Excruciatingly terrible service. Booked my booth a week in advance. On the night of they said they don’t have me booked... manager was NOT accommodating or UNDERSTANDING. Immediately judged for the worse. Until showing her my receipt she decided to let us in and when we got in she gave us a booth for 3 people when there were 12 of us. We booked on the main floor which they didn’t accommodate and plan for. They ended up kicking out a group 9 people from a booth that was originally ours. The manager was also surprised to face outspoken Individuals from my group and she threatened to not accommodate us to the best of her ability.. My guests were confused and embarrassed for me, of course they will confront management for almost ruining my entire night. It was a disaster from the beginning to the end. 2 hours in we were kicked from 2/3 of our booth for another group. We had 3 people sitting and 9 standing. Which we ended up leaving of course. It’s an absolute embarrassment not only for EFS as a whole but for myself as a host.

EFS has a pretty poor layout. I've been to a handful of small/boutique clubs but this one just didn't give me a cozy vibe. Also, there is nothing appealing about the furniture or decor as it seems there is no theme to the club. I went on a weekday, during TIFF. The music was mediocre, most weren't dancing, but just standing around and talking with drinks in hand as they tried to look occupied. It was very packed as well. The bartenders and staff would actually push straight by me or through a group of people with no regards to knocking over drinks or minor injury. This was the worst club experience I've ever had.

Came to club around 11:15, it was pretty empty. There were 4 of us. We get to the bar and start ordering drinks. By the time we finished the third round, the bartender tells us to move away from the bar because nobody ordered the drinks from her in the past 10 minutes. Very classy! These negative reviews assure me that my experience was not an exception.

If you like an overly crowded club with mediocre DJ to feel the liveliness, this is your spot. I been here numbers of time because of my friends but i personally disliked this establishment. When it's quite, staffs can be very nice but it's really up to their mood. Usually they are either pretty rude or very aggressive. Witnessed staffs yelling and threatening at poor girls to throw them out over nothing for few occasions. I never seen staffs commonly treating their clients(especially girls) in such way at any other establishments. I believe Monday is African American night but usually only half of the club is being used. Other nights are more of mixed crowds from early 20s to early 30s. Line up starts pretty early. Music is usually top 10 mix.

This place is amazing. Lebron James was there this week. The staff is super friendly and the music was the exact kind I was looking for. It was mostly hip hop and the DJ was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this club to anyone looking for a girls night out or anyone looking to have a good time.

this place is a pit. its funny how they are trying to appear fancy and vip but in fact its packed with low-level people.. we entered the place easily but couldnt get back in after 20 minutes cause the security guy said somebody in line offended his brother so he is not letting anybody in. that lasted until the club was actually closed. dont waste your time!

Rudest staff I have ever encountered. The bouncer had a go at me for mentioning that it was cold outside and then threatened to not let me in for being a dick. The most incompetent coat check staff. To finish off the night, after ordering 3 times from the same girl at the bar, she accused my friend of not ever giving her a tip (Which was a lie as he tipped her in front of me every time). After he added an extra tip on to the table she through the money back at us while swearing and screaming (get the f*** away from my bar). She then went on to throw a glass at us off the table !!! Who even does that ?! Never coming back here again.

Nice atmosphere for a small club. Unfortunately, staff is awful. They forget they're in the service industry. Security looks for confrontation, are racist (less likely to let in 'minorities') and are very rude. Coat check will make you wait while they're busy texting. I won't go back. Way too many options in the city to be treated poorly when I go spend my money in their establishment.

Horrible service by the bouncers and staff. Had my friends and myself waiting in the freezing cold weather for 1 ½ hours and when I asked why ignored by staff that had no reason as to why we were being held outside. A guy the was in the club came out in a t-shirt to grab something from a friend and was sent to the back of the line in minus temperatures. When he was trying to explain that he was just coming outside for a minute was told by bouncers and staff to stop making excuses and they had no sympathy to the fact that he was waiting in the freezing cold in a t-shirt. My over all experience was just awful, after waiting 1 ½ hours and unable to bare the freezing temperature we just went home. My suggestion is if the issue is that the club is at overcapacity just say so and stop people from waiting in line with for damn reason. I would not even give them a 1 star.

