We found it too noisy by the bar. The speakers were right over our heads. So we asked to move to a quieter place. They sat us in the dining room. It was much quieter, but it was cold. The waitress was very attentive and friendly and the food was good.

Very disappointed about this place, I ordered "kale and quinoa with Chicken", and it was anything similar to the photo on the website, the thing I was more surprised was the amount of chicken, just a few pieces. I've been there before and never had a problem until now. This is not I expected for a $22 dish in a good restaurante.

Food was excellent as always. Service was atrocious. It wasn't busy and we waited 15 minutes to get a drink order in. My 2 year old was brought her drink in a rocks glass. When the delicious food did arrive the server put a dish that was hot enough for him to say, that's hot be careful, right in front of said 2 year old, ????. After the server dropped of the bills we waited for another 10-15 minutes for her to come back the debit machine. She disappeared and when we asked another worker to take our payment she said we had to wait for ours to come back. We missed the first period of the hockey game we had tickets for. As I said, food is excellent, service is poor. As per the 3x I've been there.

Moxie's is a 100% Canadian owned and operated company. I grew up having family gatherings and bday parties at Moxie's and getting Volcano deserts. Due to the nostalgia and ability to keep up with my expectations as an adult I give this company 5/5. The staff are superb and the food is excellent. I'll go to Moxie's over Earls anyday.

Stopped here for lunch while having to run around and do a few things on a very busy day . I had the ribs and my wife had the broccoli cheese soup ....... both fabulous dishes . I’m very picky when it comes to going to a restaurant as I used to work in one Wayback in the day. After getting seated no one came to ask for our orders, After 15 minutes we left. Not impressed. My bf and I use to go there all the time. Not anymore. Terrible. Ordered a scotch and chocolate dessert. The scotch was far too watered down, and the cake was rubbery like it had been heated in a microwave. The waitress was uninformed of the menu as well, simply not very professional but effort was made at least. Kind but disorganized waitstaff. Poor overall execution likely fixed with improved coordination and leadership. Had two meals, here. Confusion over what was still available each time. Informed "sorry, we're out of hamburger patties" 45m after placing order, then waited another 45m until our entrees arrived. Passive "sorry, these are running late..." comment impressed as "not really that sorry, here ya go, not interested in hearing about this, need to run." Gluten-free meals still came with gluten items-- communication failure between waitstaff and kitchen. This was a shame, because my steak was well-prepared, both orders of ribs were done properly, and the meals, once delivered, met expectations. Prices were reasonable. Won't return here, again. There are better options in Kamloops.

I personally have worked in the restaurant industry for five years and I was shocked by the service I received about three weeks ago. It was 11 PM on a Friday or Saturday night. We were greeted buy a server and she said us at a table in the lounge. Six or seven minutes went by and a different server came over and took our drink order. We weren’t in a rush so that didn’t bother us. The drinks took about 5 minutes to arrive. It was an hour to closing and the other table was a party of 15 or so that was the only other people in the restaurant. I ordered the bread and dip appetizer and the girl told me that it was going to take an hour. I looked at the kitchen and saw the five cooks on the floor and asked her nicely how come considering there was plenty of stuff on and she told me that because of the other party that just had wrong in their food. I said well it’s only bread so maybe just go ask and if it’s going to take more than half an hour I won’t get it. She didn’t seem too thrilled about going back to ask but she did and told me it was not going to take that long so she put the order in. Food came about 10 minutes later. Tasted good And was fresh and warm. We had some friends join us from sharks club next-door and order sh we had some friends join us from sharks club next-door. We ordered three shots and she brought us the wrong ones. We told her nicely and no apology just a dirty luck she went to go change it. The other ones were left on the table so we took them considering we didn’t think she was going to reuse them that they were just going to be thrown out. Ordered one more round of shots which took another at least 10 minutes to arrive. I was waiting for the bill as we wanted to leave and were there a lot longer than expected and wasn’t happy with the service at this point. We stayed at the Sandman Signature Hotel and this was one of the restaurants inside the hotel that does have street access too. It is an excellent place for food and drink. The quality was amazing and it was definitely value for money. They also have daily alcohol specials which are worth utilising. Make sure you try the chicken lettuce wraps :) if you are staying within the hotel, you can also order their menu via room service which is an added bonus :)

Warning to anyone thinking about going to this restaurant or hotel: This Moxie's restaurant is within the same building as the Sandman Hotel in downtown Kamloops, BC. The restaurant is also accessible through the lobby of the Sandman Hotel. We made reservation for February 14, 2020 at the restaurant well in advance. The reservation was confirmed electronically, and confirmed over the phone. We arrived tonight and parked in the Sandman Hotel parking lot and entered the Moxie's restaurant. We stayed for several hours and spent dropped $231, plus tip. When we exited the restaurant and walked back to our car in the Sandman & Moxie's parking lot, we found we had been issued a $100 parking ticket! Our reservation was for 6:30 PM. The ticket was printed at 7:57 pm. User ID 1487 by "Precise Park Link" Upon my complaint, Hotel staff said the parking lot was limited to 3 hours and required approval by the restaurant. Neither our reservation or staff at the restaurant advised us of this "warning". No explanation was given as to why a ticket was issued 1.5 hours after we arrived. After issuing a complaint in person at the hotel desk, they said they could not assist. I then went to the restaurant to present the same complaint. The restaurant has stated they will have the ticket removed, however, no confirmation of this was provided. Apparently only time will tell if my ticket will be rescinded, or not. Again, take this as a warning to anyone thinking about going to this restaurant or hotel!

