Service was slow, perch had bones in it and I wasn't even asked if I'd like to order something else from the kitchen. When i told one of the servers about the bones , i and asked that it be removed from my bill, we barely saw either of them again. The cutlery was plastic and in a bucket with our empty ketchup bottle.

The view is gorgeous and the food is excellent ! The waitresses are very nice and make you feel welcome all the time and you can tell they enjoy working there. The owner is amazing, it seems like he's always there and improving the restaurant continuously. He's a dedicated family man but realizes how important it is to bond with his customers and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome ! There's daily specials on the menu as well as beer specials. They have a great selection of whiskey which is very important to me . I always enjoy the view of the lake and refreshing breeze on the patio. ????????

Avoid the ribs unless you have a jackhammer to tear them away from the bone and a tall drink to wash down the one or two bites you'll try before giving up. Sent the first order back, second order came out in 3 minutes and no better. I suspect rib night was 6 nights ago. Others in my party of 7 enjoyed their meals. Cook should apologize to the pig that died in vain.

Used to be my favourite place to eat! But unfortunately, you are not welcome if you are not liked by any of the staff.. very opinionated place. Awful for customer service! My nephew found a screw in his food once! We were not impressed... but mistakes DO happen I suppose. If customer service was better, I'd give it another chance! Went there years ago for work. Promised the lovely waitress who stayed open late to entertain to American drifters just passing through. We took shots and talked Trump and watched the Eagles lose to the Seahawks back in 2017. My buddy walked outside and couldn't find the main door back in. Insanity. A night to remember to forget. Our brief foray into a foreign country was deliciously delightful. Hopefully local Brad and the strawberry blonde waitress are still there living the dream

Exactly what you want in a sports bar. The food is solid (actually better than solid - quite good in fact) the service is prompt and the drinks are cold. The interior is comfortable and boasts almost 2 dozen flat screen TV's - a sports fanatic's dream. I know the owners personally and couldn't be happier with their success with Don Cherry's Sports Grill restaurant. Tim and Alda have worked extremely hard to make their business shine - and it shows. I wish them nothing but the best. Keep up the great work.

Like the real character: not impressed... There were multiple Issues with the kitchen: food was overcooked. Asked for medium-rare steak, got well done, ribs were hard as shoe soles, fries were cold. The service was adequate, ambiance was ok and they took good measures for distanciation.

It would be 5 stars, but it is hard to say that it is excellent while the lobby and restaurant is being rebuilt. That said, the staff is doing a great job of handling things while a construction project goes on around them. Very friendly. The rooms are comfortable, and even though they are only about 50 feet from the Canadian Pacific Railroad mainline, you can barely hear them going past - there are two sets of double-pane windows to keep the sound out, and they work exceptionally well. If you want to try something special, check out the rooms in the railroad card out back. Cranbrook is a nice town as well.

We did love coming here for wing night. Wings are the best! Met some family that night but showed up later. We're sitting at a table for 6 just my brother and I. Every drink we needed to go to the bar and when we ordered we also had to go to the bar. Nursing our drinks all night and waiting for service!!! A waitress came to our table to tell us she needed us to move to another table because a group was coming in that takes this table ever other Tuesday. We were directed to a different 6 chair table in a not as nice spot. I put up a bit of a fight but my brother prefers to not make waves and just never go back.......... ever..... The food is alright. It's your standard pub grub fare. I will say however that over the last while the food has seen a big upgrade. The fish and chips used to be soggy and gummy. Now it's crispy and crunchy. The view of this place is what makes it. Have a seat on the patio whenever possible. Avoid this place on game nights or fight nights. It gets super crowded; unless you're into that sort of thing.

If I wanted to listen to music instead, I would have chosen a club. Just odd to observe the culture was geared towards listening to music than to sports.

