This club is always packed and huge line. I used BACKDOOR MTL for table reservation and bottle service. So happy I did so that i could skip the line. Best experience and highly recommend this club and using BACKDOOR MTL is a must.

The drinks are overpriced and watered down - I'm talking 9$ for half a shot of gin and some tonic. They really overdid it with the fog machine when I was there and it was actually hard to breathe. On top of that it was just way too cold in the place. Go spend your money elsewhere, you have more than enough choice in the immediate vicinity!

My worst experience by far. The front door security were very unprofessional and rude. Especially one of them, he was acting as he owns the club. I was waiting with a friend on the lineup for almost 40 mins and when it came our turn the security guy told me the club is full you can’t go in (in French) I believe he qualified me as a teenager lol. Never asked for ID. This person he didn’t know that I’m actually almost 30 yrs old! I asked for the manager, the manger said to me if you wanna go in you have to pay $200! Are you serious?! this is how manger's resolve the issues! he made it worst "as I'm dying to go in" Guys I have been clubbing almost everywhere around the global never had any problem. The way these people do business is bad. Made me feel as I’m not qualified to go in.They just Pre judge humans. I do highly recommend any other place around Montreal this one is the worst. They thought I left, I came back and I saw them letting other people in without any drama!!!! Stay away there is other fancy places around the city. The overall reviews is already 2.8 for this club, so the quality is obvious.

Worst bouncers ever. The service is also bad if you're not rich or close to the manager/owner. The prices are too high though; if you don't have a reservation, don't even go (you'll waste your time). I like Muzique and Tokyo Bar, and both of them are in the same street! I saw how a guy who was already in, got out, returned and tried to enter. The bouncers rejected him... Enough! The crowd here is very young and energetic, a lot of fine girls come to this club and it is relatively smaller than other clubs so you should come early because this club gets crowded fast the bartenders are nice attractive and socialize with you.

Bunch of scums called bouncers at the door. They practically harass the girls standing in the lines. Average small club; nothing impressive about it. Doesn't come remotely close to what you can experience in NYC, Las Vegas or even some other places in Montreal. Hopefully one of these days you see the homeless pe**ing at its door at 10 p.m. UPDATE... the owner is as big of a scum as the bouncers at the door! Look how he responds to people's comments (including mine). He has written I didn't get in to his club...guess what dude; I was in for the first and last time! Your club wasn't worth commenting right away that is why I took my time.

Overcrowed bar counter for people with bottles. Even if you have one you’ll get squeezed cause there’s too many people too little space. If you want to dance on the dancefloor you’ll get bumped from all sides. Again, overcrowed in a bad way. Music was good. Prices too high.

Free coat check is sooo important for the winter and the overall vibe is conducive with the idea that MTL has some of the best night life in the world. It's a pretty fun place until you have an encounter with the staff. The bouncers outside have ego problems and they are incredibly rude. I was threatened by one of them that "it won't end well for you" if I didn't find the guy they were looking for. The bouncer was holding me by the jacket and not letting go even outside the vicinity of the club. Wish I got the cops involved. Don't ever go and support this club because your night will turn into a shitshow unless you are spending 10k or you are tight friends with the manager or owner.

This is by far one of my favorite night clubs in Montreal. For anyone that is into rap , trap , hip hop , R&b. This club gives you the feeling of being at a secret society where everything is controlled by status and show and it gives it life. The sound system is simply amazing and you truly feel like you are in a rap video on the making.

Honestly, I give it 1 star just cuz I cant give none. We arrived there at 11pm and there was already a lineup, we waiting til 12:30am and we didnt even go inside! We ended up going somewhere else. Here’s the problem, people dont do the line and they just go to one middle line and they all get in and the bouncers dont care. The people who actually do the line, spend hours there standing in the cold . I just find that is very disorganized.

It was up-and-down. I came in confused because they didn't stamp me. I told them and the black bouncer interrupted me and asked me to pay inside. I went to the coat-check, confused because the girl was asking for a stamp. My group had free coat-check, but I was told that because I wasn't stamped, I had to pay. Confused, I went outside and told them again that I wasn't stamped and that same bouncer told me I had "that or the option to leave" and then he opened the gate. I told him and the other nearby staff who I was with, and they told them I was one of the guys backing for my friends and paying for them or something like that. I had to get stamped after the coat-check Fast-forward to a few hours, I was smashed and a little too rowdy, but I wasn't violent. I was touchy, but far from inappropriate. My friend pushed me, and I fell into someone else, who pushed me, and then a chain happened. I pushed NOBODY. I'm not a mean drunk. The French bouncer throws me out, because he thought I was fighting. Didn't aggressively push me out, just nudged me out. I check my pockets. I'm kind of shocked as I feel no phone. I told the bouncer, he starts YELLING at me at the top of his lungs to go outside and stay in the front while we're approaching the coat check. When I go outside, I asked him what I did wrong, because from what I saw, I got kicked out for being repeatedly pushed. He screamed at me to just stand outside. Then he goes in and looks for my phone. All the bouncers were alarmed and each took turns to look for it, which I highly respect. Meanwhile, I was outside in shock. I talked about the situation with my friends and the same bouncer that threatened to throw me out at the beginning yells, "WE DON'T HAVE YOUR PHONE!!" my way in an attempt to be funny. I asked the French bouncer again what I did wrong about an hour and a half after he threw me out, and he rather-calmly told me. Apart from all that, the bartenders and coat-check are chill and more professional, but there were two free tables and our bottle service was at a bar which concerned me a little. The scenery is fantastic! Music, amazing! Basically, if you get in, you'll really turn up and it's a blast, but don't be surprised when they throw you out for no apparent reason. My advice is don't go near where there's fights. If you get hit or pushed and shoved, the bouncer will think you caused it and thus throw you out. That's how it works here.