In addition to a great local draft and equally good local wine (See Ya Later Ranch) we had the nacho platter. You need to know that we are visiting from Tucson Arizona and those were about the best nachos I've ever had. Really good! The micro slices of fresh jalapeños were a really nice touch.

I moved to Kamloops 3 years ago, and ate here, it was excellent. A year ago, a few of us went for dinner, and nobody was super impressed, just about a week ago, my love and I went for dinner, and we were both un-impressed. We had appies, and his calimari was chewy, not supposed to be, my soup was ok, but $8.25 for SOUP...and our steak dinners, the steaks we're ok, but our sides were cold, and bland. Food isnt equal to valued price. $15 dollars for a bowl of ramen with sprouts on top. Lobsters Linguine was described to contain half a lobster or the tail I suppose, which was the size of a average shrimp. Gluten free menu said to have tacos made of corn, which then was made with wheat flour tortillas, making a very hungry customer at our table. Forgot my grandma's soup the only thing she even ordered. Came in on a Sunday the restaurant was hardly busy, waited for a very long time. Staff all adolescent and unable to maintain quality of service. They didn't charge for the tacos or soup as they had been mistaken on their part. Wouldn't recommend to anyone looking to have a quality meal.

Went in for dinner with some co workers, on our part we did say we were waiting for one more but at 15min and no one coming for a drink order we decided to flag our server for drinks...we then ordered an appy (nachos to share) and received the half order...after again flagging our server down we asked he then stated he had more coming 20min later more nachos...we then tried to place our order for our mains which was a struggle once we received the mains 2 of which were wrong.. after waiting for the proper sides and additions we had already ate our food... no manager came to talk to us during the whole visit...

I want to highly commend the quality of food & ordering for food for delivery at Moxies. I have now ordered 3 times in the last 3 months from Moxies Kamloops steak dinners to my hotel. I travel here monthly for work. I have had the Sirloin & New York with mushroom madeira sauce. I am a steak guy and I must say these have been excellent each time. I think one the perfect dinners for delivery as well as gives a good right amount of time for the steak to rest. Well done Moxies Kamloops! I hope to dine in sometime soon. The delivery process via Skip the Dishes has been flawless as well. Thank You!

Staying at the Sandman hotel (attached to the Moxies) for an essential service stay. I have had bad experiences with Moxies at previous locations, but we did not want to leave our hotel due to COVID, so we decided to just order Moxies. Was so pleasantly surprised. Although the menu was slightly different than the one provided in the room (understandable due to the circumstances), we ended up getting vegan lettuce wraps, vegetarian power bowl, shrimp tacos, and (of course) the white chocolate brownie. All were amazing, the chef came out personally to thank us and take payment, and even gave us a bit of a takeout discount. Extremely fast, and friendly, and the food was great. Thanks so much!

We went for breakfast on Sunday. Very slow service. the food was rather uninspiring (huevos rancheros that my friend got were quite weird and my toasts weren't even buttered). They also kept trying to seat us far away from the wedding party we were with even though there was available seating right next to them. On the bright side, the decor is nice and it is clean.

Being a chain as well its all pretty standard stuff and can get at any of there other locations. Nice waitresses all of whom seem to be extensively tattood. The Moxies location in Kamloops has done a superb job in hiring their serving staff. Every time I am in for bite to eat, I am more than happy with my meal and experience. You always know what you're going to get at Moxie's. The staff are friendly and well-dressed. The restaurant and bar are always clean and tidy. They offer very nice selection of drinks and food menu. I believe you can tell a lot about a restaurant by the cleanliness of the restrooms. I believe at Moxie's they realize this and make a serious effort to keep the restrooms clean. They also offer several big screen TVs. If I had one criticism, and this is not only at Moxie's but quite prevalent in many busy restaurants, it is a bit noisy in there because the ceilings are high and the dining area is large and open. Having said that I find the decor in the lounge and the restaurant is a bit unique and interesting. It is one of my go-to restaurants in Kamloops.

Really nicely decorated and the service is great. I’ve been here for breakfast and dinner. There’s a really great menu and there’s some genuinely healthy options. Great selection of beers and wines and cocktails etc. The house red wine is overly sweet and it’s texture is almost soapy and not nice - so choose something else, even though the price point is appealing.
