The vibe here was great and the music was great but we had a reservation for 6pm, we waited 30 minutes before I finally went up and asked who our server was because we wanted to order drinks, 20 more minutes went by before she finally arrived to take our drink order. She delivered drinks and we never saw her again. We waited 2 hours and never got to order food or another round. One friend that came late never even got to order drinks after going up to the bar to ask for service. We even had to has for our bill after being there for over 2.5 hours. We never got to order food or more drinks.

Mac's is amazing! The food is great, often organic and locally sourced. The people are friendly and the service is excellent! It is also terrific how Mac's showcases the local musical talent! What an awesome place to dance, laugh and just be yourself. The Tuesday Blues Jam is really rocking! It is the best kept secret in Eugene! My only wish is that they still had their wonderful chicken piccata on their menu as it was my favorite dish in town! Thank you Mac's for being home to many fantastic memories of eating great food, dancing to wonderful live music and enjoying the Eugene nightlife with friends.

About 15 of us met at Mac's for dinner and to hear Gus and Paul play jazz. The music was great but the service and food was lacking. We all looked at the menu on line and when we got to Mac's and started to order, we were told that the menu online was old...3 years old!!!! It was much better than the current menu. Several of us ordered Reubens and the bread was soggy, ...I could go on, but our advice is to go full and order a drink or two and dance to the great music.

Went to Macs Restaurant by recommendation to celebrate my sister's birthday. Seven of us sat at their "Round Table" , staff was quick to take.our drink orders and delivered with a.smile and friendly staff and patrons all around were pleasantly happy. Fried oysters were very tasty and a.very generous pour on our chosen wine was appreciated. Thank you all!

Rude staff, poor service. We sat for 45 minutes, never had a waitress ask us for a drink or food order. Most of clientele are older folks. Overall negative vibe. Music nothing special, just mediocre jazz. Why all the positive reviews? Perhaps cos it's easy for friends and staff to post bogus reviews on google and yahoo.

I love the warm, energetic atmosphere, the food is very good, bar tenders nice. but the only reason I go is the live music. sometimes it's a jam, sometimes a traveling band, sometimes a name band from Portland. the dance floor is not big but fine for a little dancing if the band reaches the audience. I went to the Woodstock Tribute last night and it was wonderful! The musicians put an a fantastic performance. I ate an excellent dinner including a smoked salmon fillet wrapped and baked in filo dough and their signature mac and cheese. It was amazing

Meet prior employees from years ago, who offer up some delightful stories and maybe some Individuals who now in their 70's who recount their memories of this Great old origanally restored bldg. Transformed into a wonder dinning and nightclub experience with Great food and great evening entertainment! People keep coming back for all kinds of events. Rental rooms for gatherings and a kitchen that had a Chef and crew that handle all the catering. Real handy to have all this at one site! Defiantly recommend this for everyone to take a tour and stay and have some wonderful starters and a drink or two. So comfortable, stay for dinner and music.

Ok, after Covid update. New Menu. No pizza any longer. However, if you want the BEST wedge salad in this whole area. Please, try one here! Holy Cow, not only was it huge, but it was literally smothered in toppings. I actually ordered it with an extra, I added Smoked Salmon to it. It was made with half a head of lettuce! I kid you not, there's no better Wedge Salad anywhere around here! My dining partner ordered a Cheeseburger & Tots. MY PIZZA REVIEW BELOW IS PRIOR TO COVID...FYI If you order anything, PLEASE order the Thai Chicken Pizza! You will NOT find such an amazingly decadent flavor of pizza anywhere! My gosh, who knew that a restaurant, that's not a pizza parlour would make such an indescribable mouth watering pizza! Even the 4 yr old & the 9 yr old, couldn't stop eating it. Now that says A LOT. Try it, you'll be hooked.

Mac's offers a welcome reprieve from the trendy, industrial and impersonal atmosphere and limited menu options so prevalent in the Eugene areas restaurants/bars these days, and is the only club my husband and I frequent on a regular basis. When it's just the two of us, we love sitting at the bar for dinner (selected from a real hand-held menu full of a delightful mix of higher-end pub appetizers and good old fashioned comfort food), a brew or two and chance to check in with the bartender, servers and - if we are lucky, the resident chef. Mac's is also our first choice when introducing visiting guests to the "real" Eugene and it's musical heritage. It is the watering hole for several generations of musicians, music lovers (where else are we going to find quality music on a weeknight!), and those who want to relax, dance or enjoy the best chicken strips in town. The ambiance is warm and pays homage to veterans - musical and not - and fits perfectly within the historic Vets Club building. Simply put, if I live long enough to have great-great-great-grandkids of the legal drinking age, I hope we can all sit at the bar, bend an elbow and order up!

Eugene is my hometown, & I was just back there for 2 weeks, from Southern California where I live now. I saw in the Eugene weekly that there was a blues jam there, I went down and had a wonderful time. Everybody there was very welcoming and the caliber of the musicians was good, all in all an enjoyable evening.

A Eugene institution for at least a couple of decades, Mac’s at the Vets’ Club features live music Tuesday through Saturday nights, and good food and drinks. Music is usually somewhere on the blues to rock spectrum. In the summer, it’s sometimes on an outdoor stage. Indoors, there is room to dance. I’ve always enjoyed the food, especially the Caesar salads.

I'm here on a weekly basis for a Rotary Club meeting and the location is conveniently located, although parking can be a challenge. Haven't been to the many other events they hold here but it seems like a great community space for people looking to rent. Haven't used the internal catering but I believe they allow groups to bring their own caterer, which is nice.

It started out good with drinks but after ordering a basket of fries we waited for 30 minutes and I went to check on them and they said they would be right out. At 45 minutes I went to go check again and the waitress walked past me and magically had a plate of fries in her hand. She then sighed loudly when I asked for ketchup. I was a cook for 10 years and in all those years it never took 45 minutes to get a basket of fries. Like really Mac’s?
