Staff is mentally challenged or not trained, I drank one pint my friend drank five or 6. When I went to leave with me driving of course the manager comes running out saying I am not allowed to drive...explained the situation and how he saw nothing or never introduced himself before this. Would not let me leave until letting my drunk friend drive or he would call the police which at the time I should’ve welcomed to prove his stupidity. So this place encourages drunk driving whether by accident or pure ignorance...my family has been going to moxies for 30 years since we have lived out west and Will never ever return to a moxies and neither will anyone I know because they all have similar stories stories about errible service and management. Plus anyone who wants a quality meal at that price would go to the keg anyways

My wife and I went here a few weeks ago. It was my first time to Moxies and the food was great! we had a really good server by the name of Paige, she told us about the menu options and was on the ball. the food was great but the server and service was even better. The wife and I will be back for sure 100%

Server was super friendly, and I really enjoyed my wine. We were sat in the far corner which wasn't the best seat on the patio but it was quieter which is a bonus. My food could have been better I had the chicken Alfredo which honestly tasted like the base was made with Campbells soup. Still tasty though.

We are not hard to please people at all. However if I order medium I expect medium not medium well. Even spoke to the manager to show her and they wanted to redo the steak. We couldn't wait as we has guests coming get to our home. Very disappointed by this. Next time we will go the the Keg.....wheread we originally wanted to go. Last time here. No comp at all which is unacceptable in my opinion. Asking for that much money and not getting what u want is unfair . The waitress however was great....no complaints there .

I sat at the bar, and it took a few minutes for the bartender to notice I was there. Everything after that was very good though. I had the beef dip with a salad and both were tasty. I was asked several times by various staff if I needed anything. I would definitely go back

Food and the patio are excellent. The staff are very nice and offer decent service but they need some time to get better. We went a couple of times as the province was opening up and it was obvious that some were not as proficient as others. In time I am confident they will be a 5 star rating.

Thought and intention had gone into accessibility from before we walked through the door. Good curb access, for buttons (could be bigger, but also staff was alert and watching as we approached and there ready to lend a hand). Staff knew exactly which tables were accessible and the round table they took us to could have sat four wheelchairs together (so hard to find!) Great knowledge of and respect for food intolerances and allergies. Washrooms were technically speaking accessible - with an accessible stall and a cut out under one of the sinks, but I think an additional grab bar at the toilet and the placement of the soap could improve things. I'm not sure what the impact of the lowered lighting in the building would be for a partially sighted person, but overall, very impressed.

Came with a friend for dinner and wine. Our waitress (Kim, I think?) was very patient with us as we were catching up with each other and took awhile to make a decision about our meal choices. Our waitress offered some suggestions and advice and, overall, we were both happy with our meals. I got the Red Thai Curry and my friend got the Fish Tacos. I enjoyed my meal a lot and my friend liked hers too, although she was not a huge fan of the dressing/sauce. Our wine was also quite good. Great service and a great meal. Thank you!

Came in for a dinner with wife and son. Ordered two burgers, a fully loaded for me and the blakened chicken for wife. And a cheese pizza for son. Also got a dtarter salad with addition of chicken, which I forgot to take a picture. Honestly, everything was very tasty. The place is just a little more pricier than average places like SwiCha, Mont, EaSiMa. The server, David, was amazing. The speed of the service is well. Will come again for sure. Update: Just got the dessert. WOW

I had the chicken sandwich and it was very salty and the fries tasted frozen, atmosphere wasn’t comfortable , restaurant needs some cleaning. Beer wasn’t as cold as it should be and the menus are hard to read with extremely small font. Overall not a great experience

The restaurant is clean and well looked after. The patio, although it overlooks a parking lot, is comfortable and inviting. The food was awesome. We are on a keto diet and the cheerful server did not even blink when I asked for my beef dip to be served without the bun and she suggested a lettuce "bun" instead - fantastic. I substituted a salad for the fries and bam! Keto friendly! My husband had the cobb salad (one of the top cobbs he has ever had). Thank you for making the keto choices so tasty.

