This is the place to be on weekends! John treats his guests like gold, and gets to know everyone by name if they are a regular. By the way i didn't even mention the great bar service. Most of the guys have been there for many many years so they know how to serve you great drinks fast and with a smile. I highly recommend going to Pablo's or Doogie's. Pablo's is a little more quiet and good for beers and chicken wings. While Doogie's is a place to enjoy some of Guelph's finest local bands!

Doogie's & Pablo's is a surprisingly popular and unique hot spot downtown Guelph. Parking is difficult at best and the venue often feels overcrowded for its size, but overall this is one of the more fun night-life options Guelph has to offer. It took me quite a long time to order a single beverage from the bar, but the staff member who eventually served me was polite and efficient so I will cut this establishment some slack.

Rude security. Kicked my group of friends out after we just ordered a round of drinks. saying we sat at someone's table when it was completely empty. Very surprising they didn't even try to hear our side of the story.

The entire back end of the bar smelled like fish and wasn't clean. Extremely rude and unprofessional security. As I was walking out the security man stopped me by pushing me on my chest area. As a woman this was really frightening and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I will not be returning.

One of the only places in this part of the 519 where you can listen (go deaf) to a lot of alternative and modern Rock. Generally pretty packed later at night, but you can see the local thirst for live band played music. It gets wild in there as there is really no where else to go in Guelph for live bands. If you need a beer, you gotta fight your way to the bar, but if you're forceful, it's usually pretty quick. Typical packed pub. Pretty conventional place, beer on the floor, loud music, crazy loud girls and guys everywhere, no Ritz Carlton. You're there for Rock and beers. That's my review.

I am a peaceful female in her 30's who visited Doogies for the first time. I didn't realize you weren't allowed to walk through the door to go to the place next adjoined called Pablo's. When I strolled through the door, an older large, bald male security guard came up behind me quickly and grabbed most of my hair at the nape of my neck, pulling on my hair, forcing my head back. I was quite frightened. When I tried to explain to the manager what happened. He refused to give me his name with an I don't care attitude. I made a police report. Be very wary. There are many nice pubs in Guelph. And no need for violent places or mistreatment in places like Doogies.

Never going to this bar again. My friend was sexually harassed in the womens washroom. The security kicked her out because they didn’t want a fight in the bar but let him leave at his leisure. Security also started accusing me of putting hands on his colleague and were yelling in my face. This is unacceptable. Especially at a small bar where there is enough security staff to prevent this from happening, but security was no where to be seen all night except flirting with the girls by the door. Security are sweethearts and professionals at Royal Electric, NV, Trappers, Franks and McCabes and ensure their job is done well. Shame the same service isn’t reflected here. A police report will be filed, i will now be avoiding this bar at all costs and informing friends to do the same. No one should have to be further traumatized like that after being sexually harassed.

Favourite bar in Guelph. Pablo's has a bunch of pinball and classic arcade games. The drinks are cheap and the crowd is diverse; a pretty wide range of ages and the place is not inundated with university students all the time (your mileage may vary on weekends, however).

I went to the bar and the bouncer dropped my money so I went to pick it up and the owner came behind me and grabbed my waist and thrusted me and then yelled at my friend. He strait up said he was drunk and then continues to say that if the woman he harassed had more to drink she would be out of contol but he wasn't. Once we left, the owner threw money at us out the door and called us offensive names. He also made it clear that because he owned the bar that he could do what he wanted to. If you have the choice don't go there. The authorities were notified and stay away. They will harass you in any way they can.
