Here we offer you all the information of real people like you who know the services of Lula Lounge (Night Club) in Etobicoke (Canada).
As of day this firm receives a score of 4.2 out of 5 and that rating is based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is really high, and it is based on a very large number of opinions, so we can say that the valuation is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place evaluations when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Night Club belongs to the category of Live music venue.
Good place to dance if you love salsa, live orchestra. Cover was $20 and a beer $8 I would prefer more kind of music instead of only salsa.
Nice place, nice music. Live band is good. Too crowded and I hate the fact that "Only cash" at the bar.
Fun time till morning.
Great service. Super sound system and big clean new washrooms.
Let me start by saying that Lula Lounge on Saturdays is an ambience like no other. The live band really delivers each and every time, no matter who is playing. The food, while expensive and small (in size) is very delicious and top quality. I had the calamari, jerk chicken & tres leches on a Saturday night (their 3-course prix fixe menu for around $60). The club/bar/restaurant is very clean, with modern amenities. Here are a few things you must know if you're going there (and I do realize some are out of their control). Parking: good luck. It's very difficult to find parking - let alone parking that's within walking distance. Space: if you're a dancer and like to have any kind of space when dancing, forget it. Latin dancing (salsa, bachata, cumbia), regardless of skill level, requires SOME space (this is not fist pumping or grinding after all). Yes you CAN make it work - but is it fun to be limited to the moves you can do, constantly have to worry about losing the tiny bit of space you perhaps managed to create for yourself and your partner...or better yet worry about getting hit or stepped on left, right and center? No. The above issues are somewhat minor, but here is my biggest gripe: attitude. This is a place where you're paying more than average for everything - parking, cover fee, coat check, drinks, food, yet you're getting below average customer service. If you don't have a table, servers will not at all be interested in attending to you. If you don't know the bouncer/owner, have fun waiting outside in the cold, rain & what have you. And I get it; I'm not opposed to preferential treatment for some frequent customers/VIPs, but at the cost of having other paying customers waiting in the cold? Not at all acceptable. There are other ways to pamper your VIPs without tainting someone else's experience. Finally, there is no need to be literally pushing people out the door the second the last song ends - especially people that have chosen your business to celebrate their birthdays/special events. Most people are eager to go home any ways by the time it's 2-3 am. The staff would do well to have a little bit more patience towards people that have probably spent over $1000 that particular night as a group. So all in all - if you know the bouncer, can find good parking, enjoy Latin dancing in a very confined environment, of course you'll have a great night, every time, but the same cannot be said for most other people I would think (just look at other reviews here). To me, Lula Lounge seems to try to do a lot of things (be a restaurant, a bar, a club) but I feel food aficionados will find it expensive as a restaurant, drinkers will find the service slow and the drinks pricey and dancers simply won't get their fix (the bands are amazing, but otherwise it's the same salsa, bachata, cumbia & reggaeton songs every Saturday night - it's very predictable: 'Promise' by Romeo Santos was played as the ending song two Saturdays in a row). The saying "jack of all trades, master of none" comes to mind.
Cozy place with live music for a decent salsa floor
Charged us an 18% tip and it was only 5 of us and the policy is written as the requirement when it is 6. Also the food is terrible!!!!!!! For 60$ I can get so much more in this city
Great spot for a night out . live music , good food , drinks & great service. Street parking and P parking . $$
Good lounge. Very busy on the weekends. They always have some good party night. If you like latino dance, this is ideal place for you. I was there for salsa night and was amazing. Most of the customers speak Spanish and Portuguese. They have live music. I never tried food (if is any) but drinks are cool. Very close to trendy Ossington strip.
Friday nights have a live salsa band performance accompanied by professional dancers flooding the dance floor! Bottle service is a tad overpriced but is complimented by friendly staff. Music is live salsa, latin, and international jazz.
Great live venue with good food. Great for local artists and lovers of world music.
Great place to enjoy excellent food and music and wonderful environment ????????
love to dance latino there, great bands all the time.
I came here on the recommendation of dancers and was quite disappointed at how many people just chose to stand and crowd on the dance floor with drinks and seemed to have no social dance floor ettiqutte. It was a Saturday and the live band was amazing no doubt. But if you came expecting to be able to salsa with someone you probably won't find the $20 cover worth it. It seems like average club rules apply here more than actual Latin dance floor. I'd say out of the crowd only two couples were actually dancing and people wouldn't even give them the space to do so near the stage. I won't be going back for dancing, maybe to hang out with friends who still wanna go and chat in the booths if there's no cover, just to watch the band. Here's to hoping they change up the dance floor policy.
We had a great time here! Free Salsa lessons and the music was fantastic. Highly recommend for a fun night out!
Salsa,Dance, live musica,if u like to have a real noche latina and dance maybe learn some salsa this is the place to be.
Fantastic experience all around. When you walk in, you feel like you've been whisked away from the city. The lounge is inviting, with seating arranged where you can enjoy the stage and the dancing. Having a jazz set through the meal - which was also delicious - was lovely. Then dancing lessons led by the most outgoing and fun-loving lady - who made it inclusive and easy to follow. After the lessons, a live band played and we continued to dance - then a DJ finished off the night. There were so many people from all different backgrounds and ages, and such an inclusive and warm vibe all around. Initially the price may seem high for the entire night, but it is well worth the experience and quality.
Great venue for small live events. Occupancy is approximately 250
Great place to go Latin dancing (Friday nights they usually have a live Salsa band playing.) The only thing is entrance fee is a bit too much ($15) for the space and the ammenities they offer
Good place to go if you like to dance
We were on presentation of new book. Cherie Dimaline "Empire of Wild ". There were many people. It was really interesting ! Service was good. All was clean. Thank for nice time!
What an unbelievable venue and experience. We had my daughters 21st birthday celebration in the VIP private balcony and it was perfect. Everyone was so easy to work with and the whole night exceeded all expectations. The Lula Lounge team were so helpful and accommodating with ideas and solutions to problems that the night went off without a hitch. The music and dancing were even better with live band from Montreal and dance lessons for our patrons that was so much fun. The food at the venue was a big winner for us especially the pizza, highly recommended. Overall we would book lula lounge again for our future parties and look forward to coming back soon.
Check the band before you go. Not much space to dance. Most people on the weekend are more clubbers than dancers. I go there for the live show, because I love to dance to live music.
AMAZING experience dining and dancing. Great music and dancing. Just a little crowded and a little expensive. But I will not forget this night!
The atmosphere is great. We went to see a friend perform. It was a great night with lots of dancing. You don't have to dance. But you will. The vibe will get you on your feet. We went for dinner. The food was satisfactory.
