I went in afternoon with a friend. Used to go to see Lance there on weekends when it was Elmwood Lounge. Have a soft spot for it. Atmosphere is nice, old and comfortable. Loved the owner and the bartender. Funny banter between the two of 'em. Had my friend and I laughing in stitches the whole time. I hear the food is still good. Didn't eat there this time around but it was delicious. It's dimly lit as always. Only thing, don't expect the bathrooms to be in good shape. They never were (I say laughing)

Best dive bar in Buffalo. Mike, the owner, has got a great story and his place lives it. Went in by accident because of rain and brewery down the street not being open yet. Glad we did, best place we went to all weekend. I wish we could have stayed for the live music, hip hop and comedy show. Will go again when I'm in town.

Dirt cheap old dump, but I love it. Good open mic. Don't know how this place stays open, but it's a classic. Stop in for one and move along.

Not a bad bar definitely one that blends in with the other bars in the area because this is located in quite the happening part of town. This is located in the Elmwood Village where you can walk around and find all sorts of other places to eat and drink and shop and have a great time.

Place is musty, dusty and crusty and it really needs a complete revamp and rebrand. I mean come on. I feel gross sitting in there the place probably hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. God only knows what the kitchen looks like.. I am only giving 2 stars because I did have a pretty decent drink. However, not sure why people come here. The crowd is always a little odd.

I went here to hear the band Five to One last week. It was a fundraiser so it was very crowded and took some time to get food. The atmosphere is simple and the bar is comfortable. No frills! Decent menu!!

Noooooooo. I had never been here before and saw they had karaoke. Went out for my birthday with friends and family for karaoke and it was AWFUL. The host was creepy and keep hitting on me. We were the only women in there so all the old men, creepy men, and just the men kept hitting on us, offering us drugs, and would not leave us alone. I will never return here and not recommend it. The bar was disgusting, poorly lite, outdated, and I wouldn't order anything unless it was out of a bottle

Came here a few times, ordering a different drink each time. 3 out of 4 times, they were not able to make them because they simply did not have the liquor. How does any bar in a busy part of the city run out of the most popular and most common liquor, Vodka or Rum, that's used in MANY mixed drinks? I'd be just a tad more understanding if this place was a busy bar, but it's not usually really busy or crowded, which is one of the main reasons I thought I'd give this place a try. On my last visit I also ordered the Ravioli. When the food was served 30 mins later, I cut 1/2 a ravioli and consume that piece only the find out it was cold. Not room temperature, but very cold. I tried half of another piece, only the find it was still trade at that point I've just thawed out. I told the bartender and they took the food away, and recommended against remaking it. When I received the bill, I was still charged full price for the ravioli. I said something to the bartender. She came back to me stating that the owner was only willing to take 50% off the price of the ravioli unless I was willing to order another menu item. Of course I said no, as this was a slap in the face. Just because business might be tough, doesn't mean you have to take advantage of your customers.

Great spot for local stand-up/ open mic night. The audience is cool because they're respectful and don't heckle and don't laugh just to make you feel better when you're not doing well, it's a good way to learn. I've went up a couple times, I also like just watching. I'm not a 'regular' but I've been a few times

I call for a take away. It was hard for the woman who answers the phone to hear me. It must be busy I think to myself. I order a handcrafted burger and a panko fish fry. I was told 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. 32 minutes later I arrived at milkies. My order was already on the bar and the whole place smelled like burnt oil. Literally 1 customer in the place and he was getting free drinks. The owner gave me a small bag of pretzels I'm not sure why. I got the food home. it was a horror show. The handcrafted burger was a barley cooked frozen patty and the panko fish fry was a frozen-breaded, burned, mess and impossible to eat. The food must have been ready and sitting for a long time. Even thought I arrived well within the given timeframe. Don't eat here don't go there. And those pretzels expired November 2015 s

Be careful, not once but twice I went in there for a beer. Both times fresh from the ATM directly across the street I arrived with fresh $20s. Upon giving the bartender the only denomination in my wallet (as the ATM only dispenses $20s) I ordered a beer and received change for a $5, not a $20. I pointed out to the bartender that I only had $20s on me. Arguing that I only gave her a $5 I just let it go. If she needs $15 that bad whatever. Well it happened again tonight. Same bartender. Pointing it out to the owner only got me kicked out and being accused of being a con man. I just had to post. Be careful!

Idc what anyone else says. The KARAOKE was awesome, Mike has a book full of awesome songs. Chantal and her staff were polite and not pushy, and the tv to watch Thursday night football is perfectly placed. Five stars all the way. And you gotta come see Milkie's new singing sensation!
