Went to a dance and was a great evening. Bar Service was great.

Attended "White" dance. Had a great night. Food was excellent, DJ played mostly a mix of rock & country music. Mostly older generation (late 30s +) but it was a great atmosphere. Everyone seems to have had a great time.

We had a meeting booked at the hall. No one showed up to open the hall. After waiting for over an hour with no response from anyone. We had no other choice but to have the meeting in the parking lot. If this is the type of service being offered I’m concerned. Hopefully this was a one off experience. If I return and my next visit is better I then will update my review.

We went to the Saturday night single dance and ended up leaving at 11. Most of the crowd was gone. Everybody was complaining about the music.Yes, the music is really bad. The DJ likes hid rock'n roll and he plays way too much of it.. We payed $15 cover charge to be entertained by this individual. He failed. We will not return

This was a great place to hold an event space for 400 with a full bar lots of selection for all . We were attending for a function supporting a fundraiser for a local privately funded school with care and education for autistic children. 5 bands were performing all of them local, spectacular variations of top 40 and a variety of music ot always heard . A great evening had by all .

I rented the small hall for a birthday party for my husband. The hall was awesome! Just the right size for the approx. 100 people who were able to make it. Terry & Danny (the bartenders) were great too! Would definitely rent this hall again!! As a side note: the lounge/small hall has been renovated and looks great!

Whether you are having a small, medium or large event, the Cambridge Newfoundland Club is a perfect venue. The facility is clean and the staff courteous and friendly. I have performed many weddings at the club, and all plans are organized and in place before I even arrive! Terry Brown oversees every event, ensuring that your experience at the club is a pleasant and positive one. When I am asked if I know of a location for a wedding in Cambridge, I always refer the Canadian Newfoundland Club.

DON'T BOOK YOUR STAG HERE! I recently helped at a stag and doe at this location, and had an absolutely terrible time with the staff. Not one of them could say anything polite all night long, essentially barked at us, had nothing but rude things to say and we're not helpful at all. One week before the event, the staff told the bride and groom that they could suddenly not do the 4 of 7 of their games for ridiculous reasons. Apparently golf clubs are weapons, balloon stomping is deadly... These were things that they should have said to the bride and groom when they were looking to book, not one week before the event after everything had been purchased and all posters were made. Speaking of posters, the staff wanted us to use a specific type of tape to put up posters. That's perfectly fine, not a problem. But, the way that they requested this was just disgusting. As with all of their "requests," it was the manner in which they spoke to everyone working it. Instead of saying " please use this tape," they said in a very rude tone "don't you use that tape on my walls!" It was interactions like that all night long. One gentleman bringing in food requested which fridge the food went in. The proper answer would have been "oh here, let me show you." Instead it was "well not in this fridge right here!" I have so many examples that I honestly cannot fit them all in this review. Someone goes to wipe the table, they yell "what do you think you are doing with that?!" Someone else puts a ladle in the sink, they snapped "you better clean that up and not leave my sink a mess." They really were unlogical about the whole night. Of course people are going to clean their ladles, they want them clean to bring home! They also refused to give free tapwater to the DD's! We bought water bottles to provide the DD's, but were told that no outside beverages are allowed. My oh my, those sealed water bottles, they are such a problem! There is clearly miscommunication between those who run this establishment. The staff who booked the stag and doe, were not the same staff who operated the night of the event. The staff who operated the night of, were constantly threatening to shut down the event, because they claimed that we were breaking the rules. What we were doing, was actually following the rules that were outlined by the staff that the bride and groom booked with! We even had to say to the staff "Terry directed us to do it this way. We are doing what we were told we need to do." Unfortunately, when the night was all over, the bride was next to tears. When the bride and groom don't actually enjoy their own stag and doe because of the staff, there is a real problem with your company. There was a rather large "vent session" between the wedding party and the family afterwards about the staff. This really should not be! Unfortunately, the majority of the memories we will have from this supposed to be wonderful night, will all be about how horrible the staff treated us.

Absolutely disgusting service. I cannot believe that people running a business would speak to their customers in the way that they do. Don't waste your money or time. Paid $350 for the night to be talked down to without any satisfaction. Awful business
