This place is a classic hotel to enjoy vacation.

The breakfast selection and quality is about what you'd get at a hotel with free breakfast. For a 'premium' lounge with premium price, it's simply not worth it.

The lounge itself is a wonderful convenience. However, it is very unfortunate that when you fly to the US, you cannot access the lounge. It defeats the purpose of having a lounge if you often fly to the US....

Alexis Chacon

Not bad for a small airport

Sean Morrow (SeanLocal)

The Premium Plaza lounge at Winnipeg airport is located beside gate 6 in the international and domestic side of the airport, note that you cannot access it if you are flying to the US. The lounge is a nice open area with glass partitions and it seats about 80 people. They have a nice food and drink offering but premium alcohol is charged for at the bar. There is also a small business centre with computers in one of the corners of the lounge. There are plenty of power points by the chairs and they have dedicated Wi-Fi and a good selection of papers and magazines. Overall a good domestic lounge.

John Johnson

Pretty mediocre, but better than being in the main airport area.

Excellent staff, especially on Christmas day! The food was great. Breakfast was standard scrambled eggs, hash and sausage. Lunch however was amazing, the steak bites were delicious. The setup was excellent A combination of small tables to work at, comfy chairs and individual seating nooks for reading. Ps. Get the craft brew beers on tap instead of Bud Light lol, limited selection but still great options! Will definitely stop in again

Joshua Fang

Great spot to rest up, relax and freshen up before your flight. I was there around 8 am in the morning and it was busy but not to the point where you felt crowded and cramped. It’s nice to see the airport lounges back in operation as it’s been a while since I was in one for travel. The food selection was minimal and the food was still being served by the staff due to COVID so that totally makes sense. I’m a big fan of the plaza premium lounge in the domestic terminal of YVR!

Chris Spencer

Nice little lounge. Self serve buffet with some salads, hot dishes, and desserts. Snacks and drinks are all included. Lots of nooks and tables to get some alone time if you want. Next time I come through the Winnipeg airport I'll hit this up.

A small basic lounge. Pleasant enough but open and exposed to the main airport.

Joaquin Sanicolas III

A great lounge but the chairs are uncomfortable. The food is always fresh and the bar staff always friendly. Plus they always have cream puffs frozen. A small upgrade in the seating and maybe direct access to the bathroom would make this five star.

Comfy, good drink selection. Food selection could have been better!

People were very friendly. Food is decent with good variety. It's a nice place to sit in while you wait for your flight. I took pictures of the food so you can get a better look. I didn't notice many charging ports. It's not a very big lounge so it fills quickly . There is a limit to the amount of alcohol that is free. As I do not drink it's never been an issue, I just noticed a sign posted today. 2 hour stay 4 alcoholic beverages. 3 hour stay is 6 alcoholic beverages. One hour extension is $10. Looks like that includes 2 extra alcoholic beverages. Right now they moved the lattes to the bar. They still do not have decaf. I hope they rectify that in the future.

Michael Day

If you ever are stuck in the Winnipeg airport you definitely need to take advantage of the plaza lounge. Worth it

The food selection/quality has really dropped in recent years. Still a quite place to relax before a flight. Compared to other lounges in different airports this needs a little more attention to detail.

Gareth Falkingham

Not really much for the price. Really need to have a few drinks to get value out of it. Not sound isolated, so still hear all the airport bustle.

The food is great and staff are so nice. Super cozy chairs. It's above the baggage claim so you can people watch.

Phil Polvorosa

Food is always fresh. Service is always prompt and courteous.

Tammara Kennelly

Terrible service, from the time I checked in. Seems it was one employee manning the front desk, bar, and bussing. Not enough. The food selection was not great and the quality and taste was poor. The seating isn't any better than in the airport and the noise isn't blocked at all. Seating was dirty and garbage in many of the vacant spots. And my dirty dishes sat the entire 3 hours and nobody picked them up. Great value for $25 but paying $60 for 3 hours, I expect more.

