I used to go to Avalon on a weekly basis when I lived in that area. I've never had a bad experience there. The venue is laid out well and big which prevents not being able to move from one side of the club to another. Avalon also has great entertainers perform there. I've gotten to see Jay Sean, Cash Cash, and Bebe Rehxa. My only gripe is that they also have plenty of weeks without anyone notable performing. It isn't really a big deal except Shrine has at least one notable DJ every week. In my opinion, Avalon is the better venue. The management just needs to do a better job of getting big name people to perform there in order to solidify their dominance on night life in the north east.

My best friend and I went to this place. It was alright until our guys tried to get in: an Air Force veteran and a Navy guy. They wouldn't let them in for wearing tennis shoes. It didn't matter that the veteran had an open tab and two crushed disks in his back. Tennis shoes. By the way, I have a picture of a guy in tennis shoes in the club.

The DJ was terrible. He went from one genre to another very abruptly. There were times when everyone on the dance floor stopped dancing trying to figure out the music change. Worse part was that he seemed oblivious.

Went there for my bachelorette celebration in Sept 2018. It was pretty bad. The DJ played the same songs over and over again. We had a "VIP" section that we shared with two other parties. There was like 0 room. For me I go with VIP for the space and to party with my friends in a space where we have room to sit and dance. They had 7 of us sharing a corner of this large square couch. The management did respond by giving us a bottle of champagne and an a security guard that stayed with us through out the night. (The security guy could only do so much) what they offered was nice and better than nothing but it did not makeup for the fact that we paid almost 700 for this package and couldn't enjoy it. With the bad music, the lack of space, pricey package, and lack of empathy from the staff I would never go back. I gave it two stars because the place looks nice and they gave us the security person to help.

Went there the first time last night with friends for his birthday, my BF couldn’t get in due to wearing sneakers. I understand there’s a dress code but they let a old couple after in wirh sneakers on. My bf and i also drove an hour and 15 mins to go out with them to NOT even be able to enjoy it. But all good they lost my future services and me ever going back.

Avalon was one of the best spots I have been to. We loved the staff, they were awesome and so helpful. I had lost my phone and they were very accommodating and helped me locate my phone and got it back to me! Definitely check this place out. Shoutout to Travis lol

Worst night club ever. Do not waste your time or money here. ($20 cover? Really?) I have had only bad experiences at Avalon. The bouncers are extremely rude and unhelpful. I went here the other night for my friend's birthday. After waiting in line for almost an hour, they wouldn't let us in, even though it was only 12 and we all had hand stamps except for the one male in our group. The staff were so rude that they made my friend cry and completely ruined her birthday night. We should have stayed at Vista, where we were having a blast before wasting an hour trying to get into Avalon. Definitely go to Vista for a better atmosphere and way better service

I love the club itself, great atmosphere, enough space. I even got VIP for my 22nd birthday. However, when you try contacting them, it takes days for them to respond. You'd figure that if a guest was interested in spending over $500 for VIP that would be a priority for them to respond quickly. 3 days and counting and still no word.

Went for the radio party and had a good time. The service was polite but there was not enough seating. The girl with me was wearing high heels and had to stand for 3 hours which was not fun for her. Also the dj really wasnt that great

Watch out for that dance floor, she's a slick one! Went here with my boyfriend the Saturday before Halloween, and it was pretty fun, but it could have been better. The staff and all of the guests were very nice. Bartenders were fast and friendly and the security crew and bathroom attendants were very polite and helpful. Working at a club on Halloween must be extremely stressful, but the staff did a great job making it fun and safe, well mostly. We luckily didn't have to wait in line because we were already at the pub before hand, and were able to get in without waiting at all. The door staff were right on top of things though from the looks of it. I don't know what was up with the dj. He literally spent his entire set playing about 20-30, sometimes only 15 seconds of a song then abruptly switching to another song for most of the night. There were parts of the evening where only a few people were partially dancing, and seemingly a little annoyed with his choice to switch things up so quickly the entire set. The music he did play was pretty pedestrian as well. I suppose that is typical of the environment though. The one thing I will say is the staff needs to do a better job of keeping the dance floor as dry as possible. I know this is probably next to impossible with dancing people spilling their drinks all over the place, but wet floors, dancing, and drunk people are a recipe for disaster. At closing my boyfriend went across the dance floor to pay his tab with the bar, and I planned to wait where we had been sitting at one of the tables in the carpeted area, but the security crew kept motioning people out the door. I told them I was waiting for my boyfriend and they told me to go stand with him at the bar, which meant I had to cross the dance floor which by this point was covered with spilled drinks, fruit garnishes, wet paper, and remnants of people's costumes. I was trying to navigate through the crowd of people and I slipped on a piece of fruit as well as a bunch of liquid and went down hard. I have a good sense of humor and was able to laugh it off and get up without a hitch. I'm sure if there's any video footage of my fall it's given people a good laugh ;). Everyone around me was very kind and wanted to make sure I was ok, so thank you kind strangers :). I only had two drinks throughout the whole night so it's not like I was drunk or stumbling around, and I even wore boots without a heel so I wouldn't have to worry about losing my bearings. My back is a bit sore and I have some nice bruising starting, but man, I can only imagine this is probably a regular occurrence and I hope that no one else has been seriously injured. Again, I'm not sure what can be done about the situation, but hopefully the staff finds a solution. If we come back I hope the next dj is better, and I'll be sure to keep my dancing on the side lines.

