Nice track

Very bad experience. Set up our aunts 50th surprise birthday here. Had 6 groups of 3-4 people set up to golf. When we arrived they had our name in the system but the T times didn’t save. Waited around for two hours and they said they could get only one group to go golf so we just left. We got no compensation and the surprise birthday was ruined

Good time, Manager Barb was so accomodating, thanks

2021 course looks great. In good shape. Bit of a funny layout but an enjoyable course to play.

One of the worst golf experiences I've ever had; first off was put with another pair, we had a power cart, they didn't, because they overbooked tee times. Secondly, our foursome was told 3 times OVER THE COURSE OF 9 HOLES that we should play best ball because we were holding up other golfers. Each tee we were waiting to tee off due to others in front of us, which I'm fine with because it's a public course. We told each course employee this every time we were asked to speed up, and they just ignored that fact. The course itself is also in rough shape, not even worth the cheap green fees Will never play beaverdale golf course again.

Cameron Waite

Sherley Loucks

Decent golf course with a few holes that provide enough of a challenge (to the average player - me!).

Rob Hall

Even at the low price point there isn't much value unless you need some spare top soil, you can probably just scoop some from the tee boxes. If you are learning golf and want a lower pressure environment with a short course, this may be the spot for you. Otherwise, if you have any standards or experience with even mediocre courses - Beaverdale does not stack up. The tee boxes are quite literally dirt. Some tee boxes don't even have blocks. It is almost impossible to tell distances with no markers on the fairways. Every few holes you may get a tiny piece of wood indicating 100 yards.

Greg Taylor

Great for events, only downside there's a lot of mosquitoes

Carts and terrible. Course isn't all that bad. Staff is great. Never had a single issue. They are awesome. Keeps me coming back.

A little overbooked and slower play. Half of greens were covered in aerrated divots.

ivan corry

Slightly disappointed, though for the little money paid i wasnt expecting too much. Does not seem like they water the fairways, so the ground is dry and half the grass is dead, meaning if you arent playing in the fairway its like playing out of a sand bunker constantly. The greens were not to bad, a little slow but the only thing that past expectations for the price paid. This is not to say they were great, still damaged. The worst thing by far though however was the pace of play, probably one of the slowest courses i have played at. We didnt even get to finish.. waiting at every hole for 10 minutes, played the front nine in 2.5 hours. Never coming back because of the pace of play alone, really really disappointed.

Carlos Smits

Nice little course. Close by and a challenging chip and putt.

I've played there in the mid 90's and it was in great shape, and then Golf North took over and was beginning to wane. I stopped playing there until 2020 playing in a tournament, noticed it hadn't changed a bit, actually got worse, especially the 6th hole, drainage is still very bad on the fairway. the best hole is the first hole and it's all downhill from there. Played there once this year and that's it for me. The tee boxes are in horrendous shape, no seed boxes, weeds growing all over, most tee boxes are dirt, especially the 5th and 13th. Dundee and Foxwood are on their way towards Beaverdale territory. I guess that's what happens when Golf North owns about 30 courses, too many courses to take care of and not enough people to care.

amelia norkooli

Great service from the beer cart staff!

MUCKEDYOU “muckedyou”

Negative people working there. Not the greatest course.

Steve Kirkwood

Nice course, we'll maintained

Bob Steiss

I really enjoyed playing a round of golf there. The staff were very friendly and they had the beer cart out as well. I would definitely go back again.

Retro Acoustics

Awful service, the golf carts were not cleaned properly between each use (especially during COVID), found cigarette buds in them. We were told not nicely and threatened to be fined because we didn’t know a few of the rules (which we were never told and when we asked about the rules, they told us to just have fun) and were not moving fast enough therefore holding everyone up. Each stop was very crowded and we usually have to wait our turn anyways. Definitely would not recommend this golf course.

Great place to photograph weddings and engagement sessions. The food and staff are amazing. I've attached some photos of a recent wedding and engagement at Beaverdale Golf & Country Club :-)

Attended a wedding there - and was a great venue. Had an excellent patio for the ceremony, and the ballroom for the reception was fantastic.

