There is another Dixie Lee down the road. Don't be fooled. THIS IS the good one. Good food, service, atmosphere. THE OTHER one was dark, sad and made me feel like I was in the bad part of town. Food was dry, bland and staff were the same. Honestly thought all Dixie Lees were just like THAT ONE. Gladly they are not. THIS ONE was good.

Just ate here with my hubby, who grew up eating Dixie Lee in NB as a kid. Our order took way longer, as people before and after us got their meals. Couldn't help but notice the other customers were French whereas we spoke only English to the staff. Our food arrived hot which was great, but the battered fish hubby remembered was worse than breaded frozen fish at the grocery store. It smelled very fishy. My clams were sandy throughout. Altogether a disappointing experience when we hoped for nostalgia.

The food was amazing and I knew Dixie Lee's can be slightly different depending on location but I have never had an au jus included with my meal, in fact I've never been to any other location that even offers it. The staff are great obviously this is a french area but they were perfectly bilingual. I watched the front staff ( it was a busy Friday night) and we were each in turn grated with a fairly all inclusive Âllo and then were served in what ever language the customer responded. Even though a leak time waiting times were very short and they food nicely cooked. The place was very clean. Highly recommend.

This Dixie Lee in Beresford is the best. Staff are friendly!! No complaints.. Although I will say I wont be back to the one in Bathurst their chicken is so greasy and undercook and the fish we got about a month ago it was disgusting wasnt even cooked properly..