During my first visit the waitress took away my plate of ravioli with truffle suace with out even asking if I was finished and I wasn't because I was still chewing.... second visit was even worse than the first the pasta was way overcooked they said they will comp it but they didn't and had to wait for 15 min for them to correct the mistake, not too many ppl there but still had to ask our server for water several times before it was given safe to say we will never go there again

Asked for extra mushrooms extra sauce on the side. On 2 dishes and the mngr says he spoke with the cook and was made to order pasta is dry have a total of 5 mushrooms no extra sauce on the side i order from moxies once a week as its my favorite restaurant took pictures to prove. The manager hasnt called me . Back ill call and speak with head manager chris tomorrow

Wait for it....I met a friend at Moxie's for appetizers and a drink. The atmosphere is nice, the service was fine and the drinks and food were good. I was meeting family after and had to go, but the waitress still had not brought the bill over and I couldn't wait any longer, so I got up and put my jacket on. It was pouring rain and my friend had an umbrella with him, so he offered to walk me out to my car parked right in front to keep me dry. As I finished putting my coat on, the waitress finally brought the bill. I explained that I was rushed. My friend said he was just taking me out to the car with his umbrella and was leaving everything he had at the table and would be right back to take care of the bill. The waitress went immediately to the manager who in turn became angry and prevented my friend from walking me out. We are mid 50's, successful and were certainly not impaired, or unruly. The Manager even went to our table and grabbed my friends personal belongings from the table and gave it to him demanding payment. Chivalry is dead with these young staff who cannot assess a situation appropriately and mistake proper manners of people old enough to be their parents, as criminal behavior. I will never go there again!!

For a place that boasts about it's steak it sure was mediocre. My 10 ounce steak was about 2 ounces of gristle. Thought maybe it was just bad luck but my wife's was the same. The calamari was rubber, sent it back and got slightly less rubbery in its place. The service was great and they did comp the Calamari but for a $150 meal the food was meh.

The customer service was out of this world. I enjoyed a dinner there this evening. Around 9pm. The food was fantastic. I had no complaints even though I found a small eyelash in the meal. It didn't matter to me. I did however joke and point it out .A new meal was sent out to me(after I finished and enjoyed the first) and both meals were comped. I was in shock and very gracious. Above and beyond from the management. Thank you and see you again.

I just had lunch here today. Recently I have been diagnosed with celiacs. When I mentioned it to the waiter he went through the menu and told me what they could do for me with their gluten free options. Then the manager came out and spoke to me about my order and then he spoke to the chef to ensure it was made accordingly. Best service I have ever had at a restaurant. I would definitely go back.

I took my best friend there last night to celebrate her birthday. As always, we had a delicious dinner. The food was cooked to perfection, & the serving was most generous. What I'm finding lately though, is that staff have a tendency to be overly attentive. The waitress came to the table a few times to ask if everything was ok. Then another woman approached us, (I think it may have been the hostess)., then a male waiter approached us. It seemed to me that each time my friend & I were engaged in conversation, the waitress appeared at the table. While I respect that fact they are doing their jobs, & being attentive; approaching the table so many times becomes a little annoying. This will not deter me from going to Moxie's in the future, but I do hope whoever reads this review takes this as CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Thank you, Moxie's for helping to make my best friend's birthday most pleasant.

Unfortunately we felt the need to give a low star rating because of our experience this evening with the girl at the door. I say unfortunate because we love Moxie's! We arrived at approximately 6:30pm and asked to sit in the dining room area which was mostly empty. The hostess or whatever her role is stated no you can't you can eat in the bar area. We looked around in the dining room and there were very few people and lots of booths and dining tables available. When I mentioned this to her she said "Those are for reservations coming in tonight" We said "those are all reservations"??and she said yes. We said how long would we have to wait to sit in the dining area and she said at least 40 minutes. We were quite baffled. One of the younger girls standing around was about to help us and the this hostess cut her off and said sit them in the bar area. After we finished eating around 7:30 in a very crowded and noisy bar area we went to leave and looked in the dining area and again very few people and lots of places to sit. I said to the hostess, "so all your reservations didn't show up"? and she gave me some sort of smirk and looked down and ignored me. Why we didn't get the choice to sit in the quieter side of Moxies is beyond us and we can only put it down to a hostess with control issues. Anyway, our dinner was delicious as usual, we go to Moxie's on a regular basis and their food is amazing. And Christine (?) our server was a true professional! Too bad one bad apple made our visit a 3/10 when usually it's a 10/10

They customized my salad beautifully. Ordered steak salad and got the steak rare, minimized the dressing and removed the cheese (I'm on an ultra low calorie diet). Atmosphere is great and we had good service...what else could you ask for.

