We have all the reviews of people who used the products and services of Syrahs Of Jasper (Night Club) in Jasper (Canada).
To this day the firm receives a score of 4.5 stars over 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is almost the highest, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the assessment is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are happy, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Night Club belongs to the category of Canadian restaurant.
The main course was delicious, every other course was decent but the whole meal took a whopping three hours. If it couldve been cut down to a reasonable amount of time it would have made the experience significantly better. Likely won't come back unless I set aside an entire evening to dedicate to dinner.
We came here after a hike, not looking fancy at all. But the unbelievably kind waiter told us we are fine and invited us in. He and his colleagues made room for our stroller and even helped us calming the baby. The menu we had was fantastic and the whole evening has been a great experience for us. Thank you!
Meat, fish of a local nature. Recommended.
Lovely calm atmosphere, nice staff, GREAT FOOD! We tried Bison ribeye and Beef striploin and loved both!
A friend mentioned about trying wild game steak in Jasper and Syrahs of Jasper came up on my google search. After a whole day of hiking, we decided to have dinner here. Kea was very nice and friendly, our table was wobbly and she happily moved us to another table. We asked her about their Elk Wellington and she explained how it was cooked. It was superb! It was cooked medium rare and was very tender. We loved it! Price was reasonable too. Highly recommended in the Jasper town area! So worth it.
Cozy place with a nice ambience, romantic feel but also can be casual. Our server was excellent and very pleasant throughout the night. Menu had a lot of great options and our food choices were all very tasty, especially the desserts! The server helped me choose a bottle of wine, which I was very satisfied with. After dinner drinks were great.
Hands down the best meal we had on our two week road trip. Price was great for quality and quantity of food. We had the bison and it was juicy and tender. They gave us home made rolls with garlic butter which were also to die for. Not only was the food mouth watering, the service was exceptional. I regret not getting our waitresses name but she worked at the bar and was very interested in chatting with us. I would give 6 stars if possible! Must visit in jasper amongst all the other restaurants!
Fine Dining in Jasper. Walked into this place for early dinner and was promptly shown to our seats. Was briefed on the menu where we had to select items from the starters, mains and desserts. So it doesn’t work like an a-la-carte style. They do serve lovely complimentary items like the scones. The braised boar belly was really great. Love how it was nicely glazed. The bison Cesar salad was good, mainly ordered it because we want to try smoked bison. The Bison Ribeye was really fantastic, it has a really great charred flavour to it. Love the Gorgonzola marsh that came along with it. The mushroom meat loaf was good too. My partner loved it for the simply mushroom flavour. We ended with the goat Cheesecake and Mocha and Almond Mousse. The Goat Cheesecake is a must try for those who love goat cheese, pair it with a strong wine. The Almond Mousse was very light and flurry. Great experience at Syrahs of Jasper!
Hidden gem you don’t wanna miss!
We spend a nice time here. The food was good (we loved the oignon tart and the mix of mushroom/sundried thing) and the staff was really friendly. We were a bit disappointed by the desert though but not a big deal.
Always a great choice for any occasion. One of our favorites when hosting guests in town, and of course for our own celebrations. Most recently we celebrated my husband's birthday, and as always had a wonderful time. Rope Ducker cocktail, elk carpaccio, elk wellington, bison rib eye, and of course the white chocolate cheese cake. Thank you Andrew for the fab service as always, and to Chef Jason for never batting an eye when my mother orders dessert first.
EXCELLENT FOOD!! Good service. Decent prices.
This restaurant needs to reconsider its recipes and quality of food. They have the right idea with the local meats and creativity, but the dishes were not enjoyable at all. Warm dip served with cold vegetables and Breton crackers Duck that was so tough you couldn’t cut it with a steak knife. The colour of the meat was alarming. A fish dish that had no texture or flavour. Would not recommend or return to this restaurant. Awful experience with a big price tag
Good restaurant. Excellent decor, impeccable service, and the food is good overall. My pheasant appetizer wasn't anything special, and boar meat was tough. The dessert was outstanding and the prices are reasonable.
OMG! Food is amazing. I ordered elk reck and dessert goat cheesecake. Everything was delicious!
Great elk meat, great wine. Enjoyed it. worth the price. Casual place offering high end food.
It was great, we had the mushroom carpaccio (awesome) as well as the steak which was exceptional, and the catch of the day which was quite good. The dishes could’ve used a little more seasoning but were creatively done and presented beautifully.
The food is excellent! They are a little on the pricey side though. The staff is very attentive to your needs and has very warm personality.
Used To Be A 5 Star Last year we ate here 3 times over the course of a week and it was 5 stars every time. Not this time. First the menu has changed and you have to order a three course meal for $45 (appetizer, entre, desert) , plus extra for premium dishes (this ranged anywhere from a few dollars to $30 dollars). This may be a good option to have on the menu but I prefer to be able to order just what I want. One of our party ordered the Bison (a fifteen dollar upgrade) and it was so sinewy and tough you couldn't cut it with a steak knife and it had to be sent back. They did take the price of the meal off of the bill and the waitress did apologize but at this price point a piece of meat like that should never have left the kitchen. There was no offer to try and make it up in any way and a special night out was ruined. Last year I would have driven from Edmonton to eat here....now I don't know if we will even go back!
This place was an awesome little restaurant to visit! I have a variety of food allergies and intolerances, and the kitchen and staff were very knowledgable and accommodating. Not only did I get a "safe" meal with no negative reactions, but they also ensured that everything tasted incredible. The elk sirloin was absolutely amazing, and the mousse was perfect ending to the meal. Highly recommend!
Impressed with the food and prep quality! Great atmosphere and perfect service , would highly recommend.
Simply delicious! Had dinner for two here and totally loved the selection of food, cocktails and desserts! Highly recommend the bison ragout and the cheesecake! Also all the cocktails I tried were amaze.
Excellent food, a lot of wild meat choices.
The food was the best we ever had and the service was exceptional, Bob was our server he knew the food and drink and took time to explain what we wanted to know about the menu. Absolutely will go back again.
A few dishes are really intriguing, and the service is good, if you pass on some minor details. It is however a bit overpriced for what it offers.
The multi course dinner was amazing high end food that comes with a high end price, but we'll worth it!! Recommended.
Our dinner was excellent. The chef and waitress went above our expectations to make our meal our own. We look forward to our next visit.
Great dining experience! Three courses are the standard. All of the selection were stellar. Take the upgrade selections... don't cheap out and you will be rewarded.
Great service great food a bit pricey but it was worth it
Food was really good if a touch overpriced. We were disappointed that there was only one vegetarian main and it was sold out though.
A fantastic culinary experience!
Amazing food, great service and on point with timing of food. Server was very personable. Would definitely go back, and highly recommend to try if in jasper!
Very good food and nice service.
Soooo good. The elk carpaccio was amazing, the bison sirloin was incredible but the most surprisingly delicious dish was the goat cheese cheesecake. It was so good we ended up getting 2 slices!
