Over priced and under whelmed. I have to say that disappointing was an understatement when it comes to our experience at Earl’s Sherway. It takes a lot for me to give anything under 3 stars but the only reason I’m not giving this place 1 star is because the food was pretty ok - the overall experience, especially for the price, was brutal. We went to Earl’s Sherway for the first time for my husband’s 40th birthday. We had reservations but still waited at the door for 15 mins to be seated. We looked past that considering the current circumstances and the hostess was lovely and doing her best. We get to our table which was instantly a disappointment since I had explicitly requested a booth upon making the reservation. We looked past that as well. Our server while nice, was completely incompetent. She took over 20 minutes to take our drink order. Another 20 mins to take our app order and 35 mins to take our food order. Drinks took forever to come and the kitchen made a crucial allergy-related mistake, even after double checking the contents of one of the items on the menu. 2.5 hours and over $250 for something not worth half that. Considering the day, my husband and I made the most of it but sadly, we can confidently say that we will not be returning to Earl’s nor will we be recommending it to any of our friends/family. Do yourself a favour and go to Joey’s, The Keg, Canyon Creek or Moxie’s. Better service, food and bang for your buck.

We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Food is amazing, would highly recommend the Impossible vegan burger. Hosts & servers are also great and efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in West end. Ambience was nice, busy place. Ordered the Street Chicken Tacos, truffle fries, and Garlic Prawn Spaghettini. The prawn spaghettini was good, balanced flavors, I'd recommend it. Was disappointed by truffle fries, super thin fries that end up hard rather than crispy. Chicken in the tacos felt like it was not fresh, taste was slightly off.

Ordered 3 apps, ate two wings before I realized they were not cooked through. Broke open three more wings and they were red and bloody inside. Waitress told the manager. The manager said she would check with the chef to see what happened. No explanation was offered, she did later say there would be no charge for the wings! Really? That was very kind of her, no charge for wings that were undercooked and we returned to the kitchen. We paid our bill, left the remainder of the apps and will never eat there again.

Haven't been to an Earl's since the pandemic started. This location just opened up in our area. Even though it was super busy we got seated pretty quickly. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. But the best part by far was the food. Every item we ordered was delicious. Kids loved everything they got as well. The Cajun chicken sandwich and confetti cake dessert were especially good. Highly recommend it will definitely go back!

Great new restaurant in Etobicoke! Easy parking and a new entry that makes sense- off the parking lot. Nice staff, super attentive. Clean and mask appropriate. Food and drinks: A nice variety of both. They do have special brunchy things on the weekend. A large patio awaits for the spring....

Earls does everything right, but I especially love the atmosphere. They have super friendly staff, and I love that they get to be their own selves, let their personalities shine. My server, Tatiana, was very helpful and personable, got all our dietary restrictions down perfectly, food was brought out super quick, water always topped up, couldn’t ask for more. Now on to the most important part, The food was delicious, as always! My favourite is the seafood chowder, could eat it all day. Definitely the best chowder in the city. I also had prawn tacos (only 3.50 a taco during happy hour, absolutely a steal). The prawns were super crunchy and perfectly balanced with the sweetness and umami of the tortilla and veggies/sauce. I can foresee many more prawn tacos in my future. To finish things off, the dessert I stole from my family members plates was also phenomenal, and my drinks were so tasty I almost forgot they were alcoholic. If you haven’t been to an Earls yet, my advice is to just go, I promise you won’t regret it (especially this location).

The worst experience anyone can experience. Takeout order didn’t get ready after 40 minutes - when I finally went in to ask, they said they took the wrong phone number. Well, whoever took my order confirmed my phone number three times and still got it wrong. Then when we finally got to pick up, they asked us to pay again when we fully paid in cash putting our order. She kept saying our order was online and we have to pay again even when we showed her my receipt. There was no apologies whatsoever and I felt like I was being accused of being wrong for giving a wrong phone number and not paying properly - I don’t even know what their problem is.The whole experience is just ridiculous and I will make sure never to go back.

