A beautifully situated restaurant on the St Lawrence River. Accessible by either boat or car, it has a nice menu for lunch. The truffle fries were delicious, as was the lobster roll.Great server, so friendly and efficient.

In late August, we had a very disappointing experience at the Ivy Restaurant during a family lunch ... table of eight. We found that the service was very slow, a 20-minute gap between the clearing of appetizer dishes and the arrival of main courses. We were shocked when the server delivered our main courses, and warned us that we had ten minutes to vacate the table. Of course, we did not order coffee or dessert, but there was no effort by the manager to try to accommodate us, essentially blaming us for their slow service. The Ivy is a nice venue. However, be prepared for subpar service and a surly attitude.

We have been here over a dozen times since 2 years. Location, marina, food, coffee are amazing! The staff at the restaurant are extremely pretentious and unprofessional. The only person that isn't rude and pleasant is Mariah. She should be training the rest of the "kids" on proper etiquette and screen the employees they hire.

The Staff here are so friendly and make us feel very welcomed. Everything on the restaurant's menu is excellent, our favorites are the short rib and the sticky toffee pudding. Very highly recommend!

Made a reservation for 13:00 Sunday and was told we need to wait an hour and a half and said it’s only for brunch. They do not take reservations on Sunday’s. At no point was this on their website to book a reservation for brunch only (as I double checked this later). They were not accommodating. When we were leaving A family also said they had a reservation and the staff said for brunch and the family said no for lunch. After I booked I thought it would be nice to take my partner when he returns for vacation from Iraq...forget it. Very disappointing!!!

I had the privilege of photographing a wedding at this venue back in the Fall. Everything went so smooth! The getting ready space was killer, the food was delicious, and the rustic interiors made for gorgeous romantic shots by candlelight. Would totally recommend!

Excellent outdoor patio overlooking the water, I recommend the Croque Monsieur with truffle fries (SO worth the upgrade!) and their Iced Almond Coffee cocktail (I might have gotten the names wrong for these items but they were so good!) Would definitely come back! Friendly staff and the place is accessible by motor boats.

Nice atmosphere and great experience during a Saturday brunch. The restaurant is not open regularly right now, but I hope they can keep those events going. It was a brunch buffet and every item was delicious. They also have Friday dinner with a table d'hôte prix fixe. I would recommend either event for special occasions.

I am very thankful for the wonderful gift of the Ivy Lea Club. The Ivy Lea Club is a marina that is on the beautiful Thousand Islands. There is a fine dining restaurant where you can go for both lunch and dinner, and sit on the porch or deck and watch the waves gently roll by as you eat. While dinner is usually delicious, the best part is dessert. And the desert that we go for on far to regular a basis for my waistline is the amazing ice cream! Tucked away in a building behind the main restaurant is the Coach House. It is there that you will experience one of the greatest ice cream eating experiences of your life. The ice cream comes from a local producer called Carp Custom Creamery. It is the most scrumptious frozen treat you can imagine. They usually have some favourites such as chocolate, vanilla and sorbets, but it’s the unique flavours that keep me coming back over and over again. Imagine sticky toffee pudding ice cream, or dulce de leche, or the greatest of the great, loaded butter tart ice cream with huge chunks of butter tart wrapped in a creamy vanilla base. Not only is the ice cream phenomenal, but they don’t use regular cones, they hand make warm waffle cones right there, and then the final element that brings everything over the top, is that at the bottom of each waffle cone, is a marshmallow to catch all the delectable melting ice cream. The ice cream is the reason for going, but it is the time spent with your loved ones at such a beautiful place with striking vistas all around you that make it memorable. The staff are extremely sweet, and our daughter was treated so kindly, that they always made sure to give her a few extra marshmallows, and more importantly, warm smiles. If you ever have to travel along the 401 between Canada Day and Labour Day, it is well worth your while to get onto the Thousand Islands Parkway and make a stop at the Ivy Lea Club.

