It was my first time at comedy club so I didn't know what to expect. The main comedian was good but I think I like the opening one more. I was impressed with the servers ability to work in the dark. The food was good they had quite a selection something for everyone. If you are looking for something different for date night check out.

Terrible seating arrangement, and not hard to fix at all, yet they refuse to. You have a good chance of facing the wall away from the comedian and having to crane to see anything, or sitting far away at a bad angle. If you have a group of a half decent size, expect to sit quite far from most of them due to long tables and poor seating arrangement. Staff not very accommodating, tough they are fine in their ability to bring what you ask for I guess. If it's just you and one person, depending on where you end up it could be okay maybe? They've been sound a while do they have that going for them, but honestly, it wouldn't take much to have a better club than this.

It's in a basement. How good could it be? Well, I have always had a great time there. The atmosphere is great and there have been so many great comics there over the years. A must go place. Make sure that you don't sit close to the stage of you don't want to be in the show though. And always check up on the comic before you go. If their style is not too your liking, please don't go. It's much better for everyone else that way.

Full house, decent food, good drinks and local craft beer all at good prices. Great energy. A professional headliner and an entirely fine night out. Choose either the slightly tamer early show or more adult later set. Take a group of friends. Not necessarily your spouse or long time squeeze. That way you can laugh freely!!

The 3 stars are for the comedian, Tony Woods. The venue was too jammed in, and half the seats don't face the stage. I was only served 1 drink and the waitress missed my steak sandwich. Our table alone would have had another dozen drinks if the service was there.

The show was great but the food was terrible. How do you screw up nachos... Their "new" salsa was just marinara sauce with some jalapeños thrown in and the beef had no seasoning. I always looked forward to their nachos but not any more. Leaves me to wonder what else they are cutting corners on. They need Jon Taffer to fix up the place.

Rumour's is pretty good, but naturally the comedy can be hit or miss depending on your taste. The food is consistent though, and usually worth the price of admission. I'm not sure I would go there when there wasn't a comedy show, the food isn't good enough for that. Instead, if you're already there, it's decent accompaniment to your evening

I love going to Rumor’s and it is a great comedy club! I have seen numerous comedians there and almost always have an enjoyable time with lots of laughs. It can be hit and miss though, depending on what type of comedy you like. I recommend watching videos of the comedians online before buying tickets to make sure it’s something that you would like. The food is tasty and the menu has a variety of comfort food and shareable. They have really good French fries and the Bear Flag white wine is delicious. The staff are always friendly and pleasant and the service is efficient. I most recently saw Matt Falk and was so impressed with his clean comedy act (no swears or offensive jokes). I hope they book more comedians like him in the future! Would recommend for a fun night out with friends or family!

Had wings and salad, very good. Comedy was great and the bartender rocked it, had Singapore Sling, just perfect. COVID rules are in place, must be vaccinated however, quarters are tight if it's busy...so nice to see a maskless crowd having fun. Servers out done themselves.

I regularly go to Rumors Comedy Club and I almost always have a fun time. In the years of seeing comics, I can only think of 2 times when the headliner wasn't funny. The wait staff and the box office staff are always pleasant to talk to and the food is generally good and reasonably priced. My only critique is sometimes the portion size is inconsistent. My wife and I can each order the chicken fingers platter and I'll get 4 large pieces with half a plate of fries while she gets 3 small pieces with a 1/4 plate of fries. Also, once in a while the water tastes funny like it has an oily taste but this is really nitpicking.

Went forl Sugar Sammy and had a blast. The nachos were just massive and the service was really good. I understand why but the waitress started coming around with bills and stuff just at the end of the set and shifted my focus away from the show that I was watching. Still loved it!

As the saying goes; Laughter is the best medicine and I will add the pharmacy is Rumors! Laughs can always be had at the comedy club by the variety of comedians brought in year round. The website is user friendly. You can see the upcomming comedian schedule, order tickets and see the special offers on certain days of the week. The location has ample free parking in a strip mall. The interior and seating is rather a basic dated set up and could use a refresh. There is a menu that offers a wide variety of sharable or single alcoholic beverages. Along with a drink menu there is a condensed menu of appetizers and a few single food items. Service is fair. The food menu is an area of needed improvement. My party ordered nachos. The nachos initially appear as a fair size sharable portion for a reasonable price. We all agree the quality was poor and not something we would order again. The salsa is very sweet and a very small portion in comparsion to the nachos. No option for gucamole.The vegetables are very raw, not baked in and unevenly distrubuted. The cheese is very sparse. I would go back to Rumors for a night of laughs with friends; but head for appetizers pre or post show elsewhere.

This is one of the best spots in Winnipeg in my opinion. The food there is good and reasonably priced, and they have great comedians that come in. If you plan to go, my recommendation would be to get there early so you can get good seats and also to order food/drinks as it gets hard to order once the show has started. Such a great choice if you're wanting to get out of the house! I've been so many times, and will continue to go!