Last 2 experiences with Don Cherrys have been horrible. One time they took over 2 hours to get my good delivered to my house, which is a 2 minute drive from them My last order tasted like it had sat on the counter for 12 hours. The new manager makes a big difference to the atmosphere and menu. The food was very good and brought out to us without much of a wait. The wraps are awesome and the view of the sun setting on the water from the patio deck makes it the perfect spot for a late dinner during the summer. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the Port Colborne area.

Visited yesterday Grey Cup, had the worst steak sandwiches my husband & I have ever been served, anywhere. Mine was to be medium and was medium rare, my husbands was to be medium rare and was blue rare. He had to return his to the kitchen & was given a different cut but was still blue rare, the 3rd time the waitress took only the steak back to the kitchen leaving my husband with cold fries & bread on his plate at the table. Once again the steak returned was the same, unedible & blue rare. With agreement & apologies the waitress removed it from our bill. We do not recommend the steak sandwich and may never revisit the pub. Very dissapointing!!

Stopped on our way through town. Exceptionally friendly staff, drinks fairly priced, and the locals/regulars were quite fun to chat with. There were some renovations going on but that didn't take anything away. We didn't eat there, but what I saw looked and smelled amazing, and it all seemed to go down quickly. Have not been here for several years, so I was pleasantly surprised. It is a sports bar. Good tv's, we able to watch both NFL and NBA games. We had chicken wings and the wings were very good. The service was outstanding, our waitress was refilling empty drinks before we realized the glasses were empty. She was very polite, professional and made you feel comfortable. I will be going back because of the quality service!

An hour and a half to get our meal.. which looked okay but felt like a boxed meal or Frozen.. we all felt terrible after we ate. one waitress did an amazing job but everyone else was totally incompetent I try not to say hurtful things about a place I visit but I would never go back there. Literally one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant everybody last night felt the same way people were walking out they were complaining but like I said one waitress tried so hard but they needed more staff. Unfortunately today with cerb maybe they just couldn't get the help with the girl said.. I think the owner needs to step it up and make the place feel better atmosphere

We arrived behind another party and since there was no hostess they seated themselves and we did as well. Almost 10 minutes later I finally got up and went to get some menus for ourselves. Returning to our table a waitress very rudely informed me that we were supposed to wait to be seated. She then offered to come take our drink orders shortly. We waited several more minutes while we listened to her chattering to the one other party of locals that was seated on the patio. She finally came over to take our drink order and then disappeared for another 10 minutes. Thankfully another server noticed us sitting there with no food or drink and very cheerfully came to check on us. While we were placing our order with her, our original server came with our drinks and slid them onto the table and disappeared without an apology. Our new server made up for the first one and was very happy to serve us and got us our food very quickly. The food was great. Unfortunately this is at least the 3rd time we have had an experience like this and so we will again avoid coming here for quite a while.

Food was not bad but the service omg It was not busy and it took 1 1/2 hours for 5 of us to eat. When I finally got the bill she gave me the credit card machine and left. The other couple was so upset with what was going on that they just threw some cash on the table and left. I might add that we were both dumb enough to still leave a decent tip but don't worry we will never be back and will definitely never recommend the place to anyone.

This is Brads wife lol...my first experience with Don Cherry’s Grill...I was totally disappointed!!..we ordered it to be delivered and were seriously overcharged!!!...I asked for 1 extra chicken strip in my order as I was sharing with another ....they charged me 6.99 and it did not come in the order. We asked for chicken strips and cherry chips so they sent us the full chicken strip meal with fries plus the cherry chips which was not what we wanted. There was a long black hair in the food and they charged us 3.75 for a can of pop!!...Three of us ordered lunch and it was 91.00!!!...The delivery charge was 5.00. I called to voice my concern and no offer to rectify anything!!!...the food was good but because of that I will never go back ????????????