The best tasting chicken I ever had. Ordered the Santa Fe bowl which had the best tasting blacked, juicy, melt in your mouth chicken. Everything about the salad was great. Also, highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip. Service was top notch.

THIS IS A MUST GO !!! They have happy hour on food & drinks ( look at my pics ) Our waitress was " Hailey " and she was amazing and definitely in the top 3 servers I've ever had, she was spot on with everything, when asked questions about the menu she answered with confidence she didn't have to say let me check She always checked on us, made sure there was never any dirty plates or anything I highly recommend if you come here make sure you ask for her !!! The food was amazing, nothing tasted frozen, everything tasted fresh!!! The steak was delicious as if I was eating at a steak house, Now there was some hiccups but come on they just open up its expected cause the restaurant is trying to find there grove, but that's how we met one of the managers name " Jordan " he was the best manager I've ever met, he came right away, took care of the situation, Super friendly and made us feel like we knew him for ever and like he truly felt bad about what happen The interior of the restaurant was super clean, the dishes, the forks, the cups, the water pitcher was clean, hints the pics cause I've never seen a restaurant that bright to be that clean, cause there's a reason restaurants like dim / dark lights to hide lol

This is my first time at Earls. I've been a little skeptical of going because someone told me a while ago that the food was mediocre at best. I don't know what they ate but everything I ordered today was cooked to perfection. The crabcakes, the spinach dip, the calamari. Perfect. The drinks, perfect. The steak was vooked to perfection. The lobster and shrimp, cooked to perfrction. Hats off to the chefs and kitchen staff. Special shoutout to our wait staff Amber and Aydin. They made the experience ecen better. I will be coming back a lot more.

Earls Sherway is beautiful! Love the atmosphere, layout and design. My friend and I have been waiting for opening day, since April when the sign "Coming 2021" was placed up. We came on opening night and the ladies at the front made sure we signed our COVID waivers and tracing forms. They informed us of new menu items only at this location and the steak discount on Wednesday. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted with champagne and sat at a cozy section with barriers. Hailey was our server and she was knowledgeable and super friendly! A great asset to the team as next time I will be asking for her. We had the seafood platter, steaks, pumpkin pie and celebration cake. Everything was super Delicious and I appreciate all the staff coming to us, saying hi being very sociable. We appreciate the great customer service! I think the only thing that was missing was fireworks :) Congratulations on opening a beautiful Earls!

I went about a month ago on a week night. We left a Makage vest and we were the last seating so no one else went to out booth. Even though they had our info we did not hear anything. We called and spoke to a manager. He said they had no access to security cameras and they would contact me later. I never heard anything again. If you value your possessions and have ever left something at a resturant be aware of this place. $1000 vest is being enjoyed by an employee and Earls could care less. I will not be visiting Earls again nor saying anything nice about them.

Came in with a group of 10 and our server got EVERY SINGLE persons order wrong. She forgot my tacos, sour cream and took 25 minutes to get every drink we ordered. My friend ordered a spin dip that never came, then she charged all my friends for the regular priced meal items during happy hour. When we told her the issue she came back, again, 20 minutes later with the new bill and condescendingly said “no difference right” when the bill was 10$ less. I don’t ever tip 0% but I really wanted to because she was awful and rude. I don’t really get mad at servers messing up because people have bad days but the whole experience was so bad i couldn’t even believe it She also brought us the wrong drink and when my friend offered to take it just to avoid issues the manager said” we can’t give it to you for free” as if that’s what we were trying to do. I’ve heard horrible things about this location and decided to come anyway… but honestly… don’t.

Fantastic addition to the rest of the resteraunts...went for lunch with my father and just had a simple quick burger, which was excellent...BUT WOW...that HOUSE SALAD is the best freaking salad I have ever eaten! It literally tastes like a dessert...I am in love! Also excellent TV setup...service was a bit slow but you have only been open a week. Still 5 stars for you!