Here has many interesting events. Food and service are great!!
The free 1 hour class on Friday was fun. Then immediately after, all the pros came out on the dance floor! If you're looking for a place to salsa, this is it. The live band was good as well.
Awesome and extremely multicultural place. You don't have to be a great salsa dancer to enjoy the live music.
Amazing venue with live music. Play more reggaeton, pls!!
I was treated badly by the waiter, when the house filled He brought me the bill before I asked, and he kept pushing me off the table. I asked for the menu, but he just wanted me to give him my credit card. The house is great, but this case has to be checked. so as not to happen again with another person.
A great place to practice your salsa moves! A great performance from Bailoo-Bagaloo dance company every other month on a second Saturday.
Just amazing!! Threw a Bachlorette party, good was good, staff were great! But the music and dancing was epic!!
Disclaimer: I'm not a big fan of salsa but have an open mind so... I went there to celebrate my friends' gf bday and this was my experience. Firstly, good luck finding parking ! Secondly: Bring lots of money ! $20 cover with mandatory coat check (another $3). So let's do the math for a couple to go there...$40 cover and $6 coat check plus parking (paid lot across the street ) $16. So you're out $58 just to get in !!! Thirdly: If you're into wannabes and poseurs then THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU ! RIPOFF on all levels and while the music might be good in my humble opinion you can get a lot more bang for your buck elsewhere. Younger crowd but good for all ages. PS. After talking to a friend who has been there many times he says that it's an AWESOME place to meet women as tons of available . He says they're not all dancing professionals like in so many other salsa places so food for thought...
Gorgeous venue as a cute date spot or an exciting girls night out! When I went there were three bachelorette parties so this is certainly the stop for ladies! Their live music and complementary salsa lessons makes this lounge an impressive date spot and their food is spectacular! Everyone needs to try their De Leche dessert!
Beautiful space and great live music. Food is good but nothing exceptional. Fun place to go dancing.
Nice place. Good for latin y jazz concerts. Good place to go an dance during weekends. Food is ok but a little bit expensive.
One of the nice hookah lounges in Istanbul but service was absolutely horrible. They barley speak english, very rude and disrespectful at the same time. It took them 1 hour to bring my hookah after a long day without it. Asked to speak to the manager, he walks buy tells me one min and goes to talk to his friends, smokes a cigarette and starts dancing. Hes a tall skinny guy with a glasses and wears a black suit with a white shirt and some serious looking hair style. The hookah finally came and he never even came back to ask what was wrong or say sorry for the inconvenience. A table in front of us had three turkish people sitting on it which were very nosey and saw i was fustrated so decided to ask they waited what was going on, he stood with them started looking over doing hand gestures and talking freely for five min about us with dirty looks. Me personally i would never go back their again.
Great place for food, drinks and live music. It does get quite busy, to the point where it’s difficult to move around which is a bit uncomfortable but definitely a unique experience. Also it is quite overpriced but you get pretty decent portions.
The food is ok. Ordered roast chicken, too soft. Drinks cuba libre a big turn off on a latin night Friday. I never ordered after two drinks right before midnight. I did not taste any rum neither did my partner, stopped ordering so sad. Salsa music ok but not for over an hour boring. Waiteresses are fine.
AMAZING!!! I love the atmosphere, the bartenders and servers are amazing and so friendly. Best place to go dancing without feeling embarrassed, because everyone there is so open and accepting!!
Great place to enjoy Latin music and dance over the weekends. The sound system could use an upgrade and the drinks are slightly over priced. Other than that, it's a good place to have a great evening with friends. Can get pretty crowded!
Nice Sunday brunch combined with salsa music and dancing. Food is tasty.
First time ever at Lula last night ! I really liked the live band and the place ! But I have to admit that I found the energy level a little low, people seemed to be here to practice their salsa moves more than having fun ! They did not celebrate the group as much as they deserved it.
Lula Lounge is fabulous. I have been to Salsa Saturday twice recently, once with my husband for birthday dinner and dancing, and once with my girlfriends for a fun night out. I had an amazing time both times! Such fantastic music; dancing to their live bands is such a treat and so much fun. The staff at Lula are wonderful, always working hard to make sure everyone has a good time. I want to especially mention Sara and Melany in the coat check who were lovely and very helpful, and kept our stuff safe and secure so we could dance and not worry about anything! The wait staff and bartenders are also super, and their margaritas are my favourite in the city! My ONLY criticism is that the break between band sets feels very long, although the DJ certainly kept us all dancing during that time. I definitely recommend Lula Lounge for a great night out! :-)
I love the live bands that play here during the weekends. Great music and atmosphere.
Great experience, good food, mediocre live music/dancing. Tables are unstable and feel like they will fall over. Overall a great way to spend the a couple hours.
An establishment that can shine with a few improvements. Gotta provide better service. Staff were not very well trained. Service was slow and frustrating. Asked 3 different waitresses to clear the table. Took 30min to get that done. Poor selection of wines and corkage was refused even though the gentleman at the front door had told me that they do provide that service. Food was mediocre, their signature dish which was the short ribs came out cold. Best dish was the quac. Slight improvements here and there can really up this place. Wish I could buy this place and transform it. But, understanding the type of crowd this neighborhood attracts, maybe I was expecting too much. Best wishes.
Food was expensive and not good. They really try to act like they're fancier than they are as their chef does not match the price nor the rest of the establishment. The atmosphere was beautiful, really reminded me of Cuba and the bands were amazing.
One of the longest running salsa resto bars in Toronto with dancing every Friday and Saturday nights. Other amazing events are also held here on a regular basis from poetry nights, burlesque shows to live music competitions and showcases. The staff is friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. Great date night locale.
It was alright. We went to a mother's day event, it was nice but u felt like i over paid. Food wasn't worthwhile.
Started with dinner and drinks, the food was excellent, soup, vegan dish and desert were all amazing. The hollowed eggplant with vegetable stew was just perfect. The Salsa lesson was a lot of fun.
Awesome Experience. Its not just the food that is awesome, environment is awesome too. Had a great night celebrating friends bday. Learned few salsa steps and enjoyed the night. One drawback, very limited parking space. You might need to plan ahead of where to park your car as they are located on the main road. Just 5-8 parking spots exist.
This is my favourite place to go when I want to dance salsa. The life bands are worth the entrance fee. You pay according to the time you arrive. Beer is reasonably priced. The ambiance is great. Expect long line up's if you come late. They have an atm and a coat check. Music is great.