Used to get Don Cherrys at least once a week. Unfortunately the last little while it's gone down hill. Tonight we ordered fish and chips and a quesadilla. It was AWFUL. We had ordered gravy got home there was none. No salsa or sour cream for the quesadilla. Our quesadilla was cold and only had one type of cheese and little bit of cold chicken. My husband called and spoke to "Dave" who was down right ignorant with him. Told him the things he missed and all we got from Dave was want to come get your gravy in a mocking voice. Not once an apology or an attempt to rectify the situation. And to cap things off when I went to pick up the food I waited over ten minutes at the counter while both kitchen staff looked at me and just walked away and Dave stood out on the outdoor patio socializing while my food was there getting cold. The entire situation is unacceptable. We will never be ordering from there again. I'm pretty sure Don Cherry would be appalled to see how this restaurant is run.

Husband and I went last night we had a terrible time we ended up getting take out trays cause we couldn’t stand sitting there swatting fruit flies all night, the waitress was horrible didn’t write down any of our order and we’ll got it wrong our deep fried smelts were terrible under cooked we only got half our order of wings gave chocolate milk instead of a milk shake cause she couldn’t remember because she didn’t write it down and to top it off when we asked for take out trays because the fruit flies were horrible she then threw it on our table so no tip for her and we will never return.

Food was ok. Not worth the 50 dollars I spent but you pay for convenience. What bothered me was the waitress assumed my mother was over 55 and gave her a senior discount....call me old fashioned but thats extremely insulting. There are ways of finding out if someone is over 55. For example; just mention we have a discount for seniors. If someone at the table wishes to reveal their age and save the 4 dollars then they will. But I bet ya most people will just pay the 4 bucks. It's the little things that make a business thrive, being in parry sound customer service should be your number 1 priority. We will pay more to be treated like friends and family not another "senior" walking in. I encourage people to not take my word for it but to see for themselves. This was just my experience. Stopped in yesterday for the first time in a couple months.. seemed unusually empty for Saturday around dinner time.. beer was good and cold !! Food was fresh and came out quick. The negative was slow service the servers spent more time talking than serving!!!!our server explained the happy hour specials as we paid??. Lots of choices to drive past to get to Don Cherry's. Should bring back the 2 for 1 appys on Saturday, the place was packed back then.

I might have gotten unlucky but the shear amount dirt that was on my salad is unacceptable. I had stomach ache after few hours and had to use washroom twice. I ordered caesar salad instead of fries with great north something burger and there was significant amount of dirt on salad... on multiple leaves. I talked to the waiter and he took a look and said 20% off but truth be told, I paid $3.40 extra for switching fries with salad. And the burger combo was $16. Which means I got charged for portion of salad which I didn't get to eat much. I didn't have enough time to deal with this problem so I let it go but seriously they didn't wash their lettuce properly. From the amount of dirt that was on it, I doubt they even washed it. Which makes me question if the food handling was done properly... Good try on trying to make up for it but would should have just charged me for burger and coke only. Even then, I don't want to eat here even if I was hungry. I rather eat at a hot dog stand. Not to mention the food prices were really really high for what they provided. Burger tastes great but after tasting the dirt, never again...

If I could put 0 stars I would. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS!!! Terrible service, served meat to a vegetarian and when asked to fix it, waited over an hour for it not to come and then decided we did not want to wait any longer so left. Got a "discount" on the incorrect order that was not able to be eaten. Service was absolutely terrible, people that came in after us left before us. When we asked to speak to the manager they said "they are busy so you can leave or wait for them." After 30 minutes of waiting for the manager we got up, paid for a meal that couldn't be eaten and left because we could not stay in that environment any longer. To top it off, only one employee in the entire restaurant was wearing a mask. When asked why they aren't wearing masks the waitress said "they have COPD and Asthma." It is hard to believe that all of the 6 other employees have one of those diagnoses, however it is "possible," I guess. It is sad to see this because I have been going to the other location of Don Cherry's for years but ever since it moved (and I am assuming got new owners) it has gone completely downhill. I will NEVER return here, and will tell all my friends to avoid at all costs.