Easily one of the best clubs in Montreal, bottle service and music was pretty good. Honestly a bit crowded but it isn't too bad if you have a table. Not sure how it is in the middle of the floor though. To everyone that's salty about not getting in or needing to buy a bottle, cash is king, you need to see it from a business point of view. Next time just drop a bit more to get a table and you'll have a totally different experience from the one you had.

as soon as i walked in last night it was really nice, i didn't know we were forced to buy a bottle after standing outside with my two friends i brought from germany for almost a whole hour, great people tho and respectful, but once i couldnt purchase the bottle i feel as tho the man who escorted me and my friends out was trying to embaress us and told us we dont have money outloud outside and took forever to give my friends id back after asking for it multiple times and the man just not responding, the man finally gave it outside after making his remark that we do not have money, but besides the fact everyone seems super chill and i forgive the man in question, because we were informed and i hope to make a return real soon and arrive earlier and drop some bands when i feel like i want a drink.

I’ve loved ecole since the day i turned 18, i am not rating the club 1 star, i am rating my last experience 1 star. Yesterday i had went to see gunna perform and experienced something i never thought i would. I waited at the platform for 1.5hours for him to arrive and had no issues. Once Gunna came to perform behind the dj set a bouncer was extremely aggressive, instead of calmly asking the first row people to move back he started to be abusive, he grabbed my friend by the back of her pants and lifted her up dragged her back and then grabbed me by my neck, I was tapping his arm because he wouldn’t let go and i could no longer breath and he still wouldn’t stop so i decided to pinch him, however once i did that i was hit in the face. Not to mention i was grabbed very hard on my ribs and actually have marks of fingers along with photos to prove it. This is no way to treat a female who is 19 years old and very small in comparison to him or really any human at all who was standing in front of the stage where we were never informed that we would have to move until after the show started. I don’t think this behaviour is acceptable and i have actually heard many stories about this bouncer being extremely aggressive. He should be looked into because if you want to keep good clients than you need to have good staff.

Terrible club, that cares more about their bottom line than their clientele. If you want a club with unprofessional staff and one that will make your ears hurt at the end of the night with the bass overload, you found your place! They claim to be an upscale club, and have some interesting guests, however the club is filled with a majority of underage children. The most serious issue is how the club treats their patrons. The line can cause waits of over an hour (even with a reservation), bouncers are rude and even harass and push guests, and the place is WAY over capacity every single weekend. Hopefully this place gets a visit by the police or city inspectors, because no venue should be as over-Capacity or operate like Ecole Privée. Its not only a hazard, but a serious lack of care by the owner. (Just to drive the point, look how the owner has answered to previous reviews, he obviously does not care about his guests or feedback) Do yourself a favour and stay away from EP. There's many better options in this city.

I had a good experience here. Would certainly go back next time I am in Montreal. The club feels very underground and ominous, which I like. Plays incredible music and you can tell is with the trends. I thought the bouncers were overall friendly. The place is small, but I sort of liked that as it adds to the ambience. My only complaints would be some of the guests are a bit young and rowdy, but that's nothing the establishment can stop I guess and that the drinks are a bit on the expensive side.

In short, come take a walk! (Original) De loin mon club préféré J’y vais souvent avec un groupe d’amis et nous n’avons jamais vraiment eu de problème pour l’entrée. Les bouncers sont sympathiques tant que tu l’es aussi avec eux. Pour ce qui en est des guestlist, elles sont fiables, mais arrivez tôt! La musique est très bonne si c’est votre genre de musique. Jeudi techno, vendredi samedi plus trap/rap. Le club, étant très populaire, est bondé, mais les gens sont relativement polis et s’excusent la plupart du temps s’ils vous heurtent. Évidemment, l’alcool est plus chère qu’en magasin, mais l’ambiance en vaut grandement la peine. Les barmaids sont gentils et le service est rapide. Les toilettes sont propres et nombreuses. Bref, venez faire un tour!

Absolutely disgusting and cheap club. Waited one hour in line to be told that guys must purchase a 270$ (with forced 40$ tip included) bottle yet it was only a 10$ cover fee for my girl. How poor is this club that they require guests who mind you were ready to spend a 100$ on shots and cocktails TO PURCHASE A BOTTLE AT THE DOOR WHERE THE BOUNCER WONT LET YOU IN UNLESS YOU HAND A CREDIT CARD. If you're this poor, you don't deserve to be in business

Average club. $10 for guys and free for girls. Very small place with too many people and okay music. Only had 3 good songs/songs my friends and I knew. May be because of cultural /age difference as we are all young.

I love how loud the music is and the corresponding lights give it a concert esque feel. The owner Brooke is really accomodating, always takes care of my friends and I when we come in from out of town.

Bougie club with young adult crowd. Mostly bottle service and tables. Not a bad spot if you have table service. Decor is not modern (as in not a lot of LEDs and lights everywhere) but very fancy instead. Lighting is on the darker side instead of lasers and colours shooting everywhere. Not a bad place to go celebrate or spend the weekend and blow some cash.

The club is very clean and neat, the bar tenders are really nice and fast I never had to wait for a drink and the pours were good. The music is really really loud but if your not right up front your okay. The reason I give it 2 stars and not 5 is because the tall bald bouncer was a total douchebag! My girl friend was standing up off the dance floor near a lounge area (where you can purchase bottle service) and the bouncer pushed her off! All he had to do was point or ask but instead he pushed her. I might consider going back but with different expectations