I was looking for a unique place to celebrate a birthday and stumbled upon Lula Lounge. Everyone who attended had an amazing time! It so happened that the day of the event was the day we were blasted with a huge winter storm....the staff was extremely patient and understanding with the number of phone calls confirming and re-conforming reservations and plans for the evening. We were a group of nine - and did not stop complimenting the atmosphere, entertainment and food. The atmosphere was not in any way pretentious, the entertainment was lively and full of musical emotion (the Jazz band, the 12 piece Cuban band - Black Market and DJ), and the food (from appetizer to dessert) was delicious. Our server was a delight all night long - very polite, attentive and timed the service perfectly! We never once felt rushed to finish your meal because they wanted to clear the table. Both bands and DJ were also phenomenal. There aren't many places you can visit for dinner, dancing and entertainment combined with great service and a good time. Lula's made a special night extraordinary.
I went here for Stages and the venue was biv, stage was great and they have a lot of room. But the menu is sooo limited! Like really, pretty much the only thing to eat that is proper are the wings.
Amazing vibes!!!! Good music!!! Lots of culture!!! Dance lessons!!!! All in all really fun!!!!
Great atmosphere, food, and events here all the time. I love the Love Letters Cabaret burlesque shows, they're awesome! ????????????????
Community oriented, open and inclusive. Highly recommend.
Music is great. I loved the live band playing - they were awesome.
Good food, elegant venue plus lots and lots of Salsa music. Dance lessons, DJ and live band. Want something different? This is the place.
Came with a party of 25. 2 of us wren't enjoying our food. We asked if there was another option for us. The manager treated us terribly! He has no idea of customer service and was most of all disrespectful. We will never visit there again.
Great music and vibe. Good dancers occassionally. Dj music could improve.
The prix fix is great. Appetizer, main, dessert were great. Drinks, atmosphere, live music and very nice servers attentive and very helpful. Definitely recommend. And definitely going back.
Always a nice place for Jazz, Latin Jazz and Afro-Cuban music.
Great place to take a date. 15 dollar cover includes lessons. And the open dance floor. Gets pretty packed. Very well worth it.
My review is solely on the food, it was terrible! I would never ever recommend someone to eat here. The menu was prix fixe menu and the options where horrible. For the price you pay you can eat really good elsewhere. There were 8 of us and not one person enjoyed their meal. I had the salmon and it was dry and the mashed potatoes didn’t even taste like potatoes, I have no idea what I even tried. The only good thing was the salsa for the guac and chips. Everything else was not meant to be eaten. It’s a great place for dancing salsa and listening to live music, but that’s as far as it goes. Not even the cocktails tasted decent. I would not come here again!
Man! if I could give this place 0 stars for last night I would! I have been going to Lula for four years now. I have never had a problem. But last night, it was the worst experience I had in my life! So, I went with four other people to have a bit of fun after being sick for an entire week. I got a bit tired and saw a small table with two chairs that have been empty for almost 40 minutes, I was hoping someone will come to clean it up, but when it didn't happen, I caved in and went to sit down to catch my breath. As soon as I sat down, literally not more than 2 minutes a waitress rushed to the table and asked me to leave, she claimed that the tables are reserved and that we cannot sit there anyways unless we order food. Let me tell you, don't ever eat at Lula, the food is awful, and that is something I learned the first time I went there. Anyways my husband told her that the table has been empty for a while and we would like to continue sitting there, she said no problem and left. Two seconds later, another waitress in black approached us, she was wearing glasses, and I think she was Latin American. She asked my husband to leave; he told her the same thing, then she was like, I will give you the last table (there were four tables all empty and full of leftover food and drinks. My husband said no, we would like to sit at this table because the one she offered was close to the door. I didn't want to sit close to the door because it was cold and I was sick. The waitress was not understanding and told my husband she didn't care and that if we don't leave she will call security. My husband asked to speak to the manager. The manager was a white lady; you can tell she didn't even want to look at us, I mean racism was oozing out of her eyes. Anyways my husband approached her in a friendly way and explained the situation again. The woman ran to security and told them that he swore at her! Can you believe this? i mean the woman is not only racist, she is also a liar. this is clear evidence that she doesn't even have the basic ABCs for management. People who lie are those who have nothing to offer. anyways, luckily we are very good friends with the bouncers and they knew she was lying. we ended up asking for our cover back and left the place. i am totally shocked and disappointed. from now on we will never ever go to Lula again and we will not spend a penny there. to add insult to injury, as we were putting on our jackets to leave, we saw the waitress with the glasses standing outside with some guy (looks like she finished her shift) and when she saw my husband she started talking to the guy and pointing at my husband, I don't know what bullsh*t is this, was she trying to intimidate us? it felt weird and creepy, and honestly if anything would have happened to my husband after we left that place, she and her man would have been the first ones on our suspect list. how stupid and low can you go? honestly? all this hostility for an effing table????
The good: Music is good The bad: Many aggressive people, loads of bachelorret parties who do not know the first thing about salsa. Staff can be unprofessional especially with the doorman, really rude and bad temper. The ugly: New Management does not place customer first and do not seem to care much about the depreciation in the quality of service, they are just relying on increasing their earnings and minimizing their effort to do a positive change.
It could be good, but the bouncers like exerting thier power. For money. Plan to be there early in the evening.
Incredible venue for live music. Spectacular food and service too
Great chill spot! Cover includes a salsa lesson. Great for dining if you don't mind the music. Ideal for a fun night of dancing to Latin dance beats. First date or date 1000????????, fun for all!
Awesome food, great drinks! Jerked Chicken and a staff that aims to please. Lawd the bar can make a drink. The music of Kollage and the great Diane Braithwaite. There is a word....perfection. If you don’t go here you have missed the very best of Toronto and shame on you!
Good place for shows, food is ok, I'll have to admit that staff was a bit rude.
Great live music! Food and drinks are ok but overpriced. The dance floor fills up very fast so you'll be bumping into people a lot.
Went for Salsa Brunch with my family. The food was buffet style which was decent, could have had some toast though. The instructor for the salsa lesson was wonderful, funny and easy to follow. Great for any age. Recommend.
The place is beautiful. Bartenders are super nice. They could have better options of wine. Food is good but overpriced. The host is rude, and gave us a terrible and unnecessary attitude. We almost left because of him, he kept coming poking us and insisting to put our jackets on coat check. The worst approach ever! It’s a shame since the musicians are the best!!!
Nice place food was good, dance lesson was fun just a little crowded
I was disappointed I paid for VIP but still they made me wait outside because their numbers were off. That bests the reason why I paid ahead. Caring for the pandemic spread is amazing but not being organized about it is key to encourage people to keep doing the right thing.