Came to the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon with a large group with a reservation. The restaurant was dirty and old, with spider webs all over the inside windows and walls, and dirty cutlery. The food was poor quality for the price, mushy veggies that are obviously frozen and fruit flies in the drinks. Servers were not friendly or overly helpful to our busy group with children. Food came out at different times with the first group paying for their food and another group of people just getting their food to start to eat. Disappointed that such a beautiful location on the lake is wasted on this place.

I'm not a fan of the brand, but it was the only place in town that was open on Friday evening (of all days, come on Parry Sound). The service was selective, the establishment clearly favours their regulars over strangers passing by. In my opinion this is poor customer service. You treat customers the same, regardless of your varying comfort levels with people. The table right next to us was getting regular visits from the server, striking up small talk, asking if they need water. I had to get up and walk to the bar area at some point to look for ours. The menu was disappointing. Full of carbs and fatty red meat, minimal vegetables on offer, very unhealthy options. The food prices are decent for this type of restaurant, however value for money is lacking as the food was extremely salty and took a questionable amount of time to produce (labour shortage maybe? If so, pay your people more, not my problem). Overall poor experience, the place was otherwise clean. I will avoid going to any Don Cherry's in the future.

If I could rate this place a 0 I would. My husband and I came out for dinner. I got the 26$ salmon which was over cooked it came with cold fishy tasting rice I didnt eat and soaking wet flavorless luke warm veggies that very obviously came from a frozen bag, at 26$ I expect fresh veggies. So I didnt eat my rice or veggies choked down my rubbery fish. Left hungry of course. Oh but we bought an extra side of fries which were warm and tasted like fish go figure so I ate a few since i had no dinner to eat. After getting margaritas that had no flavor I guess we should have known to leave at that point but we didn't. Thankfully the waitress saved us the 3.99 for the gross fries we only ate a few of cuz 26.95 plus tax for the garbage salmon I had to choke down with no discount because I didnt send my fish back after waiting almost an hour to get my dinner in the first place because i guess i really wanted to watch my husband eat his food while i wait another 45-50 min for my next plate of garbage food they would be bringing out because im sure the rice and veggies would have been different right and the odds of the fish coming out properly the second time was slim to none.. We will never go back Oh and every table in the back dining area was filthy when we showed up at 5pm and no one was even sitting back there. And I didnt even get into my husbands dinner.. And the day he says he didnt enjoy the fish and fries is a sad day. Your food is garbage and way over priced.

Waitress does not know what she is doing all over the place. Did not get the right order asked to have it changed and she told me to pick around I do have allergies. Absolutely garbage service avoid at all cost a mcdonalds drive through saves you time and way less hassle free. Dont eat here!!!

Waitress was awesome. Fast, friendly and very helpful. However, we we're completely dissatisfied with our meal. Appitizer was decent and timely. However the main course was not. The wings were terribly dry and the ribs were so overcooked there wasnt any edible meat left on them. Will definelty not go back to this establishment which is disapointing becuz they used to have the best wings in town

If i could give ZERO stars I would. Do not go here unless you are local to the area or, believe me, you will be treated horribly. Waitresses seemed to be busy chatting in the corner while we sat and waited over an hour for our food (it was nothing crazy, just salads). The waitresses were also not wearing masks meanwhile we are in a GLOBAL PANDEMIC, which is not only disrespectful for customers, but also could potentially be harmful for our own health . I felt very disrespected and i encourage people to definitely stay away from this restaurant at all costs. Sad seeing this restaurant go to waste once they moved from the previous location.

I love their Irish Nachos! Pic attached. I couldn't eat it all so took the rest home. Also a pic of part of the menu. Goodmfood, good value. Has a patio if you want to eat outside and inside it has lots of big screens to watch sports shows. I have been there ovreweight ten times and not been disappointed yet. Not gourmet, but good food.