My bill was so small that I would have tipped her MORE if I had the opportunity of choosing the "amount" option.. Find it kinda odd.. What if i didnt want to tip?... This is the second time I've been here.

We went to Moxie's wth some friends for dinner. We were seated in a booth near the back of the restaurant. We ordered some drinks and appetizers and when the appetizers arrived we noticed some flies coming around. When we looked around, we noticed the back wall was covered in little black flies. We mentioned the flies to our server and requested to be moved to another table. The server was aware of the issue and said that the flies have been a problem and moved us one booth down. The flies seemed to follow us (or maybe the food) as we finished our meal. We used to frequent this Moxie's as we liked the atmosphere, food and drinks. This experience will make us hesitant to return.

Although we had a bit of a hiccup with one of the items we ordered being a bit undercooked the manager/owner had come out and apologized and was going to rectify the problem right away. He was amazing and the service the entire visit was fantastic! Even with the situation I highly recommend checking this location out, you won't be disappointed!

Excellent service, great atmosphere and the food is delicious. Lots of choices on the menu for all taste buds including vegetarians. Both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages are available. Great location for brunch, lunch, dinner, to meet for a drink or celebration. There is free parking and a major shopping mall is close by.

Save your time and money, food served cold after waiting 30 minutes. Food had no taste, meat was dry and chew, any part that was not covered in BBQ tasted like nothing. The best part of my meal was the beer I ordered when seated.

This is the 2nd Moxie's I've been to, the first was in Guelph which closed, which was no surprise. This location had much more helpful staff and the food was extremely well prepared. I had a steak and it was as good or better than anything you'd get elsewhere.

I’ve been to Moxies location many times. They are always pleasant, and provide great and consistent food quality. Went most recently with my friend and my three month old daughter. They were accommodating to seat us where I could tuck her car seat out of the way no problem. Enjoyed my favourite steak salad and they were able to offer many modifications for my friend to adjust her meal for dietary requirements.

Over priced. Pound of wings and 2 beers =$45 Won’t be going back to this location as I believe all moxies are on their own separate pricing. Too bad as it’s the only one in Barrie. Wing hot sauce is good tho *I did email you and never got a response... So my review went from 2 stars, to 1 star.

Food is AMAZING! Staff very nice, even though we felt a little abandoned after dinner so instead of having coffee and dessert, we left. The only downer of the place is that, if you go for dinner, the place is SO LOUD you have to scream to hear your friends talking! Order the beer samplers - great deal. The fish is great, tacos, sausage, fries, steak, salads, all good.

I came here Saturday afternoon with my husband we sat on the bar side and had an amazing server named paige she was so helpful and recommend the white peach Belleni which I loved , also the food was delicious.I don’t know if they were under staffed or where any of the managers were but the poor girl had so many tables sit at once ??Overall our experience was amazing and definitely will be back because of our amazing service and food we had .

I tried to come back a second time after a month or two after my first visit since covid and was not happy with the customer service at all. During my first visit I justified the terrible service for understaffed that's why servers were standing at the patio entrance talking and looking unorganized. Why my main course came out before I was done appetizer and why I also waited 15 mins before I had to ask someone to bring me my cutlery for my main course. But today I had called in and asked what the wait time was. The server said the patio was open and we didn't need our name put down if we were 5 mins away and could be seated. After parking and coming in we were told there was a 15 mins wait. After 25 mins of waiting we finally got a call. Unfortunately we already made plans to eat elsewhere to celebrate a birthday to a place that knows proper customer service and doesn't give wrong information to patrons.

We visited this location the first night they were able to reopen after the lock down ended. When we showed up around 6pm, there were 10 people inside at various tables. The Maitre D proceeded to tell us they were at full capacity, I was in complete shock and think I actually laughed at him. Then he said due to Covid restrictions, this was their limit. Again I think I laughed in amazement. If you have been to this location, you will know it's quite large and to see 10 people, full capacity, is a joke. There is no way on this planet they are making any money. I feel really bad for these restaurants and their employees. I hope they can make it through this mess. Ok, now we are finally in and sitting at a table, our waitress was awesome and very happy to be back at work. We ordered calamari to start, with chicken rigatoni for me and the 7oz strip loin steak for my wife. When our mains arrived before the appetizer, we were shocked, then the waitress realized she forgot to enter the item on the order. That was disappointing. However, it was the best chicken rigatoni I have ever had in my life, truly amazing. The steak, my wife is still talking about it, perfectly cooked. At check out, the waitress took our drinks off the bill in lieu of her mistake on the appetizer. Overall, fantastic experience and will go back.