Very fun and lively place to be. I loved their weekdays program too as much as their weekend madness.
We went salsa dancing and it was really fun. However, I had wished that we had gone there for dinner since the food looked really good. I'm looking forward to going back there and having a meal.
Came here on a french school trip, had a blast dancing and singing and finally enjoyed a nicely prepared meal with dessert!
I have ordered some food but did not eat at all, due to my medical condition. When I was ready to leave, I have asked my food to be packed as a take out. What a huge disappointment it was, realizing at home that only a portion of the plate, I paid for was in the take-out container. What a shame. Great atmosphere but I will go back here anymore for being cheated on.
Great atmosphere and live jazz! Bar menu was delicious. Food was relatively mediocre. I would eat elsewhere before coming in for the music and a great cocktail (and several more).
Visited Lula Lounge for a birthday on a Friday evening. The service was excellent. Food was pretty good. The live band and DJ were great. Had a great time overall.
Fun place to dance Salsa, if you love to dance salsa all night then this is the place to go!
Cover charge is too expensive for this place the floor is awful to dance on. I don't understand why they're keeping people outside waiting in the cold for no reason when is not even busy inside, just to show ppl outside passing that its a busy place? and once you go inside they block your way to send you downstairs for coat /shoes check which there is no chair to sit on to change your shoes , but they charge you for every items you give them. people at the door instead of greeting you they're so rude, and the service is not greatest.
Great place to learn Latin dance and listen to live music
Took students for a French music day field trip! Great place!
Authentic latin food. Great atmosphere. Fantastic entertainment.
We went here for the album premier of the band Han Han. It's a nice place for new musical talents / potential future superstars. I would have loved to go to the Friday Cuban dance, but I guess the lines outside would be super long! The mojito I ordered was not the best.
Terribly disappointing if you want to dance! If you are hoping to get on a dance floor and test your salsa skills with different dancers, this is not the place to be. We went on a Saturday. The floor was packed shoulder to shoulder with 20-30' ish folks all standing around holding drinks and looking at their phones, and with a line out the door of people looking to do the same. The fixed price menu food was so-so, mediocre; drinks were okay; I would not call this place a salsa venue...
the best live Latin music in the city! a fantastic dinner menu, as well!
I always have had a great time dancing there! Awesome party-feeling
This is a great place to dance. Has been there twice. Sometimes there a live artist.nthis place is full of surprices. Cover is reasonable cost.
Amazing place to eat great food and dance! Dance lessons, DJ and live band makes the best combination. Love it! I will definitely go back soon. It’s far from my house 11/2 hour drive but so worth it. Cheers to everyone that works there. Salud! ????
I love this place, but i won't be able to enjoy it anymore, BYE CA
It's an amazing place, where salsa music put the flavor to the environment... If you wanna learn salsa and also have fun this place is recommended
My husband and I recently attended Lula Lounge for a Jazz Safari through Jazz FM and I just have to rave about this venue! We've been a few times and they never disappoint! Class act! The food and drinks are amazing! The ambiance to die for! And the service is second to none! Lovely staff! Best Time EVER!!!
Before the pandemic, my friends and I would visit Lulas for dinner and dancing. We visited now post pandemic and we were not impressed with the pre-set menu. The only available choices in the main dish were tacos, and not only the pre set menu lacked options it took one hour for our table of 6 to get tacos, I had to ask the waitres when we would be able to eat as she didn't even bothered checking in with us to keep us posted about the lond way. Let's not even discuss the salad we had as appetizer, I mean, I understand that prices have gone up post pandemic, but how much can salad cost? The only good thing about the night was the band, service was poor, and so was the food choices/portions. These are the tacos we received after an hour wait. ????????????
Good place only if you go for live music and dancing. Dinner was very disappointing. Appetizers were frozen or store bought, several items on the menu were not available and replaced by weird choices. Steak was overcooked and in general food was under seasoned. The kitchen seems to be run by an amateur not a chef. Definitely not worth the price.
Enjoyed my time and saw a great live band. A bit packed but the bouncer was such a genuine guy. Recommended for a fun outing.
Really nice place to be, dance And take your latin side for some fun!
Had a great dinner and dancing experience. With the new food vendor at the restaurant, the food was exceptional! The house fish with salad was fantastic and the consume was delicious. Live music salsa band playing Friday and Saturday makes for a great dinner, show and dancing experience. Great for dates too although loud music makes it difficult to talk much.
Really did not enjoy my time at Lula Lounge for several reasons: 1) $15 cover when you’re arriving at 8pm is steep 2) For coat check they charge per item 3) Not enough room to actually do much real salsa dancing even though the instructor was lovely. Unfortunately almost half of it was partner dancing which isn’t for everyone. 4) Had a super awkward incident at the bar where the bartender charged me $23 for a tall can cider and a virgin mojito (I figured I’d already paid entrance fee and too much for coat check so this is probably the right price . When we finally got a table (they were going to keep one reserved for 3 hours without anyone sitting at it????????♀️) I asked the waitress if she could check how much it was supposed to be (I saw on the menu that things weren’t adding up). She told me it was only $13 and instead of correcting it for me told me I should just go tell the bartender - which is frustrating not only because it’s on me which is awkward but it’s also loud and I would have to stand in line and try to explain it to the bartender). So I did and instead of apologizing he just asked if I was going to continue drinking cos I could just get another drink. I was just so uncomfortable at this point I just said whatever and got another drink. Overall they just handed it really poorly. The live music was really great but I think one time was enough for me.
This place always has fantastic music. Great stage, great events, large dance floor, friendly staff and awesome drinks. I hear the food is good too.
Took my wife to Lula for her BDay last Saturday and we had an awesome experience. Herman Olivera and the band were amazing. We had great seats, food was really good and our waiter was outstanding. Thanks Lula Lounge!
Good vibes and amazing atmosphere !! Amazing service and food above expectations !!! Great place if looking to have A LOT OF FUN !!! ???? Great staff all around !! ????????
The Neighbourhood around this venue feels family friendly. We parked for free in one of the residential streets just blocks from Lula's and the walk felt safe. The venue has a great atmosphere: kinda funky bar, night club, vibe with an artsy spin. Staff was very friendly and knew their fair. Bathrooms are clean and recently updated but are in the basement. There is one accessible washroom upstairs.
Pretty fun spot! Spent an evening here with a bunch of girlfriends and we had a great time, the food was delicious too.
Very friendly pub with nice Spanish music. You're gonna have a good time there!
