Originally Attempted to try out Wendell Clarks across the street but they had Horrible service. So we remembered a friend recommending Carve on lot 5 and boy it did not disappoint!! Great Food, Great Service and nice atmosphere. We all had the specials and every one said they were very good. As we were finishing up we mentioned to our server it was our first time to the restaurant and that we were very happy with the experience and would be back Not 2 min later the Owner came out to talk to us. Was a great experience. Definitely would recommend this place.

My experience at carve, firstly the cheap decor that fills the place, it seems like they don’t know what look they’re aiming for, sitting down on the unmounted bench seats that slide when you put your back against them, the server greeted us with the daily specials and some water, after fluffing the integrity of the specials she left, and when she returned proceeded to take our order, when questioned on the origins of the product our server left and we were greeted with a stare from the chef, and the manager (maybe) coming up to us and telling us the cod we had ordered was Icelandic, 10minutes later, our food on the table, now, I don’t really think that 2 pieces of cod, one drenched in Tex mex cheese mix from the local no frills and a lemon wedge takes much, but anyways, dinner was fine, it lived up to the expectations that were present one entering carve, now, I’m my opinion for the menu, they’re all over the place, it seems like they can’t decide what restaurant to be, maybe the menu is based on what frozen goods they have that week, but hey 44$ for some cheaply prepared food, in a cheaply presented restaurant, you can’t expect much, I give 2 stars because there is room for improvement, and by reading the other reviews present here it seems like the owners take notice to customer input, so keep improving carve It seems like the only way to write back to an owners response is to edit my review, so here it is, First, Pointing out that we could have been moved still does not negate the fact that a little more time and care could have been taken into the building of those benches, like anti slip pads at the bases Second I’d like to approach your explanation of no frills business model and where I stand on it, I referred to the cheese placed on the “Cod au gratin” not in a way to attack a place like no frills, but thank you for treating it like that however to approach it as a easy way for a restaurant to create a plate as such “which is normally made with smoked cheddar and a bechemel sauce” Now if you remember correctly, I also had the fish and chips, which totaled the bill to the formentioned 44$ And that’s fine that a majority of your guests love it, unfortunately not everyone has the same palate, like in this case Thank you for you’re response, and like I said, keep improving

I have been here a few times on different occasions. The ground floor area is relatively bland, but the rooftop patio is a great escape in downtown Brampton. Unfortunately, the food is overpriced and has been disappointing every time. I have come here with a coworker for lunch breaks and it's shocking to pay $20 for a simple salad or $16 for any appetizer at a place like this. Also, despite the restaurant being relatively empty, we were served very slowly. We informed the waitress we were in a rush to our next meeting and we still had not received our food after half hour for the two of us. The service is always friendly, but don't plan on stopping here for a quick lunch. Also, it's not an upscale place either, so I wouldn't associate this with a romantic date night out or any formal gathering.

I really enjoyed my meal here, boy do they know how to cook meat. I had the Yorkie bowls to start (yummy, although the beef was dry) and a half rack of ribs as my main. The rub on the ribs was delicious! However, I would not recommend getting anything that isn't meat. I had a veggie dish another time and it was mediocre at best. The wait staff is very kind and ensured my 13 month old got an appropriate meal. However, and this is a big however, there are TVs everywhere! When I am out for a nice meal with my family and paying the prices Carve charges I do not want to be surrounded by television! It makes the think the restaurant is trying to be half upscale and half a bar? Weird. But yummy.

The staff is great and the food is amazing. The prime rib dinner with fries can not get a high enough rating from me. The beer is a little pricey but the atmosphere and roof top patio makes up for it!!

Very affordable to eat here and surprisingly the food taste like gourmet but the prices do not resemble that. This place is by far the best bang for your buck and the menu has something for everyone. Highly recommended and personally this is my favorite spot to eat in the downtown brampton area. Nothing beats Carve on Lot 5 !

This was a such a wonderful night. It is so refreshing to have people make you feel welcomed in their restaurant. Its so sad but true. From the moment we came in the waitress(Pauline) was so welcoming and warm. She made us feel very special. Her customer service was amazing. I wish more restaurants would take the time to work on developing reoccurring business. I would give Crave more than 5 stars if I could. Keep up the great work guys. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great and the service was awsome.

