As a first timer, I was impressed! The venue is clean and comfortable. No frills, but nice enough. Outdoor patio is charming. Some things to consider: Parking is a challenge, maybe get an Uber?. There are a few protocols to follow as far as menu/ordering, but once that is figured it... sit back and relax. Food and drinks were great (panini, chocolate mousse cake, Moscato). The owner, servers, and musicians were ALL wonderful. I'm excited for the Flamenco Rumba show. I will certainly be back.

Nathan Johnson

Such a fun little venue. Good food and drinks too! Prices were very affordable.

A wonderful performance, listening, and art space owned by an amazing performer in her own right. Unlike most of the places in Allentown, this isn't a place to get drunk, loud, and rowdy. Wine and beer selections are limited, and food options are limited to sandwiches and cheese/antipasto plates...but what Pausa lacks in selection is made up for in quality of artistic performances and atmosphere, as well as the quality of both the food and drink. I mean: where else can you see the likes of Bobby Militello in live performance with table wine/food service for under $50 for a couple? Easily one of my favorite places!

Early Shows. Wine bar. Tiny Art house with intimate setting. Great shows, holds 100 people maybe. Inimate Jazz, Classical and such. Not a place like it. There are no bad shows at Pausa!

Suzanne Reade

PAUSA offers great music in a small, contemporary venue. You are up close and the audience is respectful, not talking during the performances. For a memorable evening out, go to PAUSA.

Phil Vecchione

Great venue. Cozy with good sound and amazing music.

Very high quality music! The owner is a violinist. Love of music is paramount. Friendly staff. Very small venue. Arrive early or sit in the front room if you don't mind not seeing the musicians.

This is the best place in Buffalo for an adult to go out for a pleasant and classy evening of entertainment. Many different bands play here, usually jazz or a fusion of jazz with other styles, but sometimes there is pure Tango, salsa, classical, or other music. Musicians range from students and local colleges getting their first break, up to very experienced and known people like Bobby Militello. Especially good are the Hot Club of Buffalo oh, and the Buffalo Tango Orchestra. Every aspect in this place is pleasant and beautiful. The rooms are modern decor in rich colors. Art on the walls rotates every month or two, so you can see what local artists are up to. There's a simple yet decent selection of wine and beers and tea. Food is simple yet tasty Mediterranean style appetizers and sandwiches. When the band takes a break, good music comes out of the speakers, and after the concert until midnight. It's a true mom and pop business, with Mom behind the bar. She's quite gracious and fun. I usually find parking on the side streets off of Wadsworth.

Great Place to listen and enjoy .

Wonderful little hideaway, great music, great selection of wine, beer and tapas.

Daviyion Johnson

Cool atmosphere, great live music offerings, and tasty, but simple food selections. Beers are a bit pricey (like $7 bucks for a Heniken). Beautiful art is often up throughout as well.

Absolutely amazing performance arts venue. Incredible vibe, premium charcuterie and tapas selections and my new favorite Malbec. Stay quiet during the show!

John Krytus

It's a little hoity toity—but I suppose it was meant to be that way. Don't go there for the food or drink. Go for the music—which is always amazing. It's up close and very personal with some great musicians who have always poured their hearts out. It's like having a performance in your living room with a bunch of your friends.

Morgan Loghry

Wonderful spot for local talent. Music, fine art and good food combined!

Maya Prabhakar

Great atmosphere! We went to see the live tango orchestra and we'll definitely be going back for jazz nights. Huge plus: the music is in a somewhat separate back room, but if you can't get a seat back there, there's a flat screen showing a wide angle view of the performance so you don't have to miss out!

Nice bar small entertaining room and we're unable to speak during any performance. So I stayed in the bar most of the night not to interrupt the band.

