Privé is a great energy! I'm from sylvan lake and make a trip for there special celebration nights. The girl to guy ratio is good. Get a reservation or show up early because this is where everyone is going for a great night!

I went to Prive recently and had a very disappointing experience. We ordered bottle service and they overcharged us by 660 without clearly identifying those additional costs. They misled us into buying larger than normal sized bottles in which we were not fully aware of those large price differences. I am not surprised to see that there are less people going to this club as prior years and even less ordering booths. Their reputation has really gone down over the year. I really hope Prive can reflect on their dishonest practices and go back to the great place it used to be.

Honestly looked at the reviews here and thought it would be a good time but felt pretty disrespected. Who makes guess wait so long first of all for such high cover? Would probably avoid and try to go somewhere else haha. Lot of these reviews look like people who work there too, so pretty ridiculous. Don't even really put reviews too, so just here to share!

Thank you all for the real reviews of the neglectful and sketchy staff over serving and overcharging I read some horrible reviews about alot of bars in Edmonton But the ones on here are all consistant and this bar should be investigated by Alberta liquor board officers Report them its the bars duty to prevent customers from over consuming and causing harm to the public Shame on all these bars for not providing quality service I hope to see the Prive sign upside down soon Or see a class action against you scum

This place is a dump. Good music but very bad service. First off the bouncers are all tools who think they are security for the president. I’ve seen them assault people On more than one occasion. Second of all why have a line up when they always let there friends in first. Third they do discrimination against people they don’t like. Then blame it on there dress code. Avoid this spot.

I had never been to this club before but they advertised a “cirque de soleil” type show for New Year’s Eve. The bartender said the “show” started around 11:30 pm after having to check with the manager. The show consisted of a 10 min mediocre acrobatic display on a stripper pole. We left soon after midnight. I contacted management who stated they didn’t believe there was false advertising for $40/tix. No apology, no compensation. Apparently there were other “acts” later in the evening but how were we to know when the show was said to be at 11:30 pm, we thought that was the extent of it and no one who worked there could tell us different. We didn’t want a nightclub experience for new year’s but a show which we sadly did not feel was worth the price.

Went to Prive for a bachelor party recently and had a great time. Our bottle service attendant Marta was amazing. Made sure we got in without issues and led us to our table, she had everything ready ahead of time and the bachelor got a celebrity parade with the bottles. Definitely recommend Marta for your special occasion.

Worst experience at a bar. Went there for my stagette got dropped off in a limo. They charged my friend $150 cover for the stagette party. Then told us we had to leave because we were white and didn't give her her money back. Someone also stole her purse while this was all happening. Definetly not a good time at this establishment.

It's one of the very 'cool and hip' clubs of Edmonton. I've been here a few times and from personal experience, I like the fact that Privé is a classier club compared to many others here in Edmonton. The bad experience I've had is that there was one time I had to wait in line for a good 40 minutes and while I was waiting, one of the doormen (bouncers who let people into the club) accepted a bribe from people who just arrived to the line. Completely unprofessional... They can also come across as very rude and cocky in nature. The rest of the staff on the inside are friendly though. A fight had errupted, and the bouncers efficiently handled the situation. The music and DJs are pretty good, playing the latest EDM/hip hop/rap songs. There are two bar stations and the one in the back can get quite crowded at times, so I recommend going to the one near the washrooms. Atmosphere - 4.5/5 Service - 4/5 Doormen - 1/5 Bouncers - 5/5

By far the worst vip experience ever. Booked our reso 2 weeks ago, specifying which alcohol bottles we wanted expecting it to be ready. Instead our waitress comes over with a menu and then proceeds to take a half hour to get our bottles to come. Because we asked the sign to say "I DO" for our friends bachelorette and instead they brought out "I Q". She as well spilt a glass of water on one of our guests. She brought out the wrong drink mix. Also she was pouring our drinks and leaving them unattended while we were on the dance floor on top of which our booth was in a busy area which felt unsafe. We also hapoened to see a man drop something into one of our 6 unrequested pre poured drinks that she had left there. As well being so close to the dance floor, people were coming to sit and climb over our booth to get to the stage on top and security was doing nothing about it.