Saw Steve-o here, definitely a good show and the Mc was very good as well. I've never heard the term "rush seating", means first come first serve, and I would suggest getting there sooner than later to big shows. I was seated in a corner with pretty bad view and no cell reception so go early. The wings were pretty good and they offered a better wine in place of a sold out cheaper wine so I was very happy with that. The venue is a close set up, you are very close to the performer which is really cool to experience. Wine is about 8$ a glass, wings were 12$ a pound and beer is 6.50$.

Seating is over crowded. Many chairs don't face the stage, without room to turn chairs, leaves you with a sore neck after the show. Food and drinks are over priced, with our food being served before any of our drinks. Comics have been funny, but the over all experience is not great.

I've been watching comedians here for 20 years! 95% of the comedians are great. Every now and again there is a dud, but to each their own! The food has come along way since it opened that is for sure. The service in general is good but at times I've been waiting a long time for a refill. I know the servers are always extremely busy trying to keep everyone happy. The servers are not lazy by any means but maybe not enough of them? Rumors Comedy club is a fun evening out and not too pricey! As a fellow Sisler Spartan, 1995 graduate, I'll always support other Spartans????

I've been to Rumor's Comedy club over 10 times now and I have to say everytime has been enjoyable. You have to be willing to hear sensitive jokes, there's been a couple times I watched people storm out because of the vulgar jokes. They recently changed their menu and got rid of all deep fried foods, I don't mind as they have killer greek salad's but my friends who had smoked up previously were sad to see the deep fryer go. Needless to say its a great outing & the staff has always been friendly!

A chiropractors dream! You have about a 30% chance of being seated with your back to the stage so you will be twisted around to watch the show. The acts tend to be really good, the food passable (but then you went for the comedy and not the cuisine didn’t you?)

The comedians can sometimes be hit and miss (everyone has good days and bad days) but one thing that's consistent - the food is delicious (though a limited offering) and inexpensive. So, if you're planning on going out to see a comedian there and have never been, don't eat first. Order the nachos...with beef and bacon on them. We have yet toneven finish an order. The asiago spinach dip is f**king delicious too!

Pretty tight, really wish this place would relocate to a larger venue. It sucks being squished in between strangers, shoulder to shoulder. You want to laugh, but not while sitting on a strangers lap. The stairs down to the main entrance are scary. Reminds me of the old Palomino. If you require a wheelchair, there is an elevator, however, seating is near impossible to accomodate. The food is disappointing as well. I understand that a Comedy Club isn't a 5 star restaurant, but the food really needs to be revamped.

Great venue! But you can't talk, like at all once it starts. So if you're on a date, either show up early to have time together talking or go out for drinks later.

The host was great and the comedian was pretty good. That being said, the venue is dated, cramped and has a funky smell. I found it hard to rely enjoy the show because it felt like the strangers on either side of me were sitting on my lap. They really need find a new location, something with more space and updated furniture. I was thinking of bringing a large group of people from a conference for a fun night out but now that I've been there that idea is out.

Show was good. Service is disappointing. Could not enjoy myself because I was hungry the whole time. I ordered food before the show started. Our tables drinks came right before the show started. Then the waitress didn’t check in on us again until way after the main act started. When I reminded her I ordered food she said she forgot to punch it in and that I couldn’t get food because the kitchen closed.

The staff here are absolutely phenomenal. The food is average finger foods. The major negative is the seating. It’s set up with long rectangular tables with chairs. So half the audience has their back turned to the person on stage, forcing people to twist their heads at all angles. Just uncomfortable seating, and this is coming from someone that has been to numerous comedy clubs that seem to have their seating figured out.

The staff are quite friendly and welcoming. The food (fries, chicken fingers, random appetizers) and drinks are average which is to be expected of any comedy club. I went there 5 times this year, and during these times, I have seen Ben Walker and Tyler Penner. Each and every time, they repeat the same bit, word for word. I get that comedians repeat their material, but it’s as though they come up with one set of jokes for that entire year. Tyler makes a lot of fat jokes about himself, spends most of the time talking about pizza ads, getting a meatball sub from subway, and waiting at the bus stop while eating. Ben talks about being 37 (questionable) and his dad’s ugly toenails. Although, Andy Noble had different jokes, and was pretty funny. My final critique, is the seating. The entire audience is sitting in an awkward position, having to turn their head to watch the stage. Maybe arrange the seating so that everyone is facing the stage?

The comedy is almost always top rate. The openers are great and so are the headliners. Though they should switch it to comedy club and restaurant because the food should not get top billing here. It's high in price and low in taste. Only reason we buy any is because of the minimum. Don't arrive hungry.

I rated it 3 stars because I love the experience, sitting watching a hilarious comedian while enjoying some drinks. The down fall that I really hope gets fixed is the food. It was terrible. Everyone at our table did not like the food other than the nachos. Seeing that the menus were smaller than they were in the past gave the illusion that maybe they focused more on certain dishes to make them more modern and tasty. But that was not the case. The chicken burger was bland and almost no chicken, the fries were bland. The gravy in the poutine was all you could taste, the steak sandwich was disgusting.... Rumors, Winnipeg LOVES going to see comedians, please fix the food you serve as this may be a huge downfall for you and as to why there is barely anyone going there now. Everyone you talk to that has gone to Rumors all says the comedians are funny but the food is disgusting.

