The worst nightclub I’ve ever attended. Disgusting service, my friend was treated very badly by the manager just when we inquired about how negative our experience had been. We were so frustrated that we weren’t even offered a refund for the cloakroom, after we were forced to put our coats in the cloakroom for £6 per item. Fuming. Worst experience of my life. Never returning to this abysmal club, and I recommend that no one attends ever again. Drinks were £5.50 for a shot, when usually you can get them for £1.

Friday 13th 2020 I booked a table for 12 people, at 2:30am two random guys called the bouncer and told him that I was sat at their table (when I was at mine), I got kicked out after paying £300 for a table just because a random guy asked a bouncer too. 3 bouncers, 2 of which let me in, ended up kicking me out simply because a random guy wanted to steal my table!!! Even if it wasn't for the table, it was a rubbish night out, 2 fights happened next to me and the bouncers did nothing, a girl was vomiting all over the place and the bouncers didn't care. Really would not reccoment!!!

The worst establishment I've ever been to. Ruined our friend's special night out. If I had a choice it wouldn't even be the last place on earth. It's the most awful place. The bouncers are scared of the managers. The men are scared of the woman manager in particular . She's an extremely difficult character. She thinks the way to manage is through fear. None of the other staff think for themselves. I was physically manhandled even though I had done nothing wrong. I was frog marched down the stairs. I will never ever, step foot within a mile of that place. The male manager is patronising, sexist, rude, abusive but without the intelligence to back it up with. If you ask him to put him three sentences together he get very, very, angry. As a woman who respects both men and women I found this place intolerable.

After reading the reviews i was a little skeptical about coming here but so far the best club I have discovered in CB2. 3 floors of serious partying, with a bar on each f you include the roof terrace. I went on a Friday night and got RNB, Dancehall, Afrobeats, Grime and even pop (though this was quite empty on the 1st floor) bouncers are cool and good fun. Highly recommend.

I see from previous reviews it's not a common occurrence to experience extremely poor service from this place! I paid £10 entry, set a drink down (£5.80) in a 'vip' section, unbenown to me, then abruptly it was taken and I was ejected from the area and not allowed to claim my drink back! No apologies, just force. What a shoddy, pathetic service. Me and my group were so shocked by such a bad performance by support and bouncing staff, we all left. Stood in line for 45 minutes. At the door, they were staying it was only college night, not letting anyone else in. As a post grad student néw to the university, I wasn’t let in even with a valid ID. Didn’t have an university I’d yet. Total joke. No advertising anywhere that it was college night. Very misleading,

everyone loves to hate Lola's but honestly it's a solid night out. The smoking area has sofas and warmth lamps and a bar and you can actually talk to people, and there's two dancefloors. £1 fireball is also good. Only thing is they kick you out for doing nothing wrong and there's no gender neutral toilets and too much broken glass

As a local uni student I highly recommend Lola's for a night out. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and an awesome venue. What has impressed me the most is how safe and welcoming Lolas feels especially for a night club. The staff have seen me a couple times and recognised me and are so lovely and friendly. Highly recommend.

Came here as the place looked amazing on Instagram and it was everything we hoped for! Great decor from massive neon signs, to palm print walls & bamboo seating... The only thing it's missing is a flower wall (although they do have a flower roof!) All the girls loved it and the cocktails were fab! I had one that came in a cute puffa fish mug!

I had an awful experience there. It started off with them trying to charge my friend to check her coat. When she asked why the person in front of her wasn't charged, they had no answer. Several hours later while in line to get a drink I was grabbed from behind by a bouncer and thrown outside. When I asked why, they told me they don't need to provide an explanation. I then realized my wallet was missing, I had it before the bouncer grabbed me. They refused to let me inside to look for it. They were nothing but aggressive and rude.

