First time in Montreal. I asked around where to go for nightlife. I was told Sky. I come and security checks me. I proceed upstairs and before entering I'm told I have to check in my coat. Never have I ever been told I HAVE TO check in my coat? Of course there's a fee. Then I'm told I have to check in my scarf. I tell them I rather keep it on. Then I'm told ok if you're asked to check it in there'll be another coat fee. IT'S A SCARF! It was ridiculous.

We waited 1h10min for food which ended being a wrong order. We had to wait another 50min min for the mistake to be corrected. So an extra 2h after, whilst my friend was eating his food, we talked to the manager who justified this but the restaurant still being in "test" mode after 2 weeks. We said it was not a good way to run business which somehow seemed offensive to him... So in the end: food was okay (4/10) but service is TERRIBLE.

The best accident ever. Me and my friend took a shot on this place as we saw the big line out front. The line moved so fast, and the music was amazing! I love the three separate rooms. Terrible service at coat check, manager gave us wrong coats and refused to check for the right ones and denied ever giving us coats in the first place. Had to wait over an hour until closing hours to discover miraculously my coat was stashed away in the corner while my friends’ was on the rack all along under my initials. Probably the best place to be at gay village for their nightlife. There's different floors for different tastes of music, drinks are cheap, and there's no cover to get in! We found this place through Yelp and thought we'd give it a try and definitely didn't regret it! We had an amazing time the DJs really knew how to bring a crowd together. There was a daunting line up to get in, but the turnover is fast so it's not bad and definitely worth the wait.

Lorsque nous sommes allés cogner a l'entrée des employés, on nous a ordonner de s'en aller sinon la police serait contactée (ce qui etait déja fait, ahaha), et lorsque nous avons refusé d'obéir, on nous à lancé des sacs a poubelle dessus du haut de la cage d'escalier. Il a fallut que nous bloquions la porte sur le coté pour qu'on nous accorde enfin le droit à nos effets personnels. N'allez pas là.

This is a great club! It's nothing fancy but compared to some of the other clubs in Montreal this is great. There is a great selection of music and crowds across 4-5 rooms if I remember correctly (not sure if I've been to all, maybe there's more) you should go and check it out. Most ridiculous and disgusting behaviour from the door staff who refused to allow me in because I wouldn't take off a shirt (which they deemed to be a 'jacket') even though all I had was a sports bra on under my shirt... They have a coat check policy that they seem extremely ready to be aggressive about, with escalation and physical intimidation happening within a matter of seconds. They essentially tried to pressure me to take my shirt off under the threat of being kicked out or refused if I didn't. So what, if someone acts inappropriately, they can just turn around and blame it on me for being half-dressed, which they were trying to FORCE me to be? I obviously left because what kind of behaviour is that... I will never come back. They treated me like trash for wanting to keep my shirt on.... it was really unbelievable. For a place claims to be LGBTQ-friendly, their lack of basic respect is quite shocking. Even if they wanted to be strict with their policy, the way the staff acted was ridiculous for the situation.

Pretty varied and interesting venue, sometimes it can be amazing, other times it can be dead (and boring). It consists of 3 floors, and additionally a rooftop terrace in the summer. The 2nd and 3rd floor are more like nightclubs in the evening, with the ground floor staying mostly as a chill out and relaxed section. Drinks are reasonably priced.

The coat check was rude when asked questions about the bar. The bouncers are on some sort of power trip. I was told I needed to coat check my purse when other backpacks and bags were allowed through, (including my friends) yet I was singled out. Then we were followed out as if we had done something wrong. When we stopped at the entrance of the 3rd level to discuss where to go next were told to leave. This is not how you treat customers. Visiting from Vancouver, went to skybar, front door security guard checked my purse which was a cute little sparkly backpack style purse, went upstairs to dance... having fun until some random bouncer told me to go check my purse , I stated no it had my money, phone, ID, including passport; so pretty much all my identity. I asked why the guys with shoulder bags, fanny packs and other purses were okay.. he said it was different... really... how so? I was then asked to leave if I wasn't willing to check my purse. I love the structure of the place, the music, and the people that go there. My only complaint is regarding the drags that provide the $1 shots. They are always super rude. I understand the shots are cheap, but for every dollar you spent with one shot, they demmand $1 dollar of tip. So if I get 5 shots, I need to give 5 dollars of tip? It even happened once that I got a shot, and since I was running out of money, I gave 50 cents as tip for that single shot. The drag threw the 50 cents at the trash and said “50 cents? This USED to be a gay bar and is NOT anymore. It is a STRAIT bar now with the rudest bouncers and aggressive strait clientele where you risk getting punched for bumping into someone on the dance floor. I was there with a friend to catch up on the past five years we spent apart and right from the start, the waiter couldn't help himself but being super flirty even thought we weren't responding to that type of interaction. We would just say "thanks" to his compliments, nothing more. He came to our table more often than necessary, and each time he was just "too much". I could feel he was working for his tips. We ordered sangria first, and when it came, he told us we had to pay right away because the restaurant had been stolen in the past by clients on the terrasse leaving without notice. Since we were going to eat too, I left him my credit card, so the problem was solved. When it was time to pay, we waited but our waiter never came, so we went inside to find him. He told me the price of my sangria (7$) and nachos (13$) outloud without showing me any bill, which I thought was very odd. As I was paying, I recalled that my nachos was 11$ before taxes, which was less than 13$ tax included, and I had no idea what was the price of the sangria. As the waiter gave me my credit card receipt, I asked for the bill. He told me : "hum, it's not yours, but it's the same thing", handing me a random bill for a nachos belonging to someone else. I answered "hum, ok... and what about the sangria? I am self employed and I keep all of my bills, it's important". He said "I didn't print one, but I can go to the bar to get you one". When I told him that he charged me too much, he faked being sorry, admitted his "mistake" and offered to give me 50 cents back (this was only for the nachos, since I had a written proof in front of me. As for the sangria, I still didn't know the real price). Really? What kind of restaurant/waiter doesn't print the bill before you pay, or round up the bill before they charge you. I read that they also charge different prices depending on where you sit (inside vs outside) and they charge more to Europeans (my friend was from France). I told that waiter I wasn't buying his "mistake". That according to me, he gave himself some tips by rounding up my bill, thinking I wouldn't notice. Sorry boy, but I know my maths. I told him I was used to give good tips for good and transparent service, and that there was clearly a lack of transparency here. I didn't asked for my money back because I didn't want him to be pissed at me. I wanted him to know he couldn't fool me, and to feel at least a bit stupid to have tried. I hope he did.

