Don't have negative starsel else I would have given it... We entered here paying, we had drinks for which we paid... At the end during the closing we found our jackets were taken and put in a locker by security and they asked for 5$ for each jacket this seems to be a way to get money from people

A group of friends and I bought tickets to go to the Halloween event called "Fright Fest" for all colleges a month in advanced. We drove three hours to get there, waited three hours in the line up, and did NOT get in. We were NOT the only ones who experienced this, as the rest of the line up which consisted of about 1000 people did not get in either. After consulting the emergency personal on scene, I was then informed that this club has a MAX capacity of 800 people, when they sold over 3000 tickets. This is not only unethical for a business but it is also legally fraud. Hopefully everyone will receive their money back or I do believe consequences will happen to this club. I would not recommend this place to anyone, EVER. :)

Fiction is usually very crowded and sweaty, you have to fight your way from one end of the dance floor to the other. The bar is all the way at the very back corner of the club, and it doesn't have a lot of room. The worst part is the type of guys that go there. Many of them will grope you and try to slide their hands up your skirt/down your pants, etc. I've seen them standing on the edge of the dance floor picking their next target before they slide in and start groping or grinding on her. You'd be better off going to a more upscale club.

I lost my winter jacket becuase it wasn't there when I went to counter with the token. They were not at all helpful to look into or search further for my jacket. The answer from them was "it is not there" , that's all.

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. I was treated as if I meant some harm when all I was trying to do was get in the dam club. They were so rude to me to the point my mood was completly destroyed and wasn't able to enjoy my time here. They must really hate their job or something because I have NEVER in my LIFE experienced such cold-hearted people. On top of this is that the dj is beyond bad...all he does is play spanish/latino music, even when people have requested him multiple times to play something else. He's so bad to the point where I saw someone put their phone in the air with the screen saying "stop playing spanish music" yet he still went on. The only good here is the bathroom.

I've been here 3 times and each one a terrible experience. Because they have a monopoly on the 18+ market they think they can act terribly towards their customers and charge whatever they want. This is the kind of place to hold an all ages event and kick you out for being 18, a total scam and money grab.

As a student, this used to be my favourite nightclub. The bouncer on duty Saturday night was refusing people entrance because apparently sneakers is against the dress code (which is weird b/c I've always gone in wearing sneakers, but if that's their dress code thats fine) What is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE is for the bouncer to be letting in white people with sneakers but refusing to let in POC in because they're wearing sneakers. I saw so many people and groups who were white and wearing sneakers get into the club, but the POC kept getting refused entry because of the "no sneakers allowed policy" Fiction, if this is in fact your policy (no sneakers) then how come the white people were let in when they were wearing sneakers??? It was clear that this bouncer was prejudiced at the least against people of colour for some reason. I'm absolutely saddened and appalled by this experience. I used to rave about fiction to everyone, and I feel so dumb for doing so now. To think my friend and I were ready to buy a bottle/booth and nobody took us seriously either. Not upset about the dress code, but I am extremely frustrated with how this rule only applied to certain individuals.

I haven't lived in Toronto for quite a few many years so I wasn't sure what to do. People at the Strathcona told me about a few places downtown. And I really liked this place. They played really amazing music and I danced the night away. The non-judgmental crowd that was so much fun to be with. I'll tell you the drinks I remember drinking we're fabulous :-)

After reading a few reviews, I'm actually surprised. My girls and I are in Toronto for Carnival weekend and its been one bad club after another before last night. We went to Fiction for Twerk madness and we had a blast! The line was long outside but the staff did a great job with keeping it moving. :) When we walked in, it was good vibes only from everyone. We stayed on the 2nd level which was packed with good reason. The Club was lit all night!!! The DJ played a mix of Hip hop, R&B and Reggae. #tumbsup. Would def go again and recommend this club to anyone that's looking to have a good time.

The staff was super rude, the mandatory coatcheck is a gimmick, a minimum of 1 hour gets consumed in coatcheck. They should rather ask for an 'entry$ +3$' instead of making a mandatory coatcheck. I would want to visit the place again to change my negative perception towards the place.

The bouncers were asking for 10 dollars just to skip the line. The honey bo bo looking front desk woman wanted my phone just to go in an use the atm because I did not have the 50 dollar cover for me and my girlfriend. Music is subpar for a Toronto night club. Nothing great here. Just go if you want to be treated like a piece of shir! And have no dignity.

Went for Halloween and my phone was stolen right out of my pocket.It was a mad house and people couldn’t breathe in there.The security people are definitely stuck up and rude especially the big brown woman with blonde hair. Crowd is almost the same every time and is worth going only if you are a latin group and book a table.Lot of people with short fuses in there.Ambience is better than lot of clubs this size though it smells like a wet dog and floors are slippery. Definitely no cheap drinks.Owner of momentos is a nice guy and the reason for patrons coming back and the extra star. ps-not sure if fiction and momentous has the same owner/management.