Emailed for wedding inquiry to the event person, we didn't wait 48 hours for a response and instead waited 24 hours. But we thought we would call just to get quick answers so we could maybe come see the place. When we called the person told us to email Mariah and we said we did and she said okay just give her time to respond. Okay that's fine, there was no issue. However Mariah called back immediately and was rude. Saying she needs 48 hours to respond to the email. And we said sorry, and asked while she was on the phone if we could just get a few questions answered, to which she rudely said "I guess, what do you want to know". We realized we should have waited for her response however she lacks manners when dealing with customers. If you were right there since you called back so quickly then maybe you should have answered the phone in the first place or I don't know, maybe emailed back. I've never had to create a bad review but for people planning a wedding, which is a big event, I really cant stand when vendors are rude and walk over others. Hopefully other people do not have this happen to them because weddings are hard enough as it is.

Recently had my wedding here abd it was perfect! The food was incredible, good variety of drinks and the staff were extremely freindly, polite and made sure our day went perfect. The event coordinator Marjie was amazing! She was so accomidating, so helpful and made sure our soecial day was perfect. Couldnt be happier with everything about ivy kea fornour wedding and we want to thank the staff and especially Marjie for making our wedding day magical!!

Beautiful setting in midst of Thousand Islands, with extremely attractive buildings. Sunday brunch very average for the price. Omelette station as example is a jug of prepared egg and some unknown ingredients fried by young operator. No option of any other egg preparation. Other food options ok but very limited, few fruits offered, only bread option was a small croissant. This was not expected of a high level, relatively high priced venue.

Five stars for location and atmosphere. 4 or less for the rest. Need more tables for parties of 2. Most tables, in the best locations with the best view, were for parties of more than 2. Tables for 2 were limited, and though there were empty tables we weren't allowed to pick them as they were for seating for more than 2 people. Food could be improved. Veggie sandwich was kind of gross, lol... And served on a big hot dog bun. My friends hamburger was just ok. However the parmesan truffle fries were amazing m Need some healthy menu options.

July 2018 : Amazing brunch buffet - I highly recommend reserving a table! Delectable options range from breakfast favourites like sausage & bacon, fresh scrambled eggs or omelets, prime rib, mussels, ravioli, charcuterie, artichoke salad, pancakes, french toast, an large array of desserts plus more items I forgot to list off. We spent all morning lounging, eating slowly & savouring our food, drinking coffee & juices all while taking in the incredible waterfront views at this restaurant. Service was excellent, many seating choices from patio to inside - and there are huge glass windows to allow an incredible vista no matter where you are seated. I spotted a burger on the lunch menu, so it won't be long til I return!

We are very disappointed with the reservation service Despite the ratings about the meals being overpriced we wanted to try this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. We had reserved a nice table on the patio, on the water side, as promised by the person who took our reservation. However, when we arrived, we were given a table on the restaurant side. We would have appreciated more transparency from the hostess about this. Maybe this is not as important for everyone, but for us it makes a difference. We ended up cancelling our reservation.

On May 19th, my brother, his wife & my wife celebrated our anniversaries @ your wonderful restaurant. The food was excellent and plentiful. I would like to single out Alanna who was our waitress. She had a great personality, was very efficient and we were surprised when she told us this was her first night in this position. I would easily give her a 10. We will be Back! Thank you.

If I could give the Ivy Lea Club more than 5 stars I would! We have been recurring customers at the Ivy for more than 10 years. Last weekend, we have had the pleasure to get married at this stunning location. Our day was perfect and went seamlessly. Marije and her amazing staff took care of every single detail..., decorations, ceremony setup, waiting staff, friendly and courteous service, to making sure that every single guest is well taken care of from A to Z. The food is absolutely delicious. A very nice gastronomical experience. We had a four course meal and everything ran smoothly. Our guests were raving about the food, location, service and ambiance in the restaurant. We are so glad to have chosen this venue for our wedding, a dream of mine since I was a little girl. Unfortunately, due to Covid, we have had to change our wedding date 3 times. Marije was absolutely wonderful to deal with during these stressful and uncertain times. She was very reassuring to talk to and always had an open line of communication with us. I recommend the Ivy to anyone who is looking for an intimate supper for 2, to a private event. You will be well taken care of! Thanks again to Marije and everyone e who have made our day so special! Looking forward to our next visit!

