Whether you like to dance to latin music or just hangout at the bar and enjoy it, Mojito House is a great place to have a taste of the most recent latin American music in the Niagara region. Weekdays is a regular bar and restaurant for delicious cuban meals. Wednesdays are free salsa lessons after 9pm and Friday's have live bands once in a while. If you like more of a hectic night out with friends, Saturday is the night for you. Show up before 10pm to avoid cover ($5) or show up a couple hours later and you will barely find a place to stand. The place is not that big. At its busiest nights you will be bumping into other people dancing. In the summertime they open their patio, giving the place a bit more room for those who just want to hangout and drink. Overall it's an awesome place with a variety of people from all sorts of ages where you can enjoy dancing to salsa, bachata, merengue, reggaeton and other music. Highly recommend it for those who want to learn a bit about the latino culture.

We went for a birthday party and we're very moved at the fact that the live band took time to sing Happy Birthday to the birthday girl. The lineup for the girls bathroom is still no different than any other club I've been to. I still wonder why the girls bathroom is always further than the men's LOL!

Great place to visit if you seek permanent hearing loss. When you can't order a 2nd drink, because you want to try what your friend ordered - but the music is too loud to hear them tell you the flavour of their Mojito. We visited last weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday. I would love to go back, because the music lead to dancing, and it was fun. But no one should have to endure ringing in their ears to have a good time.

The bar itself is really nice - loved the Spanish vibes (great variety of Latin music), great drinks, they had a nice patio and you can do indoor seating as well. What I did NOT like was seeing their employees wear their masks below the nose or take off their masks. We were wearing our masks inside the bar until we got our order and one employee told us we can take our masks off, and the employee even pulled down their mask. I would not go back now, maybe once the pandemic is over!

Obviously managers making decisions know little or nothing about restoration. We called and were never informed about having to buy a $200 bottle to begin with. Only after we had paid and occupied a table we knew of this policy, which was very embarrassing as we had to ask for our admission money back and walk away under the eyes of everyone. Our night was wasted. It is one of those macabre ideas I had never encountered before, not even in the most unique, luxurious places. It kind of reminded me of those senseless ideas i constantly came across in communist Cuba. What if we only like beer or cocktails? The server was very professional and caring though. Needless to say, we will never visit this place again, and we were 4, multiplied by the number of friends we have.

If you plan on having a good time with a large group of people, do NOT even consider bringing them here. At the time of booking our party of 25, we were promised a dinner, dance lesson, and live band. First, the tables weren't ready at our time of arrival. Then, the waitress proceeded to tell us that our lesson was at 8-9pm. By the time around 20 of our guests arrived and sat down, she tried to seat random walk-ins in our RESERVED SECTION. What's the point of the reservation if the management doesn't understand the concept behind it? During our wasteful time at this nightmare of a bar, we ate pathetic excuses of chicken wings, plantain chips from a box and costco chicken strips. By the time we paid, the waitress overcharged us for drinks. The only thing keeping this sh*thole afloat is the band. And the dance lesson did not even happen. USELESS.

7 is us went there for a bachelorette party because we wanted Spanish music, but out of the whole experience Spanish music is all we got. The food was not good and it took 1 hour, the waitress was so bad that we actually got into an argument with her. The manager apologized and gave us a round of shots which was nice, butt we were already in a bad mood because of the experience.

Came for the Cuban Party on May 27th with my wife and a couple of friends. What a disaster. Clearly something went desperately awry in the planning of this event, as they were completely unprepared to deal with the crowd -- which wasn't that big (between 60-75 people would be my guess). Apparently there was supposed to be a BBQ included in the ticket price, but no BBQ materialized. They were decent enough to refund the ticket price, but then the burden of feeding the crowd fell to one poor guy in the kitchen and two overwhelmed servers (one with her arm in a sling) trying to handle food and drinks for everyone. The result was slow drink orders and good luck getting a refill, and an hour-long wait for our food, which arrived one plate at a time with 5-10 minute gaps between them. Somehow the servers managed to stay cheerful through this menagerie, which is a testament to their professionalism. Once the music started, it was too loud for conversation at all, so if you weren't dancing you were just staring at your table-mates. What was supposed to be an enjoyable evening ended up being an exercise in holding onto your patience. In the end, we left early and probably won't be back.

Will not really call this place a “Latin” restaurant there is barely any “Latin” dish in the menu, management had accommodated the menu too much to North American food. Only been there once so far to catch the salsa lesson on Wednesday night at 9pm, it started about 9.30pm as they were waiting for a crowd. It was an awesome experience and I just love salsa dancing. Definitely looking forward to going back again. Con: You may sometimes have to practice dancing with another female since there's not enough Males attending the classes and so you learn to lead as the man. In some cases I guess this may be a 'pro' rather than a 'con'?

Went to Mojito house this Saturday. Everything was ok except for the 2 waitresses at the bar. I asked for some drinks for myself and the people I was with. The one bartender looked over at me with a look of ‘disgust’ as if judging every word that came out of my mouth. I just laughed it off as i was somewhat uncomfortable with the rude service behind the bar. I also left a tip and spent about $80 inside the 15 mins we stayed there. On top of that, we kept getting dirty looks from both the women behind the bar as if we were not welcome and as if they had nothing better to do. I thought they’d want to earn some money but clearly not with that attitude. I don’t usually post these kinds of things but feel the need to inform the owners and the public of this type of unacceptable behaviour towards ‘customers’.

Good music and fun staff. We went only for couple of drinks and dance and we had a great time. I can not provide any advice about food as the kitchen was closed by the time we went there. However, the lady at front desk recommend a place for us to dine closed by and it was good. After we eat we came back for a good music and fun.We will be back for more hopefully dinner too.

Tried to get into the establishment with three friends. All well of age to get in with their card regulations. Put our ID’s down as soon as we were asked for Them. The blonde woman at the door was unsatified with one of my friends ID and pulled out glasses and a flashlight asking for a piece of mail or a libarary card to back her name and age. The woman was using an incredibly rude tone of voice and waved a security guard over when we were calmly just standing there waiting to get in. My friend only had her Id and a debit card on her, as one would on a night out. Very disappointed as we’ve had good experiences with the establishment before hand. Felt incredibly disrespected by the woman at the door, and felt threatened by the security guard considering that we were four women just a nice time. Next time we will prepared with a passport and a birth certificate with hopes that, that would fussice.
