Walked in and once again there was no hostess to greet us. My friends and I sat ourselves at the bar, and after waiting several minutes I approached the group of staff near the kitchen. After my asking if there were any servers/bartenders available, everyone dispersed and we were served. Clearly hospitality isn't considered a priority here. Consider the Panorama Browns if you're in this area.

Overpriced food, and often very crowded. Service is relatively friendly and it's a clean place, but I wouldn't call it a romantic or cozy atmosphere - music is loud, TV screens showing sports events are everywhere. Better for bar socials than dinner dates.

Bland menu with very limited gluten friendly options. Always way too loud and way overpriced for such repetitive menu items. Serve staff can be hit and miss, some are great others you literally have to stand at the door to get their attention to pay the bill. Sad to see that they prioritize take out over the dine in customers. Last visit here in early September we waited about an hour to get our appetizers. Tried this location again this weekend and no change, long wait and boring menu. $$$$$

Came in for lunch a couple of days ago and had a really great time! I never come to Browns because it's a bit out of the way for me but I'm glad I did. I told our server Simrin that I never eat here and she told me to try the Tuna Poke bowl. OMG it was amazing! Super chill atmosphere as well and Simrin made the whole experience better than I expected it to be. The Oreo jar is to die for as well. I might have to come more often just for the poke bowl and service.

Went here for dinner wiv my daughter it was absolutely perfect our hist Amanda was amazing and very caring .. great atmosphere we ask for a window seat they were able to accommodate us .. except their starters don't have much of a choice there is no small salads so we ordered avocado toast its was kind of too small 10$ was one toast wid some avocado.. but it was definitely delicious. I would suggest this place is a go .. ????

I've been to this location 3 times now. I have to say that in my experience, the service is top notch. Never mind the people whining about COVID restrictions. These are probably people who got caught violating the health order and put everybody's job at risk. It's very simple. Flash your pass, as many people have done to enter a workplace for decades now, and wear a mask when not seated. Easy peasy. Some adults just act like children. Wait staff are NOT double masked either, as another reviewer suggested. They're single masked and quite easy to understand. Moving on...I've enjoyed every dish I've eaten there. The cauliflower bites are delicious. They know how to do calamari right too. If I have a complaint at all, it would be about the fries. Greasy and a bit soggy. They made a second batch for me, but unfortunately, they were exactly the same as the first. Go for the salad with your burger. It's a healthier option anyway.

Really disappointed with the level of service we received from the waitstaff. When we sat down at the table it took 7 minutes before we decided to get up and move to the bar. A couple minutes later we finally saw our server walk over to our table. So nearly 10 minutes after entering the resturant our server went to the table. The bartender was great on the other hand and even though we werent drinking she was diligent and attentive to us.

We were there on sept 8, 2021 at around 4pm. Food was ok, the dish that i ordered wasn’t made properly but the service was the worst i had in my life. Waitress served us food and didn’t even return to ask how is our food tasting and didn’t even came back to our table to check whether we need refills or not. She only cared about her tips as she came back to our table when we were eating to let us know her shift will be overing soon if we want to settle the bill with her, which was really bad as we just started to eat and what if we want more food. After that Me and my husband was sitting there thirsty. We were waiting that she will notice and come back to our table to ask about the food and drinks but she didn’t, I tried to draw her attention but in the end i have to call another waitress to ask for refill.

Happy hour is reasonable.....ambience is pleasant although we found it a bit loud. We enjoyed the tuna tacos and quesadilla. If u like chocolate I would recommend their brownie dessert. One criticism would be that the waiter took his time with everything....way over the average wait for food and bringing us the bill once we asked for it. Had him before and was not impressed last time. He was super forgetful. Gotta pick up your game!

A chain, best described as a downscale Milestones. Lacking the culinary finesse or decor of a Cactus Club or Joey's, but that is not to say that a Brown's would be a terrible choice to go to. If you're looking for something a little less booze-centric than a full-on pub, but still casual enough for your beer-league ball team buddies, Brown's can be just fine.

