We came for an early dinner and had great service throughout the night. I ordered the special for the night (3 course: chicken taquitos, beef burrito / nachi chips, and spicy chocolate ganache churos) and I'd venture to say that was the best mexican food I've ever had at a non-mexican restaurant. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this place for a great meal! We stopped in to check out their weekly feature sheet with gourmet burgers. I ordered the teriyaki chicken on a ramen noodle "bun" and hubby had the duck burger on a duck fat doughnut. After one bite of his duck burger we switched as it was so amazing I had to finish his! The food here is so good. The service was great even though they were very busy. Definitely worth checking out if you are downtown but it is also worth the drive across town!

I love my visits to the Wellington! I'm a huge fan of the deep fried pickles and the ceasars! Laura-Lee and Zach are always amazing servers. The doughnut hole is a really awesome addition! I love that they do paint nights, karaoke, live music nights, etc..

Went for a Shared Birthday dinner with my mom. Absolutely Amazing Locally Sourced and Hand-craft Food at Great Prices. Friendly Outgoing Servers. Great Caesars, Cocktails, Martinis. The Chef came to personally check if we enjoyed our meal(s). Great specials almost every night of the week. Live Piano on Thursday Evenings with Trevor McDonald. Whats not to love?! -- 6/5 --

This place needs improvement on their service & organization. 2nd time there so far, takes a long time to get drinks & food, so don't go hungry. Place was busy on a Friday evening, they didn't have our reservation that was made days in advance. Not sure how that got missed. Servers made an effort in trying to accommodate our large group & were friendly but seemed to be struggling to keep up with a full place. Maybe hire more staff ? Live music was great !

A lovely little gem found in the heart of Chilliwack. The menu is inspired by the deep South, from friend chicken to jambalaya. BBQ is also a big part of the menu here. I was not disappointed with the food here at all. They also have live music here every night. The cozy environment lends well to a wonderful experience.

Apparently you can only order one chicken wing sauce per order. Lazy kitchen. Also, presenting the bill before we were finished was rather unprofessional.

Unfortunately this was our second visit here and again it was disappointing. I was advised to write a review in hopes that they would understand what is going on. This last trip, the service was not good by any means. The server seemed overwhelmed. She repeatedly allow our drinks to go empty and we had to flag here down a couple of times. She also got our order wrong and when it did arrive it was cold. I had ordered my steak sandwich rare to medium and when it arrived it was well down. I understand that they are going through a high turnover (new chef etc.) but they need to keep an eye on their staffing abilities and quality of service.

Had my Valentine's Day dinner there with my wife in February and it was great. Not too busy, but great service and amazing food. Relaxed atmosphere, not too fancy, but nice enough for a date or whatever and they have a great scotch list to boot!

Absolutely amazing! Went on a whim after hearing some good stuff on Facebook, and so glad we did. The food was amazing, our waitress went above and beyond, cannot rave more... Will for sure be going back, many more items on the menu we want to try ???? a well needed gem of a restaurant in downtown Chilliwack

The Wellington is located inside a Heritage building, in the city of Chilliwack. This place has a cozy setting and friendly staff. There is something here to eat for the biggest appetite to the regular. They believe in purchasing their products from the local community. A lot of the food is made fresh in house.

Went to the Wellington for the first time. So nice to hear vinyl while eating! Enjoyed the Old Yale Wheat beer. The grilled cheese sandwich was made with fresh sourdough bread, grilled, and bursting with cheese. The Mac and cheese wasn’t bad, be much better if it was baked. Overall, nice lunch, will return next time in Chilliwack

Absolutely LOVE the Wellington Local House. We were in twice this week. First was on on wing Wednesday. Had amazing smoked wings and the hot sauce is soooo hot!!! The wings are different then anywhere else as they smoke them and do not use breading. I eat a lot of wings and these are hands down the yummiest and hottest around. Went last night and had the burger special which was delicious. (Only $10) You can tell it is a real burger with fresh meat. My partner had wings and pizza and both were delicious. Both times the live music and service were outstanding. Highly recommend. This place is a gem in Chilliwack and has a cool vibe. Look forward to returning and bringing more friends.

