Great quality food and cool atmosphere! This was our second visit and have really enjoyed the food both times. The cocktails off of their menu have also been really nice. The crowd gets a little louder after 9:30 or 10pm, but definitely not like a club, just people coming to sit down and have drinks. The pappardelle pasta was really tasty, as was the burger. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked really good and very fresh. The sticky toffee pudding was a bit different in terms of texture - more like cake - but was light and delicious. The sauce was awesome.

The Diplomat is the latest baby from the creators of The French and The Aberdeen. I totally love the vibe. The space is huge but doesn’t feel it. The food is fresh and creative. Do not miss the cauliflower and the deviled eggs are swoon worthy. I am super excited to drop by for the perfect brunch and get comfy on the couches.

A little too noisy for my liking, but that was partly due to a noisy bachelorette party in the adjoining room. The food was flavourful - more fusion than authentic. The portion sizes were pretty decent (not too small) for this type of restaurant, but no need for a take-home container either. Service was typical, but hard to hear the waitress with the mask on and with all the noise.
