Despite being overwhelmingly busy due to the festival, we were promptly seated and served beverages. We ordered the fish & chips, possibly the best we have ever had. The servings were sizable enough that my wife I shared a plate of 2 fish sticks along with the fries, coleslaw and garden salad($17). Our meal was served hot and in a very reasonable time frame. We highly recommend this meal and pub! The service was Fantastic and very courteous. We will return soon!

Waitresses are friendly and service excellent. I saw the Tom Savage Trio with Bonz Bowering on drums-and it was excellent. 2 Photos are posted- note the smoke machine! It's a sports bar with 2 interesting rooms with a tabled veranda just above street level. Parking is great.

I was a customer here on an admittedly busy Saturday night. We were seated at the last table and I was given a broken bar chair to sit on (missing a cross support, very wobbly to the point of falling off). I immediately requested to my group that we go somewhere else. But since the server told us there was l a mere 30 minute wait for food, they wanted to stay. 20 minutes later, she finally returned to take our orders. After 45 minutes waiting, we desired to ask how much longer, but the server was clearly avoiding us. When we finally waved her down and asked her to cancel the food if it wasn't ready yet, she said it was being plated RIGHT NOW. Alright. 15 minutes later and we wanted to leave again. Server, once again, wouldn't come near our table. Finally she brought out the food, apologizing (flatly) for the wait. We ate our food over the next 20 minutes and watched our server avoid us some more. One of our party of four realized they had been served the incorrect salad. 30 minutes after being served the food and we hadn't been checked up on. Plenty of socializing by our server with other guests and employees, though. We sat finished (except for the untouched salad) for another 15 minutes, desperate for the bill so that we could leave. I can understand the difficulty of being a server in a busy restautant (I was too at one point) but the passive aggressiveness that the server exhibited when she realized we were dissatisfied was completely unprofessional. If she happens to read this review (she will recognize this story), I just want to tell her that I don't blame her for the wait or the lack of seating. However, if she wants to make more consistent tips by offering a basic quality of service, I would recommend that she lose the egotistic attitude towards guests and be more honest and communicate better. I wouldn't have minded the extended wait if I didnt feel like our table was invisible. Perhaps the other servers offer a better experience at this restaurant. However, I will be avoiding this place from now on. NOT recommended for anyone on any sort of schedule. TL;DR: The server treated us like garbage. Watching her laugh and chat with her coworkers while we sat with empty glasses was frustrating. I don't even remember the quality of the food because of how upset I was that our evening was ruined. If you want to be ignored by your server and be told fantasy wait times for your food, this is the pub for you.

Not a welcoming feeling entering this place. The hostess was slow and unfriendly. When we were seated at our table it was sticky....maybe a cleaning solution and wet cloth might of helped? We waited a long while for our waitress to come by to take our drink order. Turns out her other tables all cashed out at the same time, so why didn't hostess who was standing doing nothing help out? No Team work in this place, or just No Service? Our waitress was friendly and food was good. Women's bathroom was discustingly dirty. This place needs a new cleaning staff and new hostess. We wouldn't return!!

This is a great little pub! Staff is super friendly and always helpful and ready to please. They have live music here. The food is great pub fair and reasonably priced. The over all building needs a little renovating but the atmosphere and the people far out weigh the minor run down look. I have been here several times ( almost every time I was in Brockville ) and have always had great conversations with complete strangers. This pub attracts good personalities. I am yet to be disappointed.

As an ex local, I often come back to this bar with friends. Every time I come, the food isn't bad, fairly average compared to the surrounding restaurants, but the service has been below average for years. I can't figure out why, but it appears that the bar is understaffed. It takes forever to get drinks, forever to place food orders. Story... We ordered a Cesar, and it was excellent. When we ordered the second, compared to the first Cesar, it was missing the pickled bean, skimpy on the salt, and didn't have any spice compared to the first one. When we told our server that the drink wasn't as good as the first one, she told us that the bar tender was busy and didn't have time to complete the drink, and that she could bring some Tabasco. Unfortunately for Brockville, not a lot of choices downtown for food deals, especially a wing night, but the service at this bar has always been terrible. I wonder if this could be resolved by having enough staff during these busy times. Next time I review this bar, I hope I can write a better review

Nice local pub along the main strip in Brockville. Long outdoor patio along the sidestreet with plenty of seating. Lots of room and seating inside too for groups. The staff was very friendly and attentive. There's also a Jägermeister machine so your drinks are always the correct temperature! Cheers! ????