Windows were wide open to Main Street and it was noisy and once sun went down, it became very cool. The noise affected conversation. Wasn't a busy until after 7 pm, when a few groups of people arrived. Interesting menu and quite varied in the food offerings - more than just meat being carved.

I came with a friend to check out the roof top patio. I had a burger.. I mean how can you go wrong with a burger.. It was the size of a slider in a regular size bun. The inside of the buyer .. i think it was still alive.. The outside on the bottom (well hidden) was burnt.. and i don't mean charred...like for flavor. You couldn't even taste anything but burn. It was super disappointing. The Parmesan fries were good but you couldn't really taste the Parmesan. I had one bite of the burger and told the bartender.. Poor guy ran two flights of stairs to talk to the manager. He came back and said the manager would come talk to me. Awhile later i saw him run back downstairs. When he returned he said the manager would take 50% off... i don't know why i had to pay 50% for the burger after all i couldn't eat it due to it being burnt. The fact that the manager wouldn't walk to 2 flights of stairs to talk to me personally was very disappointing. My friend order the Club Sandwich she said it was rather bland and she said the chicken almost tasted boiled.. She wasn't impressed. The bartender was amazing he was attentive, apologetic but overall just great. I would come back to have drinks if he was serving but i would never order food there again.

My family and I held a private event at Carve on Lot 5 this past weekend (reception following a funeral service for my mother). Pauline, the owner, and her staff were wonderfully attentive both leading up to the event and during the event. The food was of excellent quality and fed and satisfied everyone. The staff were very amenable to finding a budget and menu that met our needs and would make us happy. The ambience was just right - a mix of class and casual. Kids and family of all ages enjoyed the beef dips, chicken sandwiches, caesar salad, fries/sweet potato fries and of course the mac and cheese. I would happily recommend Carve on Lot 5 to anyone.

I had a table of 5 and we waited 45 minutes before the girl took our orders and another 30 until the food came out. 4/5 of our table members got their food while the other ones order was wrong. We sent it back and it took another 15 minutes for her food to come back out. By this time, one of our group members had finished their dinner while the rest of us didn't like the food. I ordered Butter Chicken, which I have had many times before that tasted properly while this one tasted like tomato soup out of a can. Overall as a group we were very dissatisfied with the service, food, and overall atmosphere. I definitely do not recommend this place. If you're going here for a birthday, I hope you're not expecting a free desert or for them to say happy birthday to you because they did neither. We were not even offered a desert menu. Take your business somewhere it will be appreciated.

Was pleasantly surprised with a great experience here. Brought my elderly parents here for my Dad’s birthday and they made sure to seat us close to the door so he did not have to walk too far. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the food was great. Everyone really enjoyed the meal. (And that is rare with our family :)) Would definitely recommend this place as above and beyond most places in Brampton that we’ve visited.

The atomosphere was great and above all else the food was fantastic. I am so happy this roof top exists as I've never seen one in brampton before. We ate here a month ago and the service was a little off but the beef ribs were so amazing that we forgave the mediocre service. We figured the new owners were still finding their footing. So, tonight we gave them another chance and brought out friends to try the amazing ribs. They only had 3 servings of ribs so a few of us tried the burgers and a few had the steak. The burger was good. It was handmade in the restaurant but was described in the menu as a "tempting cheesy, cheese burger" but it arrived with no cheese. The steaks were disappointing, not the greatest cut of meat but also overcooked. Overall, everything was just a little bit "off". With a little more effort, this place could be really good.