The food is amazing here! My boyfriend and I come here everytime we have something to celebrate. Sometimes we drive up to jasper from edmonton just to eat some good hardy canadian food. Every time we eat here they seem to amaze us over and over again. You will never eat anywhere as good as this place. Elk carpaccio is our favorite! If syrahs can make it how they did 2 years ago I would just order that as a meal, it was so good. We tried almost everything in the menu and I have to say everything deserves 5 stars!
Best service in town, great vibe and exquisite taste.
Great food, superb staff, our waiter, Andrew was very caring, informative and extremely polite and knowledgeable of the menu and the town of Jasper.
In the off-season, Syrah's has a three-course dinner deal for $29! I had game meatballs as a starter, a boar rack chop for the main, and a double chocolate brownie for dessert. Everything was delicious!
The food was awesome and the service was great. You have a customer for life????
Amazing elk! Great value on their $29 3 course meal offer (the elk sirloin is extra). Was very good all round. Everyone enjoyed their meals!
Omg you must try the Port and Fig Chicken...AMAZING!!! Great service too! Will be back next time in Jasper!
On August 21st we dined at Syrah's to celebrate our daughters 16th Birthday. What a great evening we had! We were greeted by the Manager Jesse, who was so welcoming and immediately wished our daughter a Happy Birthday. Then our Server Kara, who is so nice and professional ,took care of us for the evening. We didn't have to wait long for any of the dish's and she put a candle in our daughters piece of cake for her Birthday. What a sweet thing to do! The food was amazing. I have to mention the "Game Meatballs". Wow,just wow. The meatballs are so flavorful and the gravy/sauce is the best I have honestly ever had.. As we were leaving all the other Servers wished our daughter a Happy Birthday too. They made an already special day that much more special.Thank-you to you all! We look forward to coming back next summer.
Goat cheese cheesecake. Nuff said
Amazing food amazing service I would 100% recommend
Always a good meal. Friendly, attentive and accommodating staff. One of my favorite restaurants in Jasper.
This restaurant is amazing. This was my second visit and the food and service were superb both times. Thank you!
Amazing!!! 3 courses for a very reasonable value. Caters to all dietary requirements, staff extremely friendly & accommodating, meals so tasty!! Best game meat in town!!! Highly recommend! Thank you!
Absolutely Fantastic service. Menu is appealing and very intriguing. The food is unbelievable and portions are perfect!
The food is delicious and the staff is super nice. Local owner and has great passion to give an excellent experience both to the pallet and mind.
It was a wonderful meal, and the chef is top notch. It's a 5 star restaurant, especially considering that Jasper is a small town.
Amazing local fare. Owner chef with a lot of passion. Highly recommend!
Great food. I love the Boar Bacon Ceaser. Bison Sirloin is great. Elk Carpacio is great appetizers but the Salmon Pate and Goat Cheese is divine.
Food was good, portions of the appetizers ridiculous. They charge $39 for dinner, had to pay extra for the elk carpaccio that had 4 toonie sized paper thin slices. The smoked bison with gnocchi had 5 pieces of meat but it was good. The duck was great and the chicken with figs too. Desserts and service excellent.
Some real dynamic dishes and Canadian flavours. The wine selection could use an overhaul and reflect a more local Canadian palette....considering they are next door to Jasper Wine Cellar, which has a detailed selection of BC wines.
We had two appetizers and each had a main dish, all the food was amazing! The staff was just as amazing as the food; however, we both left feeling almost as hungry as we walked in there as! The only complaint that I would have is that the portions are extremely small. If you are hungry don't go there, The prices are also high for the amount of food you get, it was about 100 dollars for 2 people! If you are an average citizen you might feel out of place with the other people who are there
We have been a few times now and will keep going back. Good wine, food and great service!
Came for a light meal and got berated by the server over wether we were going to spend enough since we were ordering light. This was after already ordering two $12 cocktails that frankly were not that good. Go to Evil Dave’s or any other place in Jasper. Food was decent.
Lots of fun at Syrahs. Bluff charge cocktail was really good. Bison Ragout and the Boar Chop were also really good. Mixed Berry Sorbet and the feature flavor for Crème brûlée was maple butter, it was insane! Don't get the crab cake though it was very poor. Same consistency between outside fry and inside filling. It was a let down.
First time to Jasper and tried this place on a whim. Amazing!! Everything we ate was delicious! The salmon and goat cheese pate was light, flavourful and satisfying! Our mains were the striploin steak and boar chop! Cooked perfectly and the sides that came with both were well paired and tasty! Our dessert was the double chocolate blonde and my husbands favourite! Was soft, chewy, and crisp on the edges! Not too sweet! Be sure to make a reservation or be prepared to be turned away if they don’t have seats available. Staff was friendly and quick in their service!
Outstanding. Superb food served with style in a lovely space. The cooking is world-class. By far the best food I enjoyed on a long road trip. Jasper deserves -- and now has -- a really fine restaurant.
Food good! Staff must remember that a paying customer has the money to spend if treated right- as in a decent tip. Hard working Albertans/ Canadians will support your restaurant much better if you treat them
We had been looking around town at a few places, we decided to give this spot a shot and omg. Hands down not only do the folks here go above and beyond to make you dinning experience amazing, but the food cannot be compared to anything I have experienced in the past. Our server Matt was phenomenal not only in service but some table side conversation which made the atmosphere even More inviting. If you have the chance to visit I 100% recommend it. Heck even let the staff decide what you should try which is what we did and they didn't lead us a stray at all. We will certainly be back again!
Syrahs made my last stay in Jasper a memorable experience. The staff, specifically Kara, and Dylan were so attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome. The food choices were local and everything we tried was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Great service, decent cocktails (Side hustle G+T) and good appetizer. We ordered both the steak and ribeye for our mains. Ribeye was cooked perfectly. Broccolini was a tad overcooked and had way too much pepper in it. Steak was cooked perfect as well but just lacked any flavour. Even just a tad more salt would likely go a long way. Mac and cheese was okay. I think we broke our rule of choosing these steak dishes. Unless a place truly specializes in steaks its probably not worth the price. I would say the Ribeye was just a pass. I would 100% come back and try more apps and other mains though - there's a ton to choose from. At almost $50 for the steak I would expect more.
We tried the restaurant because of the rating and we're disappointed. The food was mediocre and so was the ambiance.
Great beer and wine selection. The food is literally the best you can find in Jasper. Try the elk steak, you won't be disappointed.
Amazing food!
Wonderful & welcoming service. Food is top notch with elk, bison, Sturgeon, halibut and more. Good wine and spirtits list. Try the desserts! Mix of local flavors with French. We loved it! Small and intimate so be sure to make reservations. You will not be disappointed.
The staff was so kind, and the food was delicious. Definitely would recommend to all!
Fantastic meal and friendly service. Good choice of traditional Canadian dishes and enjoyed the little extras along the way. Highly recommended for that special meal when in Jasper!
One of Jasper town good restaurants, food is creative and mouth-watering ???????? must visit lists ????????
Real good restaurant, wine selection is crazy, the service is amazing! We ask for wine by the glass to go with our plate! Very good choice. Every plate is tasty, the menu is insteresting, (vegetarian not your best choice) can really taste the local and freshness in everything. With amuse-bouche and delicious biscuit offer by the house! If you want to treat yourself this is the best spot in town!