When I"m in Edmonton I always visit Prive Ultralounge. When it comes to Nightclubs I have two criteria when judging whether its a great night or a mediocre night. One is the music. This nightclub has the best top 40 open format mixed with old school hits. The house Dj never lets us down. He constantly controls the room and makes the vibe unreal. Along with the house DJ they constantly bring in guest DJs from all around the world. Second is the Costumer service. Any place can throw a ton of money in a room and say they are a top night club. The world class service starts at the door with the security. Polite friendly and very approachable. From the moment you walk through the door your greeted with beautiful, outgoing host. From the waitresses to the bartenders the service is unreal. I have never experience a night that flowed so well and all my friends said the same thing. They were well dressed outgoing and the costumer service was unreal. Make Prive your spot on the weekend when in Edmonton!

gets two stars just cause of the good music and bartenders otherwise forget about guestlist guys they make you wait in the line up in freezing weather even if you get there waaaaaay early so you and the person without are equals, would still have to pay plus the other employees are very rude! you will be surprised when you've waited outside at the front of the queue for an hour with guest list in -20C to enter a club that is empty with only the employees around. Upscale vibe, great service and music mixes. Security is tight and the girls are fun and friendly. Even when there is an issue, the staff gives the customer the benefit of the doubt and tries to reach a favorable experience for all guests involved. Table service is up to the mark, I'd recommend the larger back booths upstairs for a more secluded experience, but the tables looking over the dance floor from the DJ booth are great if you want to be in the middle of all the action. Top notch clubbing! Be ready for some real vegas style club scenes!

This is the first time I’m ever writing about any business on any platform. But I had to write it so you guys can know what you’re walking into. Tonight, I was out with my friends attending an event at Prive having fun and minding my own business. Suddenly a girl(one of the friends of organizers) broke a beer bottle on one of the railings by the dance floor and the glass hit me and my 2 other friends. This happened in front the bouncer. He just threw his hands in the air when he saw this happen. Luckily no one was hurt and me and my friend asked this bouncer why he didnt throw her out. My friend asked him first and then i went and asked him. He said “I’ll throw you out if you wanna argue.” I walked out with the bouncer and asked for answers when i was out, they had none. Security head came out and he had no answers. This is the worst experience of my life. I’ll never go back there and warn you guys as well. The security is just beyond rude.

Prive is the type of establishment to make customers with guests lists wait outside for over an hour in -30 weather until it becomes late enough for them to charge cover because their guest list has "expired". They are also the kind of establishment to grossly mislead customers and take advantage of their intoxicated state to gain more profit. Overall disappointing and a waste of my time.

Came with some friends and got bottle service, I was told by the manager it was a 2 bottle minimum, at $250 a bottle. When we got our V.I.P booth and server, I chose 2 bottles then come to find out there was an additional $100 fee for the house, servers and bar. I'm already paying $250 for $30 bottles. UNBELIEVABLE. Wish I was informed before I got everyone there and ready to party. Then the server said she would pour our drinks, I asked her not to chase them as one in whiskey and one is vodka, and not everyone drinks the same thing. She chased every single one, I use sprite with my whisky not coke. Then she proceeded to spill most of the alcohol when making the drinks and shots. I paid to dam much for her to waste my alcohol with a forced $100 fee. The club was so hot and the music was okay. Will NOT be returning or telling ppl about this club. Child manager and silly servers.

The bouncers are illiterate ass holes who try to get compensated by the people waiting to get in. I've been at this club twice and both times I had to wait over an hour to get in. The drinks are mixed up with water (some of them) and there is quite a lot of aggressiveness on the dancefloor. The only thing that this club offers in Edmonton that no other does is good music and a good DJ. Everything else SUCKS. Please, if you are going, go there early around 9:30PM, or else you would be waiting a long time unless you know the manager, have VIP, or you are a girl.