My wife and I like to support local Restaurants in the Brampton area, so we thought we would drop by and have dinner at On Lot 5 tonight. We used to dine here quite frequently when the restaurant was known as Carve Lot 5. We always enjoyed our meals previously and we were excited when we heard the place had reopened and thought we have to check it out. It seems like it is under new ownership. Unfortunately, the restaurant now is not even close to the old Carve Lot 5, other than the fact that it is in the same building. When we arrived tonight we were seated right away which was nice and the dining room was not busy, another 3 tables other than us. We were given water with lemon which was nice, but then we waited for the one and only server to come by to greet us. we must have waited 10 minutes before she finally came over. We asked what beer they had on tap and we were told they only had bottled beer. When we asked about the wine selection we were told red & white, that was it, so we stuck with our waters. Then we ordered our meals, we asked if we could share a Caesar Salad to start and then my wife ordered the Salmon and I went for the Cajun Pasta with chicken. We then waited again, we waited for about 15 minutes for the Salad, which was originally sent to the wrong table. When the Server brought it she only brought the Salad and one additional bowl for us to share. Normally we are given the bowl of Salad and two smaller bowls to share the Salad on to. Then about 20 minutes later our Entrees came out. The Pasta looked great and tasted wonderful, perhaps a bit oily, but it was fine, the chicken was delicious, but there was just not enough Pasta! Pasta is cheap as chips, why would you not give a good healthy portion?? My wife had the Salmon which was a very small piece, served with some greasy rice and some underdone vegetables. Within the first bite or so my Wife was dismayed to find 3 large bones. After that, she was not able to stomach eating any more of the Salmon. We told one of the other Servers (wearing track pants) who we believe she may have been one of the owners about the Salmon and she said that is the way it comes?? Are you kidding me, we eat in many restaurants around the world and none of them serves a Salmon filet with huge bones like that in it. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience at your restaurant this evening and I think you really need to work on the quality of the food. We heard 3 people at the other tables complain that their steaks were not cooked to the proper temperature. You have a small boutique Menu which good, but the quality and speed in which it is served needs to improve drastically. Also, hire some additional staff and get some decent wines and beers in there. The server we had was very quiet, unorganized and lacked the skills to serve people properly. I know it is hard to run a restaurant in the Brampton area, but you need to up your game big time if you want to build a loyal clientele and be able to stay in business in this area.

Might give it a second try, but probably not. Our entire service was 1.5 hours for two beers and two main courses, no starters, no dessert. It took about 20 min to get our beers. The server didn't tell us until 10 min in that they were having trouble pouring beer, which we received 10 min later. Our food came 60 min after we were seated. The food quality was average, portions were on the small size and not good enough for a 60 min wait. Server offered us free dessert for the wait which we declined. We would have appreciated one or both of our beers being compensated automatically for the lengthy service.

We came for Taste Of Brampton but ordered off the regular menu instead. Food was so tasty! Portions were a little small but perfectly filling. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and fast service. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options that look as tasty as the meat-ful dishes! Definitely recommended.

I found the dessert to be the best part but very misleading to its description and cannot be shared among 2 people. My meal was cold when I received it and tasted blan. The food did not live up to the hype and the pricing did not match either. It also took a long time for staff to come to take our order, bring our food, check up on us and bring the bill. So my friend said she wanted to try this place and I proceeded to google. I saw that the reviews were generally good and I was excited to try an actual Brampton restaurant that's supposedly good as I always venture to Toronto to eat well. I had called and got reservations for 5 and my friend told me that they have a patio. I must say the patio is nice and the view of downtown Brampton is nice as well. My server Jessica was simply delightful (even though she lied about trying the food and I over heard her telling her fellow waitress that she was vegan and hates the thought of handling meat but I digress). The menu was limited and I asked for a sangria which was not on the menu. From the look on Jessica's face, she had never made one and I overheard her saying she is going to wing it based on the fact that she saw a "Jason" fellow who I assumed work there, did it a few weeks back. The sangria Jess made was amazing! Cuba level good. She put too much wine in it but that's the good part. I was not complaining. Now Miss Manager from downstairs came up and asked me what I was drinking. I said a sangria. She asked me who made it and I said Jessica. She then without asking, took my drink up and said it wasn't made correctly. Without asking me if I have any issues with said drink. I told her I was fine with the drink and she said no she has to make it correct. She had me there waiting 15 minutes while she waited for jess to wait on her table. My table was right by the bar. She proceeded to condescending tell Jessica that she does not know what she is doing. She told Jessica she gave me 18 dollars worth of wine. What? Girl sit down. She asked Jessica what she put in and the ingredients sound right to me. Madame Manager proceeded to make a new poor excuse for a sangria with , wait for it, oasis juice. So after she gave me the pink(not traditional red) sangria. I said to Jessica that this is the most overpriced koolaid I have ever had in my life. My friends came to join me and one ordered a sangria and said it had no alcohol. Glad someone agreed with me. I had the stuffed dates with bacon and goat cheese which was good. Now when I wheh my friend and I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich, we were told that it came with fries and there was no extra cost for sweet potato(which is unlike every other restaurant). So my friend and I decided that I would take normal and she would do SP so we could taste both. The fries came and my normal fries were soggy and had huge salt grains on them like she went and dipped them in the Dead Sea. I said nah I can't eat this. My blood pressure would spike on that patio. So I was just not going to eat it. My friend who took me out in the first place insisted that I switch to SP. I told Jess and as said sure. Ten minutes later her manager came and said it would be an extra charge. I'm thinking ofcourse that makes sense because any restaurant would charge around 2-3 dollars for a substitute. Guys this lady said we had to pay a full on side order price for the fries... :/ pardon me??? I was ready to be like uhmmm no. I'll just have the sandwich. My friend however said that's fine. She will pay for it. (U have to love friends like this ..side bar). It must also be noted that the manager didn't approach our table herself and this was after the food had taken around 45 minutes to present itself. We had the cheesecake for dessert which was bitter. At the ends my friends were very disappointed and also stated that the food was not worth the price and their overall experience wasn't a good one and they are most likely not going to return. I think Jessica was fantastic but the manager really need to work on her people skills. She also instructed Jessica to throw the drink she made initially down the drain. She is ridiculous. I would have gladly paid extra for that awesome spiked sangria. My advice to the manager : you have workers and not children. You have to trust their judgement and empathize with your clientele/patrons. You just lost three big foodies each with our own relatively huge local social media network.