Excellent food and amazing service at a great price. This is a hidden gem in Jasper if you want a more sophisticated meal. We'll be back! Again!
As always, Syrahs is our number one choice in Jasper! The food is beautifully presented and always delicious; the service is professional yet relaxed. Thanks to Dylan (and Jesse!) for yet another memorable evening :)
Unbelievably interesting food, two Aussies trying local and very impressed even before discovering the cellar
Sorry, meals not worth the price .
I ordered the Bison ragout. Tasted good overall, but the Bison was kinda chewy. The salmon (main course) was great though!????
A delightful gem! Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic service and truly delicious menu offerings. We will return!
Service was amazing. Friendly and conversational without being overbearing. Sunday's they have a staff appreciation discount and the staff were so good I just sent it back in the tip! Pictured is the port and fig chicken and the best old fashioned. Wife had th bison ragout. The perfect dinner for a classy date night out in Jasper! Would definitely go there again!
Dinner
Fantastic place... great food and great service. The elk striploin is sooooo delicious!!! A cravable meal.
The food was interesting. If you are a vegetarian, you have to like mushrooms if you want to eat here. We started with the caramelized onion tart and mushroom capaccio. I really liked the mushroom carpaccio, the tart was ok. For mains we ordered the elk striploin and wild mushroom loaf. Both were delicious. For dessert, we shared the double chocolate blondie… very underwhelming (and part of the reason we deducted a star. We made reservations for a Friday evening but they were not that busy when we arrived. I was not too impressed with the table the host decided to seat us in as I felt it was not private or romantic at all (and there were other empty tables for two that they could have seated us at). I realize we could have asked to sit at another table but we did not want to be troublesome. At least the service was good, our server was witty and friendly.
Friendly and helpful staff. Every part of the meal was excellent including the unexpected amuse bouche. Wine and spirits selection was good too £££ yes but certainly worth it.
We ate twice at Syrahs while in Jasper. The first night they were busy but we were able to get bar seating. The prix fixe menu is a great deal! The food was fresh, flavours clean and the bartender was friendly and informative. The basic wine list is well thought out and has good choices to match the food. There also is a reserve list offering an impressive array of syrah-based wine from around the world if you are up for a special treat. The second night found us wondering where we could find a meal in the middle of a rain storm and power failure. The manager and staff at Syrahs were sympathetic and offered to put together a meal of cold dishes that would not require cooking. Not only was this the only food available in a blacked out town, but all the cold dishes were excellent. This kind of service is rare to find, and truly appreciated!
Dear god... Everything was exceptional here! Even the waiters were amazing! Super friendly and kind! They gave us a lot of advice for our trip!
Managed to snag a table after a reservation decided to cancel. This was an amazing experience with 4 perfect dishes for our group. Staff are excellent. Be sure to stop by this restaurant.
The food is very pricy with small portions, not comparable with the restaurants in Banff Town. Imagine you spend nearly 20 dollars but only get a few leaves for the salad. Besides, the combos of appetizer, entree and dessert do not save you money; instead, ordering them one by one is even cheaper. Btw, elk rib tastes like pigeon.
If you are looking for an exceptional dining experience in Jasper, look no further! Our recent visit to Syrahs was amazing from the moment we walked in the door! We were treated like family (in a good way!) from start to finish & we can't say enough about the quality of the food, drinks and service! My husband (who is a total foodie) ordered the elk tenderloin and said it was hands down the best elk he has ever had! My boar chops were also delicious and the accompaniments to both of our dishes were fresh, local and absolutely amazing !! Take the time to reserve a spot at Syrahs and you most certainly will not be disappointed!
Food and service is always great. There's a real sense of people caring about what they do.
The food, atmosphere and staff were amazing!! Ao happy we decided to go! The meatball appetizer was to die for! I highly recommend going!
We came in for our anniversary dinner and had such an amazing experience! Toni was our waitress and was super knowledgable and had exceptional customer service. We went with the features of the night and enjoyed every last bite. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Jasper!
AMAZING!! Great food and service. We had the elk carpaccio and wild meatballs for appys. Both were amazing, but that carpaccio, I'd definitely have again. For dinner we had the salmon and elk sirloin. The sauce for the elk sirloin was so delicious and the meat was very tender. The salmon was so light and tender and almost silky, with a delicious orange sauce. Cant wait to go back to jasper again to eat here
Top end service, I had Elk for the first time. This is the place to try it. Such a wonderful meal!
Very nice restaurant, great service, a little pricey, but worth it. Would recommend.
Great ambiance, food and service. Their goat cheesecake is to return for!
They have a great global selection here. Wines from Australia, Europe, South America, and the United States of America are well-represented here. Also, be sure to look for the organic tag on their wines. If you haven't tried organic wine, it is very low in sulfates and will not give you the same headaches most wines can when you drink a bit more than maybe you should. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, so be sure to ask them questions.
Food was alright but not as good as I would expect for fine dining.
the food and service were fantastic this is our favorite restaurant to visit I had the elk steak and it was out of this world
Excellent food, fantastic service from Jesse. Interesting menu choices. Highly recommended
Don't hesitate. Treat yourself it's worth every penny but it will cost a few.
Delicious! Had the warmed kale salad. Service was tip top. Will be returning for sure
Great little spot! The Mushroom Carpaccio was amazing and so was the Fig Chicken. Everyone in my group enjoyed their plates from beginning to end. Amazing food, great service, and cozy atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back our next visit!
Great place great staff great selection
Super friendly waitress and good food! My parent who ate meat were super happy, my vegetarian meals were nice too, but could have had a bit more flavour. The coconut mango brule for example didnt taste like mango at all. Overall very nice dinning experience!
Amazing meal, and one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had.
Food and service were excellent. Nice atmosphere. Everything was just right. Cheesecake for dessert was awesome.
My now fiance and I got engaged earlier in the day and spent the evening here. The food was amazing, the service was just as good. Very happy with everything and recommend eating here to anyone. Prices are a little high but definitely worth every cent.
We were wandering around Jasper on a Sunday night and happened to find this place. Excellent food, especially the cassoulet we had as our main course. They gave us a yummy amuse-bouche and some biscuits before the mussels we ordered as an appetizer. Service was quick and attentive. Would recommend.
Best food and best restaurant we have been to in our Rockies trip. The food is absolutely delicious. Service is impeccable. Strongly suggested !
Great food and service. Jesse is a good guy, and the bison ribeye was tasty
Great place.
Gotta have the poutine! Nice, small and charming restaurant. I’d definitely go back. Dessert was a crazy good goat cheese cheesecake. Would absolutely wanna get the Elk chop next time. Server was attentive and friendly.
Great place with welcoming staff and great ambiance. Portions on the smaller side, but with a focused menu, you can still get a great meal.
Great food and service. Colin was great. Good luck in Ireland ????
Delicious food, quality cocktails
Nice food and excellent service. We came in on a Sunday and our server told us we got 30% off for the Sunday deal!
