I'm in Montreal for the weekend, and arrived before 11PM on Saturday the 14th to gain free entry. Most of the staff was very polite, but the bartender with a beard was very rude. I tipped 20% for my first drink, and coming from Ottawa, where tipping isn't mandatory as per my experiences, I didn't tip for my second drink. The bartender tried to tell me you have to tip, but I couldn't hear him multiple times so he then proceeded to rudely demonstrate how to make my friends drink, took her 20$ and have 5$ back, pointing at the sign on the counter saying you have to tip at least 1$. My 2 friends and I simply couldn't hear, we all after reading the sign and even being rudely served tried to communicate with this bartender to tip him, but he refused to serve any of us after that and simply ignored us as he danced and sung to the music. Definitely not going back anytime soon

Amazing experience. Staff was extremely friendly and DJs were playing great music on all floor levels. The rooftop was great because you could escape the club scene for a bit and enjoy a drink while looking at the beautiful view of the city. It was Latin night so the second floor was playing variety of salsa, reggaeton, and Latin-pop. The club itself is very clean and the decor is sleek. Would recommend to tourists or anyone looking for a fun night!

When we arrived at 11pm on a Saturday night the place was very empty. We ordered a drink from the bartender who got annoyed at us when we didn’t tip her and said that It was customary to do so in Quebec ( when obviously not, this is optional because you usually tip people when they’ve done a good job and this bartender didn’t....) The drinks were overpriced and watered down,,,not to mention there was a literal pube in my friends drink... the fog machine was excessive and unnecessary and the music was repetitive and boring. The staff in general had an unwelcoming attitude despite the clubs motto of creating a comfortable and inclusive environment for its customers.

Refused a trans man entry because he refused to take off a sweatshirt and reveal his binders in just a tshirt. Understandably embarrassing for the guy. Meanwhile they let in a woman wearing a jean jacket. I'm not saying they shouldn't have denied her entry, rather, it was appalling how openly discriminatory they acted against the man. Edit: After reading the owner's comments, I don't even know what he's talking about. The person whom I'm referencing in my review did not have a leather jacket on. I very clearly mentioned a sweatshirt. I suppose this happens more frequently than they would like to admit if they can't even pinpoint which moment I'm highlighting in my review. If security were actually the concern, they should have offered the individual a pat down instead.

TLDR; Young crowd, friendly staff with 2 ambients Downstairs you have ample space with a very high ceiling; the sound and lights are great. At the center, you can dance and feel you are the star of the night. If you pay enough attention, you'll find a place to cage yourself. If you feel like feeding your Latino fibers, go upstairs and have fun. I had drinks at two of the 3 bars I saw. If you want to meet the owner of that back you see in the picture, head to the main bar downstairs. If you are into hot young bartenders, you'll be pretty happy there. If you want to be served by a tough-looking girl who makes sure to understand what you want, go upstairs; she is top quality. It was very nice from the bouncer to ask us when we were leaving if we had a great time, we did. Young and wanting to have a great time? This place is right for you. Not young, it works too!

Too much for us, we decide to leave, without having consumed, without even having had the opportunity to sit down. But of course, no refund possible. Clearly a scam. (Original) 0 ⭐️ Rien ne va ! Une entrée pour la terrasse à 6$ (vous l’apprenez qu’une fois à l’intérieur et après avoir fait la ligne pendant 30 minutes), pour au final vous rendre compte qu’il ne reste plus aucune place assise. Assez ironique quand les règles sanitaires, rappelées à l’entrée de l’établissement, précisent bien qu’il faut rester à sa place... assise et ne pas danser ! Pourquoi donc continuer à faire rentrer (payer) des gens si c’est déjà complet, et aller ainsi contre votre règlement et les règles imposées à tous les bars en temps de Covid ? Sachant qu’en plus, personne ne porte le masque pour se déplacer, on n’est plus à une infraction près je suppose. L’événement « Patio Electro » du dimanche n’a rien d’électro, juste quelques vieilles musiques remixées eurodance mainstream. Le bar central est, comme la terrasse, débordée. Nous attendons là aussi (en même temps vous n’avez que ça à faire en attendant qu’une place assise se libère) au moins 30min pour qu’une serveuse nous réponde. Trop pour nous, on décide de partir, sans avoir consommé, sans même avoir eu la possibilité de s’assoir. Mais bien sûr, aucun remboursement possible. Clairement une arnaque.

This is my 3rd time coming here, on my Montreal trips. And one of the best nightclubs you can go into the area. We don't have any, nightclubs in Toronto, even if there are any they get in fee is 20 bucks and over. The staff are extremely friendly here, and before 10pm the fee is free!