Love love love... this location is truly upgraded. I was a loyal customer to Joey's however after the pandemic their food and service has gone from a 100 to 1. So I gave earls a try and oh my god the food the service the ambiance is all great. Pray to God it will stay like this and they will not flip their menu as usual!

Dined at the Sherway Earls location for Happy Hour at about 3:00pm today. Hostess was pleasant, found a seat for myself at the bar, dining solo. I know Earls is supposed to hold a higher service standard, and I do not believe a 14 minute greet time is acceptable, certainly not acceptable with an at most 2/3 full bar top. I only spoke with the bartender twice, once to take my order and one to take my payment. The food itself, great and up to the usual Earls standard. This negative review is mainly directed at the poor bar service. Not once after I got my food did the bartender come by to check on me, or even deliver a napkin. I tried flagging down a bartender several times with no luck, and I wasn’t about to stand on my bar stool to demand a napkin. Normally, I’m happy to have two or more drinks, this was an occasion I was more than satisfied to leave after one. With two bartenders working and a high expectation of service, this was a great letdown. Is this the standard to set for solo diners sitting at the bar?

I would say I've been into this location 3 times now since it opened back in September I believe. First is that very impressed with the overall interior of this place. It is no other Earl's I've visited and I'm 5 minutes away from Earls Square One. I'm definitely coming here more often as it is worth the drive and would love to experience trying out their brunch especially in the summer time. Food wise not a disappointment and I'm loving how they changed up the artisan bread presentation with that balsamic glaze, it is definitely worth a try. Crab cakes were on point and that Seafood Platter is a must try as a starter to your dinning experience. Now in terms of service I've dine in at the bar and it's great and very energetic bar tenders that would help you out. Recently I had reserved a table with my parents, but my servers just kept dodging our table. I think because I got there early, and just ordered a cappuccino while waiting for my parents. Even when my parents arrive during happy hour, he just kept walking away from our table to the point where we just got frustrated. Overall the food save the experience. Hopefully this is just a one off.

We came here for a birthday and wow the food and drinks we got was really good. I 100% would come back just to get the Spinach Dip, Calamari and some drinks. The spinach dip was sooooooo good I could of just eaten that and been content. The only thing is it’s quite overpriced and management wasn’t the best. They were having issues with their system and double charged us. I had to ask the manager to come back and give us a refund back for the extra charge and it took a while to wave him down. The menu is a bit random in terms of having sushi on it. I wouldn’t recommend the sushi, very salty and not authentic of course. But overall the apps and drinks were really great.

Was very disappointed with this location. There were four of us who met there last month for girls night out. The place was busy and we felt the food was rushed. I ordered their blackened chicken and was disappointed ????. The meat didn't even taste seasoned. The salmon my friends ordered was very salty. Our drinks were watered down considering the mule was $12.50 per glass. Expensive meal no value. Won't be back. The downtown King Street location is far superior.

I had high expectations. Found the restaurant to feel more “family” spot than trendy worth the nightmare to find a parking spot place!! Clam chowder delicious. Followed by fillet medium rare arrived well done . Sent back, 30 minutes later my steak arrived perfect. But not really worth the wait. I ll say the one shining light was Richie. He was personable and attentive manager. Unlikely tho that I’ll go again.

After my 2 star review because of the micromanaging, I decided to give it another try without anybody knowing, I didn’t want special treatment. And it was amazing! Didn’t get the vibe of the micromanaging anymore! I guess it was just all part of the opening. I’m glad it feels normal now and the servers can do their jobs without that stress. Thanks Candace! Went during the grand opening week. Food was great our server was new which we understood and asked to take her time. After drinks and appetizers were given no further checkup was done for main course. We waited a significant length of time to make the decision to pay for the bill and leave. Even the request of the bill itself was directed to another server as we couldnt find out waitress until after the bill was then given to us. I also didnt appreciate the fact that there was another manager at the beginning just standing there and watching us order and eat which I found particularly wierd. Makes it very uncomfortable to enjoy an experience when your being watched. 3 stars as food and drinks were good but you need to come back and check on your table.

