Such a hidden gem of a place. Best wings by miles n miles, in fact, can't say I've had better in Toronto. I ordered 1lb and got another after the first bite. Recommendation: get sauce on the side (honey garlic n hot). Also got pan-fried Lemon Pepper Haddock on garden salad for the lady, she loved it. Definitely not your average bar food. Highly, highly recommend. Owners and staff are also very friendly. Trust this reviewer and try this place out !

Had some wings lady that served me was awesome very polite place was clean and wings were good. If in had to change anything I would say just to cook the wings a bit longer, but other then that I would come here again

Just finished a dinner of fish and chips that we ordered for takeout. Best fish and chips we’ve ever had and the portions were absolutely massive. Hot and fresh and was ready fast. Very happy and very full family of five and we will definitely be back!

1st time going here as we explore the area's restaurants post Covid. The waitress was friendly. Hubby had the wings & said they were ok. However, I opted for the pan fried lemon pepper haddock with Ceasar salad. The fish tasted...well...frozen & old. I did not send it back/complain, I don't like doing that as the restaurants are struggling getting back on their feet. Sadly, this is one restaurant will not revisit. Don't let the full parking lot fool you, it's for some sports event in the park behind the restaurant. Maybe the bar supports the event, but it's not the restaurant.

To start I have always been a big fan of the food and beer. We have always brought our friends and family to this restaurant. However over the course of approximately 8 months the food quality has gone way down. We always order the buffalo chicken pizza for ourselves. It's always been a hit with our friends as well. However over the last while the pizza has been extra crispy to the point of beening burnt and the taste of cardboard. We have given them the benefit of the doubt. But tonight was the last straw. We ordered our usual buffalo chicken pizza. I never inspected the pizza before leaving. When i arrived at home and opened the box to my disappointment half the pizza did not have cheese or any chicken on it. I called the restaurant and explained the situation. The server was extremely sorry for the mistake. Again we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Another pizza was made for us. I drove back to the restaurant to pick up my new pizza. And upon inspection I found my replacement pizza was in the same condition as the previous one. The server even pointed out there was no chicken on this pizza. The server was nice enough to return my money for the pizza. However I will not be returning or recommending this place anymore to friends or family.

Had a great time at the Plaice. They had a live band (Red Light District), and they were amazing. Played tons of sing along tunes. Service was excellent. Even though it busy they checked on us multiple times. Food was tasty but the mozzarella sticks were undercooked so the cheese was a little stiff but tasty non the less, sweet potato fries were perfect, and the burger was tasty but overcooked a bit. If the food was perfectly done it would have been 5 stars because the taste was excellent.

This was our first time visiting. We both had a Caesar salad and fish and chips. The salad was amazing, with REAL bacon. Who does that? Yes he fish and chips also amazing. Huge portions of fish and REAL fries, also a rarity these days. And our server, Myah, was perfect. So many servers seem to not really care about the customer until it’s time for their tip. Myah seemed genuinely interested in our experience, and she didn’t reach across the table serving or removing dishes. Lionel himself came to our table and greeted us, also something that doesn’t happen often. We will definitely be returning.

Started coming here on occasion ~ 4 years ago. Unfortunately the place (Plaice) has been a real disappointment my past 3 visits. Dry overcooked wings, poor quality burgers etc. Even the condiments for Burgers are served in takeout packets? In addition, the interior and exterior are in need of some serious maintenance. Told by locals the owners just don't care anymore? Oh well; there's 3 or 4 other Roadhouse places in town that deliver better value IMO.

Went for dinner,our order was taken very quickly as we are the only two in the restaurant.35 minutes later another waitress comes over and says that there is a situation in the kitchen and is why our food wasn't ready.Even though 3 take out orders were picked while we waited.She then brought a plate of overcooked fries and offered us free drinks.She didn't even tell us when our food would be ready so we got up,paid for our drinks & left.Will not be going back there.

New owners, updated atmosphere, new menu and same awesome staff. My hubby, kids and I went on a Friday, wings were just as great as I remember them, the Lemon pepper pan fried perch with mashed potatoes was to die for, my hubby could barely finish his Philly and my daughter's Julienne looked amazing. Table next to us had pizza and we will be trying that next for sure. It looked amazing. Prices were reasonable and for the amount we got, we have no complaints. My husband has been ordering take out lunch from there regularly. Great lunch specials and super reasonable

So, the locals love this place. But I didn't see what the big hoopla was. It seems like a nice friendly bar, but the food left us dissapointed. I ordered the wings, and the hot wings tasted like medium. Others in my group ordered the sandwiches and they weren't impressed. You wouldn't get this from talking to the locals. Maybe they were having a bad night?

We went for food and drinks. We each had one drink, and our glasses stood empty, with no offer of another from our waitress. Our food was awful. The Mac and cheese was a greasy, overcooked mess of mushy pasta. The chips for the buffalo chicken dip were stale and the dip itself was just a grease pit. The chicken quesadilla was filled with canned mushrooms, and the honey garlic wings had zero taste. When we complained, our waitress said she "would let him know" but nothing ever came of it and it was clear she didn't care.