The atmosphere is great and getting there early is ideal as it does get really busy as the night goes on. Best hip hop music in Edmonton. Ask around and anyone will tell you that. The place is beautiful with an upscale style/theme. Best looking crowd! Everyone is always dressed up, thank goodness they don't let people in wearing flip flops/track suits like other places in the city. Bartenders and bottle service girls are friendly and courteous! Martha was our bottle girl the last time we went, she really went out of her way to make sure we were having a good time, even charged my phone for me in the back when it died. Beware of the bottle service from Prive. Long story short, my party was charged double what we had expected because we were apparently not explicit enough on the size of drink we wanted. So now we're out $660. The server suggested Belvedere and we went along with it thinking it would be $330 per bottle including a 20% gratuity. That was what we were told was the bottle minimum twice while making reservations. I get that’s the minimum price but they never made it clear to us that they would be bringing the larger and more expensive 1.75L size which is $660. They made this mistake twice since we ordered two bottles, and so we just thought that was just the standard size they serve. Basically I feel like we've been mislead, and when I contacted Prive to look for a resolution they essentially said I'm SOL. Rather than offer a remedy, Prive would rather keep short-term gains than build long-term clientele. I can no longer recommend to any of my friends Prive as a place to go out and enjoy yourself, especially when getting bottle service. You're probably better off throwing on a plaid shirt and riding a bull somewhere else.

This review by Aman below is a joke. His friends were being thrown out for fighting. Keep in mind Aman was asked to leave prior for trying to collect money from patrons inside the mens washroom, acting as the "bathroom attendant." When confronted about it, his response was "I was gonna leave the money on the counter for the other guy." (There was no bathroom attendant that night.) Aman grabbed a doormen throat and swung twice while they were escorting his friends out. Thus resulting in him being struck twice by a doormen in return. You don't threaten lives of those protecting an establishment, and expect respect in return. It does not work that way.

This place has the potential to be good, but its just so dirty. Toilet paper all over the floor in the bathroom, overflowing garbage cans, just so filthy (even with a restroom attendant!). The line up was way to long for what this place is, and cover was too much. If you want classy, don't go, if you want dirty, hit it up.

I recently went to Privé and it’s definitely not as packed as it use to be; I would say it’s boarderline dead. The staff and servers take advantage of your intoxicated state and will kick you out even after paying thousands. The staff and management don’t care about your wellbeing or customer statisfaction. They want your money and will use sleazy methods to get it. Overall, my 3rd trip to Privé was disappointing like the other 2. Maybe if they treated their customers with respect and actually address situations instead of vaguely giving answers in hope you’ll go away, people will start going to prive again.

Worst club probably in Edmonton! Arrived early no line ups and the bouncer seriously looked me up and down jst to find something wrong about me. He said i couldnt get in with jordans......! They were all black that looked like nike shoes. Dont know if he was being racist or not but believe it or not my friend(whose not black) had the exact same shoe!!!! Didnt even look or question him. Never going back.

The club atmosphere is amazing. The lighting, the room, the tables are all very nice and the layout makes sense. Even though it was packed it was easy to get a drink or get to the dance floor. The DJ was a top hip hop DJ from Canada and he lived up to his name. One of the bottle service girls, Martha, was very friendly even though we weren't sitting at a table. She explained how table reservations work for the next time we come down as their booths were completely full (we didn't realize we needed a reservation for bottle service) so make sure you reserve ahead! Probably one of the better clubs out here in Edmonton. All in all we had a great experience here.

it’s not worth the hype and Don’t go here unless you’re willing to wait in line for over an hour and be disrespected then pay 20 bucks once you finally get in. been here multiple times and its never worth the hassle. This place is a joke and I won’t be surprised if they go out of business in the next year. Clearly they have no common business sense, this is the business of hospitality and you all need a lesson, treat each guest fairly and people will come back, you all have a superiority complex and frankly it’s disgusting. It’s a popularity contest to get in if your cool with the manager, and they don’t try and hide it. Don’t bother waiting in line if you got some extra cash to drop on paying the bouncer they will get you right in. seriously in the hour I sat in line I saw the bouncer being paid to get people in three separate times and the manager come out and let in over 20 people while the rest of us sat outside like idiots because “its at capacity inside”. Needless to say I won’t be back, and you better bet im going to tell everyone your cute little antics. You want people to come to your business and have a positive experience and you failed pretty badly, but who am I to say anything im just part of the customer base paying your wages.