Great food, TERRIBLE service. The "waitress" took over 45 minutes to ask me what I wanted to drink, she kept ignoring our table. We did not get any plates for the food we were sharing. We had to ask several times for cutlery, since the staff thinks we don't need a fork, spoon, knife nor napkins with our food. I used to enjoy going to Moxie's and was willing to pay the extra bit of money for good food and service. Well it seems they have let the bar fall, and now I would much rather just go to a big chain place like Kelsey's or Jack Astor's. We went for dinner tonight and we were seated within a minute or two which was good, but that's all that was good about our evening. Our server took over 10 minutes to come greet us and take a drink order after we were seated, and another 10 minutes to actually get the drinks. The table that was seated beside us around the same time had appitizers on their table before we even had our drinks, and it was well over 45 minutes before we got our first sniff of any food. The portions were much smaller than expected for the cost, and the grilled chicken breast I ordered looked like half a piece pounded out flat to look bigger. It was just overcooked and dry. The rest of the food was just ok at best, definately nothing to remember. The server was pleasant, but had no sense of awareness. We only saw him two times from the time we ordered to the time the bill came. I think I have had enough of this place, its just not what I would expect to get from a restaurant at its price point. Also, here's a tip...if you feel that it is absolutly necessary to have a girl dressed in tight black shirts and skirts holding the door, make sure they are presentable. The girl we had tonight had a shirt on that was so tight you could see her white bra through it like a mesh top, and the tight clothes definatly didnt give us a nice feeling as we were going in. I don't want to comment on size or personal appearance by any means, but the outfit she was wearing was not flattering or tasteful in the service industry. Definately not classy.

My sister and I had lunch here, when phase 2 opened up for outside dining only. Even know it was a bit cool out, the seats were dry and comfortable. The wait staff really nice and taking extra time to ensure a safe dining experience. The food arrived quickly. Not sure the of the name of the app we ate but it was SO good. Was like chicken with other goodness that you ate in a lettuce wrap with. The Beef Dip was hot and filling and the pretzel bun a nice touch.I love my beer too! Over all a great experience.

Today I had the most disappointing and worst dining experience ever. I've been to 5 other moxies locations ( frequently) and this is the WORST location. The hostess who walked my friend and i to our table was extremely rude. She walked us to a set of tables next to the washrooms and we asked to be seated in a booth ... i asked her if it was okay if we sat at the empty booth we passed .. she rolled her eyes at us then sighed loudly then asked us if we want her to clean the table because there was left over food scraps on it from previous guest. During our time we had 5 different waiters within a 2 hour spand of time which was confusing. when we were ready to place our order for the main dish we waited over 30 mins .. i stood up at my table hoping to make contact with a server but was ignored. There were only 4 other tables occupied ( the rest was empty) in the dining room so having to wait and be ignored was ridiculous. When i finally made contact with a server and told her we're ready to order she rolled her eyes and told us " i can't help you" then walked off. After another 15 mins a server approached us and said he's taking over for our server meanwhile we has no clue who our server was because we had 4 other servers come us and said they're shift is ending so we'll be helped by someone else. When the 5th server approached us.. he did not smile or introduce himself to us.. he rolled his eyes and had an unsatisfied look on his face.. the only thing he said to us was "what do you want.." then took the order and said "k" and walked off. This same server went to serve 2 other tables and smiled at them and seemed nice. It so happened that my friend and I were the only coloured individuals in this establishment...all of the servers were Caucasian and guests were Caucasian in the dining room. Why did we not get the same treatment was the other guests??? Our food took forever! When the food came it was absolutely terrible and cold. I ordered the beef vindaloo and my friend ordered the fish tacos. My rice portion was uncooked and I had 1 piece of beef in my cold sauce. I've had the beef dish over 15 times already from other locations and i know what the standard is and this was NOT it. We proceeded to order the white chocolate brownie which was a mistake. It was dry and hard.. it was disgusting. My experience today was an absolute joke. I frequently visit various moxies locations for business lunches and dinners. I cannot believe how disappointing the service and food was. I asked multiple times to speak to the manager and the waiters / waitresses rolled their eyes,walked away, and ignored me. I would appreciate if upper management can comment to this post with a contact number or email. I'm extremely upset over the treatment I received today at this location.