Very nice atmosphere Vibrant and joyful Would visit again definitely
This was quite the experience! Hadn’t been to a Cuban setting like this until the other night when a friend recommended going. Lula Lounge was a fun, lively seen. Excellent performance and inspiring dance to go along with it. I think everyone should experience this, and learn to dance salsa.
I was there for a fundraising event and it was excellent. Great venue!
Decent Sunday brunch buffet with a fun and casual salsa class! There are a fair amount of vegetarian items and it seems like the Sunday brunch is attended by a few families.
Always love the live bands playing Latin Jazz and the crowd has gotten bigger than I can remember. The only thing is having to wait outside in the cold if you don't arrive before 10pm. Girls are also free before 8pm I believe or with dinner reservations/drop in ahead of time.
Live music. Lovely dancing experience. There's a free class at 9 for salsa.
Food was amazing, atmosphere cool, the salsa band incredible. I would have given it a perfect score had it not been for the cheap losers who instead of paying $3 for coat check for their girlfriends and themselves, decided to use our chairs and table as their personal coat racks. All to save $6, seriously.
Had a good time here but prices were a bit higher than usual for what was offered. Had some trouble with my reservation which apparently didn't include tables (for a concert). Good place overall
The absolute best venue for live world music and dancing!
Great place for live music, great service and amazing food and drinks
Great live music band, affordable good food and booze!
Had a blast here with friends on a Friday night! A nice place for those maybe feeling a bit old for the club scene but not old enough that you're stuck at home with the kids.
Great for groups or couples. Fun Salsa music for dancing and even a chance for some lessons before you start. Food is OK but it's the atmosphere you'll go there for
LOVE LOVE LOVE! I went with a friend for the dinner and salsa deal on groupon. Delightful service and BIG portions! Very veg friendly. The guacamole was amazing! The ambiance is very colourful, I will definitely go again and even have a future bday party there!
Feels like I'm back in Cuba again! Great music, wicked dancers and beautiful people!
Great music. Great atmosphere .just a nice place to enjoy great music.
Honest review: $20 entrance fee, way overpriced for what you get! Even if you say you want to eat and drink you still pay the entrance fee! This was new to me. Usually you only pay if you wanna dance and enjoy the music not when you wanna dine! Great music though! Overpriced drinks and food, like you get bunch of leafs with 4 shrimps on to for $17. Not worth it! If you are between 20-35 this ain't the place for you. You see older guys looking in the crowed so not too pleasant for a girls night out.
I am giving this venue a 4 and a bit. If it was based on the concept it would be 5/5. I have been here for various occasions and events. The entertainment is usually great. The crowd usually has a positive vibe. The food is okay. It is really not "great". It is just okay. If you go there expecting the food to be amazing considering the cost, you are going to be disappointed. The menu lacks a certain level of innovation. I would however still return and recommend this venue for get togethers and parties just because what it lacks in the food "wow" factor it makes up for in terms of entertainment. This a really cool place with interesting music centre events throughout the week. If you find the Friday or Saturday night events too packed and hectic. This is the perfect place to have some mid week or Sunday brunch fun.
Lula Lounge should be awesome but I am consistently disappointed with the service. Last time I was here they seemed to forget about us completely at the end of the evening and didn't show up until we had our coats on standing beside the table. This time, one of the meals was missing an ingredient. Neighbouring table ordered the same meal, same ingredient missing. Not a huge deal but an attention to detail that seems to just be lacking. I'll still go again but it's the performers on stage who save this place for me.
This venue is beautiful! The staff were incredibly friendly. It was packed with people, which was excellent for dancing. Next time I want to try the food.
Paid for a Valentine's dinner and dance, and they are making us wait out in the cold, like we are waiting to get in for free, at some club. Tickets were way pricey for that, better get this organized. And it's been 21 minutes into the three hours that we paid for! Never again!
The food was delicious, although appetizers were a bit small, service was good. We were there for the Cocksure Circus, DVD release party for the Cocksure Lads movie by Murray Foster. Good entertainment by Murray, Mike Ford, the Stilt Lady, the Fortune Teller and Rob the Illusionist in a fun and funky venue.
The food is amazing, the live music hard to hear saturday night, lots a people and kind of noisy. Unfortunately our server (Alam?) had an attitude problem which downgraded the whole experience.
The best ever..im a dancer a musician Lula is the only place i got for lating dancing Friday and Sutrady and warm u will remember...
Live music is very good, not a big fan of the DJ, he plays too much bachata, when he mixes the changes of music are not very nice, Friday with abanico academy party the music and dj were amazing, would be nice to be like that every week, normally enough space to dance, doesn't matter you don't know how to dance, there is always someone you can dance with if you want
Amazing energy, great location. Good bands and artist.
While the service was friendly and dance lesson entertaining much of the rest of the night left much to be desired. The food was over cooked, over seasoned, and over priced for what you got. The band was awful. Off beat and out of tune. Just impossible to dance to. They let far too many people in, changing the vibe from a salsa lounge to more of a dance club. And the washrooms were uncomfortable and dirty. Frankly if I wanted spend too much money to get bumped around and listen to bad music I'd go to any other club downtown and probably wouldnt be out $200 by the end of the night. This place promised to be different from the rest but just didn't deliver.
Saturday class with Angela was amazing! Her energy, sense of humour and magnificent smile were delightful! The live band played really great music making sure the dance floor was always packed!
Awesome live music - great atmosphere - nice crowed
One of the best places in Toronto. Check it out! ;)
Great band! -- Otherwise the dancefloor is way too crowded and people are savagely knocking into people all night. Experienced dancers might be ok but I wouldn't recommend it for new dancers, you'll be stepped on constantly and have no space to practice any real moves... The complete live salsa band is worth checking out though.
Great place to go for good food & music ???? but my only thing is we were put in a room excluded from the announcement Update the feedback * Good to know, come early to get the best seats in the house. See you soon ????
Excellent food and atmosphere.... we literally ordered the who menu
Live band! Nice dance floor, always crowded.
The atmosphere is really great. Awesome live bands and good djs. However, don’t waste your money with the fixed 3 course meal it’s not worth it, the food isn’t that great. Some apps are ok but that’s about it. They do make a mean sangria so essentially drinks are better than the food for sure. Friendly staff and bathroom were always clean. Street parking nearby.
Always the best music. Food is ok
Never a dull moment at Lula! Come for the drinks, stay for the dance. Inside or outside, it’s always good vibes here.