The best restaurant in Jasper by far. Tried the Mushroom carpaccio, the Wild mushroom loaf, and the Bison Ribeye. I couldn't believe the carpaccio was vegetarian, it definitely is high cuisine. 10/10 would come back when I'm in Jasper.
We enjoyed everything - appies, main course and the service by all staff and great drinks - very well done!
Excellent, the best signature dishes in Jasper. Fantastic Chef. Top Service. Good wine and sportu selection. Probably majority od US and Canadian would not appreciate this kind of dinning but for European it is a must in Jasper after visiting local nature attraction. I have been In Jasper in July 2017. Piotr
Four of us popped in and were seated immediately. Starters and mains were fantastic.
We had a delicious and romantic dinner here. Food and wine was excellent, prices reasonable for the quality. Staff were friendly and accommodating during these Covid-19 times!
This evening my wife and I chose to try Syrahs of Jasper as the ratings for the food and experience were quite high. Unfortunately our experience was a disappointment, we thought the food and the restaurant itself was very average. The best part of the evening was the service and the dessert. Truly, the goats cheese cake was superb, try it... yummy.
Everything we had was delicious! Ensure to make a reservation.
Very upscale place compared to other spots in town, but glad that they let our sweaty and dusty selves in after we just finished an arduous day of hiking Edith Cavell. Their chef's cheese plate for two was amazing and had a great variety of flavors and textures. It was so massive that we were basically full after only eating that! It made the task of eating our main courses much more difficult. Luckily my fresh catch, sturgeon, wasn't enormous. It was light and flavorful and just enough to put me over the edge of no return. We wanted to try their double chocolate brownie for dessert, but we were fighting a losing battle.
We had a WONDERFUL experience at Syrahs of Jasper. An amazing, friendly server who was very accommodating to dietary restrictions, and fantastic food. We definitely be back!
I’ve been to jasper a lot for date night’s and supper with my wife. Lastnight’s meal at Syrah’s was absolutely hands down the best I’ve experienced in my many years of visiting jasper for dining. The staff was amazing, the food absolutely incredible. So flavourful, not a detail missed. Will return without a doubt. Although, it’s costly, one of the, if not THE highest priced menus I’ve ever had in jasper. But I had no complaints about the experience.
The service was exceptional, the food was fantastic. Great atmosphere in a cozy little restaurant. What more could you want?
I highly recommend this place! Was not disappointed! We had a very pleasant evening. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about what was on the menu. We happened to sit next to a group of people we had spoken to earlier in the day whilst watching a young bear up a tree, so the ice was broken. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable meal, discussed the options and all highly rated what we chose. I shall hopefully return.
For more reviews of soup locations check out @therealsoupnation on Instagram. ---------- Nice ambiance. We didn't really like the forced three course meal. It would have been nice to choose your own dish. It almost felt like being bullied into the three course meal. No option to even share three courses among two people. Started with appetizers, had the Syrahs salad. Amazing salad except for the avacado. Had it been frozen? The texture was way off consistently in three salads. The mushroom carpaccio was absolutely incredible. Thinnly slice mushroom with a garlic pesto and sliced almonds. Probably the best dish we had. As for mains, one member of our party had pork chop, which was excellent, except slightly overcooked. Another member had the chicken which was incredibly tender and probably the best main of the three. I had the steak, which I ordered medium rare but came out medium to medium well. Regardless it was still very tender and tasty. The desert, Blondie, dense cake and ice cream was rich and sweet and just what we needed. As for the staff they were very engaging and helpul. Jasper is awesome.
We discovered the Syrahs of Jasper last summer but had already eaten. We were determined to go there if we were back in Jasper. A lovely creative and inspiring menu. So many delicious sounding dishes to choose from. We made reservations and were looking forward to our dinner. The duck, the Alberta bison rib eye, and the Bison ragout all caught our eye. We really appreciated our waiter, Cole's expert opinion and we ended up both going for the Alberta bison rib eye. We started with the delicious elk carpaccio. Melted in our mouth and served with a bit of greens and toasted bread. As someone who often chooses carpaccio as my appetizer, this one is well worth it and literally melted in the mouth. A lovely start to our evening. The cocktail menu was very interesting but we were keen to try the Okanagan syrah as our wine and it certainly didn't disappoint! Figured we couldn't go wrong with a syrah given the restaurant name. Our steaks were nicely presented and were perfectly seared to medium rare. The spicing on them was perfection. The cherry reduction came with real cherries on top and were a wonderful marriage to the bison steak. I haven't had a good steak in a long time and this one hit the jackpot. Perfectly prepared, spiced and presented and every bite was flavourful and delicious. The wild rice and mushroom risotto was well balanced and the rice cooked to perfection. The garlic brocollini was al denté, just the way it should be. We decided to try the house speciality, "La fin" which was a lovely presentation of three of the house favourites: the goatcheese cheesecake, double chocolate blondie and the apple bread pudding with homemade vanilla ice cream. The icing on all that was the 2 after dinner drinks we received with it: a warm whiskey from Quebec and the house "pick me up", an espresso with Bailey's and Kailua. A lovely ending to a delicious dinner. Service was exceptional and attentive. Our waiter, Cole, was a pleasure the whole evening as he provided helpful suggestions regarding the menu. We will definitely return to Syrahs of Jasper on future visits. If you are looking for a nice ambience, well prepared food and excellent service, Syrahs of Jasper is an excellent choice.
Fantastic unique food and terrific customer service. Seriously, the best meat Meal of our 10 day trip. Thanks to the chef, owner and server for a wonderful dinner.
Great place for a nice dinner in Jasper. Food was excellent with a good wine list. Every dish was seasoned well with a great use of ingredients to bring out the exceptional flavours of the dish, such as the blue cheese on the onion tart.
Gorgeous and cosy place in the center of little Jasper. We had a really good and delicous dinner incl. starters, main course and dessert and were more than satisfied. The waiter Bob was more than friendly and extremely professional. Highly recommend.
Visiting Canada, with our first night in Jasper and found Syrahs. We had a wonderful dinning experience each having a starter, main and dessert. We found the staff very attentive and the service quick but not rushed. The food is reasonably priced. If your in Jasper I would recommend visiting, not sure if it's the type of place where you need to book but we managed to get a table for 2 with no wait.
Fantastic food. We had dinner and then came back for breakfast. Very classy, but not stuffy. Casual dining with a gourmet flair. Staff is awesome, very friendly. Not tip grubbers. I think this might be the best place to eat in Jasper.
Dine in
Everything from the start was a success. Warmly greeted at the door. Service was exceptional, server made us feel welcome. His name was Dylan. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. I would recommand this place. A little on the high when it comes to pay,but so worth it.
Nice Canadian food and great atmosphere. Not the cheapest place, but staff are friendly and helpful. Give it a try!
Fantastic flavors and great service.
Staff was awesome and food was amazing! We will definitely be back!
Very nice place!! A little pricey, but good food and just the right amount!!
Fine dining in the Rockies! We were impressed by the service and quality of food here. Plus there were a lot of little bonus bites... warm mushroom bread with cardamom butter, an amuse bouche almost immediately when you sit down, and another between courses. Highly recommend!
