Went there to have a few drinks. Kept us in line for a while and saying it was at capacity. After 45 minutes we decided to leave and once we did a group of 5 girls walked in no problem and there were 5 of us (1 male and 3 females). Not sure if it was a race thing or what, but really messed up in doing so.

Wasn’t terrible. But the build-your-own ikea bruschetta was a disappointment. Three slices of toast and a ramekin of cherry tomatoes and cheese… for like $11.

Just awful. From service to quality, just a poor experience. Crispy gnocchi was a disaster. Pieces of store bought premade gnocchi in a pool of grease topped with cheese. Honestly one bite and no one went back for more. Nachos with brisket were alright just cold and slightly stale. Calamari was decent. The service was by far the worst of it all. Just a total lack of care in general. Quiet part of the evening, not many tables but service was slow and very unprofessional.

This is a great historic bar in Barrie's downtown. They have a great patio, and I've enjoyed years of playing darts, and hanging out with friends. They have some of the best wings in town, and very friendly attentive staff. I look forward to sitting on their street patio every year for promenade days, and enjoying some cold beers.

If I could rate it negative stars I would. Reserved a booth on June 19th for my birthday July 15th. Upon arriving with confirmation email in hand, we were questioned about the validity of the confirmation email because they had no record of my reservation. As if to say they couldn't possibly had made a mistake. The cover girl was extremely rude and had the attitude that this mix up was our fault and we were inconveniencing her. After a long debate we were allowed entry and told where we can go claim our booth. When getting to the booth section we were told there were no booths available. Which they questioned our confirmation email as well. Long story short, we left. No intention of going back. Had a great time at the Johnson's though!

Was staying in Barrie from Toronto and decided to check out this place. The vibe and music was great but the drinks were an absolute joke and disappointment. Asked for cranberry vodka and it was all cranberry juice, doesn't pour proper shot into a glass first then a cup. Ordered shots of tequila and they did not give it in a shot glass, nor poured it first in the shot glass then cup. We got 2 plastic cups, one with half a tablespoon of tequila likely and the other barely a tablespoon. Maybe we are just spoiled from legitimate Toronto establishments, but regardless we will not be returning to this joke. The drinks at Kenzington burger were proper, recommend checking them out instead.

They are far more interested in doing shots with anyone that makes them feel pretty or important for a half second then to actually do there job. Disorganized very poor service. I do not have much to say about there food or day service, but if it’s anything like there night club please don’t go.

This is by far your best bet for a great place. Cheap drink thru the week. Again the manager is really personable and very welcoming. I really like this place lots of tvs. Good food. This local bar is divided into two sections: the "sports side" and the "dance side". The former is usually populated by people older than 25, and the latter is usually frequented by rowdy college kids. The food is decent, and the facilities and floor are usually pretty clean, but this place can be very crowded on the weekends.

A Barrie institution, its known for being a mediocre night club that doesn't always draw Barrie's most notable crowds. During the day Queens has a great summer patio with fun bucket drinks and a large menu with above average pub fare. Worth the stop for a summer cool down drink (recommend: Sour patch kids cocktail), but if you're in the mood for a dancing night out I'd keep walking...

Good crowd age, packed very noisy chatter. The sound system is weak at best and you could barely hear the band over the crazy loud chatter. Needs a house sound upgrade and a soundman. The waitresses were slammed with drink orders and it took nearly an hour and a half to get food... And then, the stir fry was just okay... Lots of noodles a bit sweeter than I'd have prefered. Nice folks but the basics need work.

We were planning on ordering food but because of the delay we did not order food and chose to go across the street to flying monkeys. On my first visit, I had a chicken quesadilla, and it is probably the best quesadilla I have ever had. Can't really mess up a quesadilla you'd think, but who would have thought you can make a quesadilla THIS GOOD?????? The presentation is super cute for all of their foods as well. Highly recommended.

The food took a long time to come out. There chicken wings were not good. During covid my family and I watched as the only thing they cleaned/disinfect was the table top. Wife and I dined here one extremely hot Aug day during the 2020 pandemic. All COVID-19 precautions were in place. Hostess was extremely outgoing. Learnt the many dart boards were closed up due to the virus restrictions in place. Our meal came very well prepared, did not mind the wait knowing all was being created fresh. Loved the hickory sticks in my caesar salad. Worked much better than croutons. Fish was flaky and oh so tasty. Wife enjoyed her burger and fries.