We had a fantastic time at Lula for our company holiday party of 23. Olga helped me book the tables, get the menus and was always available for questions. The emails she sent had every bit of information you could need (parking, entertainment schedule, menu). The venue itself had a great relaxed vibe and the live band was incredible. The food was delicious and no one left hungry (great reviews for the jerk chicken and Torta de Tres Leche sponge cake). I don't remember any of their names but the wait staff were also very friendly and helpful and managed our large group without any issue. Thank you Lula and Olga for making our holiday party a great night. We will definitely be seeing you again!
Great place if you like Cuban music and tones of positive
Great atmosphere, not your typical night club, Tropical/Hispanic theme. Mature crowd and decent food/drinks, great service.
Great venue for shows!
Great dancing venue. Not recommended for those who don't like crowded places. Price is a bit high so we didn't order. Drinks were average price. Overall, if you like to dance, go! They had lessons before the dance floor was open for freestyle to salsa music. Highly recommended for those who love to explore their Hispanic side.
Went here for a school trip. Learned some things and enjoyed a good meal
Like the experience. The food and venue was just OK but the experience was fun!!
Loved the band but the food could have been better
Great place to listen to some of the best the international music scene has to offer. A must for any day of the week.
We visited today for brunch with our kids. Great experience! Brunch is served buffet style. Once you are settled, there is salsa classes with a live band. Fruit and pastries open while you dance. Very kid friendly space! Not pretencious and very relaxed. Brunch for the whole family with plenty of seating. It's recommended to make a reservation. Adults $18 kids $12 IT WAS REALLY FUN!
Came here to see the Patsy Cline Birthday show. (It was awesome! Great singers doing wonderful cover of Patsy Cline songs) Besides that great experience this place has a nice cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent and prompt. The food off the menu was very tasty. Missed out on trying their jerk chicken (next time for sure). Ordered the flourless cake for dessert, very nice, but was a little disappointed that it was so small :( All in all great place to view concerts and have a wonderful dinner.
If no stars was an option that is what this place would get . We came here to celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday and from the time we walked in it was chaos . 1) We were seated in the area closes to the entersnce so we could barely hear what was happening on stage . 2) were forced to order the full meal option which included app- entree - desert . When I only wanted an entree . 3) our waiter said no to everything so every two seconds we had to call over the manager which was nice by the way . 4) we ordered at 8:00 and got our food around 9:00 ( 1hour wait) and it wasn't that busy when we ordered . People around us who got there after us got food before us . 5) when it came down to payment we all had to negotiate our bills because the service and he good we're so horrible . I love to tip but that waiter needs some training in customer service . Im so displease with this service I'm currently in the reautuant typing this out and I BARELY or NEVER write bad reviews . I wouldn't suggest this place at all .
I felt that they didn't really try to accommodate us and left us to stand the entire time by the bar. So my experience was not nice, but it seemed like a nice place.
Amazing experience! Loved the vibes! Try and arrive early for that salsa lesson so you can dance along with the live performance! ????????????
Lively - a touch loud, ear buds/protection are a good idea
Love this place. The dinner and dance special is well worth it. The food is delicious and portions are big but leave room to dance !
Amazing place. Super friendly staff. Great for dance and good moments. I will come back any time.
Great music and ambiance! Drinks were so-so, just strange that they only accept debit/credit until 11 PM. Also, cover’s pretty steep at $20.
Live latin band. Good vibes...ok food and drink.
Very nice place to go dancing. Especially if you love Latin dancing. Salsa ......
I like this place. Great event spot that's always very lively. Excellent food and service.
Me and gf went for a friends bd party. What differentiates a student club from a senior one is the way customers are treated. Bad and rude attendance from beginning of night, coat check, bar and exit.
The food was great and the night was so much fun!
Amazing place for food and drinks and of course dance with live Latin bands. Great atmosphere with very friendly service, as I walked in the bouncer at the door greeted me with a handshake and welcomed us, small things like this make such a big difference. Recommend this place wether your good at dancing or not, you'll have a great time
Great bands... Good food... Fun crowd! And the intro salsa classes are always a great time!!
Over priced over cooked, gummy, tasteless steak. Just go there for fun and dance. Food and dessert is not good at all, specially for the price you pay.
We just saw a great band The Heavyweights Brass Band with Jackie Richardson and the brilliant guitarist Kevin Bright. Lots of fun!
It´s a good place with great music and food. Specially if you like to dance and meet people from different countries.
Great ambiance, delicious food and excellent service definitely one of my go to spots
The place might look unassuming but the food is terrific and the way it's set up is perfect! It has dining tables on both sides of the Dance Floor and very spacious dance floor, which is perfect for having an awesome salsa night.
It's always a lot of fun. Food, dancing live band. Energy in the place is high and there are Salsa lessons on different days.
Great except our waitress was terrible. Our server was Adrianna. She was slow with the drinks and overcharged every order. Then rudely asks for a higher tip!!! She then complained to the rest of our table that she wasnt tipped enough. Of course begged for more tip money from every bill she handed out. Unbelievable. Never had such bad service. Too bad it ruined our experience. The place was great other than her
Food is great entertainment is nice staff is alos nice...only set back even though the venue is big ,it really is to small for they really want to do there....but all on all good reviews
RUDE security and POOR service. There was a $15 cover, even though my friend had a VIP table. Then they force you downstairs to mandatory cost check. I paid for the 4 of us out of embarrassment ($70!) and you’ve barely walked in the door. And the security was so RUDE. We found our friend at his table, and it took the server 45 minutes to see if we wanted drinks, then he gave us attitude for asking if the kitchen was still open for food. We left. Going here was a mistake, and I never will again.
The live band was great! But Lula itself is not what it used to be. No dj or at least good music when the band wasn't playing. The volume of the music was so soft that you didn't feel like dancing. It said they closed at 2am but at 1130pm when the band stopped playing they turned in the lights and everyone just left. Disappointed. It's ok if they don't have a dj, but at least put on good music at a good volume... It's a dancing place!
My boyfriend and I normally go dancing at El Rancho and were excited to try out a new place. We were very disappointed when after waiting in line for over an hour at -15 degrees weather, two girls flirted their way to the front of the line and then got 6 other girls to join them at the front because they flirted with the bouncer. It was very obvious to everyone who had been waiting in line that they were flirting with the bouncer and called all their friends over from the back of the line. When we confronted the bouncer, he quickly interrupted us by telling us he would let us in right away. However, because we didnt want to do the same thing that those girls had just done to everyone else in line, we decided to leave-along with a few other people in line.