I had the worst experience at this establishment. Right from the get go, the bouncers were trying to be intimidating and rude while my party and I were friendly. I can't believe the cover charge was $20. As the night progressed, trying to get a drink was a mission due to the unprofessional staff. So apparently they can justify kicking you out of the club if you order an drink and the bartender gives you a water this means you get a warning? i told the bartender i wanted a beer not a water then next thing i know im getting escorted out by a herd of bouncers who once again continued to try and intimidate me and try to antagonize me. I've been a club goer for 10 years and not once have i ever had a worse experience. I highly recommend NOT coming here not to mention the resident dj was mediocre, definitely not worth a $20 cover. Save your money and don't go here!

This club is an absolute joke. Paid a cover to get in, was served 2 drinks then was cut off while walking to the bathroom and told by a bouncer to follow him with no explanation. After not following him the bouncer stated I was being thrown out because the bartender cut me off, funny because she had just happily served me and taken my gratuity. While being walked out the bouncers were confrontational, got in my face making threats. These were hands down the most unprofessional employees I have ever come in contact with at any establishment.

The staff at Avalon are some of the rudest people I️ have ever met in my life. Even worse than them is the manager ( whoever was on Friday 8/3). My friends and I️ visit this nightclub frequently because we live in the area and everytime it gets worse. Can honestly say the other night will be the last time we ever spend money at this place. Would recommend to whoever is head of Avalon to fire every bouncer because they can be extremely rude and offensive. When we asked to speak to the manager about a concern we had about one of the bouncers he said we wouldn’t be allowed back in but refused to give us a reason. I️ was happy to take the group of 15 of us right to vista lounge instead. (Will be sure to choose Shrine next time)

Jacqueline, Brian and Brent sorry if I spelled your name wrong we’re the best bar tending crew all night. They were on top of there game and over achieving to make there customers happy!! Honestly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good time and just kick back and enjoy themselves!

I have to say i'm a little disappointed. yes the club was fun and nice and everything, but when we did bottle service, my friend gave the waitress a 15% tip (after tip was already included), and the waitress had the audacity to come back and not only request, but more or less coerce my friend into giving her another 5%. if you have any plans of going here, be careful. i just find it incredibly rude, and bordering on illegal, to come back and force someone to give you a higher tip. if you are reading this avalon management, i truly hope that this is not how you run your business normally.

I went there for last night for Halloween and I was hit on the head by a random beer bottle. I was not the only one who was hit. If I would’ve wanted to get hit by random objects or get elbowed all night, I would’ve went to a college frat party for free instead paying $20.

When it comes to the bar/drinks, Avalon is one of the worst night clubs I have been too!!! I went with a group of about 10 of us. We arrived at about 10:30pm and when we first got there we each had one shot and I got a glass of wine. The wine was awful, it had to have been boxed wine. Then when we tried to get more shots after only about 30 minutes of being at the club ( so the time was about 11:00pm) we were told that they were not giving out anymore shots, just cocktails (I didn't want cocktails because they made them so weak and were way over priced). I have never heard of a bar/club not giving out shots especially only at 11:00. However, they were apparently still giving out shots as the people next to me received shots in cups instead of in shot glasses and the bartender just thought we weren't smart enough to notice. We were completely sober though since we weren't allowed to have shots...so we noticed!! When I asked the bartender why they got shots he said "well they have been having the same drink all night so I am giving them what they want." Basically they were slipping him extra money, so they got shots. Very unprofessional!

Great atmosphere! Staff always friendly, attentive, and very professional! Every type of drink you can imagine at the bar and extensive list of high end bottles for anyone interested in VIP bottle service. The staff always go out of their way to make sure you and your group are having a blast & the DJs are always on point!!! Avalon is an all around class act!