I went to my first concert just a short while go to see a Jazz saxophonist play, and was blown away by the space. First, the space is cozy and just the right size. It’s not to big or small- it’s intimate but enough room to fill up nicely. I personally don’t like seeing shows with just a small scattering of bodies among a lot of empty chairs. The size of this place ensures all the tables are filled, and everyone is excited to listen. You can sit with some wine, a cheese plate, and just enjoy the music. The small space allows the sound to bounce off the walls, and at times I felt a little old because I thought it was a touch too loud (I know, I know). The show was excellent, and the bar in the front room was nice and long, and there was ample room to hang out before the show. The rice for the tickets was also reasonable for the long 2 set show. I adore this space and can’t wait to com e back!

Shannon Gilmartin

Great music and quality beverages. The food looks great but both times we've come after already eating, just to listen to some Jazz

Was here for a jazz show and was impressed overall. The drink selection is adequate and the prices were very reasonable. I ordered a panini and it was very good. It's not necessarily a meal size, but it is a good size to eat or share while listening to the music.

Another wonderful Night. Moshe Shulman combo played Klesmer with a Clarinetist and Cello player from NYC. Nice draft beer selection and a good wine list glass or bottle.

Chris Kremer

Overall it's a very nice place. Just get there early if you want to sit in the back with the band. Limited seating. During the design of the space the restrooms should have been placed in the rear of the building. That would have opened the space for everyone to enjoy live performances.

Eric Hill

Fantastic jazz club. Small and personal.

My first visit to PAUSA art house was fantastic! The stars aligned for the perfect evening. The place was beautiful. The staff were friendly and attentive...good food and wine as well. Jane Bunnett and Maqueque were supreme. The vocals and individual instrumental performances made for beautiful live jazz from these Grammy nominees. Lazara the owner was very welcoming and a wonderful musician as well. I will become a regular!

Crystal Cheek

Cute, cozy, live music hide away venue. They serve, light fare, wine, champagne, IPA"s and pop. The staff was attentive to the patrons and cleaning up in between orders. They have super clean bathrooms. Oh, how can I forget? They have art on the walls. Check it out.

Rob C

Love it, reminds me of a small NYC jazz club!

Corey Michael

Happy this place exists, thank you to the owners for running this place. Expect curated and talented music choices accompanied with excellent good drink choices that are reasonably priced. No garbage, no well drinks, no ear bleeding. If you want a well drink special and tinnitus hop over to Nietzsches or the pink, Pausa has their target market locked ????❤

Carol Acker

Cozy, warm atmosphere, music, staff, all quite an enjoyable evening, a must to check it out!

Ray Nowicki

A perfect evening for adult couples who just want to share a bottle of wine and some mellow music

Very nice place. Staff is very friendly. Up close and personal with the music.

Great little club tucked around the corner from busy Allen St. Craft beer and wine along with tapas plates and unique sandwiches are offered. The real joy of PAUSA is the art and entertainment. Saw vocalist DeeAnn DeMeo Tompkins and her jazz band last night and it was just the best.

This is a nice cozy spot. Events don't usually start on time but you should get there early if you want a seat. Events are usually $7 upon entry. This is a great place if you are into Jazz or Blues. The entertainment is always nice and the staff is always friendly.

Antonia P

Some good performers play here. And if you're lucky enough to get a seat in the very small performance room, you may have a very enjoyable time. However, acts that attract a number of people mean that you may not have a seat there. I have on a number of occasions been forced to "listen" to the music from the bar room. There are many problems with this. You cannot actually hear the musicians well from this room. The last time I was there, I was surprised that there was not even a wire connecting the mics of the performers to the speakers in the bar room. The experience you will have in this very small space when it is crowded will be very poor. I've had some nice experiences there. But the problem is that the nice experiences only come when not many people show up. But good acts attract people. The kinds of acts this place provides are great. But a larger space is needed. I do not plan to go back and will discourage others from going.

Mark Abell

Disappointing offerings for a cafe.Neither carbonated water from a tap nor steamed milk and cocoa were available-bottled Perrier-ban the bottle!-and cheap Swiss Miss packets were the only items of those types available. Atmosphere did not feel welcoming, not even the two bartenders were friendly.