I dont know, kind of disappointed. Ordered three appetizers that took over a half hour to come out. The nachos had no salsa or sour cream on the side. My family and I went to this place at about 2pm Saturday Sept. 16. When we were seated, we were not attended to by the host/waiter till after 30 minutes. The place was not filled about 6 tables with two waiters attending. After the long wait, the waitress apologized for the delay in service. Fine, so we gave our orders: Albacore Tuna Bowl, Terriyaki Bowl, Potato Crusted Cod Bowl. When our orders arrived we were quite dismayed and unhappy with the presentation, the taste and the serving size of our meals. For the expensive price this place is pegging on their food we expect to be happy filled satisfied customers but that was not what happened. We don't plan to return to this restaurant and will not recommend this place to our friends. Whoever the Head Chef of that place is, needs to rethink his menu, presentation and over all taste.

Pretty disappointed. I don't come here often but decided to give it a try. Ordered dragon bowls and nachos to go. The nachos were dry, barely any toppings on them and honestly I've made better nachos myself at home. Dragon bowls were so tiny, the rice portion is ridiculous there's barely a handful in there and the price is beyond me!! SUPER expensive and NOT worth your money!

Wasn't going to write anything because I had a bad experience before, and decided it just wasn't worth it I would just stop going. At that time I called in and they said there was space for 4 people I went in, and they said there was no space because people made reservations. I look around and the place was near empty. I questioned the girl on why I wasn't told to reserve during the call, she spoke to a manager they then seated us. Ironically, it never even got busy. Whatever. At one time I used to be a regular here. I used to do Sunday brunch here for months. Food was good and pizza as well. But Brunch slowly got worse and tasted stale, once I even left the food on the plate as a sign of how unappealing it was. Pizza became expensive and once good ingredients became unappetizing cheaper ones. Today my Pizza was oily and it spilled everywhere because the bread was paper thin. I couldn't even use a knife and fork. We came for the oreo jar and it's literally half the size it used to be and not the same. We all agreed this place isn't worth it. Drive farther, there are many places that dont overcharge for tasteless food.

I swear the only really good waitress here is the blonde lady at the bar and the guy server.. i came in for happy hour and the waitress got my drink order...and i waited a long time for her to notice i wanted to order skme food since it was happy hour.. she walked past me like twice and just decided to chit chat with one of the other servers while i was clearly making eye contact. We appreciate the friendly greetings from the staff, many of whom have gone to school in the neighbourhood and the always smiling and friendly Spencer (the manager). My wife and I were here after a great comedy show in DT Vancouver and was shocked to see that my burger had undercooked. We've been to Browns many times and this has never happened before where I've ordered a burger and it's pinkish on the inside after I took a bite. Good thing they remade my burger just the way I like it - no pink on the inside. I would absolutely be back to any Browns location regardless of the little mishap ????

Always a pleasant experience coming here and it’s one of the nicer restaurants in the area (hello, North Delta/Surrey) especially when you want this type of atmosphere without going too far in the likes of downtown Vancouver. Their food especially their chicken wings are great! Typical waiting time is 25-30 minute wait for their food to arrive. Small but their is still quite a bit of room. Their iced tea is a little bit sweeter than i like it but everyone has their preferences so don't worry too much. Overall, a great meeting place to go with family and friends and also their is quite a bit of tv's spread out across the social house and bathrooms are clean and tables are clean.

I ordered a house white wine and fish tacos. I did notice that what used to be three tacos is now two but larger. The side salad awesome, contact tracing protocols and some genuine conversation between myself a single and a server. I love browns. They have a decent menu, a great atmosphere and the service at most locations has always been on point. I used to LOVE the dragon bowl and would often order it for pick up. Recently though, something has changed about my favorite dish and Browns failed to notify the public adequately. The recipe is most definitely not the same and it is a little irritating that there has been no mention of it to the customer base. I think that it should be mandatory, if a menu item is being altered, that the restaurant should have to inform the public so that the public can make a more informed choice as to whether or not they still will choose to order the item.