Manager was rude to us and employees over booked. Too much wait time played 18 holes took 6 hours to play. Course maintenance sucks

Azmi Hamid

My rating is not for their golf course , it is for their restaurant , My experience there is painful . I don't recommend it if you plan to organize any event , you better AVOID this place . I rate this restaurant 1

Robbie Edwards

Laid back, good value golfing. I have played a few rounds here this season including an event for work and all has been enjoyable.

Really irritated about how me bringing in outside beer to the course was handled. After seeing my beer that was not purchased at the course, the beer cart girl told me and my 3 friends that she would need to search our bags and confiscate all our alcohol or we would need to leave the course. A proper policy should be to dump the drink and if they catch me again I have to leave. Really ruined the enjoyment of the day. Course is good though.

Beware of poor business ethics. On September 14th at 8:45am, I was traveling on Kossuth Road that runs adjacent to this facility, when a golf ball came through the trees and hit my vehicle causing a dent in the left front fender. I reported the incident in detail to the establishment later that day to the Manager on duty and I was told to expect a call from the General Manager in the following days. I followed up 3 days later in person and I was then told that they will not accept any responsibility for my damages. They informed me that the person who hit the ball was responsible and that they would have to audit the player list to find the party at fault. I then had to follow up again 2 weeks later, at which time I was told their internal investigation has resulted in a dead end and they would forward my concern to upper Management. As you can see by the date of this post, it has now been a full month and nobody has contacted me nor accept responsibility which means I either face paying my $500 deductible or pay to have it fixed out of pocket to prevent a claim. After speaking with others from the area, it became apparent that this is not an isolated incident. After looking in detail at their course this is due to the design and the lack of protective netting to prevent this from happening. This is just bad business not only for their patrons but locals that pass by on a daily basis. One day if someone gets struck in the face with a ball while driving with their window down, this could lead to a serious accident over a simple solution like netting to protect everyone's interests.

Played here 1000s of times growing up, nice, shorter course, always fun. Seems like this year Golf North has just given up. Burnt fairways, weeds everywhere, tee boxes with no grass left. If you like standing in dirt while trying to tee off, this is the place for you. Greens were aerated so putting was also an adventure. I won't be back.

Tracy Harding

Over booked....seems to be the trend with Golf North properties. 6 hours for a 18 hole round? Prepare to wait more than golf.

Its a decent course for a beginner golfer. Very forgiving and wide fairways. Right now it is poorly maintained with burnt fairways and multiple tee boxes were just dirt. I dont want to sound completely negative. It has extremely friendly and polite staff and I am sure in the spring it is a great course to learn on.

Ray Moric

Just loved it. Great course with lots of mature trees, and considering the hot weather this year, it was very well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Reasonable price. Great for walking. I will be back.

We were early for our tee time today, and nobody was to be found. We ended up being sent to the first tee 20 minutes late. This combined with the failure to stagger the group's after us caused a significant back up and ruined the enjoyment not only for our group, but the group's behind us. We felt rushed, and as a group largely consisting of beginners, that is the last thing you want to feel on the golf course. Beyond this lack of customer service and general awareness for paying customers, the course was in ROUGH shape. Tee boxes had no grass, greens were diseased. Fairways were spotty at best. I would not recommend this course for beginner golfers, or experienced golfers as it failed to provide an enjoyable round, both from a management perspective and the way the grounds are kept.

Brian Smith

Horrible course. Poorly groomed. Muddy soaking wet . Unfit for play. Rude staff. Starter who can't remember names and is COVID-19 overreactive. Miserable experience. Strongly not recommended.

Merry Snider

I enjoyed the coarse for first time. When booking my tee time I thought I was playing twosome. When I arrived we had to play with two others, they where surprised as well. I have been learning for 2 years. Yes I am a woman thankfully they where too they felt the same what if I ended up with 2 intense golf players more experienced I don't think I would have enjoyed it with that said I had a good day

Aerated greens this week. Enough said.

Jason Holden

got charged $104 to do 9 holes with my brother. Tried to check online for what their fees are and there's no information. But at $23.95 a person to golf with a cart. Unless there carts are $50 it doesn't make sense

I played here for the first time August 14th 2020. The staff were friendly. The course some holes were in good shape but most of the tee boxes were in bad shape it was hitting from the dirt not grass. The Fairways on some holes were not noticeable as it just blended with the rough. The power carts were in terrible shape I needed to use the choke most times and also changed carts after the front 9. In the end I had fun playing here as it was is short course with many holes that had risk vs reward on tee shots to go for it or layup.