Worst bar in Edmonton! I have never gone in without witnessing issues with the security, either they keep everyone outside (no matter how cold it is) until their guest lists expire or they tell you “you never made a guest list” even if you have confirmation on your phone. They do not care about their customers and it is super overpriced. On multiple occasions I’ve seen people throwing their glasses and cups around and dumping their drinks on the dance floor and nothing is done about it even after talking to staff. Worst experience ever at a club and would never risk going there again. It gets dangerous when they don’t monitor their customers if they are overly intoxicaed and sick. I understand people getting too drunk, however the staff are legally responsible for everyone in their club (and to cut people off if they are that inebriated) and they are liable if anything happens, hopefully they can take some responsibility and fix this place.

I just wanted to write and say how incredibly disappointed I was with how our bottle service reservation for my best friend’s bachelorette was handled this past Saturday night. We arrived on time as requested only to find out that our reservation had not been confirmed, even though I have email confirmation received on March 5th from the club. I had to pull up all of my email correspondence with the club to prove that I had made a reservation. Fortunately an area opened up (no show reservation) and we were provided with the small section right next to the DJ booth whejre there was only a small table and seating along the back behind the DJs. This area was not our “own private booth” at all as promised when our reservation was made - everyone was just coming off of the dance floor to sit behind the DJs… But the most disappointing part was when we had finished both bottles of alcohol, our area was resold to the “owner’s friend” without us being informed and was swarmed with people. I brought this up to someone who was coordinating the bottle service and said that we had paid a lot of money to be there, only to get the response that other people have paid more

Im not really sure where to start about this club. It was my stag a very important night as I had guest attend from all over the world. We decided to go to prive ..worst decision ever! We got out of our limo and arrived shortly after 11 as we entered the line the door man as one would call him was shouting at my group asking us to stop talking loud... hmmm are you serious??? at a club drinking and they want us to stand without talking... power trip. it was actually pathetic when he was shouting at the girls who were simply chatting. As we entered my friend ACCIDENTLY bumped "bouncer girls shoulder and she gave her a dirty look .. saying WATCH WHERE YOU ARE WALKING. .. pathetic. We got a table for the night and that part was fine .. sure because we were spending money. Later on me and my friend got escorted out because the "bouncer girl "thought I was throwing up , when we went outside they could clearly see I was fine but she was on a power trip and refused to let me in because she did not want to look stupid. As we were talking some innocent guy got knocked to the ground because he walked thru the back.. perhaps they escort him to the front before using such harsh force? he obviously didn't think it would be a problem.. how embarrassing .. I recorded the event because I was shocked by their behaviour. Shortly after that my friend came out to use the phone and they wouldn't let her back in. She had no jacket or purse which left her with no money ! She left home in a cab by herself .. its really sad .. my night had to end like this .. my fiends came out to celebrate a special night for me and spent allot of money and the staff of prive made it into a nightmare. I too own my own business and know the importance of reputation. The staff of prive simply are on a power trip and have no respect for people . They are destroying the reputation of the club. I would never ever recommend going to this place. I completely understand the nature of their business and know there responsible for people who are drunk and irresponsible but they need to know the difference of managing and being on a power trip. People like that leave a dirty taste in your mouth I guess enough where I want to leave this review and will release the video. Be classy not trashy. Make a good experience where people have good things to say.

I went to prive for a night out with my boyfriend and it was the worst experience I have ever had at a club. We waited in line for 1 hour before getting in, the cover was $20 and the dance floor was soaking wet and a total mess. We had been in the club for about an hour, when we got hit with a thrown bottle of liquor. My boyfriend had a 2 inch cut on his head that needed stitches, I had a huge bump on my head and we were both soaking wet. After rushing him and myself out of the club the bouncers were extremely unhelpful and tried to down play the situation. They said that they wouldn't call an ambulance, but we could if we wanted the $500 charge. They acted as if this was a daily occurrence and explained to us that they knew who the guy was. No clue why they would let a psychopath like that into their club but okay.. they were shocked when I was screaming at them and I decided to called my own uber to the hospital because they were absolutely useless. They were checking out his head as if they were doctors, while he had blood dripping down his face. You would think that they would have called the cops or done something... but no. We waited 2 hours in the ER and my boyfriend had to get about 10 staples on his scalp. We are going to press charges against the guy but this club needs to be shut down. It is extremely dangerous and not worth any amount of fun you could potentially have. The people are disgusting and the staff are horrible, I have never seen a more trashy and unsafe club in my life. That was my first experience with Edmonton night life and needless to say I will never be going out here again.