We went there and couldn’t ask for a better service and food. The owner, Jesse, was very welcoming and had reserved a table for us. He even treated us with some opening drinks and appetizers. The food and desserts were absolutely amazing and delicious. Their wine menu was spectacular. We cannot wait to go back to Jasper and visit Syrah again. Thank you all again!
Everything was delicious! Small place with a great atmosphere, even better food. Don't skip Syrahs.
Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere . Great work .
Been here for two nights straight, which is very unlike me - especially on vacation. I believe that says it all. Food was very very good, as was the overall experience. When I was here the menu focussed on game and meat and was absolutely delicious. Probably the best venue in the town of Jasper!
Meal type
Fantastic meal, wine and service
We had the charcuterie board and it was absolutely amazing. The wild boar was tied with the spreads for highlight of the meal. Definitely not the most affordable place in Jasper, but worth treating yourself to at least once.
The service and food here are top notch! You can tell everyone here genuinely likes working here. They take the utmost care and attention to you which enhances your overall dining experience. Not to mention the food is some of the best I have ever tasted. Keep up the great work!
Quite possibly the best meal I've ever had. Such a cozy spot that from the outside you'd never know that a restaurant this amazing is hiding there. Top notch wait staff, top notch local food.
Amazingly delicious. One of the classiest places I've been too and price to match.
The servers were nice and accommodating. There's not much options on the menu. If you're in to game meat, this place would be for you. Unfortunately I wasn't and the elk sirloin did not satisfy my taste buds especially for the price they were selling it for.
Fabulous service & absolutely delicious food! We would highly recommend this restaurant!
Excellent food. Excellent service. Fantastic gluten free options. Will be back again!
Fantastic food, creative menu and good service. Chef really is passionate about his creations.
Great staff and fantastic food we will be back
One of the best restaurants I've been in my life, food, drinks service was outstanding! The bison poutine was amazing, the bison brisket was so good, with perfect panfry fries, salmon was cooked to perfection, elk tenderloin a beautiful medium rare, the drinks were all really good, cappuccino creme brulee was really creamy and had rich coffee flavour, finished off with the sortilege, drink with perfect balance between canadian whisky and maple syrup, had an amazing time!
Delicious food and 30% off on Sundays. Win win
Chef Jason's summer menu is a greatest hits compilation. Friendly service and quaint room. I'll be back.
Food was alright, but service was atrocious. Dude that waited on us clearly didn’t care and couldn’t be bothered. Listened to the tables around us get the full specials run down and info about the menu from their lovely, other waiter. But nothing for us. My husband’s wine glass sat empty for 30 minutes with no check-in. We ended up getting the check early and taking desert (it’s a prepriced 3 course meal so you don’t really have a choice) to go. But goodness, even after we asked for the check, we still waited another 15 minutes.
The food was fantastic... I would eat here again
They try to create a fine dining experience, however, I find that the execution isn't there. Price tags are way overprice compare to the quality that you get. Will never come back.
This restaurant actually only sells menys to 45 CAD with ++ on adds, they say its posible to buy a la carte, and even when they told the price of a dish, they have manipulated the total price to be the Price of the meny with ++., even that we did not get the desert. Not a fair treatment.
Omg this place is amazing.. service was exceptional.. Everything exceeded my expectations.. Food tastes and portions were exactly what I was looking for. Super friendly to my wofes's dietary needs and very accommodating. I'd go here again for sure!
Food was superb and they even went out to get booze from the store that wasn't on their menu.
Excellent food and sevice
Not worth the time and money.
There is always a place that sometimes you just do not know about, this was the place. Recommended by a friend we booked a table and just finished what I would say, was an amazing meal with incredible service. Thank you Matt for not just being a professional server, but yet very personable and remembering us from the eyes up lol. It's places like this that make going out a different experience and not your typical everyday restaurant. Food was amazing, drinks were superb, dessert (umm a must!) and to top it off they offer us a crazy deal because it was Sunday. We will be back for many reasons. Cheers, Chris and Family
Probably the best elk steak I have ever tasted. The rosemary sauce was the perfect pairing. My fiance's eyes almost popped out of his head. I loved the service and atmosphere too. Perfect location to take a nice walk afterwards too. This was my second time to this location and I will definitely return to see what wonderful creations the chef has.
Went here on Monday February 15th for my birthday dinner. We made a reservation before hand and had a great experience! Our server I believe was named Christine (could be wrong) but she was awesome and very knowledgeable about the menu and features etc. They had you sanitize your hands upon entry and the tables were spaced 6+ feet apart, which we really liked because we felt safer. We had the elk carpaccio and bison poutine to start followed by the duck confit and boar chop, and for dessert an ice cream and espresso dessert which they lovingly brought out with a candle which was nice. We also had some draft beers and wine, and the service was always speedy. Every single item we had was flawless, delicious and we felt we got great value for the quality of the service and food. 100% our new “go to” spot in Jasper. Thank you so much to the chef and team! :)
High price, medium quality food, not so friendly service! Not COVID-19 safe environment at all. We made reservation but changed to take out because the place was packed with no social distancing. Giving 2 star because very good cheese cake. Small portion but tasty.
Awesome food and service! Highly recommend for foodies. Thanks Bob and team, we'll be back.
Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Mushroom carpaccio was incredibly tasty. The duck main course was excellent and Chef's "tasters" in between courses were delicious. Our server was personable and informative and guided us to a gorgeous bottle of wine. Dessert wasn't memorable but we were so satisfied by that point, it didn't matter!
Holy s**t the elk Wellington was amazing. And as usual Le Fin is a great way to end to meal. I have been here probably a dozen times and loved it every time. We will be back every time we’re in Jasper!!!
Delicious food! Great and friendly staff. Knowledgeable about the area.
Fine dining place in Jasper . I loved the bison ragout but the other orders weren't up to my expectations. We'd ordered the steak and a cold cut appetizer which we didn't enjoy but honestly it was an experiment. I'd definitely go back for the Ragout though! Oh and the cheesecake too !
Great service, the food was good not what I expected it needed a few things to be great but overall it was good. The place is so cozy and intimate everyone was super nice. Definitely will go again ????
Syrah’s of Jasper $196.00 + TIP $49.00 Charcuterie and cheese selection- ???????????? Excellent selection of local cheeses and game meats. Blueberry cheese and game sausage were our two favourites. Elk striploin with chocolate rosemary Demi-glacé. Roasted baby potatoes, kale and blistered tomatoes. -???????????? cooked medium-rare and extremely tender. Venison loin chops with wild berry reduction. Duck confit potatoes with grilled brussel sprouts, zucchini, and peppers. ???????????? cooked medium. Terrific! White chocolate goat cheesecake- ???????????????? rich, creamy and served with white and dark chocolate sauce with berries. Double chocolate Blondie with homemade vanilla bean ice cream. ???? Overall experience - Fantastic! Excellent service from a friendly and knowledgeable server. Nice decor and a clean and well appointed restroom.
Our server was Matthew. Fantastic gent! Food was delicious. Menu was amazing. Staff were very nice as well. The wild boar was melt in your mouth. Covid sucks, cuz id say go there right now. Eat that boar. You wouldn't regret it
Amazing food/drinks and service.