Wow. This is the life. Fancy lunch, excuse me, lunches, they even have Ft Garry Dark on tap. My wife says there is only one scotch at the bar, but it is a good one. I've never bothered with the place, but for my 60th my daughter upgraded a trip to Ottawa for me and paid our entry to the lounge (she found some sort of a deal online) It is a nice space to wait. Chairs, power points for electronics, it's own wifi, unlimited buffet that changes every couple of hours, coffee, soft drinks. Expensive if you do it all the time, but if you are stuck waiting between flights it sure beats waiting at the gates or sitting in the Tim's

One of the nicer lounges in Canada. Decent food, including hot selections and the bar is quite nice - nothing premium but included. They ran out of glasses though... so we had half pint glasses used for wine and vodka on ice.

The lounge was nice and the service by the staff is great. The only issue was i found it closed early concidering there was still alot of flights that day

Danna Ramma

make sure that you have time if youre going to eat here before ur flight. service is really slow and took forever just to get drinks... we had an hour and had to rush to eat our appetizers. not much else for option at the airport seems like most places are pretty slow. decent food though if you have the time to wait.

Stewart Mann

For the price it could offer better quality.

Clean and new.

Fast food version of thin crust, fired pizza. Decent prices and good services.

Clean, but lack of selection for food.

Mirko Crevatin

Food is decent. Bar is not self service. It is open to the airport on the back side. It's no maple leaf lounge but a decent alternative.

Farouk Youssef

Great place to spend sometime before flying to your destination.

It was nice to find a Priority Pass lounge in Winnipeg airport. The entire terminal is new and so is the lounge. A bit on the smaller side though and there is no dedicated restrooms for the lounge (There are public restrooms available just beside the lounge). The food selection was also pretty decent.

It's definitely one of the cleanest lounges I've seen. Its layout is very spacious. The glass walls help the space seem even larger. The staff here are extremely friendly. Good addition to the Winnipeg Airport.

Not the best but not the worst airport lounge. Could use a better variety of food.

Karl Evenson

Janice Overend

The food is bland, but at least there is cappuccinos and wine to be had while you work. They have minimal tables, and the work booths are pretty cramped.

Roxy S

Excellent quiet airport lounge with variety of hot and cold foods/drinks. I had a free pass through my credit card, but it would be worth it to pay $50 for 2 hours during a layover.

This Plaza PREMIUM lounge really sucks! In general WestJet loyalty program was very poor during COVID. Low quality food, short of staff, uncomfortable sitting area, limited operating hours & more. This is so sad that organizations used the pandemic to justify poor service or cutting the service.

Very cute lounge with a nice balcony view of the airport below. Newly renovated Winnipeg airport lounge with group session, couch seating and office desk seating. Food selection includes: salad bar, soup, sandwiches, drink bar. The washroom however, is located outside the lounge

Darren Collins

Small but clean and open air. Nice view over the airport. Food was decent for a plaza lounge. The service was over and above. Which was really appreciated as I was flying with my family. Fort Garry dark on tap and beer nuts are always a bonus. Right next to the west jet gates is convenient. Enjoy

No bathrooms in the lounge. Limited poor range and quality of food available and a bar that is unmanned so you have to wait at to be served. Not anywhere near a decent standard lounge. Save your cash.