Back to the Keystone Pub in Brockville Ontario on Sunday for lunch. I was hoping that the food would be as good as the first time we were there. No worries, mate. Cod and chips with baby greens salad, vinnegrette dressing, coleslaw that was brilliant, tartar sauce that is made in-house, cod with a light crisp batter and 'never - enough' fries. I mean that every single thing in my plate was very good. That is awesome!!! Sorry. No pictures.????

Our first visit was actually quite decent, though the second time we tried to visit, we were quite rudely greeted and told that despite an opening time of 11:00am, that at 11:50 they weren't ready for us. When we had the audacity to ask when they might be open, the lady abruptly pronounced that she didn't know. She must have felt the stares at the back of her head, as she eventually went in, then came out and said "at the very least, 15 minutes". And then left us standing outside in the 33 degree heat (with 4, 6 and 90 (!) year olds) without so much as a "Would you be interested in coming inside while you wait". It must be nice to have too much business that you are happy to walk a group of 8 tourists away in such a rude fashion. With so many other businesses around happy to have our patronage, my advice is to skip this restaurant and visit somewhere that will almosy certainly better appreciate your business.

Had a wonderful experience when here last. My bud and I came for the cheap wing night, and all though it wasn't really all that "cheap", it was great quality. The service was wonderful as a frequent patron of my place of work was our waitress. The atmosphere was nice and the other customers were seemingly relaxed and at home there. First time visit today, was not busy at all. Needs to be cleaned on the outside patio area (entrance), how hard can that be,make it look nice its your business Costs nearly nothing to clean windows and tables. The food was not very good for us.Fish was greasy , maybe old cooking oil, Cole slaw looked ancient didnt even try it,wings were ok but too big for me, dont have the same flavor when that big. Wait staff was slow and unattending. Wouldn't recommend this one, although a little muscle and elbow grease could make this place a great old time pub again

This was my first visit to the Keystorm since moving to Brockville, but I will for sure be making this place a regular destination. I'm writing this review from a table in the restaurant to give a HUGE shout out to AMANDA! I have a 7 year old girl, and twin 3 year old boys, and she has them eating out of her hand!!! She is an absolute delight, and if you have the absolute pleasure of having her as your server, your outting will be a pleasurable and memorable one!! Great atmosphere and totally worth stepping in!

Tried Keystorm pub while visiting relatives in Brockville on a Sunday. Located in stone building on main thoroughfare. Spacious, pub serving simple tasty food and drinks. Good coffee, nice breakfast choices. I had the Keystorm eggs Benedict which were eggs Benedict on a crab cake. Generous serving, attentive friendly service with bottomless coffees all around. There were 12 of us and they accommodated all without hesitation.

Apparently we can not give a one star. For the Brockville area this is one of the few places people can visit for live entertainment and drinks. Service is HORRIBLE! Management seriously needs to consider their staff. Less than 20 people tonight and we left as it was imposible to get service. 3 servers on the floor and they were more interested in their smoke breaks and flings. We literally had to wave our server down to get our bill. She would not have even noticed if we would have left. The food here tends to be good, the drinks aee decent, but the service is killi g this business. This was not a typical night at the keystorm but twice I havw had these servers and they have encouraged me to find another bar.

My wife and I both ordered the Greek wrap, and were disappointed. There was no mushroom, just eggplant, peppers, feta and spinach, and it was quite oily tasting. Some tzatziki and cucumber in the wrap would have brought a nice freshness. The service was good.

