I've been here a few times for social engagements. The food is excellent, desserts are both run-of-the-mill (chocolate brownies, vanilla cupcakes) and so amazing (carrot cake, cloud light lemon cake, some dort of bar that is both sweet & salty and crunchy & gooey). The staff is friendly, unobtrusive, and knowledgeable about whatever is going on. Well stocked bar, with beers, spirits, coolers, et al. Something for everyone. WiFi is available, but you have to ask for the password. Free parking. There's multiple rooms available for use, sizes vary, but all are suitable for gatherings, dancing, more intimate groups, etc. I have no idea what the golf course is like.

Amazing place to host any event. Banquet staff and management are very helpful. They can't do enough to help. Food is great and plentiful. I don't golf, however the parking lot is always packed, so the golf must be good too.

Great course for beginners , no bunkers, very little water hazards and not many trees. My wife didn't lose one ball the whole round and normally she'd loose half a dozen. So not sure if that a positive or a negative lol. The only real negative i'd say would be that the hole are pretty tight to each other. lets say you hit off the tee and you were in the first cut off the fairway the group in front of you would be teeing off right at you. A few times I was so worried to get hit from a tee shot I waited to take my shot until the group finished teeing off

The food is poor. The place in general is run down and in need of repair. They don't use warmers with their chaffing dishes and alarms me of food sanitary issues... They need to be looked into immediately...

My wife and I were married and had our reception here on April 15th 2017, the staff is amazing and very professional, set up the hall for us the day we came too and it was beautiful, our guests all commented on how great it looked, the food the dessert, etc etc, thank you so much for everything, we have been using grand valley for many years for our huge family Christmas party and that was the main consideration for the wedding. 5 stars goes to the staff for everything they do :)

Don’t bring out of town business guests that need to rent clubs!!! What an embarrassing moment. A business colleague comes to town and an opportunity to golf in a tournament opens at the same time. He doesn’t have clubs with him. “No problem, we can rent some there, I’m sure if it”. Bad choice. These rentals were destroyed let alone old. The grips were bad. Really bad. See pictures. Just a terrible situation. See pictures below. Looks like someone used the clubs to kill a raccoon they found in the garage and ended up hitting the garage floor more than the raccoon. Good news for the raccoon, bad news for me and my client. It’s unfortunate cause we haven’t even teed off yet. What a poor first impression.

Staff and everyone were very friendly and accommodating but the course condition was laughable. I've never seen so much sand on a green. It was like putting at the beach. I get times are tough but I feel like the one industry that's really thriving with COVID is the golf industry.

Awesome breakfast, we come here all the time and it can't be beat. The Grand Valley Breakfast is the perfect pick on a budget, 2 of those plates and 2 coffees ... Only $17! The wait staff are always really nice, and the atmosphere is so friendly. When we've been there it's never been too busy and there's always a seat available. They also have meat free and egg free options for people with specific dietary needs, we can't wait to come back and try something off their lunch menu.

Is my first time at Grand Valley golf, it wasn't too bad the courses are relatively easy. Great for beginners, the longest course is I believe 485ish most of them are anywhere between 200 to 350 yards consistently, the tee boxes are rougher than most golf courses, definitely in courses under 200 yards say 150 yards... I'm just guessing they're having issues maintaining grass because of irons and chipping. Unfortunately there was no beer cart, it was a Saturday which I was kind of surprised that there's no beer cart. Went and got some beer after hole nine. I cracked the beer open at the patio area, and it tasted off and was flat, it was a tall boy can of rolling Rock which is a beer I drink all the time. Other than that the golf course is good and the golf carts were up to date and running good

Definitely a nice simple course. Grounds are hard but that's understandable with the weather we've been having. Friendly staff and pace of play was good. We didn't feel rushed at all. I wish they had a portapotty or two set up along the way for the ladies..and a little beverage spot along the way around hole 4-5 and 13-14 would be nice too! All and all we had a nice time and will be back.

Friendly in the proshop and 19th hole, but not what you'd call a championship course. It's a cottage track, not in bad shape, but not lush either. Not sure where they got those measurements for the Blues - most of the blue tees were set near the Reds, when I look at the card and it says the Blues are supposed to be 40-50 yards back and then look back, you would be teeing off from the other side of the fairway behind you or maybe back in the farmer's field. Have been a couple times, they seem to be busy most of the time, but the calibre of play matches the course, so you might be stuck for a slow round and will likely see the odd ball from adjacent fairways. Take it for what it's worth, I'd go back, but with this in mind.

We paid $115 for a twosome with a cart and every single green is covered in sand/dirt/leaves and rocks. One of the holes didnt have a green. The layout of the course is decent, but how can you offer such a great rate on underpar all season and then make people pay full price for nearly unplayable conditions.

Course is in terrible shape year round and unless you play Twilight, they're overpriced, considering Doon Golf Course is 2 minutes away. Pace of play is slow (4-5 hour rounds). Depending on skill level, this is a very easy course with most (par 4s) being drivable or near drivable. The 2 par 5s are the best holes on the course and most enjoyable. Great place if just learning to golf or dont care about pace.

We had our wedding here this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing!! It all went so smoothly. The venue was clean, arranged, service was great, food was AMAZING!! Lots of comments from our guests on how delicious the food was! We also had our rehearsal dinner here (I planned that last minute) and Jimmy & Scott were very accommodating!! They had set up a private room for us - I was expecting a table, table cloths and plates but they went above & beyond and decorated it for us !! This made me tear up! I'm so happy they were a big part of our special day! They also took very good care of our set up team (day of coordinators) by arranging lunch for them & offering staff to help out with any set up! I can not recommend this place enough. One of the best choices I have ever made was having our wedding at Grand Valley!

