It's close and convenient but the price ranges are down right infuriating some days! Easy to find everything, cleanly, and most staff are friendly. The only real low point is that their prices tend to be ridiculous for certain items.

I do my groceries routinely, once a week - every week. I recently moved to the town next to where I was and I can say I notice a difference!.. Firstly, they have a friend of mine, few years older, maybe late thirties, great guy, Don, working -stocking shelves and many menial tasks when he can practically manage the entire store. His sections are perfectly tended to, "thanks Donny!".(in all/pure honesty, I'm never biased in reviewing) -New Waterford Sobeys is smaller in comparison to its other locations in surrounding areas. -The selection is nice, variety is good but they can improve on brands, variety and such a tad more, in my opinion. Great place to shop and get all you need with friendly service and a great atmosphere (for a grocery store). I give 4/5 star rating.

Always seem to be low on things. Their produce quality is definitely better than Walmart but not great pricing (can't really ask for much around here as far as either one though, really). Frozen food section is VERY lacking - no fruit/veggie smoothie mixes. Willing to pay the extra few cents or dollars out of convenience, but it's not too convenient when I need to go to a location outside of town...

I dislike sobeys because I have type 1 diabetes and have to count carbs. They dont label any of their baked goods! Yes the Moms and Two bite or labeled, but anything by Sobeys has no label and if it does it has no numbers. Won't be shopping here for a while.

I would much rather Sobeys in Glace Bay since Covid19. Glace Bay has the same policy every time I go there. New Waterford you have to guess weather or not you are supposed to wait at the checkout or wait to be told what checkout to go to and for someone with severe social anxiety like myself this can be very bad. Also I find most things over priced from other grocery stores I shop at.

At Sobeys, everything you need is there. The management and staff are very helpful,friendly and eager to satisfy the customer. Above all, it provides a wonderful "meet and greet" atmosphere. I chose to shop locally and it meets all my needs. I gave 4/5 stars due to the ever increasing prices. Example: A salad, which I buy regularly, was 1/4 less in wt, yet priced as before. These policies/changes should be clearly marked. The pricing is not done locally. It is directed by the corporation. More people are shopping out of town. Seniors and low income families don't have that option. Perhaps Sobeys should reconsider their policies and profit margain.
