One of the stops from our road trip to Ontario from the Yukon. Casey's Grill Bar is located near the INN where we had reservations. The reception lady was polite and assisted us in our table. Since we are not familiar with the place and feel like it is only ideal for adults, the staff was really friendly with my 11 y/o The food was great and big servings too.

The service was a bit slow. Our waitress didnt seem as attentive to us as the other tables. The potato tornado was awesome as always! I had the meatball sub but it was lacking. Super plain and flavorless. The subway meatball sub is way better. The fries were already salted for me. When I tried to use the tiny tub of gravy they brought me, my fries were soooo salty. The waitress didnt come back to refresh our drinks so i ended up drinking my nephews iced tea.

So I was having a Murphy's law kind of day and we had a not so great experience at another restaurant so we decided to try Casey's. They sat us on the patio, the server ( I think her name was Emily or Emma maybe?) went above any beyond. We never had to wait for a drink, the food was quick, accurate and tasted ahhhhmazing. We noticed the manager was going out of his way to assist on the patio even rearranging the furniture for someone that needed the shade. That was lunch... since the whole covid thing most restaurants had odd hours so we went back to Casey's for dinner. We were met with apologies about having to wait, but really we only waited maybe 5 mins. The same manager from earlier had sat us and our bartender served us, She was very courteous and attentive despite being busy at the bar top. Both servers provided top notch service and made a point of conversing with us and making us feel at home. The recommendations we're on point and to top it off at the end of the night the manager came out after close and check to make sure our cab was still coming. Overall I highly recommend this place to any traveller's wanting to stop for a pint or a bite, very reasonable pricing compared to other restaurants in the area.

We were so hungry and very happy to stop in here for a late lunch. I ordered the veggie burger and fries. My husband had a chicken wrap and fries. Both of us remarked that the food was a bit bland but totally edible. My burger bun was nicely toasted and the grilled veggies on the burger a nice compliment. The fries were delicious!

We have been here a few times, every time we come to Kenora, but this is the first time I got cramps almost immediately after eating the questionable nacho burger. I had a feeling I shouldn't eat it because some looked quite pink, but I thought if I didn't eat that part it would be ok. Unfortunately I was wrong, sorry but I won't be going back.

I have always liked Casey's. I always stop in upon my approach to kenora. The recent Reno's look great...the place is always clean. The selection of draft was great...our blended drink was perfect. Loads of great apps and the entrees were a great selection of unique and standard casual fair. Friendly staff greated us...too bad about the day bartender...prolly the previous evenings excursion was more entertaining than serving us or making any suggestions about what to do while we In town. I'd go back still.

We sometimes do a short day road trip East from Winnipeg through the Whiteshell Provincial Park which will always include visiting Kenora. We make it a point to stop in to Casey's restaurant for dinner with French onion soup. Sunday was the prime rib special and was fantastic.

Not clean, the carpet needed a deep cleaning, the spaces was crowded and the food was just okay. I had the steak sandwich. The burgers my family enjoyed was very good. The waitress was great. If I had a choice, I'd cook at home. In a pinch, it's okay.

Good service, with hot food delivered after a short wait and which was quite tasty. Only had a light chicken fajita and coffee, which was nice and a bit spicy. I generally enjoy my meals I have here and would recommend Casey's when you a craving some good roadhouse food. They also have some very decent beers on tap but I didn't sample anything as I was the driver.

Visited Oct. 3/2020. One of those places that from the street doesn't look like much. However, never judge a book by its cover. Once inside, the restaurant has a rustic, welcoming atmosphere. Service is great, and the best part is the food. Visually appealing, but more importantly, is as good as it looks. We had a group of 11 and everyone had something different. Each person had the same response, that their dish was fantastic. I had the 1/2 Philly steak sandwich, one of the best I've had. The full sandwich was 2' long, so half was more than enough. Would definitely come back again!

Spent the weekend in Kenora and just a short walk from our stay we came across Casey's, I had the walleye n chips with a spicy double gin caesar while my girlfriend had the buffalo chicken strips. Very nice portions and they were not cheap with the fish. We left very satisfied and will be back next time we are in town :D

We stopped in on where to winnipeg from Dryden during the whole covid situation. We had an excellent younger lady as a waitress. She spent the least amount of time at our table but got everything spot on. Drink refills weren't offered, they were just done efficiently! The onion soups were excellent, the burger patty was flavourful and cooked just right. I think they forgot the ???? or they were out, not a big deal. The battered onion rings and Buffalo wrap was also great. Thank you

Receptionist (greeter) was not welcoming, wait staff was slow. These I could accept. I ordered Jambalaya. This dish was disappointing. In my experience and according to Wikipedia and my experience lots, tomatoes, chilis, and garlic are also used. After browning and sauteeing the meat and vegetables, rice, seasonings, and broth are added and the entire dish is cooked together until the rice is done. The operative in theabove description is a dish mixed with rice, my meal was deconstructed and the sauce was layered over the rice. I detected an abundance of stringy chicken and absolutely no pork or crawfish. There were a paltry four shrimp. There was no hint of browning or sauteeing or cooking until the rice was done.

for the price this was terrible. $65 for 3 burned burgers with zero flavor. poutine was a burnt pile of fries and some watterey flavorless gravy thrown on top. no condiments on the burger, but handed packets of mustard and ketchup like that's the only options out there ... the girls at the front seemed frazzled, and confused. the one star is for the onion rings, although flavorless, and soggy they obviously cleaned the oil

There is absolutely nothing good about my experience here except the baked spinach dip, it was amazing. To start our server, a Male server with darker colored skin and in his younger years, was very rude. When I told him he was being rude he said fine someone else can serve you then. I then replied yes please!! Onto the food, we ordered a multitude of different dishes. Caesar salad was dry and had the worst tasting dressing ever, the steak was not cooked to my liking and was way over cooked and chewy though, the mashed potatoes were so dry they were flaky reheated instead of fresh and mashy, I ordered thick cut fries but got wedges, the chicken wings were freezer burned bad and tasted old and rancid. The restaurant was very dirty including walls, seats, booths, and carpet. Will never return.