The music, the band and the dancing were amazing- probably the only thing I'd come back for I would skip the dinner next time. My biggest issue was the food and the price. We went on Friday where the dinner package was $49 and honestly my experience was not worth my $80 bill at the end. I ordered a cucumber mojito which was totally not worth the price. And I didn't finish anything aside from my trio dip appetizer everything else just wasn't up to par. There was one employee specifically Olga, who I communicated with in terms of reservations who was heaven sent! Great response time and was able to accommodate every changes we had! Great place but need to have a better menu for that price'
Lula is one of the great places in Toronto for Latin Live music. The live band is really amazing (is what I like the most). They provide food according to the place and drinks as any other restaurant/bar. The place is designed to go dancing, has a big stage and large bar. You can also have a table if your party is big. They have salsa lessons (free on fridays I think) and the band again is really good. Whem the band is not playing DJ will mix some nice latin/pop songs for party/dancing.
Food, hosts, ambiance and experience were absolutely amazing. The lessons was a little crowded and would recommend for the owners to add a screen above the stage for those in the back to see the instructors steps more clearly.
Amazing place to enjoy and party.. specially for dance lovers. If you are looking for drinks and dancing this is the place. I wouldn't recommend it for dinner. Its crowded so you cannot hold seats for longer.
Super fun place! Heads up - always make a reservation for dinner in advance and be there till 11pm on Saturdays. Their live bands and salsa classes are amazing. They also pay DJ in between.
Always a great time whenever I attend this place on Saturday nights! The ambience, especially the live music band and salsa dancing outweighs the bar lineups!
I like the place. Good music and good vibe. However paying for your seat at a table with your friends at Covid times, one expects a better service. In particular, we tried a variety of drinks within the group and any cocktail or wine had made the group unsatisfied. The cocktails were watered down.
Tina Turner Music Night???? ???????? This was an amazing show!!!! Lula Lounge never disappoints!!! Great venue, good music, lovely food & drinks, reasonably priced, excellent service, friendly & efficient staff!!! Shout out to Todd!!!! And the shows are phenomenal!!! A great place in the city to get your grove on and dance the night away???????????? Can’t wait to attend the next event!!
Great place to hear live music and get some dancing shoes on!
At the Shine Fundraiser. The Service has been excellent and the food has been good. Music has Been wonderful!
My family and I go to Lula Lounge a few times a year and we always have a blast. The food is always great, as are the DJs, bands, the decor and general style. But also, the staff and service is consistently some of the best we've ever experienced. We were there this past Saturday night (August 10th 2019) and our server, Suzy, was probably the absolute best server we've ever had serving us... at any restaurant... EVER! No joke! We were blown away. In a packed house where the staff was super busy all night, Suzy still went over and above to make our night awesome. She was super organized, friendly, accommodating, and professional. And she actually took time and effort to take multiple group photos for us at our table but also at different areas of the venue - taking time and care to get the prefect pictures for us. Also (and this was incredible), earlier in the day, before going to Lula, I had injured my ankle and was experiencing bad pain and swelling by that night. We were talking about it at the table and Suzy overheard this. So she actually went and brought me an ice pack for my ankle! Like I said, we were more than impressed by her service. She was super busy but still went over and above for us every chance she could. We're super impressed! And that ice pack actually helped me lots! I was dancing within a matter of hours! Many thanks to Suzy and Lula Lounge for a great night of dinner, dancing and excellent service! We'll be back again soon!
It was amazing , I haven’t had that much fun in along time . The food was very good n the music n band was fantastic I would recommend Lula for sure
Amazing service!!!! Really good food and fantastic music!!! Great night!
Awesome night. Food was delicious and the live band entertained us.
Amazing food and service. Jazz Safari great location.
Great live music performances! Haven't tried food yet.
Food quality and presentation was poor. Service was inattentive. Show was great.
Good atmosphere, decent food, great band. Table service was terrible...took over 3 hours for them to serve our 3 courses! Extremely crowded...barely room to move, people dancing in the dining area, shaking their booty in your face..yuck. Will not be returning!
First it was nice but in an hour it became too crowded to dance. They have mostly salsa on Saturday and very little bachata.
Went here on a Friday night for a friends birthday. We got there before 8 so no cover, and the door staff were very pleasant. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive as well. Hence the 3 stars. The food was less than satisfying, pretty bland and waaaaay overpriced for what it was ($60!) The dance lesson was very enjoyable, however when the dancing began it was uncomfortably loud, so we left. I doubt I would return here again.
I'm a lover, not a dancer so this place scares me. But if like to dance, great place to shake your booty.
Awesome place to hear and dance to live salsa bands. They have a dance lesson every Saturday night and then open up the dance floor. Really great place for social dancing. Just wish it was bigger, it can get really crowded, especially if the band is well known. Yummy food too.
Great hub for the arts! Great music all year round
Is was great. Great place if you'd like a nice fun night out with friends for dinner and dancing! Our servers were awesome! It was my third time coming there but my first time going for the dinner package and it was pretty good. Love love love the live band!
Had an amazing time at Lula Lounge! We took advantage of the dinner/dance package. The service was second to none. Every staff member we interacted with was super personable and professional. I highly recommend that you arrive early enough to finish your dinner before the dance lessons! I believe this is a must if your sitting in the main room. Lula's energy from the dance lessons quickly transitions into a club atmosphere and you should have enjoyed the good service/food and be up and ready to dance. Or at least attempt. I showed up with a pair of two left feet but it was a blast ! Thanks Lula
Amazing
I would like to thank all the staff at Lula lounge, especially Adrianna (our server) and Olga (reservations). We were there for my birthday party on the 29th of December, just last week. We had an amazing time, everything was perfect. For some friends, salsa isn't their scene, and they just loved it. Thank you all again, we will visit again for sure!! Dafni
Not knowing where to go on a night out, I looked for a jazzy place and I was hooked on. Friday nights aren't nice, they're amazing when you enjoy yourself as much as at Lula Lounge. The music was electrifying and the dancers were fun to dance with and knew how to put on a show.
It´s a great place to meet persons from different countries, and enjoy with friends . The music and food are different from others places. It´s a good place to go and dance!
Tried to charge me 2 times HIGHER price. Also tried to get me to give tip even though 18% gratuity was included. also gave me wrong drink THREE times claiming it was right as if i couldn't tell the difference between gin and rum.... BE AWARE! If i were drunk that would be a BROKE NIGHT!
Had an AMAZING experince on valentines day one of the best night i had in a long time .. tracy and the servers and all the mangement team helped me accommodate my dietary restrictions for my midnight platter and the entertaintment was exteremly outstanding the dj and band was crazy good vibe took me back to cuba days. Great job! will deff come back again.
