Attendees I really enjoy Mardi Gras, the crowd is at-least 95% younger people from Ottawa and surrounding area Colleges/University. Out of all the clubs I've attended, this one has the friendliest people and I've made a lot of acquaintances. This club is pretty rowdy compared to other Clubs I've been to, I attend pretty well every Friday night and I've already been pushed and shoved into walls from fights erupting inside and outside the club. It's becoming pretty annoying but what can you expect from a bunch of drunk 18 year old males. In my experience, people are much more friendly in Gatineau for whatever reason. I tend to stay away from Ottawa Clubs as much as I can. Service The bartenders rarely get your orders right, but I mean, alcohol is alcohol right? I'm not picky. Bouncers are VERY aggressive and don't put up with much. The club is pretty safe and I felt like if I had an issue it could be reported accordingly and would be taken care of. The people taking your tickets to get into the club were very friendly and fast. Atmosphere I really enjoy the indoor setting of Mardi Gras, it's always pretty clean and the decorations are really unique! During one of my nights attending I really enjoyed the flying confetti they had put into the crowd. Music So, every-time I've gone the music has been the EXACT same. You'll hear a lot of early 2000 music, 2013 tracks and too much rap for my tastes. *occasionally* some remixed today's top hits, but it's rare. One thing that seems to annoy a lot of go-ers (myself included) is the country music they play which boggles my mind as you're trying to appeal to a crowd of drunk teenagers. Over-all, I think if they switched up the music every once in a while It would be a lot better. *** CONCERNS *** Something that seriously needs more attention is the men driving around and waiting outside the club that are claiming to be Uber Drivers (and cannot connect to the service in Gatineau) trying to get drunk, vulnerable girls into their cars. This has happened for the past two weeks and is becoming very concerning as it only appears to be getting worse. Men drive around also claiming to be Taxi's but are very clearly not. If you're attending, I would STRONGLY suggest going with a friend or a group of people.

The bouncer didn't search me or my friend but gave my boyfriend an extremely hard time from the moment we arrived. He then proceeded to steal our property after only searching one of us and refused to return it even tho we didn't enter due to the horrible way we were treated.

Everything was fine until a grown 30 year old man started pushing my friend. I tried to defend her but he started pushing me so I got security to help and they told US to move away from him and he got drinks and hugs from the bartender. Extremely shocked that behaviour is permitted. Like COME on guys not cool at all.

Love this nightclub!! The music could sometimes use a little help but other than that it’s a great atmosphere/place. My friends and I absolutely LOVE the bartender named Emilie, she’s the best and is so fun and nice!! Would recommend

HORRIBLE PLACE. My friends and I came here and the bouncers started a problem with one of us. The three ganged up on him and assaulted him. I don't understand why it takes 3 guys to de-escalate a situation with one guy. My friend left with bruises. They seemed ready to fight as soon as we got there. This place is trash and management should do something about these bouncers. Not the first review complaining about them. Bouncers are there to keep things calm and safe, not to validate their egos and act tough. DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR STAFF.

This place is awesome, that owners, the waiters, waitresses are so nice. They’re so quick with orders. They get u exactly what u asked for quickly and properly. This place is the place to go in Gatineau.

I recently had a work lunch at the restaurant that operates during the day at this club. Maybe we should have known that a club venue wouldn't be a great place for food but it was awful all the same. The chicken that they serve on the Voodoo poutine is clearly microwaved as it was not heated all the way through and was cold and wet in the middle and frankly didn't even look like chicken. Someone at the table asked for the Cajun fries with their meal and when it came with the regular ones it took them forever to replace them. So long that we were leaving by the time they came. In a party of 10+ people only 2 actually enjoyed their food. The service was average but I don't understand how a restaurant can operate with such low standards for the food they serve.

Bad atmosphere, bad music, bunch of guys trying to literally get us to get in their cars (they said they were cabs..). Not alot of drink choices and it had a bunch of clearly ubderage kids wasted. I didn't enjoy my time and left after about an hour or two.

Bartenders will ask for a tip before even serving you a drink, the drinks aren't even good enough to warrant paying the full price for, the music will leave your ears ringing for hours afterwards and the club is crowded as all hell. They let in so many people that you will be pushed around for hours because there is no space for people to get by you, and no space to dance so you and especially your ass will be hit by other people's hands, arms and asses. If you like feeling ripped off and claustrophobic then this is the place for you

Horrible service took 1 and a half hours just to get a BOTTLE. They also gave themselves tips ($30) without asking us or giving us the option!! Our server also STOLE $10 from us so basically making it $40 she stole in total without even serving us nicely. Oh and heads up they cut up your real IDs :) what a great way to treat customers :) Should be closed down the workers have no respect for customers and get WAY too wasted, learn your tolerance!!

Compared to other clubs I have been to, I found Mardi Gras to be very disappointing. The music was rubbish and there were a few older men who looked out of place (I was deranged to see one staring at the breasts of young women). The $5 cover fee was not worth it, although I must admit the decoration inside (the giant masks) was pretty cool, hence why I didn't rate this place one star.

To any person who is thinking of going to this bar/club don't, I've personally gone and have been treated with no dignity, respect, or compassion from the bouncers and bartenders. But that isn't what compelled me to write this despite my expirences being beaten up by the bouncers, and having many bad experiences around this area on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. No, Im writing this because yeterday I lost a friend because of the rift raft, idiot, losers who hang around these areas. A friend of mine was stabbed to death. I don't advice anybody to go to Addiction, its unsafe, unclean, and crowded with idiots looking for fights, and even ready to stab a good guy for NOTHING. Yours truely, Junior.

My friends and I had a really bad experience with all the bouncers, they seemed aggressive and ready to start altercations for no reason when we were being respectful. It seemed like there was a bunch of rowdy guys hanging out with the bouncers and being rude to customers who didn’t even appear to work there. My friend also experienced harassment when trying to ask them a question; they said really derogatory things right in front of her in French thinking she wouldn’t understand them (she speaks French and understood all it). Overall bad experience, really hard to order drinks and just got treated badly by the staff

Someone stole my phone here, no employee was of any help. They dont have a lost and found either. Bouncers are rude and right before the club closes they physically push people out the doors. Always a super long wait to get in, or sometimes you dont even get in. Drinks are way over priced. Only good thing was the music!

we went there , they had a very racist and rood security grades, they asked us pay extra because we don’t have customs, we accepted , but a lot of people didn’t have custom and they didn’t extra pay, they asked us certificate we shows Canadian driver license they didn’t accept asked about passport we went home and brought it and they didn’t accept , and said us we don’t like you come in. My friends and I (18-19) got assaulted by 30 yr old men. I went to order a drink from the bar and got ice thrown at my face from guys standing in the corner, which caused me to wake up with a black eye. They constantly pulled my friends and I hair and threw ice repeatedly for a hour. Then their friend followed us all night even once we left the club and followed us to the pizza place. Bouncers wouldn’t do anything about it since these men were friends of the owners, they don’t care about your safety.

Well, it was all pretty good until I got to coat check and had to wait an hour for my coat because the incompetent young ladies at coat check repeatedly messed up the tickets and brought the wrong jackets. Throughout that hour I was treated with no respect. Their customer service was absolutely terrible, but other than the ladies at coat check it was a fun club.
