Great bar to hang out on a saturday evening. The crowd is mostly working professionals. The bar turns into a night club at the late hours. Great place to go whether you're a single or with your loved one.

Nice place but I wish there was more seeting for people who dont have a bottles..my feet were so soar from my high heels and the booths kept being taken by people buying bottles so I left unfortunately....sucked because the music was very good!!

As far as I am concerned, no trip to Montreal is complete without going to Bar Le Confessional. Convenient location, very close to some of the other major clubs in the area. The staff at the door and inside are super friendly and helpful. The bar itself isn’t huge, but given the number of people that are inside usually, its the perfect size. Bartenders know what they’re doing, and security is always walking around on the main floor to look out for anyone causing trouble. I love the music here, DJ is always mixing good music, gets you in the mood. Its a good place for a couple or big groups, something for everyone. I would like to see the management enforce the coat check instead of letting people just put their jackets on the couch/seating area by the entrance. This is the only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars, other than that, amazing place to go checkout.

Bit of an odd place. It was quiet when we went in and had an odd feel to it. The decor looks like a nightclub almost and there was even comment that it looks a bit like a strip club! For a few drinks with friends it was good though.

I usually go to Le Confessional on Tuesday nights (9pm-3am) for a dose of great Live Music performed by talented artists. Great crowd and gotta love the tasty 0.5L Hoegaarden on tap!

There's plenty of booze on the shelf, but no one capable of pouring a half-decent drink. I asked for a Negroni and got a half-measure of swill at a full-cocktail price. High on price, low on character: go elsewhere if you appreciate your drinks or like bars with real character.

This place was a lot of fun, the bottles were reasonably priced and the music was excellent. We went on a Friday, ordered a bottle, was not allowed a booth since u need to order 3 bottles for that privelege, but we got a standing table and it was fine. Crowd was respectful and fun, no 18 year olds wiling out, just people who fondly remember hip hop of the early 2000s. Lighting is dim and there seems to be a sexy fog or misty type ambience reminiscent of the strip club. decor was very nice. Very fun and sexy atmosphere

I honestly dont have anything bad to say about this club exept for the holy pictures of virgin mary and Jesus Christ in the bathrooms. This is outrageous and disrespectful and should be removed in respect for the christian community and ur clientele. A lot of things are tolerated in montreal... like being called whatever name u want (le confessional, vatican ect ) but holy pictures in bathrooms should not be tolerated and is the reason of many of ur one star reviews on facebook. If you remove the holy pictures from ur bathroom all the one star reviews on fb and elsewhere about this issue shall be removed. Thanks for your concern.

I don't know how to approach my review but I'll be honest.. It's the same than everything else out there. A cash grab with watered down drinks and music to blow your eardrums. Going from the door to the back felt like the beaches of D-Day. Coat check is totally disorganized but i have to give credit to the staff.. Bouncers were professional and the bar as well. I would suggest visiting earlier in the evening and have extra patience for a parking spot.

A cool bar to be on a Friday or Saturday night. Get there before midnight if you want to enjoy some good cocktails with friends and not have to worry about loud music. After midnight it gets wild! (In a good way)

This bar is the worst! we went in for drinks and the place was empty. the drinks were overpriced. the place started to fill up with people, went out for a smoke and were not allowed to go back in once we were done our smoke break as the bouncer did not like the looks of us and we could not go and finish our overpriced beer! worst place ever! filled with thugs and trashy girls. this place is not for average people guy in the bathroom with a flashlight! stay far away from this place. super sketchy!

Cool spot, plays hip hop (I went on fri night). A little small. Got in around 11.30 so didn’t have to deal with line but looks like you’ll have to wait after 1230. They were stingy with the alcohol so got beer instead. Very small men’s bathroom. Not bad though.

I don't usually leave reviews but this place really hit the mark. Not only is it a beautiful location (is anything more picturesque in Montreal than the Old Port???) and it's a GREAT venue (15/10 aesthetic in terms of general Montreal clubs and special s/o to the mirrors, which are amazing for when you're dancing and you're really feeling yourself, a.k.a all the time), despite the distance from downtown. What really made the bar stand out, however, is the outstanding service. All the drinks were VERY GENEROUSLY made (bless) and when I lost my phone, everyone was more than helpful and I not only found it but was able to recuperate it very early. Definitely going back (ideally not losing my phone this time)!!!!!

Good thing music isn’t bad there because I swear the bartenders have no respect. I was asked to wait a bit to order. She’s passing her friends and her usual customers and completely ignores me even after I asked her 3 times if I can order. After I tipped her good that’s when she started giving me attention.. that’s terrible lol
