It's a nice venue, good atmosphere. Front door staff/ bouncers are professional and I felt secured. It would've been a perfect experience except for a female bartender aggressively soliciting a tip from me after spending money on ONE top shelf drink for my girlfriend to try so we could've decide which bottles to buy for her birthday in VIP... I have no problem tipping and giving credit where credit is due but for that bartender to do it in front of my lady is unprofessional and killed my mood. Stayed for a while longer then decided to go. Not a good first experience. If it wasn't for the neatly dress bouncers and front door staff I would probably never come back. For anyone reading this your best bet is to just buy a table if it's 2 or more persons as it will add up if you like to have quality drinks, just tip the server for actually working.

I'm giving 2 stars for the music. I went there yesterday with 40 friends for one of them's birthday. Even with many bottles, we had to wait at the door and while when, a the black doorman was yelling at us and saying we look like "A BUNCH OF SAVAGE". I don't think that's a way to treat people. I go there to have fun and spend money but get insulted instead. Also, I went at the bar to get a redbull, the first time it was a lady and she was very nice. The second time it was the guy that served me. He noticed me before talking to the couple but took ALL his time....gave the couple some drinks and then took 5mn before even talking to me. When he finished with them, he pass by me to go to his iphone, checked his snapchat, refreshed the page etc before finally coming to talk to me and take my order. Then he came back with a mean face and almost threw the redbull at me and leave. He didn't even opened it or propose a new glass or some ice. Not a good service....

After some time to reflect, I have mixed feelings about this venue. Let's start off with the good. I was here Saturday night and it started really well. The décor, music, and wait staff (especially our server - Nancy) were great. We got our bottles promptly and they continued to refill the chasers/mixers as needed. DJ was good also and ramped up the night pretty well. Now onto the bad. At the end of our night, my party and I were leaving. About half of us were already outside the door and the bouncers suddenly rushed in (I believe there was a fight brewing). I saw the individuals dragged out, but then after that, one the members of my party was dragged out in a headlock with his hands up (no resistance). This is where I have a problem. I've been working at a bar in NYC for the past 8 years so I have much experience dealing with rowdy/overzealous people. The way things were handled by the bouncers was dangerous. If somebody is clearly not resisting or even simply mouthing off, no physical contact is required--an escorted walk out suffices. This is especially true because my friend just wanted to get his coat from coat check. None of this, should have required me to pull off the bouncer as there was no resistance. In addition, I view this as a case of collateral damage because my other friend was shoved out of the way by one of the bouncers in the club trying to get to the fight they were trying to stop behind us. While I understand the immediacy of stopping a fight, you do not shove bystanders (and at the very least if you do, you check on the bystanders quickly). If I count correctly, there were 3 bouncers and 1 manager there so there were more than enough people to smooth a bump out. I hope that Blvd44 gets the security quality to the same quality of its front of the house staff. I'd like to recommend this place to out of towners, but until this is fixed, I say go at your own risk because you can start your night off right but end it in a sour way.

I celebrated my birthday at blvd 44. We popped 2 bottles so the bill before tip was 500$, we ended up paying 660$, meaning a tip of 160$. BEWARE: the waitress does NOT tell you that on their card machine they automatically charge you a 20% (recommended tip is 18%). When presented with the card machine it asks you how much you want to tip even though they are taking a 20% tip from you without telling you. I realised that i was overcharged in the morning so i contacted blvd 44 about the issue, this is when they told me i was automatically charged a 20% tip. This is not the first time i have been overcharged, I had a similar situation a couple months ago with a lot more money involved but that time, i did not follow it up. The club declined a refund and were very unhelpful.

I was really impressed by the staff. They where very amical and polite. The security are a tad bit rude but what do except. They are suppose to be that way in club around drunk people. I showed up not wearing the proper dress code, and was told that if I came back, I would skip to the front of the line. Not only was that the case, but I was given a complimentary entry and coat check for two! Security is top notch here, and the clientele is very much tailored to have a VIP experience. The atmosphere is pretty good, and bottle service is the main feature here. The main drawback is that there isn't much dancing! This is a great place to bring a bunch of people for an exclusive experience, but for just some fun and dancing, this place might not be right for you. Also, there are only really options for moderately expensive drinks. Still had a good time!

