This is a great location in Sydney for theatre performances but also film screenings! My sister did a screening of her film, "In The Waves" here and it was a great success. Fair prices, concession stand, lots of seating and friendly staff. This used it for a church, it has undergone a great repurposing! This space has a lot of history and character. Great sound system, even when sitting upstairs.

A very intimate theatre with good sound. Everyone is close to The stage whether on the main floor or balcony. Excellent use for an old church. Hope to hear the pipe organ play. We were there for the first Cape Trad Concert.

A great old theater. Newer seats have been added which are comfortable but little leg room. The balcony gives pretty good view, however, its horse shoe shape means part of the stage isn't visible to you.

I was baptized here back in 1994 when it was still Saint Andrew's Church. Nonetheless, I am glad that the building still has life as a theatre. The acoustics in this place are great!

The HAT is my " Happy Place " This theatre , the shows I have seen there, the local talent who perform there, the artistic director , the volunteers , the atmosphere. All of the above have brought so much joy, happiness and laughter into my life. We need a place like the HAT here in Cape Breton which brings the Arts and culture to us daily. I love the HAT and all those involved there. I pray we always have this awesome theatre here forever ????????????????

Fabulous! It's local theater, with an international ensemble! We watched Tell Your Story, which offered a poignant look at the lives of the cast and reflected the lives of the audience with themes that were very pertinent to our current cultural shift. This is the first show I've seen at The HAT but it won't be the last!

I went to see yaga (they followed covit ristrictions) but my children they took me here for my bday. I wish i knew before hand this wasnt meant for children. Once the lights went down we left, a crowd followed us cuz allot of family ppl went to, so we went to a movie instead. But.. i am going to see this alone or with a friend (recommended).

Fabulous local venue with not a bad seat in the Just an fyi house. After seeing three different productions, I cannot say enough about the talent and energy of the casts and professional way shows are produced. This theater is a real asset to downtown Sydney and the Cape Breton area in general.

Great venue. Intimate enough that no one is far from the stage. I went for the Rawlins Cross concert and am now looking at theater packages. It's a beautiful old building which was originally a church gently repurposed into a theater.