The renovations have made this place much better! Fantastic live music as always
I went here for my bachelorette party and this place was incredible. The service by our waitress was outstanding(wish I knew her name so I could give a shout out!) , the atmosphere was perfect and the salsa dancing lesson was very fun, the band also was amazing and got the whole place packed. Great night and amazing vibe, thank you!!!
Fun place to visit for good music, good drinks and great time overall. Front door greeter is very rude, but don't judge the place by his attitude (maybe it'll change one day). The coat-check gal is absolutely amazing, always greets you with a smile, super friendly, assures you with the safety of your belongings, and she'll never leave until you get your stuff. Bartenders are awesome never leave you waiting for your drink too long.
Great food and atmosphere. The staff are friendly with excellent service.
Had the most amazing time for mine and my husbands 5th wedding anniversary. We wanted to try something different and so went to lula lounge. The food and drinks were amazing. The drink options are huge and amazing. We opted for the steak and shrimp for the extra money and it was well worth it. The steak was huge and cooked perfectly. The desert and apps were also delicious. Our server was the sweetest and and so much fun. The dance lesson was basic beginner salsa so we watched and drank during that time as we know how to salsa. The band was unbelievable and sounded like a recording they were so good and entertaining. The only down size is the size of the venue. The dance floor is not big so gets packed fast and hard to dance. Would definitely return again and reccomend it.
Super fun place to meet friends. If you like good food and a great atmosphere... salsa dancing and live music... this is the place for you. Love it!
Great music, good crowd horrible food. My medium-well steak was over cooked, cold, dry and tasteless. Still got charged the above primium although I disintegrated eat. No more dinners at Lula for me.
I enjoy going to Lula Friday nights. However, since they started charging women cover they have lost most of their regular salsa dancers. Lula still fills up, but you will be hard pressed to find dance partners. I recommend everyone going there at least once. There’s a live band Friday’s and Saturday’s singing great music. Ask for their Cuba Libre at the bar!
Great band, DJ and awesome environment. Don't get any food or snack. Only get drink
Great atmosphere. I was excited to have a mojito being Havana night and at $14!however I was very disappointed, the bartender had no idea how to prepare it, and when I requested to use the morter to get the juice out of the mint and use a tall Collins glass vs a short glass she gave me attitude. Payed her the drink and I just left it there. It was disgusting
Love letter Cabaret is amazing @ Lula. If you have a chance, go see it.
We came to celebrate a birthday, party of 11 people. We all left extremely unhappy... what an unprofessional service... our waiter wouldn't let us pay at the table, we had to follow him to the corner where all the waiters were to pay. After we paid the waiter came back and literally asked us to calculate how much we paid because he thought we were short which we were not. Couldn't even enjoy ourselves with this ridiculous service, the waiter constantly asking us questions - he clearly does not know what he is doing and ruined our experience at Lula lounge. Music was mediocre - nothing special. And beyond that, the table we had which we reserved in advance was extremely inconvenient, a bunch of people had to get up every time someone needed to get out. Overall, very unhappy with the service, the food, everything. Not worth the price whatsoever, would not return.
Best music, tasty food, veg options (2), great service, positive energy all around, relaxed yet very moving. Simply, go the Caribbeans without leaving Toronto :)
My bestie took me last night for my bday and it’s was so much fun. Definitely going back. Amazing vibes from the (front door entrance)beginning to end. Plus the food was great too!
Very lively! I've only been here once and there was a live band and they were incredible. It's a mixed crowd of all ages, and overall, very down to earth. Drinks are reasonably priced for a club/lounge and the bartenders are very nice. They always have water at the bar with plenty of clean glasses, so you don't have to bug the staff every time. Even if you are not confident in your dancing abilities, there are plenty of people who will give you a little lesson. :)
Food was really good, staff was friendly and attentive. Phil our server treated us like we were the only ones in the room. Made my wife's birthday very special. Thank you to the staff and the band...they were amazing! We'll be back!
we were there last night to see the Composers Collective Big Band. it was a great show and the food was really good too. i'd never been there before, but will certainly go back.
My friend invited us for her birthday on July 20th and booked the venue 4 weeks in advance. once arrived, our group was split and seated at 2 tables which of course ruined the party. She then got charged no show fee for some reason. Disgusting place, management and customer service. Server was pretty rude and place packed with people not even dressed up appropriately- wearing shorts, plam tree shirts etc.Dislike and will never go there again!
Great atmosphere, awesome music, but in need of some seating area without having to reserve for dinner first.
Vibrant venue for music performances ... helpful staff ... great food!
I just went to Lula on Saturday February 24,2018. The music and bar service was great; However, the place was very very crowded to the point that me and my husband couldn't even get a salsa turn without stepping on someones feet or they stepping on our feet. I noticed a lot of men standing on the dance floor just talking and blocking people from dancing. Lula promotes Salsa "dancing and teaching" and there aren't many places to go dance good Salsa. there should be a rule ..If you are not dancing get out of the dance floor and let other dance. lol just saying we paid $30.00 to go dance yet we couldn't dance.
Amazing food!!! I recommend the jerk chicken or the steak.... It was a fantastic time... Great music Live and DJ.... I will definitely go back....
Poor service, poor waitress, and old fashioned South American environment. I felt I went back to village of Mexico. DO NOT TAKE FOOD SERVICE. waist of money. Big time.
Booking tool was deceiving... we tried to reserve the table thinking we will do a la carte for drinks and snacks (as we had reservation for dinner already at a fine dining restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday, to have dinner well before dancing) and thought we may just have to pay the extra cover for dancing... but after confirmation, tool tells us we reserved for fixed menu for a cover of $59 per person, which should have been disclosed before confirming the booking (tool asked for a credit card), and the tool did not let us cancel the online booking (and the restaurant was not going to open until the evening of the reservation). So we decided to just go, and cancel our other dinner reservation. We arrived - ambience was good and music was nice (volume was a little too loud for our comfort and the speakers were not of best quality), but the place was very over crowded. Dance classes were pointless as we were hardly able to move around or see the instructor on the stage from where we were). After the classes, more people joined in to dance, and it literally became a sweat fest, so we decided to just go sit at our table. Now food - for a fixed menu, the selection was very limited, and the food was decent but not great. Overall, it was not the worst experience, but we will not return here for dinner. We will just go for dancing on a non crowded day, since this is the only salsa club we know of in town.
Salsa nights are fantastic! But I went to a frank Sinatra night which had zero room for dancing because of the seating setup, which was pretty disappointing.
