Mixed feelings about this place. Music was mostly decent and it was pretty busy on a Saturday. BUT, the cover was steep ($18) and the coat check staff should be embarrassed for themselves. Paid the $3 to check my item and then the girl proceeded to hover my change over the tip jar. When I refused she went from over-the-top fake nice to totally rude. Completely immature and unprofessional behaviour that left me with a bad impression of the place right from the start.

I should be giving it a zero. We waited in line for 20 mintues and a large group barged in front of us. My friend had to use the washroom so she ran across the street and when she came back to join me the bouncer singled her out and said she has to go to the back of line. We tried explaining to him she had to pee but he didnt even want to hear it. We didnt even get to go in because the dbag wouldn't let the one chick join her friend back in line. Pick your battles buddy. Not impressed and will not be recommending this place. The bouncers down the street at Venue were way nicer so I recommend going there.

One of the better club experiences I've had in a while! We emailed to get on guestlist and were told cover would only be free until 10:30, however we arrived at 11 and they still didn't charge which was nice! Bartenders were friendly and quick to serve (Prices are average) Bouncers were also really friendly and helpful - when my friend got separated from our group one of them approached her and offered to help her get back to us. We liked the layout of the club and the fact that there's areas to just chill or play pool away from the dance floor... Overall a pretty good time

loved this club. definitely away from all the youngings you'll find on the granville strip. beautiful exterior and interior, music was good. overall a really good vibe! have to say, lines were a bit disorganized. they could really work on directing people to the right place instead of having us stand in line for 20 mins only to find out we need to be in the other line

UPDATE** management has contacted me and they have reimbursed me by giving me another bottle** Ordered a 405$ ( plus tip) bottle of vodka in VIP last weekend, the server poured 5 drinks and disappeared. I was not able to find her until about an hour after she poured our first drinks. when I was finally able to track down our server she tried to tell me that I never bought a bottle, and they had no idea what I was talking about. I wasn't able to truly voice my frustration as they would just have bouncer throw me out of the club. The shadiest and most unprofessional situation I've ever been put into in a club. I'm out 445$ and will not be returning again.

One of the best clubs in Vancouver. Always have such an amazing time here with my friends and is my go to place for birthdays and special events. I always feel taken care of especially by Nolan Prasad who is the warmest and kindest person I’ve met at 12west. He knows how to treat the ladies and makes us want to come back every weekend! Definitely a fun experience when he’s around.

Smallest dance floor ever, broken glasses everywhere. Why does a bar serve in glass cups? Maybe it was just the night that we went, but it was my friends birthday, we got table service and they completely milked us. Next time I'm invited here I'm going to say hell no. The music was also bad, top 40s from the year 2000, the dj refused to play Uzi Vert for my boyfriend.

If you’re looking for a fun and exciting club, this is not the right place to go to. I won’t recommend this place at all. Their musics that they played on Oct 26 were lame, also the way their bartenders treated us wasn’t great at all. If you DON’T tip their bartenders they won’t serve any drinks to you next time you try to order for more drinks. Even just a $1 tip, they won’t serve you at all. Such a rip off. We didn’t appreciate the service at this place.

Honestly the management here is terrible. Jesus the line and organizational capabilities of this place are below the standard elementary schools impose. People that have stamps and have already been in line are forced to wait ridiculous amounts of time while management literally stands out front doing literally nothing. They held a line of like 80 people outside and promised to let people in once the liquor liscense inspector left. This means they’re faking proper club practices just to pass inspection. Don’t waste your time here there are bars with a much better scene and vibe in the area.

It was my birthday on May 18th, so I chose to celebrate at twelvewest with my friends. I had e-mailed Ian and asked about a guestlist. He said that we are good to go, and I was really excited to just dance the night away. Well. Saturday came and me and my friends ran like crazy from the skytrain to make it in time for the guestlist. We were literally 2 minutes late. The guy at the door said "i can let you and one friend in, but the rest will have to wait in line". Are you kidding me? Not only that but cover was $18? Like okay if we were actually so late I get it. But we were 2 minutes late, AND it was my birthday so I feel like they should have just cut us some slack. This ruined my birthday because I was seriously excited to go here. I've never been and now that I've seen how uncaring the staff was, I definitely will not be back. The girls with the tablets at the front door were so rude, that's why I usually don't go to places like that because I cannot stand snobby people, but I've seen a lineup in front of the place a few times so I thought it would be perfect for my birthday, a new club that I've never been to before. Turns out the place was a disappointment

Purchased tickets for a private event at Twelve West advertised as 8PM-3AM with open bar. Open bar closed after an hour, and all patrons were kicked out at 10:30 and hustled by the bouncers, charged $20 for re-entry, which none of the 100+ attendees did. I'd go literally anywhere else if I could, which is what I've been doing since. Venue, Celebs — anywhere is a better choice.