Happy my bank reversed the charges. Security guard # 031813 - all ages event - three guys had as of age passes - made assumption the forth guy (under age) was drinking Not wasting time here. Lack of training with the employees . Could of easily asked the bar tender then to ruin someone's night. This is probably the worst club in Toronto and I don't understand why. Location wise it's right in the middle of the entertainment district surrounded by other popular spots. The actual layout of the interior is decent (even with the maze of hallways leading to coat check and the bathrooms). Even drinks are decently priced for a Saturday night at a club at $7. And yet the place creates such a weird high school dance vibe it's definitely one to avoid. The guy to girl ratio was off even by normal straight club standards. Hardly anyone was dancing and you can't even say it's because it's a place to hook up because no one was doing any of that either. We ended up leading after midnight because we couldn't deal with it anymore. Do yourself a favour and go to another club in the area to get a better night out of it.

I had bought (2) tickets for the Saint Patrick's Day event at Fiction Nightclub for Friday Mar 17, 2017. We arrived early at 10:30 pm, with a huge line up into the club. We were told that the wait to get in would be 2 hours, BUT for $20 we could bypass the line; what was the purpose of buying these tickets at $10 each prior to the event to be charged an extra $20 to get in? Needless to say, we were unimpressed - what a scam!

This past Halloween party was way over crowded. The management should take care of the limit or capacity for people to enjoy their night out. Also, the girl that was at the entrance gave a pretty bad impression of the event w her bad attitude and her way to speak to the customers. I'm confused as to why you hire a photographer to be there on fridays but don't post the photos??? Also the DJ is extremely annoying and music sucks, I heard the same songs like 5 times. On top of that, the bouncer at the lineup was extremely rude, accused me of having a fake ID despite me being the oldest one of the group, providing a second piece and Visa, and still gave me trouble even after getting a second bouncers opinion who OK'd it. Clearly you need to review your staff training on how to identify a real ID since your bouncers can no longer distinguish between real and fake.

Went here years ago a couple of times but overall a bad experience. It’s a club for teenagers who can’t go to a real club since it’s 18+. Stay away if you’re 22+. First time the venue was over sold, with a terrible guy:girl ratio. LOTS of creepy dudes, stay away ladies. Second time it was dead with still a bad ratio. My friend and I bought a single drink then took off to a real place. If you’re a freshman at the nearby colleges, just go to a house party or another club. If you’re over 22, then definitely avoid this place at all costs.

I wish i could give this club a zero star rating. Went on halloween day to their event. They advertised on their website that tickets were $25 at the door in order to enter. When i got there the line was massive and completely unorganized. People who were arriving late were just jumping in the front of the line and the bouncers did nothing. Then the security guy with the mets jacket told everyone if they want to skip the line they have to give him 20 bucks. Already shady to begin with. After waiting almost an hour we got to the front and the lady (blonde lady in her 30s) in charge of collecting money told us it was $40 to enter. Completely upcharging people who they know were waiting for a while hoping theyd make extra money off them. I then talked to the bouncer saying i thought the cover was $25. He then told me let me see what i can do for you. The lady then shouted in my face pay me $40 or leave. This made me think that shes probably charging $40 and keeping the extra money herself. Suuuuuper shady business. I obviously didnt pay the $40 and left and wasted my halloween night. I would have gone somewhere else but unfortunately someone in our group was 18 so fiction was our only option. Stay away of this club if you are 19 and over. I have also seen bouncers accept money from under aged people in order to get in. If anything legal action should be taken against this horrible club. If management at fiction read this please pay your staff more money because its obvious that they dont make enough considering theyre trying to scam your customers at any chance they get to make a few extra bucks.

Would give zero stars if I could. This club is probably the worst club I have ever been to. My boyfriend, two friends and myself went on a Saturday for one of their halloween events. We bought bottle service and we were sitting down where the couches were. Two random girls started arguing and at the critical moment, my boyfriend stood up to refill my drink. One of the bouncers/security grabbed my boyfriend and told him to calm down.... My boyfriend was so confused, he didn't know what they were talking about. So he asked, "Why are you grabbing me? What did I do?" The bouncers thought he was being aggressive so three bouncers just grabbed my boyfriend, trampled him and one of the bouncers wrapped their arm by my boyfriends NECK and threw him out of the club FOR NO REASON. I stood up to ask what was wrong so I grabbed the bouncer by his shoulder and HE PUSHED ME ONTO THE COUCH and said "Don't touch me!". How could someone especially a man push a woman when all I was asking a question because they threw my boyfriend out for no reason.... Some random people came up to me to ask if I was okay but I obviously went after my boyfriend, balling my eyes out because it wasn't a pretty site for me to see.. He was livid. We were all so careful picking which club to go and celebrate Halloween and sadly we chose Fiction. We regret coming here because we ALWAYS hear that the Fiction bouncers are abusive, especially to the women. We thought they were over reacting, but sadly, they weren't. I understand that the bouncers are just doing their job to protect but they can't just jump to conclusions just because my boyfriend is a man and that was the first thing that the bouncers saw when two girls were fighting with each other...It's just really sad.. I have been to many clubs and this has never happened to both of us. The funny thing is, those girls stayed at the club and didn't even get kicked out. How we knew? After they threw my boyfriend out of the club, we had to call a cab to come and get us, and we saw those two girls laughing, taking pictures and talking with the bouncers. It's just pathetic. Next time, I should just stick and listen to the people's reviews, because they are definitely not lying.

