So, let's start here. It was New Years Eve, but no excuse. My 3 friends and I got to Thirsty Buffalo about 1:30 am but sober. We walked in the door and tried to get a drink. My Boyfriend went to the bathroom and returned through the atrium section where a bouncer grabbed him from behind and told him it was time to go. He kept saying it over and over but with no reason. I walked up to him and asked very politely what was going on because we needed to get a ride home and he refused to even look me in the eye. He didn't look quite right himself, but in all fairness he probably had a bad night, but there were people in there who couldn't stand and we are almost 30 and straight sober. I told my other friends what happened and to cancel the drinks the bartender told us it was the owner who had kicked him out. He was definitely on something or hammered drunk himself and I'll NEVER go back to that establishment. I'm not a child and don't expect to be treated as one. Thanks for my 1st visit to your place Thirsty Buffalo, you just lost a neighborhood patron.

Everyone was 40 and over. They dont have a drink menu. Only a beer list. The music was a mix between folk and rock. Not for the youger crowd or even the young at heart. They do have liquor but they are not familiar with its placement. I got a hard cider. $5 for a glass which is a good price. And it was cold which was also good. The bartenders were nice and attentive. They seemed to have a lot of regulars because they knew a lot of ppls orders as soon as they came in. If you're a beer drinker, I say try them out. But if you're 30 and under, only go if you don't mind being the youngest ones there. There's also a sense of uncleanliness there so I probably would never order food. Trivia Tuesdays (7pm) is a great time to check it out for the first time. Also, dont worry about being cold. Unless you're directly under the ceiling fan, you won't feel the air....

I've been going here for pver 6 years. The staff is fun and hard working. The food is delicious and the price is right!! There is bar seating or high top tables. They have tvs that can been seen from every seat! Great local place!

First two times I was there the bartender and then waitress I had were phenomenal! Guy at the front door checking IDs, also delightful. Last time our guy never asked if we wanted refills or checked back in, also kind of insulted me by the way I was saying things. Very aloof and lethargic. Then the food came and it just okay and a bit pricey for the overall quality/quantity. I would recommend this place for when you're looking to get a table in a pinch with a bunch of friends who are feeling thirsty and need somewhere to watch the game

Small local pub with limited menu of burgers or quesadillas. We ordered a quesadilla and pizza rolls. The quesadilla was incredibly flavorful and I would highly recommend it!

What do you notice when you walk past this place? You notice the bar off to the side that is covered like a tent to protect people from the lake effect cold. This place is rather big inside and usually has a loud crowd to fill the space. It has a comfortable sports bar feel to it.

I am from Pennsylvania, whenever I do come upto Buffalo I only come here for wings. I am a fan of spicy food and they have the spicier wings I've ever had! Usually foods that are very spicy lack in flavor/taste, but it is not the case here, they're wings are spicy and delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered the BBQ burger medium and a side of onion rings. Took me an hour after sitting down to get my food. The burger was a dry flavorless puck , the onion rings were burnt and chewy.

A very versitile bar. Great as a neighborhood corner bar. Great for younger 20 somethigns on the weekends. Great for Trivia on Tuesdays and Sundays. Great for Sunday Brunch. Great food. I've never had a corner bar, but when I moved to the Elmwood village 2 years ago Thirsty (or TB as its become known as in my circle of friends) became my first. WE are greated with smiles and they are usually pouring our standard pitcher of PBR by the time we sit down. As we prepare to move to north buffalo, having a great bar with great people in such close proximity is going to be one of the biggest downfalls of moving. Thanks for a great couple of years!! Julie, Katie, Bobbi, Josh, Anne, Romie, Tim and even Jamie; thanks alot for being so awesome these past few years. -Matt & Meagan

I used to come here all the time for brunch and football games. I went in last Saturday to find two things. One, the brunch menu was seriously cut down and changed, omitting many of the good dishes (like French toast!), when the original menu only had about 8-10 items anyways. Second, I feel like the chef had changed. The food wasn't nearly at the par it was before. It was okay, but my sandwich was a little soggy and my fries very overcooked. Unfortunately, I probably won't be back.

My sister and I went here on 7/16/20. We were greeted by a blonde bartender who told us to turn around and go home. We then walked outside and saw a white male walk in without a problem. We asked the blonde bartender why she let him after denying us entry? She had no response. I guess this bar hires misogynist employee's. Do not go here.

Today was the first time I have ever been there. It was JAM packed because of the bills game. My one friend got shoved by another person and accidentally shoved a girl who works at the bar but wasn’t currently working at the time. We apologized 100 times (even though it was not our fault) and our friend got kicked out. After that, the girl that works at Thirsty kept trying to initiate a fight with us. Very unprofessional. I am very disappointed with how this was handled. This was was suppose to be a fun time to watch the bills game and the staff of Thirsty made it frustrating and kinda ruined it.

Covid knocked the beer taps in half, but still an amazing selection of local craft beers & regular beers. Food selection is typical of what you'd want from a Buffalo Hometown Pub. Beef on weck, wings, burgers & the occasional sahlen hot dogs on special. Specials daily/weekly for food. Excellent service, with attention to detail (you'll never go thirsty in Buffalo here). Plenty of tv's for all your sport needs. Watched the boltz best the Canadians here (I'm back and forth from Tampa to the area, go Boltz!). Not a bad place to meet up with friends, go on a date or play trivia Tuesdays at 7.

Thirsty Buffalo is the perfect name for this establishment as you'll die of thirst waiting for someone to take your drink order. Made a special trip to come in for Tuesday Trivia. Should have known it was going to be a disaster when I called to ask for directions & the person on the phone had no idea how to get there. Absolutely no direction on where to get forms if you wanted to play trivia. Wanted to get a table so we could get something to eat. Nobody tried to seat us. We got a table on our own. Sat down & waited for someone to take our order. Nobody ever did. We were there for 15 minutes & during that time not one single staff person tried to interact with us to take drink or food order so we walked out. The only reason Thirsty Buffalo gets one star is because Google won't let you post if you don't give any stars.

drinks and fries were excellent, sandwiches and (most) burgers were rather bland. they have outdoor seating though, which was nice. place was very clean. noise level inside is at the point where you'd have to raise your voice to be heard from two feet away. bartenders are a mixed bag. some are very good at dealing with people (both the drunk and sober types), and some just seem rather run down with the work, mainly on weekends when it's real busy. had a rather odd experience with the restrooms, though? there isn't anything single-stall or gender neutral, in which case i prefer to use the mens' for the the urinals. but one time, one of the bartenders seemed to become rather upset with me, pointing me off to the ladies' room and yelling "no!" when i tried to ask what was wrong. as expected, the ladies' restroom just had the regular stalls. perhaps they had a long day, but that experience was definitely was a first for me.