I decided to celebrate my birthday at Twelve West on Nov. 24th, and got bottle service. The original table we were settled at wasn’t what I wanted, but Ian from management went out of his way to get me and my group of 12 into a different table that was to my satisfaction. He even treated us with a bottle of champagne! Very happy with my birthday experience, the music played was great and made us dance through the entire night. Highly recommended.

Had a friend's party that was booked here. At one point, I had to step out to move my car. I come back and I was told to wait in line. Paid $18 and got a stamp and I had to wait in line for almost an hour. When I was finally let in, the party was over and I was only let back in when I complained to the security guard about it. Only highlight while waiting in line was showing people my stamp and telling them that if I couldn't get back in, what makes them think they will. And also telling people in line the pub across the street had cheaper drinks, which lead me in the front of the line. TL;DR. Wouldn't be let back in with a stamp. Waited in line just to join up with my friends only for it to end when I got let back in.

Was denied entry and treated like garbage by this particular bouncer. He took my phone out of my hand and tried to steal it, I had to alert the police to get it back for me out of his pocket. He made racist remarks about me, inappropriate comments about my appearance, and denied me inside to get my coat. Okay so I'm rating this place 3 stars not because of the scene itself. The setting inside is great really well designed feels like a club on the strip in Miami loved that. But the service was terrible I kid you not waited 45 mins to get a drink re made cuz the first one wasn't even my drink it was given to me by accident. Second the bartenders both one guy and one girl were more interested in mingling with thier friends then serving us few times they left the bar to actually dance with them which was entertaining but not good service. There was one girl behind the bar trying to help everyone while the others just kinda did there thing. I love the atmosphere here and the music was LIT but I just didn't like the service. And front door was a little abnoxious. This place deserves 5 stars but it needs work on the staff.

Extremely rude staff. Waited in line forever as there was confusion with the table we reserved. All of the workers seemed to be in utter chaos and confusion in the entrance. Went with a group of ladies and our bottle service was the absolute worst. When we were seated it took literally a half hour to get our waitress to serve us. I am fairly certain we were either forgotten or ignored. We even had to talk to the manager to get her attention. We asked for water multiple times and she told us to go to the bar and wait. She only brought our bottle around every half hour to forty-five minutes and so we spent a ridiculous amount of money for less than five drinks. Overall extremely disappointing.

Two stars because each time I've been here I haven't had much fun. The crowd is ok but not super social. Music can be a hit and miss. Cover is ur usual as most other places. The staff outside are nice except for a few stuck up female staff. The bartenders especially the female bartenders are more concerned about flirting with guys than serving drinks. They largely ignored the female customers waiting . I guess they feel we won't tip? Which isn't true. I just found them not very friendly. Also unprofessional and kind of raunchy aswell because they dance all raunchy with their friends?customers? I don't know who they are but either way giving lap dances instead of serving drinks is not really impressive. Probably will avoid this place because going out is expensive enough and I rather go out some where I have a good time at.

If you are a coloured person, you will be served with disrespect. I have had several racist experiences here. Most of their good ratings are from their employees, and the friends of their employees! This place is honestly disgusting and I have had enough. This club is run by little egoistic girls and boys. We booked a specific table for my friends birthday a week in advance, and it was confirmed by their employee. Once we got to the club, they continued to tell us there was no table under the name provided. After showing text messages, they did not want to give us the table we had booked and instead gave us the option to pay for a table next to the entrance. They didn't want to provide us with the table next to the dance floor for obvious RACIST money marketing schemes. The bouncers are just rude, the girls at the front are stuck up and disrespectful. The staff of 12west has a lack of management. IF YOU BOOK A TABLE, DON’T EXPECT TO GET IT. Waisted 1 hour here and half our night was almost over. The table we had booked was available, but it must have been saved for a specific choice of colour- we met the club “standards“ of a mixture of girls and boys, so a sausage fest clearly was not the reason we weren’t being given the table we had booked. We went to BAR NONE and they happily provided us with an amazing table option, directly across the dance floor, and quick service. The staff was much more welcoming. Unfortunately, thanks to 12west's unpromising horrible service, our night started at 1am, basically before the clubs are about to close. We ended up spending most of the birthday arguing with 12 west and scramming to find a new place to celebrate thanks to these people. moral of the story, if you want to celebrate your birthday or have a good night, 12west will happily and surely RUIN it for you!!! AND waste your time and money!! They think you are paying them money to receive the service THEY wish to give you. GET IT RIGHT 12WEST!! WE PAY YOU MONEY TO GIVE US THE SERVICE WE HAD ASKED FOR. Please don’t reply back to me denying your racist money marketing schemes, the public is not as uneducated as you believe.