I really don't know how to start this review. We went in there to grab something to eat the initial contact was very friendly, we were asked about four times if we would like to place a order in a span of 10 minutes, we placed our drinks I had some wine my spouse had a cocktail like drink and while she was pouring the wine she spilled it twice under the table, she did not clean it up once we were ready to place our order it took about another 6 to 7 minutes till somebody showed up. However the restaurant was not that busy occupancy maybe 10%, I ordered the honey garlic steak medium the menu says seasonal vegetables just pointing out its plural, and I also chose to have the potato that's filled with cream smashed potatoes. My wife chose a chicken alfredo style pasta. The one that I was served the Shiraz you can see it in the picture the only Shiraz that comes in a glass and not available in any other form didn't taste so good. My smashed potato felt like it came from a microwave. Are appetizer the bruschetta was good but you could tell it was pre prepped as well it wasn't freshly-made. While we were eating we got approached three times by the waitress and I would assume the store manager how everything is, as you can tell I was just laughing and telling them everything is okay but it wasn't. My steak came with one huge chunk of a broccoli and they call it seasonal vegetables I would call that one piece of broccoli in the menu I would right so so customers would understand that you're not getting vegetables and broccoli is definitely not seasonal. I ate only two thirds of my plate and I must admit that my steak did not come medium it came medium rare as you can see in the picture, wife's food tasted way better than mine. I did initially also made a remark to the waitress that the broccoli is not plural and it's just one piece trunk of a veggie sitting at the side of my dish she said that's all we get. Scouring the entire experience at this location service 5 out of 10 food steak if you're going to have some I give it a 2 out of 10 location design and comfort a seven and a half out of 10. Recommendations in regards going there if you think that you want to eat premium there are better locations out there but I would not choose this location for premium food it's more average food for premium money.

Terrible meal, terrible service, large bill! Myself and two other dinners had steaks. I had the honey garlic CAB sirloin. Terrible, bland under seasoned, no pepper cook on the steak! The stuffed baked potato was really bad. Some kind of frozen food product. Tasted like re-heated bland potato, could not taste any of of the advertised additions to the potato. one of my dinning companions said it reminded him of something from M&M meats. I felt something from M&M would actually taste much better, that saying a lot. this food is total garbage and an insult to the customer. One of my dining companions had the NY Steak. It was bland and colourless, no steak spice, pepper or salt on the 1.5cm thick steak. It was alms colourless, and reminded us of a grocery store pork chop. At $31 we felt ripped off. Adding insult to injury he asked for butter for his bland potato and was given margarine. This place is terrible. Avoid at all costs.

Amazing service and food! I honestly love coming here and have a perfect visit every time. Brooke was absolutely amazing, she took great care of us and we are excited to come back! I felt bad for the staff on this specific night as there was a woman screaming at the nice gentleman at the door that was just doing his job. The man had explained that with the certain circumstances going on in the world that they could not seat all the tables due to capacity limits put on by the government, but for some reason this woman felt entitled to be above everyone and demanded a table even though the ones she was pointing at had been previously reserved. She started getting aggressive and demanded the mans name so he gave her the General managers card. She made a total scene, out of the employees control. He handled the situation with complete ease and professionalism, which is why me and my partner enjoy coming back time and time again.

Only thing that concerned us and will cause us not to be back anytime soon is we watched our waitress pick up dirty glasses from another table and put them on a tray and leave them on that table, then handed another table their utensils from her pouch and then handed us a debit machine from her pouch all without washing her hands in between. My daughter works in the restaurant business right now and the wait staff are strictly told do not pick up dirty dishes from the table and if you do by accident, immediately wash your hands after. So that was a little disappointing, we will wait till Covid is over before returning to this restaurant.

I had the worst experience here and I will never return, my girlfriends and I attended here one evening I believe on a wednesday, and we were out to have a nice evening to enjoy some wine. The waiter brought us all a glass of wine and upon arrival to our table, dropped all the glasses and shards of glass fell on me, and i got completely drenched, we continued to move forward and enjoy the night, however I was completely taken back that after cutting myself, and having a full glass of wine poured on me, all they took off my bill was 4.00 for the spilt glass of wine,, there were no genuine apologies, or anything, I am so disappointed, and I will not return to this location again, i really should have spoken up at the time I was there, but I just wanted to enjoy my evening. I was so upset with manager not even acknowledging what happened or offering to do anything for me, so rude.