An absolutely fantastic experience!— This was my first time visiting an Earls and this is a brand new location across the street from Sherway Gardens. The people here are very friendly; my friend and I were served by Mose, and he went above and beyond with providing us with excellent service our whole stay. We were very impressed! The food is incredibly tasty. And the presentation is top-notch. Everything was cooked to perfection. The kitchen really knows how to make great plates with high quality ingredients. I really like the cozy atmosphere. I felt very comfortable. I can’t get enough of all the tropical plants! Just beautiful. Everything is very clean and sleek looking. The music is fun and upbeat and is not too loud.— We were thanked by the staff for visiting when leaving and we felt so valued and told them we could not wait to be back! Definitely make reservations in advance as they are popular (rightfully so) and do get busy. All in all I give 10/10, and I look forward to my next visit! Thank you Earls Sherway for a great night!

This is the 3rd time I've been here to this specific location and I had to change my review. Sadly enough, the service was horrible and not to mention a slight disappointment. We sat on the patio and was offered blankets by the lady who seated us and when we asked for the blankets, the waitress said "well I just turned on the heat". We also asked for our drinks to have been made with less ice and when we got them, it was completely filled. When telling the waitress she said "it depends on the bartender and the manager was probably watching".. completely not addressing what we asked for once again. We received ice cream late because it wasn't punched in when asked for and without cutlery once we got it, also got oysters without cutlery and it just felt as if we were not prioritized.. pretty disappointed but didn't even know who to speak to about it. Otherwise the food was great.

I had the Blackened New York Stake it was made the way I ordered medium rare, with pilowy mounds of garlic mashed potatoes delicious. The wine selection was great, I ordered the celebration cake and it came with the biggest sparkling fire work I have ever seen in a restaurant. I was served by Richie and he made a great day feal like my birthday, excellent! I highly recommend Earls it has way better service than the Sherway Beer Market.

Nice place and atmosphere, terrible service and food. Long delays to serve and even to pay. I ordered a Canadian Prime sirloin mediym well and it came ovenburnt. The manager excused the chef by saying they use a 750C oven that burns everything. I asked to have a new one and they brought it well done. on top of it my sister ordered a Santafe Chicken salad, and once again the chicken came ovenburnt. It was my sister's birthday and even though the server knew it she didnt bring any dessert or cake for the ocassion. And to add salt to the injury the server says at the end: "Oh, and we didnt charge you for the new steak" - even though they srill charge one..was she expecting to charge me twice for a steak I didnt even try? Too much of a location for such a disappointing service and terrible food. Dont waste your money, there are way better restaurants in the area.

First time to this particular location but I have been to this franchise many times before. Came during covid 19 stage 3 so dine in was an option. This visit the server was a bit unattended as we had long qaits to order drinks and for them to arrive, longer than usual waits to take our food order and longer wait times to even get our bill, I'm thinking it was the server as he didn't really look like he knew what qas going on. Oh well on to the food! Food was great as expected. My friend had a steak which looked good, I had the burger which was just meh. Overall I will still return to this location as I suspect my poor visit was just a one off due to the waiter being new. I still do recommend this place as usually they have amazing service and food.

My first experience at Earls Sherway Gardens was a big disappointment. It was a beautiful evening, so we decided to wait for a seat on the patio. We were told it was a 20 minute wait. After half an hour we went back inside to inquire, and was told by our hostess she thought we had been seated already. Surprisingly the patio was almost empty, tons of empty tables. Why the 20min wait at dinner time? Get it together already!

Had an excellent experience. Venue is beautiful. Food was very tasty and good portions. Went at Happy Hour and we shared truffle fries, margherita pizza with chorizo, prawn spaghettini, burger/ salad and lime mojitos. All were very good and great prices. Brandon was our server. He was terrific. Personable. Funny. Great service. A pleasure to be served by someone who knows his job and has a great perspective. Definitely would recommend this location above others. Better than joeys and cactus across the street.

