Nice small town casino, the outside area gets dodgey at dusk, best to keep your head down. Inside the staff is professional, the place is clean they have a nice poker room but the Houseman let's some players get too out of hand, should be more strict like other casinos.

I’m very unimpressed with the amount of people loitering and panhandling outside, there should be security so each time you enter or leave you’re not harassed. The inside was clean, Covid control is good and the social distancing protocols are followed. Table games are back running and there’s nice plexi glass dividers. Dealers are alright but pit boss was pretty rude to me and workers... Still, only casino in town and it’s fun if you set a limit.

My server Ashley was great. Very hospitable and friendly. Some of the dealers need to be watched as they forgot to pay bonuses a couple of times at the black jack table. Good thing we were paying attention. Atmosphere was good. The security at the front I think need some training on customer service and how to handle conflict on a more professional level. Besides that all was great.

The only Casino in town and the only one that there needs to be, every weekend there's live music for free always fun to go here and relax and spend some money hoping for a big win. The staff is great and the security has to work their butts off from stupid people in the parking lot but they do a great job and making it a warm and inviting place. They used to do comedy every Wednesday night and I really wish that would come back which rolls into their live music Thursday Friday Saturday nights

If you are in search of Bake Apple Trout then look no further than the Boom-Clown Casino! The liquor sandiwches are the best in Fort McMurray. Not a great experience... Went in to relax, first slot I put my money in had an error. I waited for 20 min with the service light and no one showed. I asked for help and was told to wait. 20 min of waiting I found someone else who finaly rebooted the machine..after 10 min the machine still had my money and hadn't rebooted. I asked them to just give me the $10 in the machine, they said i had to fill out a form and come back later. I just left. Probably ended up saving money in the long run.

To be clear, I've never stepped foot in the boomtown casino. Also, I'd probably be considered a bit of a prude by some. I've given 3 stars because it was a middle of the road score. I think if it was for me, I wouldn't enjoy going there much. In fact, parking offside of the casino, I saw a number of different people. Some of them were smoking, some looked a little lubricated... But they all looked like they were having fun. The one individual was dancing. Now, to be clear, he would not have had the cut on "dancing with the stars". But he was having fun. Would I have fun in the same setting? Nope. Would lots of other people have fun there. Yep. If you've read this far, you probably know enough whether the three star rating is actually a 1 star rating or 5 star rating for you.

Love Boomtown I win more often than not. Food and drinks are quite expensive there but the food in the little cafeteria is very good. Their chicken wings are among the best in Fort McMurray.

I really like this small town casino. It has everything you can ask for. Love the live music aspect some days of the week The biggest cons is the way they set up the bar...it has to change!!! They could sell way more alcohol if they set it up more lines around the bar.

This place is disgusting. It's no coincidence that the outside picture shows a police cruiser. The outside is littered with drunks, some passed out or begging for change. The inside isn't much better. Poorly run and terrible, indifferent service. Don't waste your time on this place.

They must be training new staff, sat at table for 20 min before anyone acknowledged me , after that service was great .. The food... hmm ordered the chicken parmesan.. see picture . Had ham on it( not a parmesan but a cordon bleu???) and served with corn tortilla chips???? And the veg was mainly cauliflower, not very visually appealing presentation . Who in their right mind would serve tortilla chips as a side , and the ones under the chicken were wet and soggy.. The only thing that saved this meal from being a complete disaster was the server, her great attitude and friendly disposition was a welcome treat. Will not return..