We had our wedding at Grand Valley this past weekend and feel that we cannot say enough good things about our experience. Jimmy, Scott and the staff at Grand Valley were incredibly accommodating with our requests and worked with us at every turn to ensure our day was everything we hoped for. Even being short notice, everything seemed to go smoothly, everyone had a good time, and while we don't expect to have to get married again we wholeheartedly recommend Grand Valley to anyone looking for wedding or special event venues. Went to a wedding here and experience was way below par. The building was outdated and dirty everywhere you look. The baseboards around the restaurant were filthy as well as in the banquet rooms. The bathrooms both in the banquet rooms and in the restaurant are disgusting. They are filthy and were out of toilet paper in multiple stalls. The linen was dirty before we even sat down however changed when asked.I also noticed that in the “grand” room the fire alarm is hanging off the wall and is only connected by wires that are visible by everyone, not to mention there were children running around close to the alarm with it hanging off the wall. Food was alright and service was fantastic from the banquet staff, but overall, I would never have my wedding here and would not reccomend to a friend.

Old worn out club. No sand traps - that'd be too hard for the target clients. The greens were being dressed with dirt the day we played, so putting game wasnt an option. Players were incredibly slow - ready golf seemed to be illegal and there's some rule against more than 1 player out of their cart at once -- no one would get to their ball and setup to be ready to play while another was hitting far across the other side. 4 different groups ahead of us all did this in 27 holes played (we got waved through only once). Took 4h45m to play 18 holes. Didn't see a marshall anywhere on the course. Course is very flat, no hazards - and very frequently other players hitting onto our fairways (not enough blocking trees between holes). Restaurant looks like a diner circa 1950.

Pace of play was challenging due to players not allowing a single golfer to play through. Course was groomed but firm due to lack of rain. Some areas of the course need attention (tee box repair, bumpy cart path areas, etc). For the price ($25 for twilight rate on a weekend) you can't go wrong. This is a good place to work on your game (I was working on my long irons). Greens were firm and fast. Fairways were hard but cut well. Tee boxes were firm and could use a bit of tlc. Overall, I would recommend this course for those that want a relatively simple course to play. It would be good for those that are learning the game as it's not overly long. Note: I have played this course for many years and will go back again to work on specific parts of my game.

As a Senior, I started coming to this course last year with my son, who always keeps his eye on the specials, of which Grand Valley offers many. The course is well kept and challenging enough for those of all ages. As a long time resident of this area, I have become accustomed to local hospitality; but the staff and members at this course are the most friendly and open people I have ever encountered at a golf club. Everyone is made to feel welcome. The restaurant serves good food at great prices and the personnel are excellent. Best deal in the region and feels like "family". 5 stars for sure. I was Married here two weeks ago, and Overall we were very pleased with the result on the day. Our Day of coordinator Jimmy went above and beyond for us in every way, and was very accommodating when we asked for mobility assistance for elderly grandparents or the moving of decor from outside to inside! The only reason that we decided to give 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the bar staff not always being present during the open bar on the night of the wedding, and the inconsistencies with communication with the new owner for meetings during the transition as well as the tasting which was confirmed for 6 people, and we were seated and plated for 4. Very reasonably priced, and a lovely spot with the beautiful old barn foundation to give character to the space. I am very glad that we chose this location for our big day!

I have both played golf , went to a wedding and now booking mine at this establishment. Golf greens are well kept with excellent staff and course layout. Indoors the food is fantastic and would highly recommend the rolled rib and chicken wings! Scott the owner always makes time to talk to everyone and makes it feel like family. Wedding venues are handled with love and the staff makes sure all questions or help are provided. The facility is well kept and clean. When I say clean I mean spotless! There new outdoor wedding venue is beautiful and am kicking myself for not taking pictures. Over all I highly recommend this to anyone who plays golf or is looking for a beautiful venue with a family owned and run buisness. If your looking for a nice spot for food go try the chicken wings, you wont be disappointed.

Sorry, I can't believe how dirty and stained the chairs are. Service was OK, but I ordered take out same as.my brunch meal and it never came. I was not charged for it, but I was not going to wait after I paid. Lady sitting next to me received potatos almost raw. Needless to say, it was not most pleasant experience.

Take an old set of clubs while playing on this cement pretending to be grass. Also a hammer to put your tee in the ground. Good thing about this course is no sandtraps and you can usually get an extra 50 yard roll on the drive because the ground is so hard.

Garbage course. Condition is terrible, esp the greens. Bought it from underpar for cheap which worked out to be about $30 each but still not worth it. Please don't waste your time , go elsewhere. If owner don't care about course then you shouldn't spend your money there.

I never leave reviews about anything ever so this says a lot. I don’t know how this can be considered a golf course. The greens were absolute garbage. Just turn this dump in to a gravel pit like the surrounding area. Can’t believe they allow this place to be anywhere close to whistlebear. DONT GOLF HERE!

Course was in terrible shape. Very dry in spots. Greens had been top dressed and aerated which we were told about until we arrived. Grass was not cut very long and patchy. Greens were incredibly slow. I will not go back to this track!! The only positive was that the staff was very friendly.

Staff and management is very friendly and accommodating. For all the hard core golfers. Its great to have a local course open all year round. I'm happy to swing a club any time.

Always enjoyed golfing here. The course is kept in excellent condition and the prices are reasonable. In addition the food is very good and the staff (pro shop and marshals) work with you to ensure you have a pleasant day. I come here a few times every summer and would definitely recommend!!

Solid course. The front 9 has the feeling of the club trying to pack too many holes in a small area. The back 9 opens up a little more. It's not long but fun to play.

A fun place for the beginner/intermediate golfer. A lack of course management leads to a lot of waiting on even moderately busy days. Seeing 5-some or 6-some messing everything up is not uncommon. Great restaurant and friendly staff.