This was our third time at this browns for dinner within this month. The first two times were really good. But this time was just horrible. Well it was a busy Friday night and I was by myself so I decided to sit at the bar and watch the game. Service was prompt. Restaurant was very clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I had the Thai Chicken soup which tasted like every other soup of the same and then I had a steak stir fry bowl which hit the spot and was delicious. Came here to celebrate a friends birthday which was ruined by the poor service received by the staff here. We waiting over 30 minutes to be seated but we were patient and finally found a hostess to greet us. Many staff were behind the bar and seem to be drinking but we never complained about the unreasonable wait considering it wasn't a busy night. Then we finally ordered after waiting quiet some time for the waitress to arrive. Of course our meals never arrived and we politely asked the waitress how much longer it would be. She told us not much longer. Instead of the food arriving, the manager on duty Spencer aggressively came at our table and accused us of yelling at his staff and treating them badly. While he was going off on us the food came but our appetites were ruined by his attitude and false accusations. As well all the meals were incorrect which seemed intentional considering Spencers rant. It was a joke. He refused to correct the meals to what we actually ordered. We walked out and were not impressed with the service we were recieving and he continued to tell us that the food arrived and we had to pay. Why would we pay for this type of service and for incorrect food (all food was prepared incorrectly and even brought out something completely different then what was ordered). We realized Spencer and his staff did this intentionally to us. Spencer ruined my friends birthday and embarrassed us immensely. I've visted other Browns Social locations and have had great experiences and recommend dining anywhere but here. Spencer is a horrible manager as he allows his staff to not work, drink on the job and most importantly treat paying customers horribly.

first time at this location we went around 1 and their were only a few people in the restaurant we were seated right away waitress amanda was excellent filled our water whenever it was low I ordered the quesadilla without black beans it was ok I guess because I ordered without the beans it was very very thin really nothing in it the fries were very good it did come with sour cream quac and pico I wouldnt order again just because 16.95 is way to much money for what you get we also had the crispy chicken sandwich for 16.95 and it was excellent large crunchy chicken breast with bacon and cheese in a super soft tasty bun. that was the star for sure as well as the waitress only put off but not a huge deal was a girl was scraping gunk off from under the table while we were eating since the restaurant was dead she could of scraped other table

I am sharing my dining experience with all the vegetarians so that they are aware that the fries that come with the vegetarian burger is fried in the same oil as they fry their fish in. I went with my family to have dinner last night at this location.My daughter and I are vegetarians.There's nowhere in the menu that it's indicated that or there's consumer alert that there could be traces of fish in your fries. I had ordered yam fries with my vegetarian burger. ItsI difficult to tell in low lighting that there is a piece of fish in your fries.I chewed it and then I realized it had a strong fishy taste.i immediately asked the waitress if they really do use the same oil for cooking fish and fries.she said that it is not True so I asked her to go and confirm with the chef.i think she went and told the manager.A few minutes later a different lady came to our table (I assumed that she was the manager). She said that she has confirmed with the chef and that it is TRUE, they do use the same oil for both, fish and fries.Even when you buy bread or chocolates the manufacturers always indicate that this product is manufactured in a facility where milk,nuts etc are used.That way the consumer is aware of it. All this lady said to me was sorry about this and could I offer you another order of fries.I have been vomiting since last night because mentally I felt sick just to think that I chewed a piece of fish.I work at a clinic close this location and many times we have ordered food from here for our lunch and learn program thinking that we are getting vegetarian food but that's not the case.This is not acceptable.We don't know what else they fry in the same oil as fry their fries in. I had an eye opening experience last night.

Food was decent. Service was horrible especially given the mandatory 15% tip that is included on your bill. Waitress did not come back to the table to check if our food was okay or if we needed anything during our meal. But she did come back when it was time to potentially increase her tip by trying to upsell us with coffee and dessert. I imagine that is why a tip should be at the discretion of the diner. That way servers have some incentive to actually do a good job. Will never eat at Browns Social House again.

Want here on Saturday afternoon at about 1:00 and I gotta I was surprised to see the place pretty quiet. Our server was prompt and quite good. The food came quick, which was nice. My husband and I have recently decided to stop going to Brown's as we have just had far too many sub par experiences there, and the food is becoming far to bland and overpriced for the quality. I used to love their chili lime fish sandwich for its bright flavour and freshness, but even that has become flavourless and is now sometimes presented in a giant sloppy unappetizing pile. Maybe there is a new chef that came with the new management? Service from the wait staff is hit and miss which may have been due to old management? The new manager Chris is a very nice guy and quick to correct situations but that only helps so much when the food is still blah. The atmosphere is extremely dark and abnoxiously loud and disorienting. We just decided that this place is not worth the effort/price and doesn't live up to the hype. All bark, no bite.