I really wanted to like this place. Environment was great, was excited for a potential local spot. What I loved was the warm greeting by a lady who was part owner. The drink I ordered was good, it looked like a positive experience. But then it went downhill after that. I ordered the jerk chicken as that’s a popular item of theirs and I was excited to try something local and new. Anyways, an hour almost went by and my food came, I didn’t think it would take an hour for a sandwich. So the guy comp me the drink and packed the meal to go. I was very upset as I rarely take time off to myself to enjoy a dinner. Anyways on the way out, the lady who greeted me asked about my experience and I told her. Even though her gesture of having me back on her was nice I declined for the simple fact that if they cared the meal would have been comped right there and then. To add insult to injury, the fries were soggy like redeepfried fries as I was nibbling on them as I drove to my next appointment. I think that upset me the most. An hour wait and I get soggy fries that barely kept its shape as I was trying to eat it. I wanted to go back and complain but decided it wasn’t worth it. The lady seemed nice and hopefully gets her staffing issues resolved because no new customer would go back after this experience. I mean maybe if it was my second or third time of receiving excellent service I would maybe consider this place again but not as a first time goer. Best of luck to you cause you seemed very nice. Little update. Just ate my jerk chicken and I must admit it was good. So maybe I’ll give it a second chance.

Very nice place to eat. A lot of TV so I think the idea for the restaurant is a bar meets upscale dinning meets place to watch the game. It is a bit confused on what it is and there by doesn't 100% delivery on any... That said it has good food and very nice staff that are willing to meet you where you are at.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! My wife and I went here for our first time tonight. We are more than impressed with our evening. The introduction and service from Shannon was well above any expectations for a restaurant. All food here is very high quality, fresh, hand made, veg., vegan, gluten, top notch meat. There are stories behind the menu, which is wide but not large with unnecessary filler. The portions were perfect. Specials were tempting and we tried one. Great drink list. Our meals were absolutely outstanding, I can’t say enough. We are definitely coming back. There are two levels of indoor dining and a ROOFTOP PATIO with bar, the only one in Brampton. This restaurant is a must!!

Very slow service, there was hair in three of our plates of food. And the older lady was very rude when explaining to us about the hair and just picked it out and threw it on the floor. Took over an hour for us to get our food. Took half an hour for one beer and 45 minutes for a water. Chicken came out so cold.

We were looking forward to trying this restuarant and unfortunately it didn't meet our expectations. Everything we ordered was over cooked. We both had the caesar salad although mine was with chicken which was diced and preseasoned. The bruschetta lacked flavour - need to use include garlic and the bread was burned. My husband's burger was overdone and the taste was not appealing. This is a great little spot with a nice ambience and potential. They need to improve their food.

