Unfortunately the Movie experience is becoming unbearable, wading threw commercial after commercial after commercial before the trailers then eventually the movie. Gone are the days of a disney short cartoon then the movie. I get enough commercials on Tv. Let alone to have to sit threw them at the movies. Was the movie good. When it finally started i enjoyed it. Please drastically reduce or remove the commercials your only thinking of profits and not the movie goers experience. Thankyou.

I'm thankful we even have a theatre in Cape Breton with how little we have here. It's kept very clean in the lobby but it's rare to see a spotless theatre floor since the next rush of people always come in soon after. I understand. Only recommendations are more tables by the doors, and if possible lower some costs.

Options are limited for a movie viewing experience, of course, but the wait times, overpriced beverages and food items, and the length of time before the movie actually begins is dreadful. The food can hit-or-miss, and depending on what theatre you're seated in, your personal experience and opinion will have vast differences to others. If you're looking for a movie night experience, Cineplex isn't a poor option, but don't raise expectations too high. Still, it's a decent establishment with friendly staff.

The only Cineplex on the island. It's a smaller cinema with 9-10 auditoriums. They play all the current releases along with special promotions and because of that...I can't complain.

Seating is limited. Mask is mandatory. Menu is limited - pretzel bites, ice cream and pizza are not available. Pre show has technical difficulties (no signal). Temperature is freezing. Wear a light jacket or a sweater/cardigan.

Love it but nowww...when you choose to spend money to see a show.. what if you want to go like 4 shows in a day as a general .. they only let you get 200 points.. cut you off.... and the 2500 point deal.. reg popcorn 2 reg pop. 2 general tickets .. are now 3500. . Thats insane... but i realllly hate now ... is only getting 200 even if you have more than 3 ppl.. but .. you only get 20 more points on 100 points on one general online ticket.. and thats not even alot... and internet can f up so easily ...and it very annoying .. like it should be 200 or closer to 200 .. not just 20 extra ... woohoo points... . And one kid is only 50 points... wth is that ... i dont even have kids .. but kids should be the same amount like general.. or alil more .. theres more kids in the world than adults so they get treated like chop liver . We all are though ... stop being so cheap .. we as costomers should be treated better than this.. .. i hardly go to the movies now cuz of this bull...

Just got back from a movie and supper, I attended the 4pm showing of Disney's Frozen-2 with my daughter's and it was wonderful. Paying for the ticket at the counter was nice but I personally find it can hinder you if all you're in line for are a set of tickets and not food. Therefore I gave this experience 4 of 5 stars. ..luckily they are very friendly and a gentleman at an open cash for gift cards helped with the purchase of just tickets in a timely manner, as it was 3:55pm, no wait in line this time. ???????????? ..I went out for food after getting seated in the theater. Great service and a wide variety of items to order from including pizza, pretzel bites, hotdogs, smoothies and much much more! All in all it was a pleasant trip to the movies!

While it is the only theatre in the CBRM, it does a decent job of being a part of national franchise. In my many years of being a film goer, I can think of a few hiccups I've experienced while watching a movie and it does tend to overlook smaller, independent films. However, staff work hard there and most of the time, I come away content with the overall experience.

Great theatre with ten screens, 6-7 are stadium seating. Good turn over of movies with lots of options for your night out. Good snack options; lots of popcorn combos and pretzels, nachos, candy and frozen yogurt. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Theatre is always clean - several kiosks to get your tickets or you can pick them up at the concessions stand.

I'm happy to have this theater here, but it makes no sense to not be able to eat food in the theater but there's a restaurant in the same parking lot packed every night. "Buy food for when you leave tho". $9 chocolate bar that I can only take home..? No dude, those luxury prices are for when I can eat in the theater. I'll hit Needs for a bigger bar at $3 a pop thanks.

Cineplex sydney is the only cinema theatre in 130 km of cape breton We have enough machines to take the tickets and the service is pretty good When it cones to the cost if snacks and food inside,its pretty high I wuldnt recommend it They have around 9 sceeens Very neat washrooms Most if the screens are pretty small but still they are ok If the film stops playing during showtime they give you 2 free tickets

I’m not one to complain but I do believe people need to know this... I went on a date with my fiancé about 3 months ago, me being as anxious and paranoid as I am and constantly looking around during the movie... well I didn’t expect to see a rat run around the floor and reported it and the worker told me they are already working on it, another time we watched bohemian rhapsody, I couldn’t tell my fiancé no because he was so excited about this movie, I took one for the team and decided to give it another shot. A rat ran down the stairs and this time multiple people seen it and screamed. I would’ve thought they’d fix the issue by now but I don’t think I’ll be going back until it’s fully under control.

From it's days as the Empire Theater I've been here too many times to count. Always friendly staff ready to serve. The small arcade is a good spot to kill time before a show although I wish they wouldn't switch the games out so much. Food is excellent. The addition of pizzas to the menu was a great choice.

Quite a nice place to see your favourite new movies or shows! Although prices can be high, think about their bills. To run multiple big screens at once. If you are sensitive to food, I don't suggest buying snacks.

I went to see lion king with my friends on 28th July in auditorium 2. Our show was at 9:45 pm. The movie started and we were wondering what's going on as the theatre lights were still on. By the time we realized it was 10:02 pm and we missed like 20 min. So I had to walk out of the auditorium to complain about the lights. They did turn them off but I was expecting a much better customer service/experience than this.

Consistently terrible experiences at this location. They don’t do anything to remedy people talking and being on their phones during movies. And if you’re stuck in theater 3, you can hear the loud lobby music over the movie you’re trying to watch. Locations like this are why movie theatres are dying. You’re better off going to the drive in or waiting until a movie goes to video.

Great people that have worked there a long time even when it was empire theaters before Cineplex took over. Hot pretzels are great I get the salt ones and the cinnamon ones. Popcorn is orville redenbacher and delicious. Boston Pizza is just outside which allows for a great spot to do dinner and a movie. ????

Movie suppose to started at 10:05 and it's 10:45 we are kept watching trailers of multi movies. Theaters smells hilarious and musty. Old small theater cold and dirty. We drove 110 km to watch a movie which disappointed us with 45 minutes trailers of movie with bad smells and cold. Had to leave. Last row which is worst. Gives you neck pain not fun!

Great experience. The staff were excellent. Unfortunately I had to witness them having to deal with a woman who refused to wear a mask, snuck into the theatre with her kids to a sold out theatre and then refused to keep distance from other paying patrons. She then caused a huge scene by yelling and refusing to leave all the while refusing to social distsnce...The staff all handled it extremely well but it's unfortunate they have to experience that sort of abuse from the public while working at a theatre. ????