We had my parents 35th anniversary party here. It was amazing. The staff was very helpful and the food was spectacular. We went with a chicken and sirloin option with roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Everything was cooked perfectly! We are really happy with our experience at the Beaverdale golf club. I'll be book other future anniversary parties here for sure. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful evening.

Jonathan Adams

Went early in the season. Greens were good ! Beautiful course.

Raffi Sanfilippo

What is with the starter? Guy looks like he doesn't know what year it is, incredibly stand offish and invasive with how he talks to people. Put this dude in a nursing home, not working at your golf course.

Ashley Borman

Aaron

Needs some serious maintenance dollars from golf north. Tee boxes are very uneven, nearly unplayable. The grass on some tee boxes is the length of rough and some are just mud no grass at all, all while being uneven. I Still like the course however! Just needs some love.

drew webster

curtis newell

hands down the worst course ive ever been to. had 4 other people have the same tee time as us. at one point i had 10 people waiting behind us.

Kory Mortimer

Tee boxes are dirt, very little grass, greens are terrible.

Harrison Bannister

Honestly, if you’re going to spend north of $60 go to a course that’s worth it.

Aaron Shorten

Course is okay. Staff is friendly. Tee boxes were in rough shape, difference between fairway and rough on many holes was non-existent. Very short course, good for beginners

Rick Mower

Well kept greens, T boxes need a little work. Nice course otherwise.

Donald MacLeod

Nice golf course. In great shape for this time of year. Very few leaves on course. Greens in great shape. Employees were friendly and happy to help.

Mike Josling

Mark St Hilaire

Decent course for the price

Darlene Hunt

We went there on Saturday for our christmas dinner. The chicken was so dried out, that no one at our table ate more that 1 tenth. The green beans offered plastic wrapping to 2 people. A disgusting meal was had by most

B so

This course has seen better days

Jewels Jewels

They booked way too many tee times today line up at some holes was 6 teams waiting

Greg Z

Course is in great shape. Greens are nice. Some Tee blocks are a little rough but not too bad. They seem to be managing the social distancing very well. Overall great day.

Don Arkell

Tee blocks terrible most no grass greens had been punched and they charge $56 not worth the money for a par 67

Mack Nodwell

This place has to be the worst golf course in the Waterloo region. Tee blocks have less grass than grand bends beach. The greens have more dimples than a fat baby. The course is so backed up on every hole because golf north’s the biggest scumbags and schedule tee times way too close together. They clearly don’t care about maintaining the course at all. Don’t doubt that they haven’t turned on the sprinklers all year. What. A. Sick. Joke.

Tanja C

Not the prettiest course out there, but I enjoy going a lot. Easy to walk , staff is friendly. Only ever seen a beer cart once, greens are starting to look rough in parts. It's not typically crazy busy

Paula Parejo

Do not recommend for beginners. First time at this course and it will be our last. We were 5 minutes early before our T-time to sign in, and there was no staff to be found. After finally getting someone after 20 minutes (making us late to start) we were consistently rushed the entire experience. The marshalls were unhelpful, and although we allowed 3 groups to move ahead of us, the patrons were impatient and we had a sloppy game. I was unimpressed with the keep of the grounds and the attitude recieved from staff was unnecessary considering it was their mistake for not being at their post. The least they could have done, was to warn the groups after us that we had a late start. It not only spoiled our experience, but the experience of the groups behind us.

dale mieske

Played the course today and it was in terrible shape. It seems that the parent company has cut green maintenance to save money. First cut rough had not been trimmed, some greens were in terrible shape, (mottled and bumpy, virtually unplayable from certain lines) and the bunkers were hard pan as has been mentioned by other reviews. Some tee boxes have partial obstructions. On a positive note, the young staff were very friendly and helpful. However, some basic lessons in food preparation might be in order. Hot dogs - as their name implies - are meant to be served hot. Overall not your best effort by half folks.

Pat Lawler

Course is in good condition. The COVID19 guard wasn't very nice upon check-in. Slow round course was busy.