I recently visited The Wellington after not having been there for a few months and was very disappointed. The music playing was country and extremely quiet for a restaurant. Apparently they aren’t allowed to change the music?? I thought that was strange. The Montreal smoked meat used to be delicious! It is absolutely not the same quality anymore. Tough to chew and fatty. Gravy was watery. Wings were over cooked and dry. Our server was amazing, attentive and not annoying. The bartender cAme by our table to talk to us which I thought was a little strange as our server had just spoke to us. Definitely won’t return unless there is new kitchen staff because our food was that bad :(

It is very difficult to get to this venue if you are not very familiar with the odd layout of the Chilliwack streets. Do not rely on the navigation software to find this address, it took us to the entirely wrong area of town.

Food and beer was good but the music was ALL NEW COUNTRY. Nothing ruins an atmosphere like country music. I even asked the waitress if they change it but her manager said no. And we were the only table I the place! Sorry Wellington but I can’t return.

I’ve been trying to find a pub in Chilliwack that I like enough to go back to again and again. And I’ve finally found it at The Wellington. The food is wonderful, and the staff are attentive and know everything on the menu. I really enjoy that they have so many local food suppliers and have them listed on the wall.

The food there is amazing. I don't understand why it's not busier. It is an absolute gem for downtown Chilliwack. My colleagues and I regularly eat there. The prices are very good considering the quality of food. The servers are always friendly and generally quite attentive to your needs. I would highly recommend it.

Quirky pub. Families allowed till 10. Eclectic southern inspired food. All dishes were great. Live music was excellent. Not overpowering during dinner so that conversation could occur. Zack was a great server!!!

I am quite disappointed with the menu selection :( I used to go there 3 or 4 years ago, and it was delicious then with their stuffed yorkies w/prime rib roast!!! And nachos were to dye for. Sadly there are no nachos :( . Was shocked to recieve the poutine as cubed hashbrowns basically. The gravy was cold, and she did try to correct and warm it up and give me more gravy, but then it was just cold more gravy. I hope the menu gets better and tastier.

First time customer and was very pleased. Loved the home made creamed corn with Buttermilk Fried Chicken. The Ceasar salad with chicken was great. Drinks were good and atmosphere was very comfortable. Some great history in that old building. Will return.

Amazing food!! We had the beef dip, the 50/50 burger and beignets... And wanted to order more to go. The beef dip didn't even need au jus to be juicy and flavorful, and I was ready to marry the beignets. Thanks for a great evening!

Very disappointed. My dinner was cold and for a 20.00 dinner I don't think boneless chicken thighs is the best choice. One piece at least could be a breast. Cheapest cut of chicken and the one I can't stand. The owner offered to cook me another one to take home. After telling her I dont like thighs why would I want another dinner the same. Also the way the veggies etc were served was weird... Corn on the plate mashed potatoes on that then gravy. Not my idea of good serving. No we won't be going back. Incidentally she could have taken my dinner off the bill when I didnt want a other.

I really wanted to LOVE this place...I really did. First time I took my son and daughter and were told, we're out of this and out of that and out of this too. I though, ok...not a good start. Ordered 3 Caesars......we're told, "no Clamato". "We can make it with V8 or Tomato Juice". Ok....so basically a Bloody Mary then? lol. Anyway...finally found something to order that WAS on the menu. Chicken strips were AMAZING. Rest was pretty good too and heck...even the Clamato-less Caesars were good. A week later, I decided to take my wife there and give the place another chance. Sandwich board outside says, "All you can eat Salad Bar and Soup" PEREFCT! We go in. I see a VERY small buffet table (3 feet long) with what looks to be an attempt at a salad bar, and suspiciously approach to have a look. One soup. Salad bar? Uhhhhh no. Kale or spinach...no lettuce (doesn't salad involve lettuce?) Rest of "salad" bar? cucumbers, dressing and little else. Pathetic. Good news...chicken strips were great once again. Sigh. Sorry folks, but excuses about how the chef couldn't get the shopping done for the day's menus, doesn't cut it. Especially two weeks in a row. UPDATE: Based on the offer to contact him, I sent TWO emails to Joel, but never received a a follow-up. Not surprising of course, as often these replies are an attempt to appease the reviewer and gives the impression to the reader of the review, that something will be done.

Kind of a gamble. First time I went, the burger I received was the best I've had in town. Come back a few months later and order the same burger. It was barely edible. If you like to gamble on your food, I guess it's worth a shot.

Enjoyed our evening last night with a packed house and live music. Been here several times. Tap selection was excellent until they started running out of some taps. Then it was just really good. It was busy so I can't fault them... service was hood as usual. Unfortunately, we ordered a margarita pizza. The dough was under cooked and the sauce was simply canned tomatoe sauce. No herbs in the sauce and no basil on top. Blah. Will go back for the live music. Might have to order something else next time.