Wow is the least that I can say. After a hard day at work my friend and I visited Browns and were impressed by the whole atmosphere. Even the hostess was personable and confident, which I rarely experience in service industry anymore. After we ordered nachos the manager says we were waiting too long and covered our nachos, we didn’t think it was too long a wait on a Saturday night. The kitchen was busy so when my friend’s main course came out and I had my soup way before but waited for his meal, they gave me another soup, fresh. Brenna was our awesome server and just was so professional and courteous which I don’t see from young ladies anymore, like at “Cactus Bar,” sorry :). Brenna your team and your establishment was out of site and every restaurant could learn from you!

Came to this restaurant for the first time. Restaurant is clean and staff is friendly. I ordered the beef noodle bowl, but substituted the beef for tofu. Also ordered the veggie burger which came with a side of fries. The food was very tasty and delicious. I liked that the restaurant is vegetarian friendly and was able to accommodate my requests. Tried the brownie for dessert. Was not a big fan of it. Although it was decadent, I did not like the texture of the brownie. Had a slight gritty taste to it and was a mix between a mousse and cake texture but more towards the mousse side. Maybe it had to do with being gluten free. I did feel like the meals were overpriced for the quantity recieved

I came here a few times over the past year. Very clicky crowd of regulars that staff and the manager swoon over and kiss their feet like they are the queen of England. Not very welcoming to outsiders. Regulars make you feel uncomfortable like you are invading their territory. Their main God is some old man named Rob.My suggestion is to avoid the bar area if you feel like you need to come to this location. Also dont orderany dish containing beef because it's always chewy like shoe leather. Manager Chris Watts is moody and likes to think he is always right.

Ever since Browns the chain became super popular I noticed the service go way down at most locations. However, I've been to this location a few times and was actually pleasantly surprised. The service was better than anywhere I've been to in a long time, and I always enjoy the Browns food. Didn't give it 5 stars because they took away all the pizzas that were my favourites. Very clean location and lots of parking. Great option for the North Delta, Surrey area for a date night or a nice lunch.

Super close to home which is great, and the service has always been excellent. We went last night, and I had the fish tacos which I were delicious, however my husband had the fish and chips, which he has ordered before, and they were subpar - a bit soggy and cold fries. He ate it anyways because it was busy and he's not one to complain. When the waitress came around again, we did mention it, not at all looking for anything out of it, simply wanting to inform the kitchen that they didn't do their best on that dish. The waitress said it wasn't acceptable, and talked to the newer manager/owner who came over and took the fish & chips off our meal. He was extremely kind and we more than appreciated the gesture. Now that's what I call customer service! We will definitely keep coming back ????

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night, only 3 other tables of people. Really dead. It was so dark inside with lights dim you could hardly read the menus Waited 15 minutes for drinks, watched bartender stack glasses then try to figure out how to make 2 drinks from the signature menu for 10 minutes. There was no reason the drinks should have taken so long, there was zero other orders at the bar cause it was so dead. Service super slow, waiters on his cellphone, food whatever (ordered Fettuccine, cheap store bought sauce would have been better. Chicken breast portion in full size was less than half a chicken breast , crispy wings were hardly crispy) Definately wouldn't come again, and would highly recommend anyone thinking about it against it.

So...wife wanted to try Brown's as it's just down the street from us in Delta. I'm not into these style of places as it's usually a pull up bar full of meat heads but she was buying. Get seated and I have to say the waitresses where a nice a change as they weren't the anorexic type found at Cactus club however that was it's only saving grace. Now, before I start I want to point out that I'm not going into this type of place with many exceptions; these places are the next rung up the ladder from McDonald's however this time McDonald's had it beat. Ordered a chicken salad and 2 plates of x2 street tacos and calamari. After 15 minutes 1 plate of taco's, my salad and the calamari all arrive at the same time...the squid was an appie so not sure what was up with that however we were still missing a plate of taco's which the guy had just plan missed as I had repeated the order to him., The taco's...let's just don't eat them here...they are 6-7 inchs long with a 3-4" piece of fish in it. It took my wife 3 bites just to get to the fish...at first she thought she had the wrong order as she thought they were veggie tacos... All in all I would have been better off at Cactus club that is 10 mins away for what I know is going to be something better than what this place calls food. I'm sorry but it really blew. I understand now why the chain grew so fast, the taco's were $14 and there was about $1 in fish and .55 cents in shell and greens...If you're making 800% profit on your meals you're selling it's no wonder...I mean they didn't even come with a side or anything and you can get a whole mean for the same price ANYWHERE ELSE and have a meal.