Staffs were all pretty rude to their clients. Heard staffs exchange words to other customers and staffs engaged in a very unprofessional manner. Serving staffs/bar seems careless and watered down drinks. Music was basic. You're best to walk a few blocks down the street to get to the other clubs/competitors. I wouldn't recommend going to this establishment, until staffs / management changes .

This is the perfect establishment in which people wait patiently to have an organized good time and spend time quality time with each other. I've been to alot of venues in Toronto and haven't witnessed the most awkward arrangements of people coming together and having a good time . First thing first , the venue is too tight and too small to enjoy each other's attention , you feel like a sardine crammed into one another. Second : the bar staff continue on a repeated basis move into you and show you their flashlights as if it's part of the dance floor. I've never seen so many people clean up so many messes in such a quick time span and I've never seen so many glasses move all at once , while interrupting everyone on the dance floor. Third : Speaking of Dance Floor, I don't think there is one as people there just stand there and look at you. I guess this is what clubbing is all about nowadays. I am going to stand in my booth , Stand with my drink and stare at you until you say 'Hello' without raising your mouth.

Awful bouncers and door hosts. My group was on 2 different guest lists for bottle service which we booked through a friend who works as a bartender at EFS. We specifically dealt with a true joker named Gino who went on a full power trip and would not let us in without cover because he apparently can't read names off a list and could not find us on it. When I gave my party's name and the name of my friend who booked us, he had the audacity to say "Sweetie your friend just pours the drinks, it's up to me who gets into the club." My friend had to call the manager to get us in. As we walked past him into the club, he did not even apologize to me for his failure to read names on a list and for being downright rude when it was his fault. Based on the abundance of complaints on Google reviews (found another specifically about our boy Gino lol), we would never have come here if my friend didn't work there, and we're not going back till the door staff are less clown and more competent.

NEGATIVE STARS IF POSSIBLE. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Bouncers were rude and extremely unfriendly. Place is overcrowded on the regular. And I mean overcrowded because this place is SUPER SMALL. Bought over 7 bottles at this club, paid for the bill partly in cash but came home to see that the CC was charged in FULL. Furthermore, they will try to separate your party and kick you out one by one , to sell your booth away. No customer service and very physical bouncers. SCAMMERS. Management even had the nerve to hang up and say there was no record and I can only deal with the problem the night of. How? When inebriated and then get kicked out anyways? This place is an embarrassment to the city of Toronto . I've filled a report about this establishment for theft. If you've been in this situation I'd suggest you do the same so this "place" not even a true establishment, can finally get shut down. Will never return and if anyone even dares to open their mouth about EFS around me, I will make sure the venue loses its business from hereon in.

Horrible place got yelled at by security because we came in and out as we couldn't decide if we wanted to go in this club. When we got in the club it was jammed packed. As well went to the bathroom as i remember they had 2 men working in the area we waited at least 5 minutes before we could use the bathroom and one of the men working walked into a stall with another female while we waited then another man came out a different stall with a girl disgusting... no class. Left the club within 10 minutes of being there would have been less if we could get out fast enough.

If there was an option to give zero stars I would. I attended an industry event in which I showed up early and for a $70 entry fee I received 2 drink tickets. Around 10pm I went to the bar to order a drink and they were no longer accepting tickets (none of which was emphasized on the ticket). Plus, the bar staff started counting drinks and inventory and completely ignoring about 60+ patrons waiting at the bar to order. The Manager was also behind the bar and blatantly ignored a number of customers trying to ask questions or get his attention. He ran and hid in the office for a good 45min saying he was too busy to come out and speak to anyone. None of the bar staff were acknowledging any of the customers at the bar trying to order drinks. It's one of the worst scenerios of customer experience I've ever witnessed. I will never come back to this bar again and I suggest it never be considered by event planners as a venue that wants to collaborate with its customers. Everyone that worked there was arrogant and showed no empathy or effort towards resolution. This place is a joke. I also waited in a 20min line just to retrieve my jacket to leave. I almost would have preferred to ditch it and buy a new one.