Horrible food and service...the only thing that caused this rating not to be a 1 was the management. Went out for my anniversary and the server was a total jerk, the food was horrible (burnt steak, undercooked rice). My wife complained to the server (which she never complains about anything, that is usually my job but I was just thinking I would never return) and the server started arguing with my wife that the cook was a great cook. I challenged the guy to eat the rice and tell me it was good, so he got management who actually dealt with the situation well but still damage done, have never been back. Learn how to hire useful staff as our waiter was extremely rude the entire evening and really should be fired for such a performance...

So disappointed with service. Went into have dinner at 4:30pm. Restaurant had approximately 5 tables where others were sitting. Had to ask for sour cream for baked potato and Mayo for the club. Not once were we asked how our meals were. Not even at the time the $181.00 bill was dropped on our table. The three people who had drinks were asked twice if they wanted refills but the two other with empty glasses on table were not asked if they wanted a refill. Our chicken Szechuan dish was so bland and full of broccoli. We were hoping for something interesting and even worried it might be too spicy but it was watery and so bland..did I tell you how bland it was? Tasted like some reheated; not recommended

We went there about a year ago, waitress kept checking on us and took care of us, very sweet girl as well. Food came out, can't remember what family ordered but it Was absolutely amazing! Thank you for excellent customer service, excellent food and can't wait for the reopening!

I had an interview at this moxies a while ago and the manager I initially met with was super nice and made it sound like she was very interested in hiring me. She told me to come back to meet the other manager two days later and i told her I didnt have anyone to watch my daughter and she said I could bring her in and that it would be "more fun". I showed up for the second interview and the other manager had no idea I was coming in as there was no communication she looked displeased and said she wasnt prepared but sat down with me for a moment. She asked me maybe two questions and told me that there was a lot of other applicants. She didn't give me the time of day and didnt consider me. The only rational conclusion I can come to is that she judged me off of my appearance or the fact that I had a baby with me. I told the first girl to call me if there was a problem with having my daughter there and i could come in another day. Overall, my time was wasted and I was left with a sour taste in my mouth because of how I was judged without even being interviewed or considered and the lack of communication between management was poor business practice in my opinion.

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. The hostess walked me way to fast to my seat as i was with my toddler who just started walking i guess she was in a rush i found it rude. on top of that my husbands beer both had 3 inches of foam on it i didn't wanna say anything BECAUSE it seems obvious no one would want that much foam. food was alright had it better other nights. waiter didn't seem over nice, she look tired. as i notice other waiters standing around not helping her. just rather spend money somewhere that will leave a better impression on me.

No better place in Barrie to chow down. We walked in, were greeted with a smile and seated promptly. The service was executed with precision and was timely. Lauren, our service attendant was polite and jovial and gave us exceptional choices. Everything is nice. Highly recommended.

We came for lunch after coming into Barrie from Six Mile Lake before hitting up Horse Shoe Resort. The restuarant was welcoming and beautiful inside. Waitress was friendly and efficient and the food was to die for! Fish tacos and salsa is a must! What really impressed me though was how genuinely concerned they were about my sons peanut allergy. The manager even came to the table to inform us about what our options are and personally brought the dessert out to us. Thanks so much!

Good service, nice atmosphere, but food portion are small for the price especially the appetizer, calamari tasted ok but was very soggy, my steak was not hot, but only warm like it was sitting waiting for the rest of the order. It was cooked properly though. Much pricier them I remember. The broccoli cheese soup was not as cheesy as before and was brought in a little bowl the size of a tims soup. No wonder it was maybe 1/4 full on a Saturday night 630pm.

We got seated on the patio and no one greeted us for 25 minutes. There was 5 other tables who were there for as long as we were and even 30+ minutes without getting greeted… and those 5 tables eventually all walked out. During this, servers kept walking by and making no eye contact and then for a long period of time there was no servers to even be found on the patio. This continued to happen with different tables during our stay. Horrible service and will not be returning.

Excellent in every way. I first went years ago and periodically drop by. It’s always beautiful, clean, efficient, and absolutly delicious. This time I got a chicken madeira rigatoni with a salted caramel white russian and half-sized hazelnut cheesecake for dessert. The main dish was possibly the best pasta I’ve ever had. I can’t think of better, honestly. The drink was nice and creamy with the perfect amount of alcohol. And the dessert... I can’t keep thinking about it. It makes me sad I can’t be noshing some right now. I miss you, hazel! The staff are courteous and efficient as always. I hope some of them are in heels because they choose to be, I hate to think they experience unnecessary discomfort due to pressure. They do a fantastic job, all of them. And I don’t know why but I’ve always been intrigued by the washroom. They’re dimly lit and feel way too comfortable for a busy restaurant. I almost want to live there, they’re that nice. Anyway, if you haven’t been to Moxie’s in Barrie yet, you’re doing yourself a terrible disservice. Check it out and then come back to thank me.

