I have been using Canadian Tire's order online and pick up at the store in Summerside PEI since last year. Initially when I used the system my item was waiting up front for me at their customer service desk. The email notification of item ready was also in sync. An easy quick in and out and all was well. The last three times however the system has broken down. Pickup email the first time, item not at the desk.Second time, no email but customer service showing the order ready. Again I waited. Third time I asked for the item without the pickup email and the agent did get it for me but became enraged that I asked her to do that. Instead of looking at it as having done me a great service she took afront and lost the customer for her story instead. Awful customer relations. we are still basically good here. Third time I went in without a pic

Horrible experience so far!! I took my car to canadian tire to get an oil change. They called me 3 hours later telling me that I needed 2 new tierods, an alignment, a new drivetrain seal, it was leaking oil and fluids and some other stuff. Oil change was $60 they were telling me that it was going to be $450 in labour and $500 in parts. I said not to touch anything just the oil change and they complied. When I was leaving the parking lot I noticed that my steering wheel was sitting crooked and it was perfectly fine before I took it there. Also when i got home my driveway was spotless, if my car was leaking oil and other fluids, there would be a mark. If Mark's show up now then I know that canadian tire sabotaged my car to try to scam more money out of me, if that's the case I will add an edit to this review hoping that whoever's reads this will stay away from that horrible place.

Went here because my 2013 Santa Fe was having engine issues related to a turbo sensor/ DTS error. Car was in limp mode due to issue. I was initially concerned that I wouldn't get the proper service needed on my SUV because they had a number of apprentices working with only 2 full time mechanics on site. Happy to say they figured it out with a quick call to Hyundai as there was a known bulletin issue about this error back from 2011 in a turbo Sonatas. They had me on my way in relative short order and at minimal cost. They didn't try and push other repairs or services, nor did they make more out of what was wrong with my car. Nice to see some honesty.

The store is great but the customer service is a major fail imo. If you are looking for help it is hard to find, if you happen to have to walk all the way from the far end of the store to go to the customer service desk for them to call someone to the department you require help in chances are you will be all the way back and still have to wait a few minutes. The garden center is amazing but quite expensive in comparison to others. Always at check out it is a line up and wait.

Brought in vehicle to have radio antenna replaced. They replaced the antenna for $50 and the radio didnt work afterwards. They said it would cost another $40 to "diagnose" why their installation of the antenna didnt produce even one clear station. Worked fine before antenna was broken. I do not trust these guys to do a job properly. If they fail to do it properly they will blame the customer and try to charge you to fix their improper job. When they handed me back the vehicle and took my money...they didnt even TELL me the radio didnt work. When i asked them why not they said they installed the antenna but didnt bother checking if it worked or not. THAT to me sounds like an obvious part of the process that any legitimate service person of ANY kind would do....which is check to see if the job they did actually fixed the problem. Nope. They dont check. Not the kind of "service" i'll ever spend my money on again. No wonder they have appointments available same day. Most people have already figured out how they operate and steer clear. I'd recommend that.

Not a good experience today in CT Simcoe: The floor manager and another black shirted manager improperly wearing masks below their noses speaking to customers a foot away - how long does it take to figure this out? Tried to return some goods: regardless of how many people in line, only one person handles returns so a very long wait. Other staff entered the customer service area looked at the line and walked away. Then the return staff asked endless unnecessary personal questions such as my address, phone number for whatever reason - I had receipts - why is this necessary and what do they do with this information? The floor manager said it was for warranty purposes which doesn't make sense - then said we have people returning a lot of goods - a return isn't a warranty claim and I guess they don't trust their customers. Finally, I watched as customer after customer was given the same pen on a chain to sign for the return - I requested it be sanitized which it was, but this is not sensible in the midst of an epidemic. The staff did sanitize the counter between customers. Their Standard Reply below - what more is there to learn? - nonsense - they know what is going on - most of this return nonsense are their policies which was confirmed by the floor manager.

I have been going to Canadian Tire for vehicle repairs for several years now. There has never once ever been a time where I was disappointed with the service provided on my car. Nicole and Nick have always gone out of their way to “squeeze me in” and I have always left happy and knowing my vehicle was given the best care. Most importantly I am given the truth as to upcoming repairs that will need to be taken care of etc. Not only do I feel safe with the work being done on my vehicle, I am extremely satisfied. The Elliot Lake online service is a joke. When I placed an order online at 11:30 am, the Point Of Sale online inventory shows they had plenty of the item on stock. My store pick up was assigned as the following day. I immediately received a notice that the order is being process. I noticed the store inventory started to decrease slowly. The next morning, I noticed the store inventory slowly decreasing to ZERO. At 12:30 pm, I received an email that my order has been CANCELLED ( not by me ) and no rain check. Why did they fill my online order at the last second??? Filed compliant with a reference number to the corporate office. No response from them either. Everywhere else, Canadian Tire is doing a fine job building their online pickup service. Not here in Elliot Lake.