I was charged $36 for three double vodka sodas. When the bartender gave me payment terminal, there was no tipping option but only tapping/paying. As I didn’t have any cash on me, I wasn’t able to tip the bartender. I didn’t feel comfortable looking like I was withholding their tip but on a second thought I decided to tip higher the next round. Then. my friend ordered the second round of drinks, the same three double vodka soda. The bill was $30 this time, and the terminal showed tipping options. I asked the bartender why I was charged $8.5 more for the same drinks. His answer was “you speak English, you wouldn’t tip. I added my salary”. I had to pick my fight and obviously this discriminatory server wasn’t it. I asked to see the manager or supervisor right away. His answer was “good luck finding him”. Then I went to the upstairs bar, the bartender who seemed to be a much reasonable person, called the manager. The manager never showed up. The day after I wrote them an email explaining the situation, no answer. Stealing somebody’s money is robbery and what I experienced is discrimination. I still am expecting an official apology from this business.

Huge venue, 2 dance floors with different music on separate floors on Friday and Saturday, best DJ,s on the Montreal circuit, the best roof top terrace at least in the gay village, young mixed crowd. Drinks are less expensive than most clubs in Montreal. Thursday's is a definite steal, free admission and a variety of cocktails and shooters at 3$, beer 4$. As it's name implies, this club brings all nightlife people together to dance and party. Top choice for ladies in Montreal, as they dance in peace. If you are not suffering from homophobia, this club is definitely for you. Enjoy!

Great club for anyone. What is cool about this place is there are three different levels. Dance floor on the first, lounge on the second, and then roof on the third. I went once when the roof bar was open and that was amazing. The next time I went the roof bar was closed (perhaps too close to winter)

Sadly I have to put more stars than there was alcohol in my drinks. I asked for a vodka redbull and didn't get the can, they served it already mixed in the glass which is illegal in Quebec. I didn't feel nor taste any vodka. The long island I ordered also didn't taste any alcohol, neither had any effect on me even though it was my second drink of the evening, it seemed to be virgin. I *strongly don't recommand* this place for drinks. I honestly think they were virgins. The waiter didn't understand french. I understand it's financially difficult with covid but hey, for me too and it simply wasn't what I ordered. I'm very disappointed.

It was a fun atmosphere. We ordered drinks on the 3rd floor. Then we went to dance with half full bottles of bear and wine and when came back in 30 min our drinks were all gone. Too fast service in my opinion. Also, my scarf and sweatshirt that I left on the coach were gone. Now, i guess I need to pay them to get my clothes back.

Club Unity overall is just okay. The music isn't spectacular and the crowd isn't very diverse as far as age (it was mostly 20 somethings). I also feel like there were more straight girls than gay guys! I probably wouldn't go to Unity again unless I was dragged there by someone else. A little disappointed considering I've heard great things about Montreal's gay nightlife! Perhaps Appollon or Sky will be better.

I have been going there for IWS wrestling tv tapings and the venue has a lot of atmosphere. Unfortunately, due to the small number of seats available, arriving early is mandatory to sit and waiting 2 hours in the cold in winter is not fun.

Very bad experience. Rude and disrespectful owner. After ordering one round of shots we were approach by a super angry and rude man, literally kicking us out and saying we were asked to leave 5 times, which is not true at all. One of my friends already left a review, and we now know this was the owner. On his reply, he called us liars saying "Come on, tell the truth! I came to kindly let you know that we were full,.... a waiter explained you need to order if you want to keep your place...then a security.... then me twice". How come not even one person of a group of 5 remembers any of these approaches. On his reply he also said "You ordered a single round of shots and left 20 cents for it" out of a group of 5 at least 3 of us tipped 20% (myself included). I consider this remark highly disrespectful especially coming from the owner.

Ça ne l'aurait pas tuer). Vous avez un compétiteur à à peine deux minutes ou les drinks sont pas mal moins cher et ou il n'y a pas de prix d'entrée. Être vous, je ferais plus attention à mes clients. J'avais entendu dire le gardien qu'il ne comprenait pas pourquoi il y avait si peu de monde qui venait voir les feux avec la vue de votre terrasse aux gens devant nous, et j'ai remarquer qu'il n'y avait vraiment pas grand monde pour l'heure comparer au sky, je comprends maintenant pourquoi. Vous perdez beaucoup de clients, et c'est pire d'années en années, il n'y avait rien de clair disant que si on descendait complètement, on devait repayer, pour des gens qui ne sont pas venus depuis des années, c'est vraiment pas correct.