First thing we noticed were the sticky tables and the dirty sticky menus.I wonder how clean the kitchen was? The food wasn't good. My husband asked for butter and they gave him margarine. Barf! The plate I got for sharing wasn't enough for one person...approx. 1 tlbsp cheese, less than 1/4 c prosciutto that was tough, few tiny slices of brie, some dry smoked salmon and a large chunk of what looked like partially ground up sun dried tomatoes. Was a good time however when we went outside to have a cigarette and then tried going back in to the rest of the people who were with us inside, we were told we had to join the back of the line of people waiting to go inside. My wife and I shared an appetizer and had our own entrees. The food was really good and the portions were proportionate to the fair prices. Somewhat friendly and attentive staff. Seemed to pay more attention to a few at the bar. Our waitress seemed to have an unsightly untreated cold sore around her mouth. Despite the food from being good, it left my wife and I with the Hershey squirts for over a week. We will not be eating there again.

Obviously the Keystorm pub is quite popular; whenever I am there on Wednesday night's "Open Mic" night starting at 8 PM, the place is jam-packed. And why wouldn't it be? It is a magnificent building with a lot of historic aesthetic and it is in a great location right beside the Cenataph (sp?) right in the centre of downtown King Street. The pub itself is quite spacious but be sure to grab your seat quickly on Wensday nights and weekend nights because it is pretty much first-come-first-serve and you may lose your opportunity to find a place to sit. This pub does serve some good food and has an interesting selection - albeit confined to a single one-page menu - but be warned it can get a bit expensive. It is rare to find anything $10 or less and the average seems to be $15 - $18. But it never disappoints and if you've got the cash then I very much recommend eating there. And one of my favourite things about the Keystorm is that it serves late. I've seen people order food at close to 10 PM whereas in other pubs like the Union Jack the kitchen closes at 7 PM. So don't take that for granted. The drink menu is not that bad, with a very reasonable selection of craft beers available as well as draft beer, wine and liquor. The atmosphere is great, too. Lively and energetic without being actually rowdy, which is another thing I like about the Keystorm. You will find the nicest people there who are only looking to have a good time with others. One common complaint I hear about the Keystorm is that it is loud and noisy, which is true. That is something you may need to cope with. But it also has an air of friendliness and openness that you don't find as much in other Brockville pubs. And despite the loudness and the croudedness, the staff there still manages to provide great friendly and intuitive service. I don't often need to wait long before I get a drink refill, often I get one before I am finished the first glass. And the staff are cheery and upbeat as well, which is another thing not to take for granted. If you do want a mood-lifter then the Keystorm is a good place for that. So all in all, I highly recommend the Keystorm for those who are looking for what it tries to offer, because it offers that very well. Sure, there are flaws; it can be crowded, noisy, not much in the way of heating, and you do need to find a seat quickly. But that is more-or-less up to you to decide whether all that is worth it.

Dan Thompson and the Keystorm Pub staff, I am new to Brockville, I was just on your patio and am positively speechless! Absolutely incredible. I should admit I am not impressed easily but the fresh strawberry daiquiri (yes, fresh strawberries!) and my half nachos were by far the best I’ve ever had. I applaud you! Service was very friendly and I respect that it took longer as the servers were exercising more caution and Covid measures than are even required. Social distancing was also respected. Plates were removed with gloves, name and number were taken in case of outbreak. Very admirable as some could complain about these procedures and the extra time they take. But in these times we must exercise patience for safety measures. Well done!! I’ll definitely be back. The keypad is sanitized after every use, I saw this for myself. Did I mention FRESH strawberry daiquiris?! ???? Kudos to Amanda and the Keystorm staff!! If you are concerned with Covid 19 precautions and safety measures, this is definitely the place to enjoy a patio!! I have recently heard people are calling the staff names for working. This is just nasty and you should be ashamed of yourselves! These people are no different than other service staff who have families to take care of. Show kindness or simply be quiet. Let’s support local businesses before we lose them.