This was the most pathetic club I have ever been to!! We (group of 8) planned to celebrate New Year’s Eve/night here, even bought advance tickets! We reached the venue at 10pm and had to stand in the que for 2 hours. We ended up welcoming 2019 in the que (also it was raining and ruined everything) Definitely do not recommend this place to anyone!

This place is crap. Worst thing I've ever seen. Completely no dress code. A lot of drunk people trying to start fight. Slow service from bartenders. Also some people vaping and smoking right on a dance floor. Music was horrible and at one moment it just stop playing. The hole club was at silence. OMG.

NOT a friendly place. Staff looked quite unhappy to be there, and walking into the place made me feel like a hardened criminal. I regret spending money on the cover. The place could REALLY use a better mood. At the end of the night some guy got kicked out violently by one of the large bouncers, even though he had remained polite and seemed to have done nothing wrong. They treat all their guests with disrespect. Way to kill the vibe! I wouldn't recommend buying tickets for an event held at this venue

We went to this place to celebrate my friend's birthday on Saturday and what an amazing time we had! Staff is super friendly and music is great. We really enjoyed our time there. Highly recommend!!

WORST CLUB EVER 0/10 STARS. Waited for an hour outside - lots of young kids - they over sell the venue & you can barley walk / dance - drinks are like $10 for a shot or $8 for a beer - music sucks & the washroom is disgusting. I hated the place.

Well for starters we came from out of town and decided to test it out. When you walk in it smells of B.O. Lots of sketchy creepy guys staring at you and try to put their hands down girls pants. One guy made out with my friends hair. Another guy asked my friend for her email... who asks for an email? Then to top it off some girl peed on my foot. ALSO one bounced was seen getting sucked on in inappropriate areas right outside the bathroom... you could see everything.

Cool spot, cool vibes & good music! Drinks are decently priced. Table service is recommended if you want your own private section. Went on a Friday and it was amazing! Highly recommend. Arrive early though if you don't want to wait in a line.

Spontaneously went to this place for an event, it was Awful. not one to complain normally, but the speaker system was terrible, and the people there were worse. This girl yelled at us for "stealing her phone" when we didn't even know who she was. the men were really aggressive... constantly grinding on you and wouldn't stop even if you asked them to, justa tanding there they would be grabbing you.... Happened about 5 times before we left. All these reviews are accurate to the culture of the place- aggressive, disrespectful, and terrible music.

Worst club I've ever been to. I bought VIP passes through a club crawl for NYE and was promised that I would not have to wait in line. The club made us wait in line in the freezing cold along with all of the other people who did not pay for the passes and when I asked the bouncer about it he was very sarcastic and rude. Once I got in the club I asked for the manager and the manager completely blew me off. He kicked me out without even trying to give me an explanation. He also had a very rude and sarcastic tone, never have I been treated so poorly by management in my life. Would NEVER go back. Also friends who went inside told me it was crowded, not fun, and they weren't given the free champagne toast that we were also promised.

DO NOT GO TO THEIR COLLEGE FROSH PARTY!!! We accidentally missed our pick up bus by waiting out at 9:40 for a bus that already came 10 minutes before that was said to be here at 9:45. Also ended up leaving early because it was so crowded and hot. When we first showed up the bouncer said it was a 2+ hour wait so I had to pay $20 to skip the line. This place just wants your money.

Bad Management: there were a lot of middle-aged men at a 18+ event. There were also prostitutes; I could tell they were prostitutes because of the monetary exchange followed by the sex. Bad Security: Bouncers were part of the majority of people who harassed the girls multiple times. They would try to kick out girls who had no shoes on the dancefloor because they were wearing heels. Overall one of the worst clubbing experiences in my life. I could say more about this but the only thing I recommend is to stay away from this place if you want a decent, safe experience.

The bouncers are rude and do not give any explanation of why they do not let in on Saturdays with whiteshoes. So does wearing white shoes mean not being well dressed? Many of the shoes people wear are more expensive than a bouncer can earn in one night, ridiculous explanations.

If there was an option to give zero stars, I would! Bought $20 tickets to go to a Weeknd themed event called "XO till we overdose", which was supposed to happen on February 19th, 2016. When my friends and I arrived at Fiction, and FINALLY got in after an hour of waiting (only because we decided to pay the bouncer an extra $10 each for line bypass), we discovered that there was nothing special about this "event" at all. The DJ just played top 40 hits - regular club music, with a few Weeknd songs thrown in here and there. In addition to this, they oversold the venue; you could barely walk around this club without being right up against someone else, let alone dance. What's worst is that a day later, I went on Instagram to find out that Fiction was advertising and selling $15 tickets for ANOTHER event which was supposed to happen on the same day (Feb 19th). THIS PLACE IS A SCAM, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! These people are criminals, and do not deserve a penny. There are many other clubs in Toronto that are worth it; Fiction is NOT one of them. I sincerely hope they shut this place down.
