Have spent alot of time here in the past but have not been for some time. It used to be a really good pub, just a little old and run down.

Gave bartender 20$ to break for pool table, she gives me 1-$5 bill and 5- loonies, then turns away and serves other people while I'm trying to get her attention, Maby an honest mistake? I don't move the money from the counter so she can check video if she wants too. Then I give 40$ to server for 26$ bill (4 beer) and never see her again, I guess they expect 5-10$ everytime they have to serve you.

For Grande Prairie, you would be hard pressed to find another bar with this same rustic, old fashioned atmosphere coupled with their high standards of cleanliness. The music here is quite an attraction as well, many good local artists come play. Try their fries!

Usually have a good experience here except the service last night was atrocious. The simple concept of splitting a bill should not be an issue at the end of the night. One person at a table should not have had to pay the whole tab out of their pocket. And when the waitress was asked about it she refused to do anything. That is unbelievable.

Best Irish Pub in Grande Prairie with nooks and different areas to enjoy. Live music on a regular basis. Pool tables. Fireplace. Slot machines. Guinness and one of my favorite Big Rock Beers, Traditional, on tap. The owner is an amazingly giving individual, who helps many sports teams, local filmmakers and not-for-profits in the city, including the Reel Shorts Film Festival and the Bear Creek Folk Music Festival.

Weekly specials, above average food. Great service too. Live music and pool tables. VLTs if your into that. Would definitely recommend anyone to go there for any of the above. The outside of the building can appear daunting. The inside is classic pub, warm and inviting. Menu is not complex, but had something for everyone. Which I like, as opposed to pages and pages of choices. Compliments to the chef and staff for a well run business.

In 17 yrs I cannot say I ever had a bad meal at the crown. The breakfasts, fish/chips, burgers and the shepherds pie are top shelf. Steak night's awesome and the staff is great too.

Ahh Crown and Anchor....from around '98 till ' 01 it was my livers worst nightmare. The Acropolis crew would stumble in and we would try to shut 'er down but instead our livers would. Guinness and port... So much Lucky and other Beers consumed in one night, it put Oktoberfest to shame. Best times and a great staff back then. By far my favorite pub of all time. Thanks Crown. You deserve to wear the crown.

A great first experience at this place.. Was nacho night but the 8oz fish and chip sounded more my speed and it "did not disappoint " !! Beer was ice cold, wait/door staff super friendly and helpful, and live entertainment by Jason "Cheesy" was superb.. Crowd could have been a little more receptive I think but he did an amazing 1 man show.. Def be back especially with the kitchen open as late as it is! 5*+!

Crown and Anchor pub was the very first bar I'd ever been to, it's a small and quaint pub that has a lot of history to it. Has darts, pool, and does live karaoke music on Sundays. Overall friendly staff, made me feel very welcomed and had always been hospitable. Would recommend this pub to anyone who likes to relax with a couple drinks, definitely a cozy place.

Complete lack of service. My party was completely ignored for half an hour, had to actually go up to the bar to get service. When we actually got table service the quality of service was very poor. The waitress just ignored most of our requests for more drinks and walked away without saying a word.

So first time going out in gp while here for work. So we decided on this pub from browsing what Google showed. Service was great. We went on tuesday. Wings were cheap. The size great. They know how to soak their wings in flavour and they were at our table in minutes like 10 minutes. Pints were very will priced. 4.50$ wings are 7$ definitely recommending this place to new people hands down. Loved this place. Was very nice finding this gem our first time out.

Well they served me a beer and dinner then on my second beer the bartender came over and told me I assent allowed to wear my support 81 hoodie that had been on for the last hour .. he then went to tell me all bars in go are the same which is a complete lie as the only other place I was asked to lead was the casino ...... please avoid this place as it doesn't allow freedom of expression or clothing options..... apparently the bartender isn't aware the difference between a motorcycle club and a gang...

Used to love this place....4 hrs of sitting at the end of bar with 5$ tip a a drink and then all of a suddent for the rest of the night zero service from 12 till 2! They refused to serve me at that end of the bar because it was late. 5 bucks per drink tip and no service!