Customer Service was decent this trip, although the tools worker was rude, the other two I dealt with were great. It is rare to have good service at this store, I like the store, but the staff are the worst I have seen. Never have I seen a place where the staff run from u if they think your looking for someone to help and they look at you like your an idiot when speaking about something you do for a living, makes me wanna burst laughing, although I have worked customer care at a hardware store so I understand that sometimes the customer can be wrong even when dealing with there job, but these guys take it to a whole new level. With that said this store SUCKS FOR SERVICE but is alright for picking up what u need right away.

I always love shopping here sometimes the customer service is iffy wether or not they can help you. The tablets in the store need to be fixed as well, the last time I went in there some of the keys on one of the tablets didn't work and two of the other ones just didn't work at all. I took in my car because the check engine light was blinking (it was previously on but when it's blinking that's when you should worry) and they charged me 90$ just to hook it up to the computer and told me it would cost 550$ to fix. Looked at it myself a couple days later and it was a spark plug which is a 4$ fix. They don't know what they're doing they just want as much money as possible. And the worst part is the 550$ "fix" they wanted to do wouldn't have changed a thing.

I had some issues this last time I went there, however as I was leaving the parking lot in my vehicle, one of the older women that works there asked if she could help me. My experience at this location was above and beyond expectations. A sudden issue with my truck on a Saturday would have caused a severe impact on my upcoming work schedule -- after a few setbacks, the CT team pulled off an unbelievable win in OT! Three members were dedicated to getting me back on the road almost two hours beyond the scheduled closing time for the garage. Also, the cost was very reasonable for the effort pu forth. With not many options in the area on weekends, I drove away very impressed with the service i received from personnel at this location. Thanks, guys!

I had bought 2 MasterCraft skill saws at the same time (one for me and one for a Christimas Gift)- One did not work at all when it was tried (only the laser on it lit up) The Second Skill Saw worked for about 10 min. and then stopped working -and only the laser worked. One skill saw was exchanged for another one- the same thing again. I had bought a Mig Welder (Mastercraft) shortly after- the wire feed was messed up- I sent it away to be repaired- (Under Warranty) When it was returned- several things on it was damaged. I did not bother to notify the store. I'm just tired of dealing with a store that has little regard for their customers- and low regard for products they sell. (Yarmouth N.S. Store) ___________________________________________________________________ A Yard Works Electric lawnmower had got the Plastic Power button lever broken -and the Grass Cover Flap on the back Chewed UP -from pulling backwards on the mower and the Grass Cover Flap went under the mower and got chewed up by the blade! I tried to return it within a week for a refund- but they would not refund my money- Only offered to send it away for repair- and I was told I might be charged a fee. Or I could exchange it for another (which I did- but was not satisfied with the solution) I then got a call from the store asking about the service- which they called my cell phone, and would not return the call to my home phone when I requested it- to discuss the situation. Later I was also notified that CT had Banned me from the Store for 1 year! (Bridgewater N.S.) A person would be better off not buying some things from Canadian Tire- Because the cost of gas to go buy it --and cost of gas to return it for repair --and cost of gas to pick it up again-- might be more than what the item is actually worth. Buy Quality Products- not MasterCRAP! ________________________________________________________________

3 things I want to comment on; 1. The staff in 99% are very nice and helpful but VERY UNDER staffed. The 1% sucks when the manager is not available. 2. The items on sale are poorly marked, often NOT on shelf, nor is the price. The store itself, is too small. 3. The electronic price check is a joke; If I want to check the price guess what? It directs me to check the price elsewhere!? I don't shop there if I can help it. I avoid it if I can help it but most times...I don't have a choice. Just when you thought the customer service couldn't get any worse. We call in to see how to order. The man told us to ignore the time on the website and that it would be about an hour. We drove over an hour to get here. We have now been waiting an hour. We have been the only one sitting in the parking lot for over 20 minutes at a time. No person will give us our pump. Already having a hectic day I ran to Candian tire to pick up some wood stain n a sponge. My son was crying in his car seat n I was already stressed to the max. Checkout was packed with only two cashiers but we waited patiently as I get up to the counter I reliesed I forgot my wallet at home. Instead of the cashier saying she'd keep the stuff there for me while we ran home she huffed rather loudly then rolled her eyes at me while saying nothing. Taking the things away and that was it. It was so incredibly rude and made me feel even worse then I already had on a stressful day. A little kindness would have gone a LONG way.
