Nice spot. Service was slow and forgetful though. Had to flag down for every order, and several guests were missed or forgotten at every round. Not a large table but maybe eight of us. Probably won't go out of my way to go back but i won't argue with someone suggesting it either.

Popped in for Sunday lunch - as an expat this place has a nice British countryside pub feel. Staff were friendly, food was very good (baked Brie starter and Yorkshire pudding / roast beef main). Would come again!

Thank you to our server Donna, who made my elderly parents so happy with her good humour, patience, and kindness. The food is traditional English pub fare, nicely done, and the servings are very generous. The prices are quite reasonable and there is live entertainment every Thursday and Saturday. I loved our outing here and would love to go back anytime I visit Cambridge.

I didn't find the food very good. I had the fish and chips. The fish was very chewy. The waitress was very nice but service was kind of slow but I think she was by herself so probably not her fault. Sat on the patio it was nice.

I took my sister there for her birthday. The dry wings were amazing, service was great and the live music was at a good volume. As she and her husband live in the area, this is the pub they go to on date nights and I go to whenever I'm in Cambridge. It's a great place to chill after work!

The Black Badger has a lot of character and a great drink menu. The atmosphere is very relaxed and has no dress code. Expect lots of loud chatter and the occasional live band. Serving staff are attentive, polite, and courteous. This is a good venue for a couple drinks with friends.

English style pub with the largest patio downtown galt. Service is generally pretty good. The bar is small and it can take awhile to get a drink on a busy night but it's to be expected. Live music on some nights through the week it's pretty good.

Holy horrible service batman! My buddy and I were served three pints of stale beer. When we returned them the blond waitress got annoyed with us. She actually cut my buddy off for returning his stale pint of beer! I guess we were supposed to happily drink our stale beer. When I left I told her "I wouldn't be back" and she replied "Perfect." Go to the Fiddle and Firkin in Preston.

Great atmosphere, service and the food is to die for. Had the fish and chips. Made with actual cod filets, not preformed haddock. My friends had the wings and fries and were quite impressed. Also, gravy is homemade, not from a packet. Service was quick, polite and on point. Looking forward to coming back. I want to try the Irish boxty with homemade roast beef and horseradish.

I had been waiting to come back here since I visited my buddy, who lives in Cambridge, last year. I was extremely pleased with the food, service, and the Stella, which was in a Stella glass, as it should be. I was more pleased when Liz, our server, showed up on the scene. What an amazing gal! I like it when you're not familiar with a place but you're made to feel welcome and cozy. That's what this Pub did for me. I can't wait to come back and try something else from the menu. It really is food that any restaurant would be proud of.

When going to a pub, we always enjoy our visits to The Black Badger. Service is always good. The wings are excellent according to my Husband, and my mushroom ravioli was delicious. We didn't get our sizzling mushrooms to start this last visit, but they are THE BEST!

Been there twice in the last month. The food was good, I had the chicken wings with fries on one occasion and the food platter the second time. The food is really good. The only thing is they take a while to bring your food, that happens both times I was there and it was not that busy.

Located in downtown (GALT) Cambridge, right next to the river front. This is a classic Pub with an European flair. They have a great menu and the food is delicious. The Badger also has a Partially enclosed outdoor patio that seats about 8-10 tables of 4. The nights when they bring in a good band are a wonderful experience as well. Check it out.

Came here for a drink the other week, thought the service was okay at best. You would come here for a drink, opt for the outside. Inside has some charm, reminds me of what a set of Coronation Street or a UK soap would be like. In 2019 it's like stepping back in time.

Have been here twice for monthly biker group meet-up. Great service, they have been very accommodating for our group. I had a burger the first time and it was quite good, but also tried the chicken ceasar wrap which was a bit bland. I did notice some other dishes that looked quite appealing. Nice pub atmosphere with an upstairs for groups.

The food is decent, and this place has a nice atmosphere, but the service is exceptionally bad. It seems the servers only care about those individuals who are "regulars" and spend their time chatting with the regulars while ignoring everyone else. On three separate dining occasions, I've had to leave the table to grab the servers; since once the food is brought to you they all but ignore you. Tonight was the only exception. A really nice young server in her 20s served my table on her second day. She was really attentive, which was a nice change.