Would give a 0 if I could. Too small, expensive drinks which don’t taste right ….. filthy and dingy toilets, awful music. In my experience there’s plenty of unattended sick dotted around. The ONLY half decent thing is the smoking terrace

One of the best nights out I've had in a long time! Came to Lola's last friday for a friends birthday, we had a VIP table with excellent waitress service all night, despite how busy it was the girls waitressing were very attentive and made sure we were having a great time. Well worth the extra money. Would deffo recommend to friends and plan on booking here again soon! Thanks for a great night!!!

We arrived at 10:30 on a Saturday night to a queue giving the illusion the club was packed, it really wasn't. Thanks for charging £8 entry at 10:40! Strangely the girls weren't charged though. Was then charged £5.20 for the smallest bottle of beer, £4.50 a shot. Place is 80% males, roof top smoking area is decent, club is small, entry fee ridiculous, London price drinks. Stick to The Regal Wetherspoons.

Payed 17 pound for tickets to get in with a bunch of friends, after an hour we get kicked out as my friend was sitting on a boys lap and we was sober! I tried asking the security guard why she was kicking us out and her response was you’re mate sitting on that boys lap and is drunk. My friend was not drunk as we had pretty much only just arrived there! They are over priced drinks and was just a terrible place to go to to enjoy yourselves . And the security are just shocking. Charging 35 pound for 3 Malibu’s!

Was pulled out of Lola Los and searched the other week. They wouldn't tell me nor my wife what exactly they were looking for, and then just kicked me out by the rude management. Was completely random. Only there for a little with my wife and one mate. Absolutely no idea what they were looking for as we were very quiet. Wife doesn't even drink!

Make sure you bring strong shoes as 90% of the time you stand on broken glass. The music is decent drinks are expensive. Positives-Terrace on the roof (Smoking area). I recommend you go to Revolution

I was at Lola lo in Cambridge with my friends to celebrate us all going off to university the following weekend, when I was rudely pulled away from my group by a female bouncer. I was led to believe that she was taking me aside to have a word with me but it turns out I was being kicked out of the club. With no reason given to me, I was left rather bemused as to why I was kicked out. So they told me to join the back of the queue and that they would let me back in when I got to the front. So I took it on the chin and decided to wait. After queuing for over 1 hour I was then told that they wouldn’t let me back in. Another bouncer then said that I had to go to get some food and return in 30 minutes. I then proceeded to do so. When I returned to the venue there was nobody waiting outside in the queue and the bouncer still refused me entry once again. The bouncers had not only wasted my time but also ruined a night meant for celebration. I was quite frankly shocked at the etiquette of the staff at Lola lo and will not be returning anytime soon.

Perhaps the worst club I’ve every been in, we paid £10 each to get in on a Saturday night. Once in there was literally 10 other people. All seating was reserved, we stayed for 1 drink then promptly left. Plenty of other places free and with a better atmosphere locally.

Bad business - We were looking forward to our night finishing at Lola Lo's nightclub, celebrating a friends birthday party. We arrived as two separate groups, and already got ourselves on the guest list for quick entry etc. The first group, which didn't include me, had already arrived and were inside waiting for us remaining 5. Unfortunately there was a problem, which was that one of us was wearing footwear deemed too 'inappropriate' to enter. Now I appreciate that attire can require scrutiny for certain venues and if you turn up perhaps looking extremely scruffy, then there is merit for refusing entry, but it just seemed so unreasonable and quite frankly 'old fashioned' for this to be an issue, especially as another one of us was also wearing trainers but his didn't seem to be a problem? Make's no sense? You can enter at a club with holes all in your jeans, perhaps bright pink hair, or fancy dress for a hen or stag party, but you can't go in with trainers? We were not kicking up a fuss (we are not drunken moron's), we were asking very nicely if they could maybe make an exception on this occasion, but instead they were prepared to turn away 5 paying customers for the sake of one's footwear. To me, it's just bizarre, and poor business...everyone is in a lose situation? It didn't seem particularly busy, there was no que.. Many clubs have sat in the same location in Cambridge over the years and with this type of attitude, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a different name above the doors at some point in the near future. Shame.

