Unfortunately December 13th 2019 was my second time trying to see big wreck this year once at the cancelled roxodus concert, and then became very ill while in Mavericks Music Hall I'm guessing someone was sick in there and passed it on. Hoping 20/20 works out and I will try again to see them. I absolutely love Ian Thornley!????????????

Saw Steel Panther here recently and it was an excellent experience. A great view with a dance floor that is not too big and not too small. A great venue for live acts and the management is one of a kind.

Saw My Son The Hurricane at Mavericks Music Hall. The band was fantastic. Lots of energy, great moves and musicians. The sound in the club was the worst I've ever experienced at a live venue. For a club that prides itself on being a live venue they need to do much better. I will not be back.

Came to see USS. Acoustics were good but the VIP was oversold and there was a lack of seating. Also the VIP bar took cash only and there was no sign to mention it so my partner and I had to pay a $3 transaction fee at the ATM. Service was also very slow as they had 1 bartender. Other than that great venue but needs a bit more organization.

Good sound good size drinks cost a smidge more than average and if you're getting a beer(Canadian,Coors light) you dont even get a tall can over n all still a decent place to see bigger touring artists and older veteran bands

A fairly spacious venue. Was previously The Roxx for over a decade. Two bars within the building for swifter service. A decent wood plank dance floor, although I lament that is is not larger. The elevated walkways are sometimes roped off as VIP areas. I prefer when they are open to the general populace. The loo is a little rough. Great acoustics.

I've been here 3 times so far for concerts (Cold Creek County, Kip Moore and Theory of a Deadman). Love how small the venue is - males for a great show. A few small set backs : the bars/ledges in the middle of the floor half way to the stage are great if your standing against them but the amount of people slamming into you to get to the front not knowing they are there creates a painful night. The audio booth section near the back.. it's not in the way or anything.. IF your employees keep seated especially when they are over 6ft tall.. for no reason he stood the entire show and just pushed his chair to the side.. kinda sucks when there's a whole group of girls behind him under 5'6. So Theory sounded great but I watched the back of this guys head because he was a statue the whole time (and the place was to packed to try moving somewhere else).

I absolutely LOVE this place! I hadn't been to this location since college and was so happy to find the exact same vibe now, as then! We just saw Texas King and Bigfoots hand open for Big Wreck and were completely blown away by how great the acoustics were as well as the almost non-existent wait time at the bar in a sold out show (packed house)! The security was friendly yet firm so everything was super relaxed. Can't wait to go back for more great music!

It's really amazing what they've done with that historic building. Light shows fireworks on the ceilings for New Year's. Barrie's best venue for concerts ie. Big Wreck and USS and the birthday bash, but on the regular nights take the country and I hate country. But all my friends work there. Did a great job Al!

Great for shows. I was only there for the Peter Jackson and Nelly concert all work no play tour but besides that I wouldn't of gone there. Dirty work goes on there the owner isn't loyal to his employees or people he does work with.

This was a great venue for a concert! I saw Kip Moore and Drake White there. The concert was great. I upgraded to the VIP pass which was worth the extra $10. We bypassed the long line up and got a great spot, nice and close to the stage!

My wife and I came from London for the trews show. One of our good friends is from Barrie originally. Decent venue with some renovations mavricks could be way cooler. All in all a good time. Barrie knows how too rock!!

We went and saw Big Wreck and were having a great time. We were on our second drink when out of nowhere a bouncer came by a told my girlfriend that she had to leave. I thought this was a joke of some kind or they had the wrong person. I asked him why and he said she was too drunk. WHAT? She only had 2 drinks. We were not bothering anyone and were just enjoying the bands. Thanks a lot dude. We will never go back there again. Pretty shady staff that work there. Seems like he either had the wrong person or he was enjoying a power trip.

Just saw the sheepdogs here. Had a great time here sober. I was driving. Staff were friendly, line was efficient (no searching) but the staff would not accept any form of moshing or crowd surfing. Those people were instantly ejected. 100% would go again $7 dollar beers and $5 energy drinks

In downtown Barrie. Rundown and dungeony. But maybe it was bad lighting. Has a decent stage. It has two sections for a front seating which is also a dance floor and space behind for additional seating or dancing. Washrooms are clean but need to be spruced up. Actually the whole place needs some serious sprucing up.