This establishment by far has the worst customer service ever. I’ve only been to 12west twice before last night and from my previous experiences, I swore I would never go back. Unfortunately, a close friend insisted to have her birthday there as she had never been before. Making guest list alone was a headache (Sent an email with the number of people attending. They replied back asking for full names of everyone and upon approval, complimentary cover. We never got a response back). Fast forward to last night (April 28, 2018) when we arrived. Approached the woman working the front who handles the line. I asked her which line was guest list and wanted to see if we had been approved. She pointed to the guest list line and then pointed to the “bus line”. Ive never heard of that before so I asked what the bus line was, to where she responded, “exactly my point, if you don’t know what the bus line is, then go stand in the other”, and turned her back towards me. I did not bother to argue with her, she didn’t even check to see if our guest list had been approved. Instead of waiting we all just decided to leave. This place has always been hyped up for no reason. I think because the cover and drinks are overpriced people just assume they'll have amazing service and a great time but I wouldn’t ever recommend it to anyone. Save yourselves the trouble, there are plenty of amazing places that have a great atmosphere in Vancouver.

After having my table being cancelled on me, the day of the my birthday Nolan quickly stepped in and booked me a table at Twelve immediately.I had the best night and an unforgettable birthday. Twelve West has become my friends and I go to place thanks to him! Cant wait to visit this weekend!!!

I had been to twelve west a few times and had relatively fine experiences for Vancouver nightlife. So I decided to go there for my birthday. I booked two table (this carries a minimum bill of $1600 which I knew and was fine with). When we got there they INSISTED I check my fur coat. I explained I was not comfortable doing that and since I had a table I was fine to keep it with me. They refused to let me take my coat to my table. Eventually they agreed to keep it in an office. I was not really okay with this but I had a group of 12 people with me and at this point it was too late to do anything about it. Imagine my surprise when some Chinese girl walks in wearing her fur coat at her table! I immediately demanded an explanation and obviously they didn't have one. They ended up bringing me my coat after I raised a stink about it. They are obviously racist. Spend your money elsewhere.

Was this an open deck night giving aspiring DJs a platform to learn and gain experience or? Like, aside from the terrible song selection, at least learn to mix properly before red lining your mixer. I am a young Hispanic woman who used to enjoy this club and enjoy the bops. Now every time I try to go with my ethnic friends, and we are in the VIP lineup we receive horrible treatment from this one bouncer, 40 year old white man (If younger has aged very poorly) with more grease in his hair than his personality. He always greets us with dirty looks as if he wants to telepathically deport us. Last night, he refused to let one of my friends in saying her ID doesn’t look like her despite it LITERALLY being her. The police who were thankfully standing there conversing with other bouncers had to get involved and agreed the ID belonged to her and he miserably grunted and reluctantly let us in. I see a lot of other reviews mentioning this racist bouncer, and other people of colour experiencing discrimination from a place where all races are supposed to be welcomed.

This is all about Sat October 27 Twelve West superheroes Halloween Party..We drove from US to spend Halloween in Canada and few of us contacted the club to find out if they were selling tickets and each one us got a different answer! First it was just go on the guest list and buy your ticket at the door for $20 /Then it was No No tickets are $25 Then came the email one day before that tickets are sold online for $35 We showed up in our superheroes costumes and from the minute, we walked in we were harassed until we left! They had issues with our costumes!! BLACK PANTHER was a NO NO! Some short guy from the club had issues with my friend’s Black Panther costume while he was wearing the same costume himself!! HATS AND MASKS WERE NO NO! DO YOU KNOW ANY SUPERHEROES WITH NO MASK? IRON MAN / SPIDER MAN/ BATMAN ….. DON'T DO SUPERHEROES THEME THEN!! One of the worst clubs I have ever been too! They ruined our night! BAD SERVICE / AWFUL EXPERIENCE …. SURE VANCOUVER HAS OTHER CLUBS WE CAN GO TO NEXT TIME! DON'T GO!!!!!

Worst experience ever. Not recommended for big party. The promoter of the twelve west promised us 2 tables are good for 50 people, but when we arrived, we were told that only the first 20 people can get in, all others had to pay or they gonna be kicked out. Even after our friends paid, the bouncers still didn't let them be close to the table we booked because they said they "ran out of wristbands". We ended up being charged for almost twice the price. RIDICULOUS! Will never go again.

I don't know what all the hype is about. Don't waste your money or time here. This establishment seems very disorganized (ex. line up guest list confusion and miscommunication, coat check problems, etc, etc). The lay out of the club is non-functional- the bar is in the middle of the main narrow walkway to the dance floor, which makes it hard to find a spot to stand as the club is small and everyone is trying to order drinks in one area; the bathroom is in an awkward corner area of the dance floor, which makes is hard to get to with people crowding the narrow walkways because there's nowhere else to stand. In between the overpriced and seemingly bare VIP booths lay the tiny dance floor that can easily get cramped, and makes dancing next to impossible.