I had a great time here. Showed up on a Wednesday before 7 pm for the Early Burg special. It was only a couple bucks more then the cost of a ticket and I got a burger and fries to go with the show. The comedy club has an old school vibe while still being clean and up-beat. I'm new to the Winnipeg area and I'm really happy to have found this place. I will be going back, the acts cycle regularly.

You get a free mug and the birthday individual receives free admission. It's a great deal. Easily best comedy club in Winnipeg. I always have a blast love getting the half pitcher of screwdrivers.

The place is listed as LGBTQ friendly, but last time I was there, the headliner Darryl Lennox did ten minutes of transphobic material which made the friends I brought out very uncomfortable. It’s not a safe space.

In my last visit the plate was enormous as usual but the cheese and toppings weere not layer on as it has been in the past making the platter less than it normally was.

Over the past few years I've gone once or twice a year. Consistently they're organized, service is great, and the comedians have been very funny. The food is decent, the cheeseburger is maybe their best menu item. The nachos look like a massive serving but they lack toppings and should come with more salsa and sour cream for that amount of chips. Overall, a great experience.

Have been here 2 or 3 times and have really enjoyed myself in small groups. The food is quite good although fairly pricey, haven’t even thought about getting drinks either for the same reason. Staff is very friendly but it would be nice for them to. Have machines to take to tables for payment, as everyone leaves once the event is over and all have to pay at the same counter. Makes for a tight traffic jam.

Fun night out! Simple food menu, on the expensive side, although food is tasty and portions are huge. Recommend the nacho plate: cheesy, layered with toppings, and big enough to share with 4 people- most popular menu item for a reason! Come 30-45 minutes before the show to ensure a good seat and time to order food and beverages.

Awful service, bought tickets days in advance online to only be told there weren't 2 seats available when we got there. We already paid and were early. staff were non accommodating and not remorseful. Very disappointed, were from out of town and definitely will not make the effort to come into town again for this.

I love coming here and have watched some great comedians. My only criticism is the food. It's a small menu which is fine, but the food is not very good at all. Even simple things like nachos have very little toppings, lots of chips but almost no cheese or anything else on them. Deserts are not good. The french fries are the only thing I've ordered to date that were ok. I think if they upped their food game they would find that more people would order food for the show. Till that happens I recommend you eat before you go. Definitely come for the comedians.

This comedy club offers standard bar food and drinks in a relaxed (if a bit cramped) environment. Tickets are reasonable at $15. The usher who attended to us was the least bit helpful when our party of three asked for a better table that sits four, saying in her condescending voice that we may have to welcome a stranger if the place gets too busy. Thankfully, we had a different wait staff, who was friendly and attentive. The main act, Chris Gordon, gave a decent performance. He had good timing and was mostly gracious with the audience. His act is full of sexual jokes but are not offensive or sexist for the most part. The neophyte emcee clearly needs more experience. I wish they would feature female acts.

The comedy acts are top notch and normally a great show. That being said, this place has soo much potential. Need to update it though, most uncomfortable chairs. Also when sitting at the long tables at the far end of the room it is horribly uncomfortable almost sitting on some strangers lap as you are crammed in that fenced section like sardines in a can. Could use a menu update or variation a little and still keep it as simple foods.

I have been here a few times and generally had a really good time. Most of the time I leave with a sore jaw and abs from laughing non-stop for an hour. Last time however I didn't find the comedian that funny, but that will not stop me from frequenting again as comedy is subjective! The only downside I find upon attending the comedy shows is that if you are not with a big group and you get sat at one of the long tables you are sitting uncomfortably close to those around you. Also it would be nice if they could change it into more of a theater style seating, as you need to turn your seat around depending on what side of the table you are sitting. I understand that this would not be ideal if you were going for dinner, and there is only so much room in that tiny basement.

Me and my girlfriend went out to Rumor's last night because we hadn't been there in ages. We were really disappointed. The opener was really funny, she made us laugh and she was actually better than the headlinr. I think his name was BenHe was so boring my girlfriend and i almost fell asleep, he would have crushed it at a senior's home. The food and wait staff were good but the club feels very outdated compared to other comedy rooms we visit in Canada. They should hire better comedians for a "comedy club"

I had two ladies sitting beside me that would not stop talking and commenting back on the comedians show that it completely ruined my time. You should be able to enforce your own set rules with something like that

Came here once, was so packed and we all Couldnt sit together it was so packed. Tables are so long with tiny chairs that make everyone have to touch or bump into each other. The people who got the tables were lucky. They got to at least sit together with their group. If someone wins tickets for say I people, the should reserve a table for those 8 people.. other then that it was a funny act but I had to keep turning my head to wat h the comedians. Neck was so sore for 3 days later from turning around so many times. If u dont have seats facing the small stage then you're SOL !!! I felt like we were squished in like a can of sardines. That's to bad.

This didn't exactly meet my expectations of a comedy club. I went here about a year ago, and the "comedian", whose name I can't remember, just spent an hour and a half sticking acupuncture needles into his testicles while screaming "pain is real! pain is real!". Complete waste of money.