Me and my friends booked a VIP Table at Lola Lo Cambridge. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy and quick it was to make the booking with the lovely Faith who answered all our questions quickly! The night was a success, we were greeted by the lovely hostess who took us to our table, then introduced to the waitress..she was so helpful when it came to selecting our drinks (Which we enjoyed very much!) Music was great, big variety for all to enjoy! Staff had great customer service skills too! Can't wait to come back to Lola Lo again very soon. Definitely the best nightclub experience in Cambridge! Thank you team lola lo :)

Lola Los, supposedly an ideal place to relax casually in a Polynesian setting. Alas, this is not the case. Upon arriving with my compatriots to the club, the first problem we faced was that the staff had suddenly decided to enforce a rather strict dress code. Seemingly, if one wishes to chill out in a tropical setting, they need to be wearing formal attire. Secondly, although the website clearly stated that on Friday nights U18s are perfectly welcome, the club changed their mind for this evening. I had made it but two paces into the club when I was suddenly informed I had to leave as it had been decided the night was now for U21s only. Upon inquiring about this decision, a rather large man stated that he was the owner and that "at the end of the day" he decided the rules and could do what he likes. To my comrades who did make it into the venue, they reported that there were no more than 15 people inside, which raises questions as to why it would suddenly be decided that only over 21s would be allowed in. The response from the owner was outright disgusting, not even apologizing for his sudden change in the rules, and it is certainly not appropriate for a supposedly relaxed venue. I would not advise anyone under 21 to post their review just in case our manager friend suddenly decides to change the rules on a whim.

Booked a vip table for my husbands birthday at Cambridge Lola lo spent over £500 only to be forced to leave early as a group of men clearly looking for more than a “fight” decided to make threats towards the group, following us from floor to floor. Despite telling at least 5 bouncers incl door staff these individuals were still not asked to leave each time we were told “we know who they are we will keep an eye out”. I will never go here again, and if you are thinking you are safe in Lola’s think again when the door staff’s response to me asking why nobody is searched for knives or asked for ID on entry is “if you have a knife or shank on you we are not interested just keep it in your pocket”. #winner#onestarisgenerous !!

Went on 29/08. Could be a really nice little place. Bar staff are friendly despite it being incredibly busy. Door staff need to smile! However, the toilets and general untidiness let it down. The ladies toilets were filthy, floor covered in loo roll and other rubbish, locks not working on doors and no toilet roll in majority of toilets. My other half said the gents toilets were disgusting too. Zero hand sanitizers available... Why?? We enjoyed it but all in all we wouldn't go back.

Did a cocktail making masterclass as part of a hen do. We got to make loads of different cocktails, and were able to select the drinks that we wanted to make rather than having to choose from a restricted select few. The bar staff (Tag, and a lovely lady who's name escapes me) were brilliant. They had us competing against each other, and also had timed races against the pro's! This was such good fun, I would absolutely recommend it. Well worth the money!

What can we say about Lola lo went here with a few friends for the first and last time last night and I was absolutely appalled no track and trace was requested at any point £15 to enter no beers left our group ended up drinking VK as no beer or cider the toilets were horrific over 45 minutes to get served at the bar I don't think that I will be returning to Lola lo anytime soon there is alot better venues out there the barman was rude and not once did I see him wash his hands even after scratching his groin maybe give the staff some training in basic hygiene procedure's the vibe wasn't too bad though

It's always interesting looking at the mixed reviews of a place. I've been to Lola Lo several times and always had a pretty good experience. My only negative would be the price of some of the drinks. I really love the fact that you can go to the roof terrace and have a quiet chat with someone with no music. It lends a different atmosphere to a club. I had a great night last time dancing with some guys who I didn't know, no bad bouncer experiences - but maybe I got lucky... Who knows! Decide for yourselves people.

