On arrival $ 16 for the cloakroom, oh well, that doubled after the pandemic. Would you have thought you were in a downtown tse club like the Five? Ah bah no tse not he closed but the Datcha did not understand the lesson. It's really sad to see one of the coolest bars in Mile End transform like this. The little rich are coming for the reopening but the loyal clientele who came to appreciate the underground atmosphere and good electro music will have to find a new spot. Les petits richous viennent pour la réouverture mais la fidèle clientèle qui venait apprécié l'ambiance underground et la bonne musique electro devra trouver un nouveau spot.

Best place to party in Montreal between 10-3. Why? Russian-inspired drinks, smoke & strobe setup, and great music - consistently. Plus, you can take a break at the Kabinet next door for a more casual chit-chat vibe. It’s very hard to find a place that matches Datcha in delivering consistent quality across the board. Keep an eye out for Forrest and Lost Heroes on Datcha’s Facebook page for some Xtra good music.

Can easily be added to the short list of places who's vibe—turn of the 20th Russian tea room here—is both style and substance. Small but intimate and unique space that's a fantastic place to start or end a date. This is the kind of place you suggest your out of town friends definitely stop by. Coffee by 49th Parallel and local MTL roaster Dispatch: ✅coffee snobs. Went a bit too early to try the drinks, but any bar with more than one bourbon option is a well stocked bar in my book.

If you really want a truly authentic Montreal experience, you need to ask for Sabrina at this hidden gem in Mile End. First off, we arrived there mid afternoon and we sat at the bar. Sabrina is more than a mixologist, she’s an artist. Her knowledge of obscure Italian Amarones is vast and she allowed us to sample tiny sips. The cocktails are the freshest , most inventive and herbaceous in all of Montreal. The left side of their cocktail menu is their own unique concoctions which are world class. Aside from amazing cocktails, Sabrina is an amazingly charismatic raconteur and have us real recommendations. Don’t bother with TripAdvisor or the others. If you want to know about where the best places in Montreal are, talk to a bartender. Hurry though, Sabrina is moving to Lisbon to start her own bar with her boyfriend Edgar and that means Lisbon will now the go-to place for travelers who are looking for authenticity.

Cool bar in the Mile End. The decor is nice and I liked the vibe. The drinks were on the pricier side but that’s expected. Gets very crowded on the weekend which makes it kind of hard to walk around, but I’ve seen worse. If you want to sit down and grab a drink though I would suggest you to come before midnight as it gets pretty festive after that (music gets louder and a lot of people dancing). The bar next door is also very cute but was way too crowded. We were stepping on each other’s feet as it was tiny. One bartender was a bit rude.

My friend and I were very pleasantly surprised by this place, it's small but has a very good crowd and amazing electro dance music. Everyone are in their 20's early 30's and casually dressed, so no stress layed back atmosphere. Yiu can either dance or sit at the small tables beside. We only payed 10$ to get in on a Friday night, was well worth it. Will come back next week!

Also worth mentioning, the Kabinet is linked to the Datcha bar from the inside so to get into the Kabinet bar you need to go to the Datcha which is more of a club than a bar. It's great because if you feel like you had enough drinks at the bar of Kabinet, you can switch to the Datcha to dance a little bit and change the ambiance! Actually the first place I've been that has both the bar and club in the same address!

I've been to the Jazz and Tarot Thursday twice now and it's always pretty fun. There's an interesting speakeasy atmosphere with live Jazz music, drinks are pretty good and not that expensive ($12-14 for a cocktail) and the service is intimate and friendly. The personalized tarot card readings also give a sort of mystical vibe to the place which is pretty nice.

This place is awesome. A Russian Tea House inspired spot features a very nice selection of amaros, creative cocktails. They make their ginger syrup for their mules in house and it is phenomenal. I stuck with the traditional Moscow but they offer all the variations with other spirits. Definitely worth a stop for a drink.

First of all I loved it. 10/10 would recommend. But I am a little confused. There are pictures of Russia, flags of Ukraine and Georgia on the wall, all the music playing was 80’s American stuff, and there’s free pizza for the taking. They really kept us on our toes. Have a mule.

Have had a couple of great nights here. Dangerously good double gin and tonics and amazing music for dancing! I wish the dancing area was bigger so we could have more people there.
