Best concert ever for Special Olympics!

Good sound... Seats are well worn and saggy

Good shows and not a bad seat anywhere

Cute & Quaint

Michael Heydon

Fun place to watch shows with family and friends. If a show is particularly popular, the front lobby gets crowded to the point where you can't get in. Once you're in though the staff are friendly and helpful. The seats could be a little more comfortable though, especially since longer shows can get tiresome on your back.

Very cool

Amazing little theatre.

Leanne Ryder

A wonderful theater, no bad seat in the house. Absolutely enjoyed "Once Upon a Mattress"

Camille Soper

Nice theatre for plays or formal events, I've been here for music concerts and it tends to be awkward. The band's trying to get the audience pumped up but the general atmosphere has always been that you're supposed to remain seated. Too formal a location for musical acts like rock bands or the like.

Andrew Saowapon

Nice homey feel to this theatre.

Carla Brown

Awesome place to see a concert or theater play.

This is an excellent theatre from all aspects.

Shannon Francis

Great show first timer for me !

Shawn H

Beautiful theater that offers a wide variety of fantastic shows.

Paul Sture

Small, uncomfortable seats, and feels like it could collapse at any moment. You can't completely see over the row in front of you. But I'm sure with some proper renovations it could look really good.

Nick “Nickname” Name

I love this place. I take my family every new years eve for the performance. Will miss out this year due to covid 10.

Sid the whale was awesome. So was Mother mother!!

Melissa Bingham

Lovely small theatre with good acoustics, sight lines, and volunteer program. Easy access parking available on three sides of the building. Washrooms are small so there's lineups at breaks. They operate a small bar before and at intermission on many productions. Although wheelchair and walker accessible, that space is limited and at the back of the theatre and often requires accompanying patron to sit behind the person in the wheelchair or elsewhere in the theatre depending on how many accessibility spaces have been requested.

Tracey Simons

Saw only 1 play, but it was a very nice experience

Alan P

A great local venue showcasing a wide variety of performances to satisfy everyone's tastes.

Saw mother mother perform here; Wicked show. The staff are awesome and the venue is decent. My only complaint is the seats are kinda awful, however I did spend most of the evening up front dancing so I guess it was a bit of a moot point.

Welcomed by great volunteers, friendly and inviting atmosphere. Small theater though it offers a diversity of offerings throughout the year while still giving time by supporting local talent and and students in the performance arts.

Live theatre from youngsters learning their craft. What's not to like????

Neil Nahirnick

Great little theatre. I opted for the premium seats for a show recently, but it's such a small & well laid out theatre that I don't think there are any "bad" seats. Covid protocols followed & enforced (like screening for covid passports & going up to ppl seated to ask them to put their masks back up if they forgot). One negative, not a lot of bathrooms on the upper floor (main floor). Only a one-room accessible washroom & a couple stalled women's washroom. 2 older gentlemen had to each wait for the accessible washroom due to the lack of a men's washroom.

Warren Janes

A great venue for both local and touring performances at reasonable prices, including the beverage bar

Black Fox

The seats are old and way too low to get up easily

Leif Jason

I've been to a number of concerts, documentary films and live theater productions there. The theater has great acoustics, a very intimate venue also boasting a small balcony. Most of the staff are volunteers, friendly, and helpful. However, they don't allow one to bring in their own water bottle and I refuse to buy bottle water.

Always a pleasure . Back to a live show ( missing the smooching with the other patrons and the intermissions)

Derek Spencer

Saw Hotel California tonight, great sound, great tribute band. The problem are the seats, I was on the balcony, my seat measured 17", very very tight, the rows behind me were 19". Yes I actually measured during intermission I was that uncomfortable. No cup holders. $3.00 for a carton of really bad tasting water that is from Ontario not BC, support our province Sid Williams Theatre. It was unbearably hot with a full crowd turn on the A/C. I got a conformation email stating the show would be 2 hours 50 minutes it was under 2 hours. I feel ripped off, I paid full price for a smaller uncomfortable seat with a shorter concert than promised. Very disappointing, I won't be back even if I was given tickets for free.

Great small town venue..... There really is no bad seat, even the worst seat in the house has a great view of the stage and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's as if they wanted to be there to help you enjoy the experience more......

Lana Harach

It depends what you're there for whether the space is "fun" or not. Staff is reliable, seating is okay, tho there are blind spots, sound is good.

This particular experience truly was what we believers call, Magical. DEC 2 locals dressed up in magic hats and conductors for the Alllll Aboardddd Magical Polar Express. This was our first family outing with our new baby girl. An 8 month old. We were greeted outside with such love and warmth. And that continued on the inside. We truly felt like we were in the storybook itself. The Spirit of xmas and love and magic was alive at this cherished theater. We drove in from Nanaimo and glad we did. Thank you so much people who put on this event. You made us dreamy new parents experience the best ever new tradition (we hope to re experience) year after year. You did remarkable!

I've enjoyed a variety of shows at the Theatre, ranging from Parents & Kids movie night, to comedy, to trade shows, to dance performances. The Sid is a remarkable establishment for an urban area of this population. It definitely contributes to the 'interestingness' of the Comox Valley, and allows for high quality performances year round. Whether you're visiting the valley, or live here, check out their upcoming events! And thank goodness their online seating and ticketing solution was recently upgraded and works great now. The only improvements I might make would be a more robust refreshments area, and better thought out restroom facilities, however those are relatively small things.

Well you have to visit the Sid! There's always something to see, and we've been privileged to see Stuart McLean (of the Vinyl Cafe) here twice, as well as other famous bands like Jesse Cook (twice so far). They also host all the local Dance Studios' yearly events, and our favourite is Pantuso Dance's Groove event in May.

Tried to buy tickets online, terrible seating selection process (Told me there were no seats in that area available, even though by selecting a different option there were. And did not show all the seats available.) I'm from out of town and picking up "Will Call" tickets during office hours is very inconvenient. Would be nice to print out tickets from home. Would not let me mail tickets even though there was still more than 10 business days. I did not end up going because of all these inconveniences.