I give yah a solid 2 stars, let me tell you why. Security/bouncers complete idiots, gave me an entire questionnaire on my identity from my ID. Ridiculous. Both of them were very dim. Nonetheless, cheap drinks are nice but didn't see any henny or patron. Plastic cups are unprofessional in my opinion. Not a house party.

I’ve been going here for 3 years but finally got a booth with some friends. Messaged them on Instagram who directed me to a guy who booked my booth only to find out when we all get there he didn’t do it and we stood there for 20-30 min looking oblivious. Then our booth becomes some lil picnic table I coulda built myself for 380$.. let alone a worker shoved me and my girlfriend out of the way for her and her friend to get to the washroom and my girlfriend almost fell like what? I used to love this place..

I was in from Calgary and my niece drove 2 hours to meet me. We wanted a pub style meal. she ordered appy to find out they did not have it so she changed to Fried Dill Pickles. Not the best choice. My sister and I ordered Fish and Chips which was excellent. My niece then ordered Jacks Chix Burger which turned out to be her second bad choice. I guess two out of three is better than nothing. Young girls service was excellent.

First time here today. Probably one of the best quesadillas I’ve ever had. Pink coloured lemonade drink was yummy too. Didn’t get the name of our server but the service was exceptional. Pretty brunette girl that had a top bun and was wearing a pink tank top. Thank you!

The Queens is a Barrie institution. Great food, beverages and service. Very popular outdoor patio area during the summer months. Thursdays often see the College crowd, and popular on the weekend for dancing. Sports themed bar within the establishment. Live music and DJs.

I would give this place a zero if I could because we couldn't stay. We reserved a booth for my friends birthday and when we showed up they told us they couldn't give us a booth because there were none available. To top it off they were extremely rude to us. Wouldn't go back or recommend to others

Our server, “Darrell” was absolutely fantastic. He served us drinks in a prompt manner, was very attentive with our every request and most importantly, he made us laugh. Would definitely recommend going to the Queens Hotel to visit Darrell. I think he works mostly days and Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights.

Worst night club. The girls that work behind the bar are so rude. They are far more interested in doing shots with anyone that makes them feel pretty or important for a half second then to actually do there job. Disorganized very poor service. I do not have much to say about there food or day service, but if it’s anything like there night club please don’t go.

Always a good time. Here's my only complaint since 1988. The booths have these weird legs that extend out and EVERYBODY trips over. It's very dangerous. Someone drunk is going to knock all their teeth out when they hit the dirt. Otherwise, the staff is nice and the tunes are generally good.

This was the worst food and service I have ever experienced. Firstly we had to send our draft beers back twice because they were beyond flat. Then when they were replaced with pop the pop was terribly flat as well. We ordered from the tiki menu and it took over an hour for our food to arrive. It would have been a much more enjoyable wait if the patrons next to us were not loud, belligerent and over served as they were doing shots with the servers and hostess while yelling obscenities at each other. The food was completely non edible. The coconut shrimp was so overcooked it came out black, chicken fingers were more like twice cooked and three times burnt chicken belts. Our jaws ached from chewing our food but at this point we were starving so we attempted to choke down what was served to us. Queens you were such a disappointment, best to leave you in the past as a dive bar...

The bartenders here are amazing but the rest of the staff are ridiculous. My sister was jumped by 3 people on the steps and the bouncers just watched and refused to call police when asked to do so. They literally just walked inside. They have zero control. The pub side is much better if you go early, and leave before the bar rush.

Really nice place, sports bar in one area and club-like set up in the other area. I came her a few times on Friday/Saturday nights with a girl I was dating in Barrie at the time. I will come here again in the future I will just make sure not to make the mistake of bringing a total broke, ungrateful, childish loser like my ex-gf and a real woman next time.

I was not impressed with my visit/ experience on Friday the 26th. I’ll be honest and say I was genuinely afraid I was going to get sick from our visit. Our table was clearly not wiped down, there was dried up water marks from previous drinks before. The glasses that were given to us were completely dirty with residue from previous drinkers, there was even a clear lip marking that was definitely not from me. Working in the industry I know that taking these extra steps to clean for your guest to feel more safe is not that difficult. Drinks and food and drinks were okay.

Visited the patio today for the long weekend. Super friendly staff and excellent food. The service went above and beyond when the gentleman manning the front entrance found us a spot suitable for a stroller and helped us get it in and out. Will make this spot my first choice when returning to Barrie.