For a place that demands a minimum spend of $600 for a table reservation, the service and decor is pretty basic nothing like what’s advertised on Instagram. The person that takes reservations over the phone is not polite. Server did not pour drinks, dropped the bottles and walked away. It also felt like I was at an all ages event. Very disappointing. Went out for my friend's birthday, who had made a large reservation for 11p.m. The bouncer didn't let in her boyfriend because of his shoes, and he had to tip him 20$ to attend his girlfriend's party. I don't usually write reviews at all but.. If you're under 21, don't waste your time. Bouncers won't even check your ID and will judge your age based on your physical appearance only, while disrespectfully turning you away. I showed up properly dressed and was denied entry because of my height. I'm a guy, about 5'5, I have a tattoo on my forearm...Obviously all the other men around me were taller than I. The bouncer asked for my age with a smile and said they only let people over the age of 21 inside the club. I told him I wasn't a minor and that I'll show him my ID's and he told me that it was useless, that I should just leave. I was there for a friend's birthday, and we had paid for a full table (which is pretty expensive there). They even came outside to tell him I was not a minor. I am extremely unsatisfied. I would never recommend this club to anyone. I got treated like trash and wasn't even in the club yet.

We bought a booth for a bachelorette party $600. I was told there was a service charge/tip but I didn't know it was a standard 20% regardless if service was bad. They hold your credit card and ID until you pay it so I paid it even though our service was non existant in the first hour. When we had arrived we were waiting for bottles to come to our booth for 30 mins. More people started to show up and randoms just started sitting in our booth which was already small for our group. Our host, a waiter, a bouncer and i think a manager took care of our problems once we complained. They moved us to a bigger booth that was less crowded and made sure we had enough juice and water and that our table was cleaned. They checked up on us often. The music and the great staff follow up is what made our night.

Nos guest list étaient respecter à la lettre et tout ce qu’on Avait arranger préalablement au téléphone était suivis à la lettre rendu sûr place, ça fait changement de la désorganisation de plusieurs autres places à Montréal. J’y suis aller vendredi passé soi le 17 janvier on était un groupe mix et on a été reçu par le chinois de manière tellement amicale, qu’on a passer une exceptionnelle soirée. Les gens qui m’accompagnait était des touristes et j’ai pu leur montrer les ambiances de Montréal. L’endroit était remplis . Le DJ était incroyable que rendu à 3h du matin, one ne voulait mm plus quitter. Mes invités sont retournés avec un super souvenir. So I need to be honest, I almost didn't come here based on reviews I saw online. A lot of people were complaining about staff/ dress code and I can say I had the complete opposite experience. We went to Blvd44 on Industry night, which is Monday. If you want to dance and have a good time, I suggest this is where you go! I had messaged the club on Facebook before I went about the dress code since so many people in other reviews seemed to have an issue, here was their response: "Here is the dress code with no baseball caps, no jogging pants, sports shoes/ running shoe, sandals must have a strap in the back. No Bermuda shorts." My boyfriend and I dressed appropriately and had no problems getting in. The bar staff were so fun and so nice and the club has a great atmosphere PLUS a great patio area to sit in if you're a fool like me and wear heels you just bought to the club for the first time. The only thing I would say the club COULD work on is consistency. We saw many people just wearing tank tops/ sports jerseys/ ball caps/ not what they had told us was dress code. I'm not sure if it's because these people paid for bottle service, or maybe because it was a Monday night but it would be helpful to have some consistency there. All in all ignore any reviews you read anywhere else. If you want to have some fun on Monday night in Montreal this is the place to be. (Pics are from the patio!)

The inside of the club was nice but on the way out I by accidentally bumped into the bouncer and he was threatening me saying he has the right to fight me and to watch my back. Just because there a security guard they think they can just beat up people when ever they want and that’s not right.

Went there with a group of 10 people, all dressed very decently. We waited for 1 hour in the line but they didn't let us in because some of us were wearing sneakers. (As in Jordans, Nike's and Dr. Martins). Would not recommend for travellers.