I recently won an amazing evening out, where my girlfriends and I were treated to dinner at West Oak, champagne at Pierre’s Lounge, and topped with VIP service at Twelve West, with limo service for the evening... All I can say is WOW! The entire evening was above and beyond expectations. Between the customized cocktails, deelish dinner, and bottle service at Twelve West, my girlfriends and I couldn’t have imagined a better evening out. I had the pleasure of dealing with Ian via email, (and he was even at Twelve West to greet us personally, as we arrived) to coordinate the evening, and like I said, flawless. Thank you Ian! I have already referred many friends and clients to each of these establishments. Hugs and high fives to all of your staff for killer service ????????????

I had an awful experience at Twelve West last night. I was trying to celebrate my birthday weekend with a bunch of friends. We made sure to be on the guestlist and even called beforehand to confirm before coming. We waited in the guestlist line from 10pm until 12am and even then a couple of my friends were still held back in the line on purpose after asking the bouncer to let our group go in together. After 2 hours of long wait the woman tells us that we need to pay cover even though we were on guestlist long before the guestlist was done. They also only accepted cash and the ATM machines were declining a bunch of cards. The bouncers wouldn’t even allow my friend in or let us wait for him near the door. We decided to leave!! Awful experience I can at a club with the rudest staff ever!!

Honestly the management here is terrible. Jesus the line and organizational capabilities of this place are below the standard elementary schools impose. People that have stamps and have already been in line are forced to wait ridiculous amounts of time while management literally stands out front doing literally nothing. They held a line of like 80 people outside and promised to let people in once the liquor liscense inspector left. This means they’re faking proper club practices just to pass inspection. Don’t waste your time here there are bars with a much better scene and vibe in the area.

me and my friends usually hangout here. this is a very chill place to stay for a drink or two. I really love this place. Go check this out and taste their in house dishes with a couple of beer!

Have been trying to contact them for days after I was assaulted by a bouncer and my 800$ jacket and brand new iPhone we’re never returned to me after it being left at the club. Has to be one of the worst clubs I’ve ever been too.

Worst place ever !!!! No customer service skills! I made a guest list a week before and messaged them 3 times to confirm it no one got back to me. The bouncer said guys can only get in with a guest list ! Then a group of other guys showed up i asked if they were on the guest list and the wwere like NO. THE BOUNCER LET THEM IN!!!! But they DENIED us!!! Don’t waste ur time goin to twelve west! Go check out other places :)

Bouncer that looks like a sad version of John Ham didnt let in my friend because she wasnt wearing makeup in her photo and had gained about 10lbs. The police were there and thankfully helped her get in. I understand they need to be cautious of fake IDs and not serving minors, but her ID was hers and is not difficult to assume she may have been younger or not wearing makeup, because the facial features were all the same. Later that night, a female bar tender wearing what I can only assume to be a cabbage patch doll's dress, greeted me with a shrug and a glare after I smiled and said hello. I then asked if she was able to serve us after she glared at me, and again, merely shrugged. Once I realized how rude and unprofessional she was being, I became quite short with her as well. She could see my shocked facial expression and could tell I was put off by her behaviour toward us. She continued to give me stank attitude, reluctantly gave us our drinks and then slumped back onto the counter. I assume I was not the only one to experience this behaviour from this woman, and I know I was not the only one to experience this discrimination and utter carelessness from this man. An establishment this poorly staffed, is most often a reflection of how poorly the establishment is run. I have no reason to return and will therefore not be doing so. Good luck twelve west. Looks to me like you have very few good reviews anyway, and those that you do are very likely written by your own staff to over compensate for the complaints you have recieved about your atrocious service. ???? I’m posting this to shame 12west into changing. When I went they forced me and all the ladies to coat check, even though it was relatively empty and very cold in the club. And when I was trying to leave at 11, they would not let me and were forcing me to stay till 12. When I say wouldn’t let, I mean they physically would not allow me to exit their building. Before they had said no in and out rights, but I was just trying to go. The vibe here isn’t fun, it’s an older male scene with young girls. I hope they change because their venue is quite nice and it’s a shame.

Had a party of 10 planned here and communicated via email with someone to assure guestlist. The person seemed nice and everything seemed in order. We get there and there is one long line that is not moving. Obviously we think that's the regular line and the other short line must be guestlist. Nope that line is if you bought a table and the long line is guestlist. So I asked "if that's guestlist then where do people with no table and no guestlist wait?" He said you have to have either one to come in. Never ever seen this before and clearly guestlist means nothing to them. I agree with people saying the staff in RUDE and extremely not helpful. We ended up going to Cabana where they actually wanted to take care of us and offered us a good deal on a table with bottle service which we ended up doing.