Fine dining in jasper! What a great experience. Service..top notch. Thanks Bob. Food..this is what a true culinary experience is about. Well done folks, well done.. We will definitely recommend,as well as return.
Came here twice in during a 5 day stay. A superior restaurant experience for reasonable prices (relative to US cosmopolitan places.) By no means cheap, but we got serious value for our dishes. Elk and duck dishes were standouts. If you are game for game meat, check this place out. Great desserts too.
Very disappointing. The restaurant tries to deliver some fine dining experience, but fails to do so on all fronts: the waiter was nice but mixed up our order, the food was alright at best, and the atmosphere does not suit the price tag either. We paid over 200 dollar for 3 without wine; definitely not worth it! They serve amuse geule before and sorbet after the starter. Amuse was a fridge cold blue cheese tart with undercooked pastry - not the best start. Then we had 2/3 entrees, the third one was mixed up, corrected, an served 20 minutes after the others. The sorbet was pre-portioned and re-frozen: it was stuck to the glass it came in and not a great eating experience either. Finally, mains (elk rack and bison) were alright, but definitely not worth the 18$ premium over the 45$ for the menu! Overall, the restaurant prides itself on the creativity of the dishes and the flavor combinations. Unfortunately, execution is average at best and does not justify the very high price tag.
We ordered the elk steak and duck .Both were amazing dishes. The atmosphere is cozy with candles on each table.
We had a great experience at Syrahs'. Walked in without a reservation towards the end of the service. We were looked after by a very friendly and attentive server. She relayed a dietary restriction to the kitchen team who did everything to accommodate. The food came at a good pace, the cocktails, wine and dishes were excellent. We did slightly over stay the hospitality due to starting our dinner late, but we offered to settle, and we were never made to feel like we bothered. We happily bought a "round for the kitchen". Recommended.
Every course exceeded expectations... beautiful food. Service was exceptional. Wine was perfect. Thank you all
A chance encounter to come out and enjoy some local fine dining, on a week where nothing was open, we decided to give this restaurant a try. We didn’t know what to expect but we were amazed. We had the privilege of having Matt serve us and he was a delight. Very knowledgeable of not only the area, but also on the menu. We started with the mushroom carpaccio (with a thousand modifications for allergies) and the team was wonderful to accommodate. Even though it wasn’t the way they designed the dish, the allergy specific dish was nothing short of amazing. I had the bison tenderloin with mashed potatoes and I would’ve never thought to pair figs with the sauce. The figs played a very subtle flavour to the aroma from the broccolini and garlic. The tenderloin was tender, melt in your mouth, and full of juices. Ridiculously flavoured. The Angus striploin with asparagus and modified side was also nothing short of amazing. Also melt in your mouth meat. The chef, Jason, knew exactly how to cook the meats and you could see the effort put into making sure every cut came out perfectly. The dessert shown is the double chocolate blondie. A cookie cake with homemade ice cream tasted immaculate. I wish I had room to try the goat cheesecake! This was a wonderful evening of great food and the ambiance was just right. Despite Covid regulations, this restaurant made you feel safe with the restrictions. We are definitely coming back the next time we get into Jasper. A definite must try.
Amazing fine food
Very enjoyable! The food was excellent, with great flavour and presentation, and the service was friendly and very helpful, particularly when we needed to have adjustments made for our food allergies.
Wow this place is so good. We were able to get in on a Wednesday without a reso but it's a small venue so I recommend making one ahead of time. Our food was phenomenal. Appy: elk carpaccio, mains: bison ribeye and beef tenderloin, dessert: white chocolate goat cheesecake. The server was very personable and our conversations flowed easily with him. It was a perfect spot to finish our first Jasper Christmas holiday.
Best meal I have ever bought. If you go promise me you will get the white chocolate goat cheesecake as I will be returning just for that everytime I go to Jasper
Tried this place out for a birthday dinner after reading some good reviews. It did not disappoint. They brought out a spoon full of apple slaw for each of us and some biscuits which were great. We started with the elk carpaccio which was amazing. For mains we had the veggie pastiche and the halibut that was on special. Both were delicious. I have to say though, the halibut was quite pricy. We finished things off with the goat cheesecake which was also fantastic. The food came out really quickly too. The only negative thing was that we were charged $7 for still water. Seems a bit outrageous. We weren’t given an option of tap water but we heard the server ask another group if they wanted still, sparkling, or tap water.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere... would go back in heartbeat... anything elk is awesome, especially chef's special.
Great food and excellent service. We try to dine here everytime we're in Jasper.
I'll summarize by saying this is a place where you'll pay $200 for a 3 course meal for two with drinks. It is good but I would say that it's scratching at fine dining and is not quite there yet. If you want to try interesting meats and don't mind dropping a few $ then this is a good place to go for something different than pizza and burgers. Overall the food was very nice. We had the chefs dinner for two to start which was a Canadian take on charcuterie with game meats and some interesting cheeses, served with bread, crackers, soft pretzel and hot mustard. The boar bacon was excellent. The only downside was the cracker seemed to be a just a breton cracker from a box. A hand made cracker or oatcake, just something a little different, would have really elevated the charcuterie board. For main I had the bison ribeye. It came rare with a cherry reduction, garlic broccoli and a mushroom risotto. The meat was cooked nicely and had a good pink colour and didn't bleed on the plate. It was a little over seasoned with salt but still tasted good. The risotto was slightly undercooked but was a good combination of flavours. The garlic broccoli was very nice. The cherry reduction was a bit sour, it wasn't my favourite but that might just be personal taste. The presentation was okay – the dish could have been more neatly presented. If you like steak but want to try something a bit different I would recommend it. The amuse-bouche was also a nice touch, a small tasting spoon and a miniature biscuit with a spread. The meats were quite rich so I had an old fashioned to finish the meal instead of a dessert. I expected it to be served the classic way with piece of lemon or orange peel but it came with a little chunk of orange on a stick instead. It was ok, pretty much just a glass of bourbon with a cherry and orange chunk as a garnish – a bit more attention to detail would have been nice there. Where my review really loses a star is the ambience. The branding and price tag of this place really suggests upscale/fine dining and with that usually comes a service that puts you at ease and adds a bit of warmth and opulence to the experience. Our server was nice but was quite brusk with us, and had some quite loud exchanges with other patrons which we found a bit alienating. We were also sat at front where the dining room was on display through a full height window where I got to make eye contact with people standing in the street which was a bit awkward. It was an odd ambience of trying to be a quaint local restaurant but with notes of snooty upscale foodie dining. Overall I think this place is looking to fill a good niche in Jasper, it just needs some more attention to detail to really be a $$$ experience.
We had the lamb and bison sirloin dinners. Superb flavors and the accompanying vegetables were also great.
Awesome local food, the best I have ever tried but ask for less black pepper!LOL!
Absolutely delicious!
I could wax poetic about this restaurant's food. We were started with an amuse bouche that was absolutely delicious. For entrees, Ed had the bison ragout and I had the halibut, which were both beyond excellent. I wish we had been able to stay in Jasper long enough to sample everything on Syrah's menu. BTW, service was great too!