The Moxie's in Georgian Mall is a good one. In general they usually are. I have only had one unpleasant experience and this was in London , Ontario several years ago. The one thing I do miss is the fact that they removed the Beef Tournedos from their menus...that was my favourite!!

So disappointed with the lack of healthy options that are dairy and meat free... Even the stir-fry sauce is not an option... Most restaurants now offer options for people with food allergies... Very dissatisfied with the "oh well" attitude, and your lack of empathy for your clientele won't be winning you any awards.

It wasn't the best experience. Food and Drinks took a while...one of the drink orders were forgotten and we had to ask for it again....food was not hot when we got it....and two of the steaks ordered were tough and not very good....the worst part was.... our server finished her shift and left. No one ever came from the bar to check on us to see if we wanted anything. We eventually went to the bar to get someone. This happened to us last Friday and last night...I could understand if the restaurant was busy....but it wasn't.....Moxie's please check your bathrooms...for a peak time like Saturday night they were in terrible shape....on the plus side...the atmosphere is fantastic and the booths are comfortable and spacious... Oct20th Update: The Manager read my review and contacted me. That in itself was shocking....who does that these days?....I spoke to him and he was kind and listened to everything that I had to say. He explained the circumstances surrounding the evening...and I appreciated that he took the time to contact me. Folks the takeaway here is that sometimes things aren't always as they seem....these people are the real deal in terms of Customer Service and they passionately care about your experience. Based on this Manager...His name was Grant....His passion for service and his explanation to me regarding that evening.....we will be returning to Moxie's. After all the ambiance is top notch....Go to this place and say hi to him for me.....Bravo Moxie's!!!

Wasn't a big fan of the menu. Very onion-heavy. I ended up getting a steak. It took forever to come out and was cold. The peppercorn sauce was hardened with a skin on it, so it was clearly sitting there for a while. About half the people we were with had cold food as well. I'm not sure why this was an issue because there were only two other tables with customers. My steak was also much smaller and lower quality than what I could have gotten at The Keg for the same price. We didn't get our water refilled once during the meal, or asked if we wanted any more drinks. The waitress disappeared mid way through the meal, and some other guy came at the end of the meal to check on us. We asked for the bill, and we never saw him again. About twenty minutes later another waitress walked by and we had to ask her for the bills. Will not be going back to that location.

We recently had lunch at Moxie's and if you are a fan of blackened seasoning it is a great place to go. I had the Blackened Chicken burger and my wife had the Blackened Shrimp Tacos and we both really liked the seasoning. I followed my lunch with the Salted Caramel Cheesecake which was light and flavourful. We also had very good service.

Acting supervisor was dishonest about why food took so long and did not even try to make any amends. Next time Grant tell the truth. Honesty goes along way and people do understand things happen.

My wife and I decided to have a later lunch here today. The food was superb. Our server was quick and efficient. He did not give his name though and we did not check on the bill for it either. Not a big deal. Tyler, the Bar Manager touched base with us. This young man has the hospitality gene through and through. Well spoken, articulate, mature and charismatic. Being a former GM myself, in the industry. I can see this young man enjoying a rewarding career in the field. Definitely a face of the franchise for years to come. I would give zero stars if I could for the cobb salad. 25$ for a salad that had frozen lettuce and way too much plastic packaging. All I asked for was bacon on the side but I had to assemble the whole thing by myself. There was one gram of cheese for the whole salad. The tomatoes were rotten.I didnt do anything to deserve this. This felt mean, if I wanted to be bullied I would have been in an s&m relationship.

Staff are always very kind and in good spirits.. ample parking.. and its in a great location. aftwr writing this review now im hungry for the whipped feta with roasted tomatoes appetizer kind of a twist on bruschetta... The inside is absolutely gorgeous. The bathrooms are beautiful and clean. A very fancy place. However, It's wayyyy to expensive, their menu selection is minimal and the food wasn't very good. I would never return. If your looking for a big juicy burger, steak or pasta with meatsauce- probably not the place for you.