The EFS patio on Thursday is amazing: perfect music level, chill atmosphere, cool guys and hot girls. However, you couldn't pay me to go there on the weekend when the patio is closed. It's like a dark, crowded torture chamber that will cause you to develop tinnitus (ear ringing); think of your grandmother's basement, then paint everything black and add 500 people. That's EFS on the weekends.

Do go not go here. I visited this club recently and I gave the woman at the front $20 for cover when I was told it was only $10 to get in. Then I asked for my $10 change back and she tried to tell me I gave her $10 bill when I handed her a $20 bill. I never received this money back. Afterwards I bought 3 shots at the bar and the bartender told me my payment for $33 didn't go through when it did. Then she kept asking me to pay again when I had already paid in the first place thus making me pay $66 for 3 shots. Afterwards I checked my online banking which showed that I did indeed pay twice and she brought her manager over who kept telling me there was nothing they could do to solve this problem. Horrible service, these people are scammers, do not visit this establishment. I have visited many clubs throughout Toronto and have never encountered service this awful.

Everything was going well UNTIL we where done our 4th bottle and they gave our booth away. I've never been to a club with bottle service and got our booth taken away. They didn't mention anything to us! The way we found out was from the new people taking our booth, which caused us all to get into an argument, it wasn't my groups or the new groups fault. First time ever and found i have a bit of mixed feelings about this club. It is a great club for King West area. Security and standard is tight. The setup inside is simple, clean, yet unique. I like the intimate feel it has as it looks small but due to the open setup it can handle decent capacity. has a couple small bar areas in different zones so you can get better, faster service without crowding, the staff were non stop busy all night, cleaning and all except for the washrooms which was disaster. I couldn't understand why The Men have no line ups in mens washroom and women had line ups like crazy not to mention fights were breaking out due to dis order. Small intimate solo washroom stalls which were kind of nice but there is no proper lighting so bit uncomfortable since it was bit messy and couldn't see clearly( I think it was meant as part of the charm) The crowd was a good balance of men/women. DJ was great had great tunes for the crowd all night long (sucks can't make BIRTHDAY SHOUT OUTS) The staff dress codes was clean, sharp, and in sync especially the gentleman next to the lady collecting cash for enterance. Lastly loved the booths next to DJ/BAR and compartment box/bin behind for coats amd things ???????????? and the bottle service ladies stick around and assist with drinks. Definitely would recommend and would go again. ????

Don't even want to give 1 star. Went there, had fun inside, came out to have a cigarette, tried to go back, told us to go back in the line. At this point the bouncer already recognized us as we went for cigarettes couple of times before. We kindly asked why and that we were already inside. He said he doesnt care and told us to have GOOD NIGHT and refused entry. This is how they make money guys, they find every excuse to kick out people who already paid their entry. The police was involved, told me to stop smoking and that I was blocking the road. I moved aside and stood on the car road and continued to smoke my cigarette. The police came and slapped the cigarette off my hand and pushed me to the car road, where I almost got hit by a car. I asked why I am not allowed to smoke, he said because he said so. So, I lit another cigarette, he slapped it out of my hand again with a smirk on his face. And then the bouncers and police threatened be to take me to jail, I told them to do it because I did not do anything and they just walked away. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DON'T GO HERE. This place was absolutely rude and disgraceful. I was not told that after 10 pm clubs in Toronto stopped letting ppl in... Apparently this hold true for EFS. the staff had the the nerve to say to another staff thaty friends and I were all monkeys mind you we were all black people. He got in my friends face for no reason and began yelling. Once inside the staff change the price of drinkd from customer to customers even though we were all buying the same drinks. Worst club experience in Toronto will not be returning and I hope this place shuts down.