The food was amazing, the most flavourful vegetarian options we've ever had, the drinks and service were equally as amazing. 100% worth the trip
Very average at best. Left very disappointed.
Amazing food and excellent service! Highly recommend if you love good food????
We make it mandatory to have dinner there when we get to spend some time in Jasper. Excellent cooking, the way it should be done. Don't expect being in and out in 30 min. Good food requires some care and time.
My personal favourite date spot. A bit pricey but absolutely worth it if you and your significant other are foodies. Definitely recommend the onion tart.
Delicious, hearty breakfast before the long drive back to Edmonton. Portion sizes were perfect and everything was so tasty. Great atmosphere (LOVED the oldies music, even if my friends were getting annoyed by my gushing over it). The waiter was super attentive (and a total cutie... I was fumbling my words like a junior high girl... oi vay!). Would definitely go back!
Really great food. On of the best dining experiences I have had in Jasper. The wild boar was amazing.
Some of the best food I've ever eaten! I had the vegetable pastiche, a mix of side dishes served as a main. The smoked gouda and spiced blackberry risotto was sublime, my other favorite being the roasted cauliflower. My husband loved his sockeye salmon catch of the day. The brownie dessert is actually cookie dough shaped into a brownie, as I chocolate lover I was disappointed at first, but after first taste that disappeared! Strongly recommend, vegetarian and carnivore friendly.
Absolutely amazing food, nothing could have been better!! We may have to drive from Calgary just to re visit :-) The service is top notch! Mouth watering food cooked perfectly, nice large portions mixed with extremely high quality food, which can be hard to find! Thanks Matt, you rock.
My family went here about a year ago, and all LOVED it. There were about 10 of us so it was rare to find a place everyone enjoyed, but this was it. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the food was delicious, and the environment was rustic and cozy. It truly feels local. I cant believe how many times we have been to Jasper and missed out on it. Would highly recommend! (you can also buy a round of drinks for the staff which is such a neat feature on the menu, we had to!)
What a beautiful little restaurant in the heart of Jasper. This was the best meal I have ever had - HANDS DOWN! Will 100% eat here again everytime we are in jasper. You have to check it out.
What a wonderful find! The service was wonderful, food amazing & atmosphere was very pleasant. If you are staying in jasper and looking for a great place for a nice dinner... this is it. Enjoy!
An all around great experience. The food was delicious and the waiter was very nice. Would come back to eat for sure. Highly recommend this place.
Can’t remember her name, but the server with the bun was super nice! Made us laugh and striked up conversation. Food was good, loved the soup of the day, turkey chowder. Right in the middle of town and had a nice atmosphere!
We are vegetarian and they had great options. Really delicious mushroom carpaccio and onion tart and vegetable curry. Lovely service and we wish them the best in their re-opening!
Service was Atrocious! the food is very disappointing and expensive. Same price you can can go to the Tekarra , their food is good and service is better than this restaurant ! Won’t coming back ????????
Great food and great service!
Prince Esther high. Food delicious
What an amazing experience.. amazing food and a fantastic service... 10/10 reccomend the steak and cheese board. Cheese board is on the desert menu which we just did as a starter haha we like to live dangerously. You can't control us.
Very friendly staff and cocktail knowledge. Also enjoyed eating beside the beautifully displayed artwork.
We had dinner last night the service was good but the food was very disappointing. It says it is a fixed price menu at $45 per person but most of the choices had add on fees. It costs about $160 for a dinner for 2 with a single glass of wine by one person. The real cost for the meal is not fully disclosed ahead of time. It is NOT $45 per person.
The service was great, the staff were very friendly and very attentive. For drinks we ordered the boar bacon caesar, edge of the world, and the rope ducker. The best part of the caesar was the candied boar bacon. I could eat a whole side of it! The edge of the world was my favourite, it was fruity and refreshing. We started off with the smoked bison poutine. The meat was so tender and flavourful. The portion is quite small, so if you're looking to share an appetizer, you may need to order more. Mains, we had the duck and the wild boar. Both were cooked well, not overcooked or dry. The seasoning and sauces definitely complimented the meat. The kids had the bacon mac and cheese. It was so delicious, I wanted to order it as a side.
Great food, excellent service
Was absolutely spoiled here the other night. Almost had the place to ourselves and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Delicious food too!
We chose this location for our fancy anniversary dinner, and I’m glad we did! They went out of their way to make our evening particularly special. Of all the places we went to that weekend, this was the clear overall favourite. It is definitely a fancy place, so expect to pay a fancy price! I haven’t been to many finer dining establishments, but I found these portion sizes to be plenty and fair, and the food & drink was top notch. While you’re at it, buy the staff a round (in fact, it’s a menu item!) - they all deserve it for providing you with quick service, quality food, and great conversation. Thank you for the memorable evening.
This is the best meal I've had in quite a while. I tend to seek out the best restaurants wherever I go and BOY did I choose correctly here. I ordered the bison tenderloin and my partner ordered the duck confit. We couldn't have asked for a better meal. Everything was flavorful and complex in just the right way, and all of the staff were welcoming and helpful. 10/10 would recommend!
Great food with excellent service. Came in once for dinner and breakfast. For dinner I got the onion tart as the starter, scallops for the main, and pear tart for dessert. The onion tart was great, a puff pastry with onion and blue cheese. The scallops were really good while nice and soft. The pear tart came with a scoop of ice cream and was a nice light dessert. For breakfast the next day I got "The Summit". Which was awesome and really filling. It came with 2 eggs, bacon slices, hash browns, and waffles. Both times the service was excellent and food arrived promptly.
Highly recommend! The elk is a very tender steak, and while the bison is on the chewy side (being normal for bison game meat) the gnocchi Syrahs of Jasper cook with it is phenomenal. Wish we had another night in Jasper to eat here again, it’s soooo goos
Amazing food and service! This is our second time visiting Syrah's and it doesn't disappoint. Great selection of gluten free options too.
Great service. Halibut is a must try. Love how they bring out a few bites in between courses as a surprise!
Randomly picked out a restaurant to go to and decided to try Syrahs. One of the best restaurant I have had here in jasper. Excellent customer service and food ???? Ingrid was amazing! She was super nice and attentive! Amazing service!
40 bucks for dinner, left hungry. Come here to impress a beautiful woman, but not if you are hungry. I could let it slide if the food was amazing, but it's just good.
Fantastic restaurant! Stopped by for dinner and had a fantastic meal. The service was phenomenal and Catherine did an amazing job with everything. The food was very flavorful and can't wait to come back for more.
This was one of our best dining experiences ever. The restaurant offers a 3 course menu at a fixed price, with a good selection of appies, mains, and desserts. You can "upgrade" any of these with the prices for the options listed on the menu. The service was very friendly, professional, and prompt. We were presented with a couple of antipasto morsels before anything else arrived, and sorbet between sappy and main. My wife's appt was one she'd never seen before - a mushroom carpaccio that was very good. Her Caesar was garnished with bison bacon. She had duck au vin for her main and I had elk tenderloin. Both of these were new dishes for us, and both were delicious. For dessert I had the chocolate blondie (delicioous) and my wife had ice cream drowned in liqueurs and candied walnuts. Perhaps the highlight of the evening was the 50 year old port we had with dessert. That was truly amazing and may have spoiled all other poets for us. Overall, Syrah's is very highly recommended.