I have been to this location a couple of times since they opened. The first two times were amazing and everything was on point. However, my last two visits left me feeling really disappointed in the customer service area. We visited last Saturday evening and called prior to check if there was a wait list. The hostess over the phone told us there was an hour wait but my husband and I decided we would just drive to the location to scope the scene. He went inside and was seated within 10 minutes, so right away we were a bit confused on the 'one hour wait' we were told over the phone. The lobby was full of people waiting to be seated, showing their proof of vaccination, or inquiring about reservations. Super disorganized and time consuming if your party is already seated in the restaurant. Upon being seated, we had to wait 15 minutes before our waitress showed up at our table. At one point we called over a passing waitress asking if she can take our order for drinks and she said she would pass the message along to our assigned waitress. When our waitress did show up (name was Tamara), she took our order. We got our food which was amazing (food has never been an issue here). Our waitress disappeared after our food showed up and again we were left reaching out to passing servers for some assistance. My husband at this point wanted to leave and only then when he passed the message on to a passing server, our waitress showed up within 2 minutes and did not inquire about any of the food and only proceeded to follow up asking if we wanted the bill. We paid and asked for a physical copy of the receipt to which she returned with and immediately walked away without acknowledging us... I really enjoy coming to this restaurant but customer experience plays a huge part in being a loyal customer. I really hope it is reiterated with staff that being attentive and following up with your guests is really important.

First off, shout out to our server Sergi (sorry if I spelled that wrong) he was one of the best servers I ever met. The service from everyone was amazing and they also gave extra care/attention to certain allergies at our table. The happy hour menu was also very nice and the food overall was phenomenal! It is a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The spinach and artichoke dip was incredible and not to mention the bread was perfect. I also had the prawn tacos and crab cake (which was part of the seafood sunday specials) and dang that really hit the spot. To finish off the night we had the cheesecake which was perfect as expected. Definitely recommend this place and would go here again

Great service from everyone. We had 4 staff member making sure everything was great when we were sitting at our table. From sitting our 1 year old or giving papers and colour pen for my 3 year old, we all enjoyed our time at Earls. Food is also exceptional, try the tacos for starter, you won’t regret!! Every drinks we were ordering from the bar, it was served under a minute, impressive if you compare to any other restaurant in the area!! Thank you Earls see you soon again ???? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Outstanding location and service. Tia was most exceptional in her greeting and very knowledgeable with the menu and special offerings. She was simply a delight to speak to. She truly is a wonderful HOSTESS. The same applies to our Server Brandon as well. He was personable, friendly and very well versed with the menu and selections. His service and demeanour was exceptional from beginning to end. The location itself is beautiful and has great ambience. The complimentary Prosecco upon entry was a great touch and impressive. My only bone of contention was that paper napkins were being used instead of actual cloth lunch napkins during lunch service. Maybe it changes at night. If so, then disregard my last comment as that would be satisfactory. Lastly, the other hostess at the Host stand was just not as friendly and outgoing as Tia. She did a good job- but it was just not as GREAT or WOW, as with Tia. Overall very impressed with the newest EARLS location in Etobicoke. When COVID19 finally is gone, this location will be a beehive of activity/business day and night. Kudos!

My friend and I had dinner here. I just wanted to give a shout out to our server Aiden. I normally don't post on reviews but he deserves to be acknowledged. Just a super pleasant fella who was a real joy. He knew the menu extremely well and was helpful with selections. His personality really stood out and made our experience that much more pleasant.

Disappointing experience. First time ordering from the Sherway location for take out, and for almost $200 you’d expect the staff would be able to prepare the meal as ordered. Two steaks - one came with Cajun blackened spice that wasn’t supposed to have Cajun blackened spice, and one that was supposed to be medium rare and was medium well done. Guess we’re going back to ordering from The Keg.