I highly recommend avoiding this club at all costs. Please take this review seriously as well. Terrible security, I was literally choked by a bouncer for heading into an area I thought was the washroom...keep in mind we had a booth as well and were spending a lot of money there. The owner is also very racist. We saw messages between the owner and the friend who hooked up the booth and the owner wanted to make sure that there weren't too many "Scarborough dudes" in our group. There are also no in and out privileges. If you planning to head here, I'd recommend just staying home.

Wanted to go out and get some fresh air because the DJ and music was cringeworthy, so just needed to get some fresh air but couldn't because they took my cover fee, then stamped my wrist and then when I needed to go out to get some fresh air... The bouncer told me that there is no in and out policy. Total authoritative behavior by the management and bouncers which is frankly repulsive. Never coming back here!!

I came with a group of girls and all the white girls I came with got in then when myself and my other friend came forward (who are a different race) we didn't get let in. They literally closed the thing right in front of us. They were taking bribes from others and they made a point to publicly demean us. They literally treated me like I was a criminal. Never again. They need new management who can teach these horrible people what customer service is because they are in the SERVICE industry. Or the place should just go because clearly whoever runs the place thinks it is okay to treat people with no respect.

I'd give it a lower rating if I could, doesn't even deserve half a star. Went for a birthday party and watched a fight a few meters breakout in front of me with my four friends. As they escort the guys in the fight outside, another bouncer puts me in a choke and sends me outside. He then says have a goodnight, I paid 1200 for bottle service and was kicked out before 12:30 for literally no reason. I should also add that I was with a group of white men and I was the only person I color in the group. Will never go again, the staff aren't up to par with everything else on King Street.

This is THE MOST RACIST CLUB IN TORONTO! And I'm not kidding. I am a Caucasian male who went to EFS for a (Indian) girl friend's birthday. What happened at the door was simply revolting. After waiting in the "guest list" line for over 30 minutes while manyother groups of white people got in in front of us, someone from the night club staff came out and asked us what name my friend's reservation for guest list was under. The staff member went inside and then came out and whispered something to the bouncer before rushing back inside never to be seen again. The bouncer then told her that her name was not on the guest list although she showed him the email confirmation and her call log from her phone. Then another bouncer came over and pushed one of my other friends and told us that "a group like ours" won't be getting in unless we are on the guest list. This obviously outraged my friend and our group walked away to prevent further argument. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING TO THIS PLACE EVER IN YOUR LIFE AND I DO HOPE THAT IT GETS CLOSED DOWN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. There is no place in Toronto or anywhere in 2016 for this time of discrimination and racism. I hope the owner sees this and they lose a lot of business because of it.

I did not want to put my real information because I am very fearful of this people behind this club. A few months ago, I attended one of my friend's birthday party. I decided to buy him a bottle before I left. I ordered a bottle from our server who asked me for my id and credit card and when I gave it to her, she left with it and came back after 4 to 5 minutes. She had copied my information, my credit card and made copies of my id. The next few day, they setup a system where my credit card was pay a paypal account which was setup under my name. It should have raised red flags when I saw the girl take my card and disappear. There should be no circumstances where they should take the card away from the customer's sight. Terrible business to scam your customers and steal their credit card information. I do not recommend going to this place. IF you do, take cash or withdraw from ATM. Do not trust any of the female servers there, they will steal your credit card information and commit fraud. I was able to trace my card as I don't use that card very often and figured that only place that was suspicious was this.

Way too stuck up, the place changed big time from year or two ago. Nobody dances they all just do a two step and look at what clothes or jewelry you have on. Good music though. First time back after a while, still very bad service, the line up is ridiculous we had a booth with 8 bottles and still got treated very poorly, I went out for a smoke when I tried to get back in the guy said 100$ to skip the line to go back in to the booth, if I’m coming to spend few thousands of dollars at a club and my friends had to wait almost 2 hours to come in I wouldn’t have spent a dollar the bouncer wanted a 100$ a head to skip the guest list line! I feel bad for the people who stood in line for this (Including myself yesterday). They will do everything to make sure you don’t wanna come back. From the start (getting inside the club with rude staff) you get to know it is going to be a bad night as I thought maybe the vibe inside is good but lol. Music can make you forget the first part in some clubs but not this one for sure. The DJ and music are one of the worst in Toronto with the sound system even worse. I would suggest people not to waste their time here even once in you lifetime coz in any case you will never come 2nd time. All good reviews are probably their promoters or employees. Stay away guys and if you have already walked here or standing in the line just walk out and go somewhere else to save your night.