Edit Summer 2021 - The menu has gone from EXTRAORDINARY to ordinary. Not a single vegetarian main, very disappointing. No more kofta, I don't know what happened (apparently new mgmt). So sad, I guess it was good while it lasted. Stellar chef and menu last summer. Can't imagine going back soon, I can get decent greek salad anywhere. 2020 review: Fabulous patio and food. The vegetarian 'kofta' is downright delicious. Beautiful view and gorgeous covered wood patio so no worries if it rains.

The views location, and atmosphere are beautiful! The service was very poor. I'm on crutches and no one helped open the door even though it sticks and is quite tough to open, took 20min just to come get our drink order, got those soon after, then were rushed to order or mains. We hardly got checked on the whole time. There we're no vegetarian mains at all. The food tasted good but was very simple for the price. Not a great experience compared to the first time going there a few years ago.

A private club. IMHO, far and away the nicest marina in Eastern Ontario. A beautiful setting, elegant bathroom/ shower / sauna facilities, a first class workout facility (massages available), a truly excellent haute-cuisine restaurant, a funky tuck shop, and genuinely pleasant staff. The club members are also friendly and helpful. What a great spot!

Very disappointing service, which was so slow that we were given a warning when our main was served that we had less than 10 minutes before the table needed to be turned over. It completely spoiled our experience, after many happy years of going to the Ivy. Marije, the manager, was shockingly unreceptive to us, blaming us repeatedly, saying we knew of the 90 minute limit. Essentially, we were made to fee responsible for their inability to deliver the service. Perhaps our server should have kindly informed us at the start that there would not be sufficient time for the kitchen to handle more than one course. We know these COVID times are different, and no doubt more stressful for restaurants to manage. It was a rare planned outing, particularly for our elderly parents. We would hope that there might be better communication as to what they could serve during the tight turnaround, and some compassion and would have gone a long way. The rudeness was jarring. Do they think that since they have the lovely screened venue, in such high demand, that treating customers with civility does not matter? We all left with indigestion from being so rushed. Of course, we did not dare order dessert or coffee! We had 3 generations together for a special end-of-summer meal that was spoiled.

I would 100% recommend dressing up. The food was average for the price you pay and everything was extra. Sat inside unfortunately due to limited seating and the lighting was quite dark. Bring your flashlight and your own dipping sauce.

We got married at the Ivy Lea almost a year ago. Our day was absolutely perfect and we can’t imagine it going any other way. Marije and her staff ensure every detail is taken care of. Everything ran smoothly and we were able to just enjoy our day and take everything in. Crazy overpriced for the mediocre food. It was decent, but clearly praying on the deprived locals and those trekking in from Kingston and Gan. The service was great, but the food needs some imagination and cohesion (where the imagination went wrong). Wonderful view of the 1000 islands and would probably go back given the selection of restaurants out there, but the chef needs to kick it up a notch!

I had booked an appointment with the Fitness Centre as a trial to check out the club. I arrived at 0845hrs as requested and no one was their to greet me. The one person, in the rather small club, had no idea either. When one is contemplating tossing down $1500 a year for a membership, one would expect and appreciate better customer service. A big boo from this guy.

We recently moved to the area and tried out the patio today with my family. Simply put, spectacular food, spectacular views and spectacular service. We had my father with us who is not as mobile as he used to be and the hostess and waitress were very accommodating. Our lunches and desserts were awesome and well worth it. We are looking forward to going for dinner soon. There is clearly a focused vision and passion for food and service.
