Prices are typical of a small brewhouse so a bit pricey but that's what we expected. Food was tasty but portions were a bit small. Loved that we could take the dogs.

I'm a local and I like my beer. I've deleted my review from their 1st opening to this. By far the best brewers in the Valley. Others in the Valley have 1 or 2 I like, this place has more. Their food menu while not huge, the option are tasty. And 1/2 potions are available. I love the flatbread, but don't pass up one of the wraps. Other reviews said food is expensive. I totally disagree, they must not have eaten out lately. Its fresh, prices start at around $13 for a meal, with add on option from there. They have 2 patios of which 1 allows dogs. Lots of parking. Tell them Axle sent you.

Was very dissatisfied with the Donair Nachos today. Very little toppings and cheese was borderline burnt. Not worth the $19 + $4 for salsa/sour cream. Had them in the past and they were excellent, double the size and had more toppings! Not sure what happened, but very disappointed!!

Beer was tasty. Food was underwhelming. The $12 pulled pork tacos dish was tiny, and dry, possibly due to a few pieces of sauceless pork and a a little bit of cheese sprinkled over what seemed like a small bag of chips. The Reuben sandwich was better but the bread fell apart. Would only return for the the beer.

*edited** For a small brewery, they are generous! Beers are cheap, food portions are more than you would expect! Moved to Courtenay recently and very happy with this little find! Almost dropped this a few stars after I ordered the seared tuna wrap. A load of bread with what can only be described as a peasants portion of fish. Pretty poor effort. I still rate this place, the tuna wrap is just abit insulting Also need to say, beer selection is not great and nothing on top is particularly good

Came to Ace for the first time and I don’t usually post reviews...ever, but this was a bit of a let down. The beer was warm and flat, we ordered food and paid $14 for a mushroom Mac and cheese special and received what looked like a kids serving of macaroni noodles with hardly any cheese and two slices of mushroom. I know it’s relatively new but I hope you guys can nail the food and serve cold beer it’s in a great location and would love to come back and see an improvement.

Love this brewery! The beers are good, they have live music nights, and a large outdoor patio. Staff are always very friendly and the nachos are delicious.

The food and beer is always delicious. But the service was absolutely terrible. We waited quite awhile to have our food ordered, finally had to go up to the counter . When our food did come, the chef did not ring the bell. Our food sat there for minutes as the staff continued to chat with the customers and not bring our food. Super disappointed. They also didn’t bring us napkins with our food... I mean come on ... it’s a hot dog.

Come for great beers and food too! The kitchen menu is excellent - a good mix of snacks and mains to go with your booze. Includes a healthier selection of salads, bowls and options for gluten free etc. We had the special nitro stout donuts and they were amazing!

We came here from out out town and expected a lot more. The food was awful and the service appalling. The staff seemed very rude and it ruined our night. I will not be returning.

Probably the best selection of excellent beers in town, especially Jet Fuel! But honestly there is not a bad beer on the menu.

Lovely setting but we have found time and time again the staff to be awful. We went to a music evening and found the event organizer to be highly unprofessional and rude. Its a shame as this one interaction in a small town has made us not want to return. We believe some training may be beneficial here.

The transformation from car dealership to craft brewery has been fantastic! The room is nice and inviting (particularly like the little social gathering area off to the side if you're looking for a cozier space to have a pint). Beautiful bar area and aesthetic. Particularly love the mixture of stainless steel for the bar area. Just gorgeous. 8 beers on tap at opening. Kept going back to the Pale Ale & Blonde IPA. Looking forward to seeing how this place progresses down the road. Also, not a bad deal that it's a stones throw from home.

These guys legit have the best beer on Vancouver Island. Definitely go here if you like beer. I stopped by randomly on a bike trip to the north of the island and had to load up on 4 packs to bring with me. Trust me. Give the hazy IPA a try.

The beer was great, the food is VERY limited and very small portions. We ordered the chips and chilli I think we got the end of the bag, mostly small bits not at all what we expected in quantity. The waitress was super friendly but never brought napkins with our food or coasters for the beers, so must be a newbie to the service world. We will go back for beers, but skip if we are peckish or straight up hungry.