Finally made it to the front of the line after an hour until the bouncer said guest list only... Obviously it wasn't and he demanded $20 to let us in. We really didn't want to go anywhere else so we ended up paying and he takes it and sneakily puts it in his pocket. Had another separate occasion with the SAME bouncer and he lets these girls behind me in just because they were girls and cut me off from coming in. Luckily a promoter came and i was able to tell them i was on guest list and got in.

Worst customer service ever! We asked and booked a booth a month ago for a group of 13. We traveled 5 hours to get to this place. We arrived there and all they gave us was a small cocktail table. They wouldn't upgrade us to a booth because it was full. Our waitress was kind to let us know the real way they work. She said if another group is ready to spend more, they will downgrade the other groups without letting them know. The way the manager handled it was really poor. 0 for customer service. Plus, the bouncers threw everything that was in my purse. Not worth your money. Don't go there.

Don't even risk being 30 seconds late if you're on the guest list. Here for a bachelorette, once in a life time experience and came from out of town. Left our hotel at 10:45 which was 2 km away, and got here at 11:01 due to traffic, and they wouldn't make an exception or even hear us out. Cover after that is $20/person and we are a party of 8. Despite this, we decide to wait in line, being assured that being on the guest list will get us in. That was until a group of women behind us played an "oh poor me card" and got to but In line ahead of us. Highly doubt I'll be back.

Has a $20 entrance fee, and the music was horrible. DJ won’t take requests. Most of the staff is on their phones the whole night. Dance floor is small. Literally the music made me nauseous and I had to leave. Only nice thing I can say is the upstairs patio was pretty nice but even then it’s not worth the money to get in the door.

After telling us earlier that our booth was reserved at a later time, Staff came and began THROWING our jackets and purses out of the booth while none of us were sitting there. I had to ask them what was happening and they were very short with me. I'm sorry, are you upset I brought my business here? Good 90s-2000s hip-hop throwbacks, but no one mingles because I think they're too wrapped up in themselves. I will not be returning to EFS.

Bouncers have sticky fingers. We paid for a booth and complimentary tickets, ladies free before 11pm. We're told while inline at 10:30pm no more ladies free but we'd get $15 cover. Bouncers didn't give change unless you"reminded" them. All in all our night cost considerably more than promised and who knows where that cash went for an empty club. Not recommended, not returning.

If your trying to have a good time with a guy/girl, mainly girls in this place... Good luck. Got a booth at this place and realized majority of the girls here are all Kim K's. Boogie and stuck up as hell. If you aren't driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini, living in a condo with 2 bedrooms DOWNTOWN, best of luck even trying to get a dance, better yet start a conversation. Music is decent as well. Pretty good hip-hop and r&b music, that's why I give it a 1 star. If the music wasn't at least decent here, this place wouldn't even deserve a star.

I reserved a booth for my birthday last Friday. They said 3 bottles and 9 entries. The booth they gave us only fitted 5 people due to the fact that after an hour being there, they ended up bringing in another group to share with us. We asked the bartender why, she even said they should've never done that. They only did that due to over booking the club. Which sounded like they were being money hungry. For someone new to that club and someone who spent $2,100. I expected more. I feel like i got robbed. I am very disappointed. Never coming back again. Bad service!

This place is horrible. We booked thru Nicole and were assured we would get our table. When we got to the door we were told that all the tables were pre sold. We booked our tables weeks in advance and came in from Vancouver. Needless to say, this place is a joke and I wouldn't recommend anyone go here.