Small restaurant with a great vibe. Seated right away even tho we were early for our reservation. We got the NYE menu with wine pairing. Venison and Elk plates were to die for, meats were seared to perfection and tender to the point were I could use a butter knife. Wine pairings were on point for the dishes. Loved the ambience. Can't wait to come back again. My only concern was the prawns that were overcooked. But all in all amazing.
Excellent chef complemented by a wonderful wine selection and first class service. Prices are rather on the high side. overall a sumptuous and satisfying dining experience. Five stars.
You have to eat here. We walked in early without a reservation and it was one of the best accidents we had on vacation. Trust the chef! I had Yak tenderloin and it was delicious! My 8 year old enjoyed the bison poutine.
One of the best meals I've ever had
Jesse is THE best server you can have ! Informative , professional and very nice . All three courses were very tasty. I highly recommend the caramelized onion tart for starter . Elk steak and bison steaks were prepared to the perfection .Goat cheese cake was exceptionally delicious . We came from Ontario and I did not expect to find such a FINE place to dine in Jasper . Highly recommend this restaurant and would love to come back on my next trip to Jasper !
So my coworker and I tried to go last night but they were full, so we made a reservation for today, and I'm so glad we did! It was the perfect way to end our shift in Jasper. It wasn't just dinner it was a whole experience! Everything that was brought out was amazing. I love when you can tell the Chef is a chef out of passion and it's not just something to do. To me, that's what this place is. We had three courses and everything was amazing in its own way. The service was awesome as well, very friendly, very prompt with everything (making sure drinks were good, clearing table, checking in to make sure we were ok). Even when we just tried to walk in yesterday they made the effort to try and get us in ❤️. Definitely returning, can't wait to see what will be on the menu next.
Ordered the muscles as an appetizer - they were delicious. I was with my Fiance, and we both ordered the Bison steaks chefs special. We both ordered medium rare, and they both came out wrong. Mine was rare, and his was blue. We let our waitress know, and she corrected it. When our plates returned, they has just re cooked the same steaks and put them back on the same plates. When I'm paying $47 a plate, this should not happen. This should never happen. Wouldn't recommend.
There is a reason this place is rated so high. Go Sunday for the great discount. Service and food were excellent.
Service
Probably the best food in the city. I came here for a romantic dinner with my partner and we were not disappointed. I would love to come back.
Amazing dinner and great service. Is truely the best restaurant in Jasper...
The food and service here was exceptional! Fine dining with a more casual feel, we absolutely loved our experience here.
good place to have luch , a but too busy
Fantastic food! The Mushroom Carpaccio was amazing and our main courses did not disappoint. Highly recommend!
The food here was pretty good, but it certainly wasn't the best value compared to other places in Jasper. There are other restaurants where we felt they had more unique and interesting dishes. We were also surprised to find they put water on our final bill as $4.95. They had offered options at the beginning of tap water, filtered water, and sparkling water, and we chose filtered water. But we were not told it would be an additional charge... It was just strange compared to every other dinner place we visited in Jasper that did not make things complicated and just gave us free water by default. To their credit though, they removed it from the bill when I mentioned I wish I had been told at the beginning. Not a terrible experience, just not great.
Fantastic service and wonderful selection of food. They made a wonderful celebratory night for us!!
Wonderful meal. The steak was amazing. It came a little rarer than I ordered but was great all the same. I trust the chef to know how to serve their beef. Everything on the menu looked great and I mainly ordered the steak to get the boar bacon Mac and cheese. It didn't disappoint. Be sure to visit at least once.
Came in here twice in the past week, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Both times, the food was absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. The food also arrived in a very timely manner For dinner, I had the Alaskan halibut on a bed of risotto, which was very tasty. As an appetizer to this meal, I had the Kulcha bread which was equally tasty. For breakfast, I had "The Summit", which includes 2 eggs, 3 types of bacon, hashbrown as well as 2 waffles with fruit and optional syrup on the side. A very hearty and generous breakfast that was delicious at the same time. Prior to having dinner however, we also received some complimentary appetizers which were, again, very tasty. I've mentioned this above, but I can't say enough good things about the service. Our waitress was very nice and ensured that our meals and stay were very enjoyable. I will definitely pass by here again when I'm in Jasper.
Hands down the best dining experience in all of Jasper. Stopped by when I noticed their 3-course menu, and it was definitely the best choice for a comfortable cozy dinner in Jasper. My girlfriend and I started with the Smoked Bison Ceasar Salad and the Mushroom Carpaccio respectively. The salad was great, but the Carpaccio is to die for. The flavours are perfect and well matched. To our surprise, a palette cleanser was served in the form of a peach ice. This was a delightful transition on its own, and definitely added to the experience. We then moved onto the main courses, with The Chef's Dinner and the Smoked Bison Ragout. The Chef's Dinner was a delight of various cheeses and meats, including boar, game and bison. The pickled vegetables were a delightful addition in balancing out the platter. The Ragout was equally delightful, well flavoured with the bison prepared perfectly. With the dessert, we got the apple tart and the double chocolate brownie. Both were delightful, and were great for sharing. Carol our server was a delight, and undoubtedly added to the wonderful experience during the time here. Hopefully you get her as your server as well one day. Come to this place last, because nothing else will be as good in Jasper.
My bf and I came here for a romantic dinner in Jasper and it did not disappoint! Our meals were absolutely incredible, our server Dylan had amazing suggestions and we took them all. We ate both specials offered for the evening and they exceeded our expectations which were already pretty high after eating our appetizer - Elk carpaccio. Dylan was very professional, informative and friendly. The wine he had suggested paired perfectly with our meals. 5 star food 5 star service. Would recommend to anyone who comes to Jasper.
food was fantastic .. !! ..stuff was friendly and attentive .i highly recommend to try this place out ????
Best food I've had. Wonderful service. Loved the taste testers given before the meal and when you arrive. I will always come back here when visiting jasper!
Very good. Owner was very nice. Had his family working. Food was excellent. Best home made ice cream ever!
Absolutely amazing food, we were helped out by Dylan who was super helpful when selecting dishes that fit our dietary restrictions. The only thing that was unfortunate was there wasn’t more!! (The portions were a good size) thanks guys!!
Menu was interesting, creations were perfectly seasoned, melt in your mouth delicious with just the right portions for a adult. Caramelized Onion Tart, Venison chops special and white chocolate goat cheesecake with blackberries for dessert. Wonderful meal - perfectly timed and efficient staff.
Came here on our first anniversary during a trip to Jasper, food was fantastic, you pay a pretty penny but you won’t leave hungry. Kara/Cara (blonde woman, had cat earrings) was our server and she was absolutely the sweetest I’ve had in a while and super helpful. Will be back on our next trip into town.