Was very happy with the take-out offered by Browns though Skip! We have tried a wide variety of places during COVID, and Browns has one of the best takeout meals (For a more "corporate" place). We had Ramen, Tacos, and a Dragon Bowl. Everyone was very happy and the food was great! Warm and cooked to perfection. My only complaint is that when ordering through Skip for pickup, they will ask you for your order number (Not Name). A minor pain, but the staff was super helpful! Great Job Browns!

If you are vegetarian, try the dragon bowl! The dragon bowl was light and flavorful. The vegetables and tofu were seasoned well with the sauce used. We also had the nachos which did not disappoint but was not the wow factor for me. We finished with dessert- Oreo cheesecake. It was delicious and decadent. I'd come back for the bowl and dessert- of course! Atmosphere inside was nice as well- good place to go for a date or a birthday meal.

I am writing to air my complaints about what may possibly be the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I brought my family and friends to your establishment last night on Friday, Oct 21st around 10:30 pm after calling ahead to ensure there was no wait. The attitude we were shown by staff as well as the lack of communication spoiled the evening for my party. When ordering drinks, the drinks that were made at the bar came 15 minutes prior to a simple order of hot water, for my mother who was having an allergy attack. I had to ask two different waitresses twice in order to finally get the hot water, and when it arrived at the table, I did make a comment to the server about how long it had took; her response was to roll her eyes and exclaim “I had to make it myself.” I wonder how exactly one “makes hot water” at your establishment or if it is like every other restaurant that simply needed to put it in a teapot. At this point in time, we were frustrated with the service already. When it came time to order food, the waitress stood at one end of a six-seating bar table and yelled across to ask orders of those sitting on the far side. About 20 minutes after we had ordered, the waitress came back and informed us the kitchen had run out of quesadillas which was what my mother had ordered. There was no apology or alternative offered, and the waitress again rolled her eyes and asked if “we wanted a menu or something.” My mother was upset by this treatment and said she would just get a side of fries and was no longer interested in ordering something more. Our food finally came after a very long wait and yet my mother’s food as well as one of my other guest’s food was cold. As we explained this to the waitress, she shouted across the table and my mother let her know she couldn’t hear her from that distance. The waitress, instead of moving, shouted back “well I can’t hear you either.” She argued back and forth and finally came around to offering to have the dishes remade, I asked her if she could come around the table so we could better hear her but she stormed off, leaving us speechless. She informed the manager that we were unhappy without us even having to ask to speak with a manager. The manager approached us and did apologize but ultimately let the same waitress come back and finish serving our table, something that we were appalled at. I have worked as a waitress and I have worked in customer service my entire life and never have I ever been treated so poorly. The manager did take care of the three drinks that were ordered by my party and offer us $5 off coupons for our next visit, but this was not enough to incentivize any of us to return to this establishment. I was physically upset by the waitress’s treatment of my party and she not only completely spoiled our evening, but my appetite as well. I was truly embarrassed to have suggested your establishment as a place for my group to dine at and will know better in the future.

Was a nice place. Our servers where great, although there weren't many people there. Ordered two appetizers and some pitchers. The social lager is fairly good. Food tastes great. Not really my type of pub atmosphere wise, but does have a great atmosphere for those into it.

Clean restaurant. Great friendly and attentive staff. Caesar used to be good, ordered it with tequila instead of vodka, won't be doing that again here. Ordered a chicken bowl with stir fried veggies, cabbage and yogourt...left me with an upset stomach hence 4 stars out of 5. I think that's a fair score.

It was my favorite place to go but not anymore. They have changed owners, changed the food, most of the regular staff has left and no wonder. We were there last week,the service was terrible, the food was worse, I am just glad I it wasn't a business lunch.

As a couple, as a family or as a group of friends, we love Browns in Sunshine Hills! The food is always timely, tasty and high quality. The staff are friendly and attentive and the teens in our home enjoy the atmosphere - even with parents there!