We were there afterwork for Opening Night, hence no reservations. Overall it was a great experience, they have an awesome Happy Hour menu as well as Steak special on Wednesday. We both opt for the steak special followed by the Cripsy Shrimp Tacos. My only complaint was when ordering the steak special, we were offered a choice of Truffle butter or peppercorn sauce. When the bill came we noticed it was extra $3 for this which we were not advised, nor was it indicated on the menu. It would have been nice to have been told. Looking forward to trying out their brunch!

I could give this location a 10 star of how phenomenal their service was!! They were very accommodating at the front as we didn’t have any reservations on a Sunday night. Got a beautiful patio table, food selection was great. The new seafood menu is a must try, especially the shareable seafood platter. Can’t wait to dine in there again. Thanks to all the staff for their amazing hospitality.

However I will agree with previous reviews about micromanagement, although I understand the desire to go above and beyond for opening- trust your servers and bartenders! The experience at Earls Sherway has been fantastic. Most of the dishes, including Chicken Karaage, Cajun Blackened Chicken, and Salmon Zen Bowl, were well-prepared, well-packed and well-presented. One of the most important features that was so much appreciated was their use of environment-friendly takeout containers and bags! Therefore, thank you, Earls Sherway!

Disappointing. We wanted to try a new place for our work lunch and unfortunately the results were inconsistent. We did take out so I’m not sure if the confusion came from lack of communication. The labeling of the containers is confusing as nothing was circled so people who were vegetarian or had allergies had to take the risk and guess which meal was theirs. The menu displays certain options for some meals like “taco sandwiches” instead of regular tacos, which just came as tacos. The burgers were advertised as having fries on the side but they didn’t come with fries. The lettuce was brown and stale. It’s disappointing because we wanted to try a new place, and the people that got their orders correct liked their food!

Had a wonderful time celebrating milestones missed during the pandemic at Earl's Sherway tonight! The food was delicious and fresh, our non alcoholic drinks were yummy, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The only blemish to our whole experience? Upon dropping off the seafood platter, the staff spilt a drink all over my friend. Although the shattered glass was quickly swept up and her drink was replaced, there was no other comps for this incidence. Her clothes got soaked on a chilly evening on the patio, and there was flavoured drink spilt all over her coat. We received a few extra napkins and that was it. It felt like an incomplete closure to a night that otherwise was fantastic.

Came in a Saturday night, it was a hopping place. I'd never been to many Earl's before. I was very impressed with the food. We were a party of 10 and I'm sure everyone was totally satisfied. I actually feel bad because we were there for hours and didn't order too much for long stretches of time. The service was excellent, server was funny and cool- hooking us up a few times over. Accommodating. My bill ended up being way less than I thought it would be which is a very nice suprise. I won't forget that. I normally don't go to places like this, but I would 100% opt to come back, and recommend this spot to others! Cheers

door dash delivery doesn't work. What a disappointment. Door Dash wants two credit cards to verify. I only have one credit card and a debit card. Debit card wouldn't work as a second payment method. There customer support was not helpful. They didn't know what to do. I liked it better when Earl's was on skip the dishes. Sorry I wouldn't be able to order from them anymore. And our order was over $100. I guess Earls doesn't need delivery business

I got the artichoke dip and the sushi with sirloin.. the spinach dip was $18 and it just seemed like heated up cream cheese that was coloured green. We ordered it as an appetizer but it came out the same time as the main, also disappointing. The sushi had way too much rice and little filling. Similar to sushi youd get at the grocery store. The sirloin sauce was very odd and just not good too much vinegar or something. Overall not a good experience. For those prices i would expect immaculate tasting food and service. Their asian inspired meals are miss, Joeys accross the street is way better. Go there instead. Waste of $70 , never again

Great happy hour choices. We enjoyed visiting Earl's for the first time at this brand new location. It was fairly busy for a Monday afternoon on a holiday. I love that they served brunch! I was not expecting that. Our server Keisha & assistant server (sorry can't recall his name!) were awesome :)