My family and I recently held a surprise birthday dinner here. The service is exceptional! The team at Carve on Lot 5 were very helpful during the planning process and so patient on the day of the event. I truly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back. I even had a couple guests inquiring about the venue by the end of the night because they were so pleased. A special shout out to Shannon, Pauline, Shanna and a young gentleman whose name I didn't get (sorry); you all were a great help. Came in as a group of 6 people, on a Friday night in October. We went inside and since it was so nice outside (20+ degrees), we asked if it was possible to sit on the patio. Initially, one of the staff members said it was closed for the season. No big deal, but we turned around to try another place. Not 1 minute later, the OWNER of the location comes outside and asks us to reconsider + that she will open up the patio JUST FOR US! The owner was very friendly throughout the night, and made it feel like the night revolved around us. She even opened up the roof-top bar & mixed us drinks. Great experience & truly a hidden gem in downtown Brampton. Give these guys a shot!

Very enjoyable! We came here for an early dinner and it was a great choice. The salmon was cooked to perfection and pulled pork was very tender. The service was very quick and attentive. Would definitely recommend and will be returning!

Amazing experience. Food taste very fresh; delicious food options I personally cannot find anywhere else in Brampton. I've been here more than a couple times my two fav dishes are the Paella and Veg curry bowl, also love the brownie for dessert. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner, shes sweet and passionate, staff is always professional and on point. The ROOF TOP patio is poppin in the summer time you would have to go all the way to Toronto to find a Patio like it! Over all great experience for me and highly recommend this restaurant for any great dinning experience.

I had an amazing first experience at this restaurant. I went on a Tuesday evening and it wasn’t busy at all. Our waiter Kevin, was super friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The menu had so many awesome choices! The bruschetta feta was my favourite dish of the night. Lovely quality food at great prices. I will definitely be going back. This is a new restaurant in the heart of Brampton. I was extremely surprised with the rooftop patio and it's views of downtown Brampton. The food was delicious! Highly recommend the burger! Crystal and Sira were amazing with the service. They even helped put together a unique anniversary dessert for us! This is a great place to go for lunch, dinner with friends or even a couple of drinks! The atmosphere here is so fun and enjoyable. If you can go to hidden gem in Brampton, you definitely should!

So far my favourite restaurant in Brampton! Lots of delicious menu items to choose from... took our group forever to order everything sounded amazing. Our waitress was very pleasant and bubbly whose mom works with her! What a cute duo. The food took a little longer than expected to come out but understandable with the upstairs event happening. Everything was reasonably priced from the fresh top grade beef, vibrant salads, organic coffee all the way to the "crack" of the crème brulée. Parking nearby was free after 7pm. Will definitely go back.

Its not often you will be served good food late at night in Restaurants around town, but the staff at Carve really surprised me recently. I ordered a beef dip diner at 11:30 at night and received a sandwich chock full of super tender prime rib roast beef and the au jus dipping sauce was so good, I was tempted to drink it right out of the bowl. The menu has quite a few options that are well priced for late night dining, so I'll definitely be back the next time hunger strikes.

Wonderful service and accomodation, beautiful atmosphere:):) The hours are a bit weird on a weekend, they have a rooftop patio, but if you wanna go during the summer on a weekend they, and many other restaurants aren't open until 4 or 5 I get it, it's right across from rose theatre so you have the dinner and a show crown, but wouldn't you still want to take advantage of the daytime crowd on a gorgeous summer day? Other then the odd hours, everything is amazing here! Very happy they provide vegan and vegetarian options, even though it is a meat based food place.

Took my friends out last night to try this place. My pregnant friend was basically harassed for using the washroom as we entered and we were not greeted pleasantly at all. We were told in a very rude manner that we could not sit outside as there was a private party, which we understood completely. However the waiter did not offer for us to sit inside... I had to ask . Like obviously we would like a table. He was very short with us and made it quite clear he wasn’t pleased we were there. Super uncomfortable. We decided not to order and give business to this establishment. We left. Very disappointing. The management really needs to train their servers better. Especially when this is a farely new restaurant, your atmosphere isn’t Good enough for me to overlook bad service.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The place is cute and the service was quick. The server was very attentive and checked up frequently. We ordered these mushrooms for the appetizers they were sooo good. I got veggie curry bowl, it was not bad but sort of bland for my taste... The peppers in the curry needed to be cut in smaller pieces. My husband ordered paella he really enjoyed the dish. The dessert was good ordered the brownie and creme brulee. Some ice cream with the brownie warmed up would have been amazing.