Took forever to get in via queue despite only about 15 people in front of us. The person who works in the toilet kept forcing his way into my cubicle whilst I was using the loo and asked for money - what the hell?! Bouncers are also miserable and looking for trouble.

Paid a fortune to buy a table for the evening. Website says treated like VIP all evening. Being able to sit at a table I would hardly call VIP. In addition to this they decided to re-sell our table and kicked us off by a rude bouncer even though we had it booked for the whole evening. Greed! Take your money and poor service, not the VIP treatment we were expecting. Might I add that this table came with a £400 minimum spend!!!

I went to Lola’s last night, I go there very often as I am a student and have never had a problem here before but last night one of my mates was given the wrong item from the cloak room and when I had addressed this to the person working in the cloak room (bearing in mind I was sober and was looking after my mate) she was so rude swearing at me and giving me so much attitude, saying he needs to come in and say and I had to turn round and say I’m not being rude to you can you please not be rude to me, I’m just trying to get my mates hat, I was not arguing with her about it I was trying to explain the situation and I had never been more spoked down to before in my life, making it seem like I was being the rudest person for asking and seeing what I can do in the situation. I asked her for her name and she wouldn’t give it to me but if that’s how she talks to paying customers if the have a problem and instead of saying nicely you need to come back tomorrow or this is what you need to do. I am very disappointed in the treatment I was given as I wasn’t drunk and rude and a regular customer. This person was on a after half 1.

Worst club of all times, Had a experience tonight racism at it worsts the bouncers asked for id’s we were in a group of 3 cause we are asians(international students) he said you are not allowed cause your id’s are fake and he pushed me against the railing i got injured and he told you are drunk which we were not and stopped us from entering the club as it was my mates birthday and threatened us to leave or they will call the police and have a case against us!!!! Really bad experience , **Night life of Cambridge**!!! Thought of it to be fun and loving but seeing people like this scares me to upfront and enjoy the night surrounded by goons!!

I visited a club in Cambridge called Lolas Friday night, prior to entry I very politely and charismatically asked for information regarding the ID scanning machines and asked how long would my data be stored and who my data would be shared with etc, as per my right under GDPR. Management printed a document and handed me the information I requested. My friend and I read the document and agreed to the terms set out in the document. Afterwards my friend got searched, the bouncer rubbed his ID very hard against his own black trousers and it left a white mark. The bouncer said that could be “Residue” and he refused my friend entry based on that. None of my party got banned from the club. After the bouncer refused entry, the manger said to me, If you didn’t ask about GDPR, you probably wouldn’t have got searched and would have probably been allowed in. I understand this is only my side of the story and I can’t prove this, but as a computer scientist professional I feel that data collection in night clubs is not taken seriously enough and this abuse of power just because I wanted to know about my data rights is very unfair.

The bouncers were unreasonable and not willing to listen to me whilst they kicked me out despite having done nothing wrong and being threatened by two other people. Despite attempting to apologise to both parties throughout the whole ordeal, I was not allowed back in and left outside along with the two individuals who threatened me. I'm appalled at the rationale and attitudes behind these people. I have never been banned myself, but I and many of my friends have been subject to these unfair scenarios thanks to those who are charged with keeping order. I have been verbally attacked for no reason in the past upon entry, I have watched my cousin be intentionally tempted into hostile scenarios involving themselves and I am fed up with settling for how power hungry these people are. The bouncers have personal issues which they need to sort out and not inflict on the public.

So I usually go to Lola’s. Compared to most places in Cambridge, its decent. Tonight on the 19/07/18 the security guard on the door decided to start shouting at me because I told him to cheer up. I am an extremely polite cheerful person. I was not drinking due to driving, hence, no chance of intoxication. I have never come across a more miserable, rude, depressing, disgusting man. Almost as if he was bored, and wanted to pick a fight. He breathalysed a group of young females before we went in, it came up clear, he still did not let them in. The leavel of Security here has taken a massive, massive step down, what a disgraceful embarrassment.