The two "half pitchers" were full of ice cubes, a pinkish color, as if we had forgotten that sangria is made of wine (red in this case). We didn't taste any wine or any other alcoholic beverage (other than the sugar in juices and 7up / soda). At $ 37.89, the premium is very expensive for sparkling fruit juice. Once again, this institution, once reliable and respected, in the good years (1993 to 1999), does good to its customers who do not dare to complain about the quality of the products. My advice to customers: Don't be fooled by this institution ... If you order a pitcher of sangria, ask by ordering half the ice cream than usual and make sure your sangria looks like real blood red sangria containing real red wine instead of grenadine to accentuate the color. Les deux "demi pichets" étaient gorgés de glaçons, d'une couleur rosé, comme si on avait oublié que la sangria est composée de vin (rouge dans ce cas). On ne goûtait aucunement le vin ou une autre boisson alcoolisée (que le sucre des jus de fruits et du 7up/soda). À 37,89$, le premium, ça fait très cher du jus de fruits pétillant. Encore une fois, cette institution, jadis fiable et respectée, dans les bonnes années (1993 à 1999), fait faut bon à sa clientèle qui n'ose pas se plaindre de la qualité des produits. Mon conseil à la clientèle: Ne vous laissez pas berner par cette institution... Si vous commandez un pichet de sangria, demandez en commandant la moitié moins de glace qu'à l'habitude servi et assurez-vous que votre sangria ressemble à de la vraie sangria au rouge sang contenant véritablement du vin rouge et non de la grenadine pour en accentuer la couleur. Si on vous dit que c'est ainsi que la sangria est servie, ne payez pas l'arnaque du pichet "premium" à 37.89$. Visitez un endroit où il est encore possible de se faire respecter dans le village. Personne ne mérite une arnaque pareil.

We went there last Friday, Sept. 3rd. 1. Someone wrote here that the drinks are cheap: I don't think that a cocktail at 7,50 $ is cheap. Consider the tip and you're paying 9 $ for a drink that you had to go get YOURSELF! 2. Not a large variety of drinks: the barmaid told we that actually "we don't have much". Couldn't get a decent drink. 3. Your cocktails are super low in alcohol. I went to your club on empty stomach and usually a drink will get me in a good mood right away. Not your drinks, though. 4. Spent most of the time in the "hip-hop" room. OK, I have been to this club before, I don't know who the DJ was, but at one point I wasn't sure it's hip-hop or some kind of whatever music, and NO big hip-hop hits. 5. I come from Europe and I might be too demanding for your standards, BUT YOUR HIP-HOP room decor SUCKS BIG TIME: it looks like a CHEAP bar in the hood. Yes, the whole room: the lights, the bars, the floor. Too much light coming from behind the bar, couches are ripped and have holes in them, the bar counter looks absolutely cheap and disgusting. NO ONE in Europe would go to your club if such a decor was in place. And we're talking here about the party city in Canada. Seriously?! So I guess I wrote enough. I was disappointed big time. A revamp of your club is much needed. It looks cheap!

This was THE WORST club I’ve ever been to in my ENTIRE life. I walked in bought one $1 shot and the VERY first thing a bartender did was demand for tip. The security guards were extremely rude and herding is around like cattle all night. The nicest employees were at coat check. The club was not even fun to make up for the rude staff members. It was -20 degrees outside and they wouldn’t let us wait inside for our Uber. Keep in mind, it was my friend’s birthday so this was a big disappointment to all. Do not suggest you ever go here.

Complexe Sky is the quintessential gay club. The new cowboy bar addition is great, (other than the fact I didn't get my change hence I forgot it!). Sky has three different levels which are all very different from the one before it and each fun in it's own way. It's certainly a place to go with your friends. In the day they have amazing food. Very poorly managed. Lost keys Saturday night and was told by the Facebook page that "Guy" had found them. Went back to the club 3 times to collect the keys, and on the third visit was told that they never had them in the first place. Waste of my time & very unprofessional.

I have been there a few times and have experienced the same thing every time. There are always nasty smells on the second floor. Waiters and bartenders always try to sell you drinks within seconds of you finishing your previous drink. When I told them I needed a break, they sent over the manager (or owner), who insisted that I buy another drink because I was in a bar. I didn't appreciate the aggression from the employees. Never going back.