My roommate and I absolutely love this place! We have been trying out the bars in Cambridge, and this is our number one bar. It is so welcoming, and has a cozy feel to it; the staff are so sweet, and the food, which we just had last night, was amazing! Live music is always a plus, and they do a solid job. Always epic. Don't go if you're looking for Fancy drinks. You get your typical pints there, screwdrivers, etc... Beer selection is nice, but you won't find cocktails there as some folks have complained. It's an old Fashioned British pub, and it is amazing. Worth the over hour drive.

Pub style atmosphere where it appears as though a lot of the locals hang out . Food was good but service was slow ( waitress apologized for being short staffed ). My wife ordered a burger and fries but asked if she could substitute a side salad for the fries. She was told she could but there would be a nominal upcharge for that. Turns out the nominal upcharge was the same price of the burger and fries plus another $4 for the salad ( with no fries). Seemed a little excessive to me. Wouldn't hurry back.

You should make eye contact and not speak to the back of a persons head and wait until a person is seated and had a few minutes to look over the menu. Foid was good. Food is great. I highly suggest if you spend a Saturday night there (watching the great entertainment) that you go Sunday morning for the breakfast. This is the last good Scottish Pub in Cambridge. The food is fantastic, drinks are reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly. Live music, and a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. The only downside is having to rely on street parking downtown. I have been coming here for years, and eill continue to do so!

This was my Dad's favourite watering hole, and in honour of him, my sister, our spouses, and I decided to stop in for dinner. Great little "hole in the wall" English pub, though you wouldn't be able to tell the pub was English by the food. Flavourful and aromatic butter chicken; fresh, crisp lettuce for the Caesar salad; and quality bread for the sandwiches. The dessert offerings were decent if uninspired, but it's a pub, not a dessert bar; having desserts on offer at all is just an added plus. We may need to make a stop here a tradition of sorts. Five stars. Thanks for the recommendation, Dad.

I visited the Badger yesterday and this morning I woke up and the service I received still nagged on me to a point where I decided to write this review. Our waitress was rude, inhospitable, disinterested and practically yelling at us at the table. I've been there a few times over the years and have also had great service. However, yesterday's experience was inexcusable, it left a lingering bad taste in my mouth that even the decent food can't cover up.

If you want a real Irish pub experience this is your place. Reminds me of some of the pubs I've been in in Dublin. From the minute you walk in the door it feels like you're underground in the dark homey atmosphere. The one difference & delightful surprise was the excellent selection on the menu that is not just the standard blah "bangers & mash" fare (although they do have that as well) It has a feeling of comradery that makes me want to become a regular and make this my "local"! Second time here in 3 weeks & will definitely become a regular stop. Very reasonable prices & our waitress Kaily was very cheerful & helpful in helping with my choice even though she admitted to me she was fairly new. All the staff smile & look like they genuinely like being here. In fact...They call a lot of the patrons by name. That's the kind of place it is.

I placed an order for my family tonight through Skip the Dishes. I originally ordered the Pulled Pork Carnitas, but promptly received a call from Stephanie to let me know Skip the Dishes had updated the menu too early and it wasn’t actually supposed to be on the menu until next week. Not a problem at all, having worked in a restaurant I understand these things happen. Stephanie was so nice and polite on the phone and asked me if I would like to order something else instead. She gave me a couple of minutes to decide and then called me back to take my order. I chose the Crispy Chipotle Chicken Club with Fries and it was excellent! The panko coating on the chicken was really good, and I loved the focaccia bread it was served on. If I couldn’t have the carnitas this was certainly a great alternative. Thank you Stephanie for your friendliness and excellent customer service! My family and I are long term customers of The Badger and I’m always happy to support a great local restaurant. I look forward to stopping by when restaurants reopen for dining-in. Thanks for a great meal! :)

The Google description is "cozy, old-fashioned British tavern", and they're not kidding. Carpet on the floor, footie on the big screen. A good selection of North American and UK beers on tap, and the steak and mushroom pot pie was delicious in exactly the right portion size. I can't wait to be back.