We had 2 free passes fr our mastercard gold and tried it in the Winnipeg location today. The greeter "Marilyn " was excellent. Although there was no printer in the lounge for customer access she offered to print some documents for us , which was very nice of her ☺.They serve one hot lunch entree and some sandwiches available. The entree was label spicy to fore warn people. Perhaps they should offet a 2nd hot food entree that was non spicy like pasta etc. This would also appeal to those traveling with children, who generally are not into adult spices. Since this is totted as a family lounge too, they should offer some dishes that would appeal to children like mac n cheeze, pizza, ice cream etc. Plus, adults would like these too :)

It's over crowded and closed at 7pm?? Not much of a perk for those of us with a later or delayed flight

Darlene Clarke

Very, very poor food choices. We visited this lounge on dec24 2019 .. late afternoon early evening. The food choices were unacceptable, the only meat item was pork , we don’t eat pork as I am sure there are many people that don’t eat pork. Or meat for that matter .. the other choice was garlic rice , we did not want to consume garlic while traveling. The veg was carrots with other vegetables. Very soggy / overcooked there was potato salad that was ok. The ceaser salad was very soggy. ,, There was some kind of coleslaw salad also very soggy .. the soup was ok .. for dessert was a small piece of carrot cake.,, also store bought cookies ,, & some kind of thin overcooked crust with chocolate syrup on it .. there was plenty to drink , but the tomato juice was sour , we couldn’t drink it ... there was plenty of alcohol if you wanted ... I explained we don’t eat pork & asked if there were any sandwiches or bread ,the answer was No .. so for the price of $37 Canadian this was a ripoff.. Also the furniture/ fabric was very soiled / dirty. Very hard to find a comfy chair to sit on that wasn’t soiled / dirty ... they should always have some fruit & sandwiches available.. This was a very disappointing experience. Compared to other lounges at other airports this Winnipeg one is sad.

Peter Cheung

Good lounge. Very good dinner food and comfy seating with a reasonable amount of outlets for charging. Like other people have noted the bathrooms are outside the lounge which is inconvenient. Similar to all lounges I wouldn't consider paying for the service but if it's included in your membership or ticket by all means take advantage.

A Great addition to the Wpg. Airport. Like most restaurants, one often has a substantial wait before boarding. As frequent travellers we LOVE the Plaza Premium Lounges! The staff are well trained and "very professional"-- i.e. they work well as a "team". The menu changes throughout the 24 hour day. The food items-- include soups, main course options, salads drinks, great coffee as well as newspapers, WIFI... Most important of all is that they are very comfortable and peaceful-- while accommodating all of one's needs. I hope that this Review has been helpful.

Probably one of the better lounges, but still far too expensive for what you get. Staff was nice and helpful. Drink limitation seemed arbitrary but reasonable.

Ryan Silveira

So you have a flight after 5pm and the lounge is closed .. ????

Benjamin Fallis

Great experience. Staff were welcoming, despite what some reviewers have said. Food was good, better than expected to be honest and they had a good selection. First lounge I have been in that had a drink limit, but that was not an issue for me and I think it's reasonable. Only complaint is no boarding announcements in the lounge, however, I understand they want to keep it relaxing and you could still sort of hear them from the rest of the terminal.

Not as comfy as Maple Lead Lounge. The ladies pouring drinks are a little judgemental, would rather care for myself. The food is good but the privacy and space are both limited. Not exactly sure the price is worth the experience considering drink limits and exposure. Attitudes of staff not appreciated but it’s whatever. This lounge may be ok for a shorter layover and if you want to eat a bunch of food, but if you have the time you might want to sit at one of the airport restaurants. Bigger glasses and friendlier staff

Maggie Deveau

Flight was delayed and spent the time in the lounge. One of the best lounges I have been in. The service was top notch.

Tj Grewal

Drove 2.5 hours to Omaha. Spent the night in a hotel with a broken AC that kept waking me up. Got to the airport for my 6am flight. Landed in Minneapolis and made it on my connecting flight- plane was broken. So had to de-plane. Took the next flight and missed my connection in Winnipeg. Now I’m in Winnipeg in the lounge because I have to fly to Calgary at 6 pm so that I can make my connection to regina in order to get in at 10pm. Long story short, there is a 4 drink limit, which is hardly enough to make me feel better. Most lounges don’t have a limit. This one does. So please be conscious of that before entering this lounge.

Umesh Sharma
